Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

Matsu gave a nod of her head to that while she was going now. If they could get up there and find something well then that might make it all pretty good for them. She was interested after all in what they did here. SHe was looking at Domino though and got the one door opened. "We'll find it and hey if you want you can ask me questions. Get to know each other better." She offered it with a smile on her face though while she was going turning on a glow rod to see the stairs going up. The lift she knew would likely be non functional so the stairs it was... all the way up and they at least looked like no one had been in them.

"So, any kids?" Domino asked as they began their climb. She wasn't sure about this getting to know each other better bit, life on the streets and later being a spy meant that opening up wasn't something she'd ever been good at. Yet if she ever did it'd be with this woman. They'd been friendly for a long time and allies of more than just convenience. Matsu was someone that she not only trusted, but counted as a friend, perhaps her only friend these days.

"Hmmm seven." She said it and was walking now. "She is having twins." The grin was on her face when she got up the stairs opening one fo the doors and heading down the hallway. "I am from a large family and for some reason well.. kind of like the idea of having a number of children so they will never be alone." Grtanted some of them were strange in it. Lorieth and Willow were interesting at tiomes but she was more then hapy to see that they were roaming around the galaxy and helping with the other groups. Neither of her children though had fallen to the darkside.. if anything they seemed to be reinforced within the light.

Domino nearly missed a step at that, seven! That was an incredible number. With two more coming! "Raz and I," her throat tightened with emotions even after all this time. "She couldn't and I wouldn't." There, she'd gotten it out. "It actually never came up." Two women, different species entirely, they hadn't even considered it a possibility. Though now she had that genome cylinder and she still had the needed data to clone Razelle, as disastrous as that had turned out last time...

Instead of continuing the conversation Domino mulled over her thoughts as she followed Matsu out of the stairwell. The blaster that descended from the ceiling to protect the Director's office reached the end of its descent and continued down to the floor as its armature and wiring fell from its hiding place in a shower of sparks. Domino for her part just seemed preoccupied with her thoughts without seeming to notice.

Matsu was looking at Domino and gave a nod of her head to the twi'lek as they were moving and she understood but wouldn't bring it up or continue ti line of conversation. The jedi master was prepared as the turret was coming out of the ceiling and it fell down to the floor. Giving a small look though as she raised an eyebrow to check out some of it. "Well that was easier." She said it and opened the door placing a hand on her friends shoulder for comfort as she didn't have to speak but continued to offer support. Matsu was going towards the console though and bringing it up as the droid was there. Sitting with jet black plating and red photoreceptors. Its hands were made very different with equipment in the fingers until she gave a nod of her head. "Well he might be able to help us."

Feeling Matsu's hand on her shoulder fetl nice. It told her that there was someone that still cared for her for reasons other than what she could do or give them. The droid however chilled her. Protocol droids didn't look like that, assassin droids did to intimidate, interrogation droids to unsettle, and Domino didn't need to flow walk to know that this droid was bad news, for anyone other than the two that now walked in. "Think you found your new toy?" She asked making her way to the side of the desk for a better look. Her only concession to the potential danger the droid represented was to slip the hilt of one of her sabers into her hand, she even left the blade un-ignited.

Matsu looked at her and then at the droid as she spoke. "POssibly.. the idea of the droid is quite innovative. They didn't have to make a new model, using its base programming of interacting it can easily translate millions of species. I can respect practical purposes and with this well they could have it hide in plain sight." Hmm she was looking at it though and pulled a small cord out from her chevron wrist blade connecting to the droid and getting minimal power enough to check its memories for security codes or other information that could be invaluable. "Looks like he was programmed to if the commander tried to delay production of what they were making he was to kill them."

That must have been unpleasant. Domino knew that a slow-down was often the most practical thing to do when a situation became dangerous. Either to assess and identify problems or to fix something wrong. Being a commander with a sword like that hanging over her head.... Domino probably would have destroyed the droid quite quickly. "You find out what they were making?" Nothing in the repair shop had given her a clue but then they'd barely explored anything other than that, the entrance, and this room. And wasn't this supposed to be a listening post or something? What could they have been producing way out here?

"Yeah kind of... I don't think anyone would like it." THe jedi master looked at it and brought up an image. Mostly it was degraded but not from well use but from the terrible quality. "Based on what they were doing, they were trying to repair a long range listening post set up on Bedlam. Which.... explains so much." She had been there before, she knew the legends... well she knew the facts... legends was just something you told others and she also knew what they had been looking at in the image. "THat is wutzek, a force god... if they were trying to monitor and listen to him... they might have been trying to repair his cage and he might not like that."

"Never heard of him." Domino admitted. "Though if the imperials kept him in a cage I doubt he's a god." Her training and study had been on more practical things and theory that could applied, obscure history and legend wasn't of interest to her and while she did occasionally take the twi'lek's goddess's name in vain on occasion, it was just an expression to her.

Leaning over Matsu's shoulder she peered at the image the Jedi has brought up. "Makes more sense for any listening post to be directed at the Aing-tii."

"Yes it does." She knew a few things and there were certainly powerful beings in the galaxy... some well they appeared as gods. long lives that were measured in stars burning out more then years... who couold manipulate space and time. The bedlam were powerful, wutzek was dangerous and there was always other things that one could find. "Observing the Aing-Tii could benefit a lot or if they were looking for information about the well and darkstryder." Those were certainly possibilities. "THis is rather exciting.... the chance that they might have learned any number of things or what could have been a few of the more stranger things in the galaxy."

"Why don't you ask your new friends? Stands to reason that they'd know pretty much everything about the region. Could fill in any gaps in the imperial data." Asking the experts had a tendency to work wonders in Domino's experience. Saved a lot of time and poodoo to get the correct answer first and then work your way back through the how or why.

In the back of her mind she felt a sudden spike of joy tinged through with satisfaction and felt the ghost taste of blood gushing through her mouth to flow down her throat. Domino closed her eyes and shivered momentarily at the overwhelming sensations. Out in the jungle her pet had made a kill and shared the sensations of victory.

She looked at Domino with a look on her face but gave a nod of her head. "I could ask them, show them the information and see what they will be able to say." Her smirk though was there and there was a curiosity as she felt something from Domino but moved around the screen. She could check on the droid itself though and the information they might be able to learn from it. "We'll have to see though, they are more then hapy to help some people but ah they aren't always the most wanting to remain isolated." She wasn't worried about them not helping her but going to them for things like this might be rude to their perspective. Sometimes the Aing-Tii just wanted to be left alone.
