Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
[member="Domino"]

She looked at her and raised an eyebrow mostly for fun. "Alright, alright... lets head out." She was thinking about it and now she was moving quickly while they moved. here in the jungle she could fee the heat and humidity herself. Her eyes flicking around while she moved and pulled out one fo the glow rods so that they would be able to see and check around. She was going through the trees, the massive leaves until the first signs of it were there. The dirt had been cleared and slowly trees had started growing from it, to reclaiming the larger area around it. The trees were far younger where she could see it and it was still more open then dense but the overgrown walls and broken sections were there. "Your skills with a saber aren't too rusty are they?"

"Nah, mostly been practicing with the pike these days," Domino said as she nodded her head back towards the weapon poking out over her shoulder. That didn't mean that she didn't still carry her sabers, but those were mostly what she used for back-up or if the pike wasn't suited for the situation she was in. Or if she just didn't feel like toting more than a meter of weapon around. Suffice to say, the pike was for trouble, her sabers were for everyday carry. Honestly though, anything she could accomplish with either of the saber weapons paled in comparison to what she could accomplish with the force these days. "Lead on to the facility and let me know once we reach the defensive perimeter, I'll take care of the rest if you like." It wasn't boasting per-se, but Domino would be lying if she said she wasn't looking forward to showing off at least a little.

Matsu gave a nod of her head to that while she looked on and letting her handle it or thinking about it at least well.. That would go well for them. "Perhaps, don't know what we might find down here." She was looking at it and there was the facility she could see, the beginnings of the fence that was left over but without power and over time the sides of it showed wear and tear. Coming off when she was slipping through motioning for Domino as she looked on. The fence could provide a few other things as she walked into a small guardhouse heading up towards the building. She could see some parts of it and nothing worked but her datapad was still going out to work detection on some fo the wires. "There is some power still, minimal enough to go through the lines. They might have found a geothermal vent to tap or something to get power naturally instead of just a reactor."

While Matsu busied herself with the gatehouse, Domino eyed the fence and stark facility behind it. It was a dark, squat, thing typical of imperial design and she could see a pair of reinforced bunkers flanking the doors with what looked like slits for heavy repeaters.

Gathering the force, she casually leaped the barrier.

Matsu gave it a look for herself and allowed the force to guide her hands. She finished with the gatehouse as Domino was leaping over the fence. What remained there when she moved around with most of her attention. Tjhe area beyond she was worried might still be active but as she watched intently there was something. The grinding of gear and machinery as the turrets tried to move with the last remains of power she had sen. They moved but got tangled up and stuck while trying to move and track the target... THe jedi master leaping over to join her and she was throwing glob grenades into the slits to fill them and stop the turrets.

"Must you be so wreckless?" She said it with a smile though on her face and was moving towards the massive doors as she spioke. "Tunqstoid, super heavy and not exactly something you want to try and move on your own without the anti grav tracks that are for it." She was trying to find it and search around when she clasped a hand on the one side... It was as thick and heavy as she imagined but the jedi master knew it wasn't immune to a saber.. it was just not always something practical to cut through it. With most jedi who encountered the material choosing a less prolonged method of getting through.

Domino shrugged, she knew that they wouldn't track to her, Matsu blowing them up however did surprise her. Well that had taken care of the repair droid the turrets' auto-diagnostic had summoned. "Please, I've had my share of wrecks." She joked back purposefully misinterpreting her companion's question. "And we're not going to move it, we're going to go through it." Her face was lined with determination as she strode towards it and placed her palm to the door. Tunqstoid wasn't really one of the more exotic materials the Twi'lek had come across, it was simply a super-dense alloy. 'Simply....' Riiight.

Closing her eyes she sent a pulse of the force through the door, sounding out its atoms with Art of the Small. Shatterpoint was usually what most high-level forcers went for next on the list of rare and high-end powers, and it was a natural precession. Domino hadn't bothered. Instead she did what she'd done at the relic vault on Endor and started breaking apart the electron bonds holding the door together. Slowly at first and then gaining in rapidity as she gained more energy to work with, a hole formed in the center of the blast door as bits of it fell away in a sand-like consistency until there was a path large enough for each of the women to pass through.

Matsu was looking at her with a nod of her head to that, they had everything here and knew what they were doing. She moved towards the door watching it, seeing the sand while her hand came down and she was going through. "Impressive." A smile on her face to Domino while they could head in and the halway was dark.. but it was mostly sealed with a clean area the scent of old air, mold an dust was all around. "I don't think anyone has opened these doors in centuries." Matsu was looking at some parts of it along the walls bringing out the glow rod with a nod of her head. "Here we go." She was trying to find a map or something to give them a general idea of the layout. "Lets see if we can find the generator or control center.. somewhere to try and get power going."

Domino nodded at the compliment and then sniffed as she tested the musty air. "Could find a terminal and have a Cyclops jack in, but if this place holds to the standard imperial layout power is at the bottom and command at the top."

Walking to other side of the entryway, she hesitate peering down a dark hall before pulling back around the corner. A sphere of purple energy shot through with darker swirls and the occasional pink spark grew into existence in her palm. Lobbing it around the corner, Domino sent it hurtling through the ceiling. A moment later the mangled remains of a hidden turret fell through. "Clear." The blue lady reported in a mild tone.

"Yeah leave it to the Imperials to not make things easier for people coming to the base." She wanted to see a few things until the jedi master was checking the other parts here. SHe at times dislikes Imperial designs but they did have their uses sending one of the smaler drones out to scout around while she reached out with the force to guide her hands. Getting one of the power cables and splicing it just right to hook up a gincho power cell that would provide them power to some fo the systems as the computers were beginnign to light up. Covered in dust and debris where the transparasteel was cracked and open to the world itself. "We might be able to find some things here but I am curious about what we might be able to get out of it." She said it until seeing Domino... their plan of searching here may be able to get them soem information in the database. "I am not seeing mjuch, the screen is cracked. How good is your technical skills with hooking an external monitor?"

"Back in my rebel days that's how I sliced into everything. Just hooked up and let the intrusion packets run." Really she hadn't ever been a true slicer/code monkey, the code just took to long to understand and make do what she wanted. After rummaging around in her pack she pulled out a thick data pad and plugged it into the data jack. A few moments later the screen lit up with menus.

Imperial encryption had always been top-notch, and secure facilities like this got the best the Empire had to offer. The codes they used took days to crack, if they even could be. That was the better part of eight hundred years ago though, the data pad in Domino's hand had more processing than most of these computers and was raised on tougher code. Less than a minute of her decrypt program running and it was beeping it's success.

"We're in," Domino told her companion as she handed the pad over to her. Displayed proudly on its screen was the imperial terminal's root menu ready for browsing.

Matdu was loolking at Domino and she gave a nod of her head to it. The slicing interfaces she had been seeing were working wonders and Domino was elder here she knew what they were doing and the systems they were encountering here. The jedi master crouched and pried at a vent she could use to open up into the next room. "Alright, see what you can do and either disable the security or start up the systems. So we can start working on the files and anything they might have had here." She said it and had a small grin o her face so she could check it out. Starting to cut into the next room with a whisper of the force coming off of her so she would reach out and search within the facility.

Taking back the offered datapad, Domino fiddled around in the computer system for a good few minutes before most of the lights in the room came on. "There, I got one of the auxiliary generators to start up, I couldn't tell if the main generator is dead or just its remote start, but we should be good for the time being. As for the defenses, any still remaining are on a different circuit, probably have to be shut down from a security room or admin office." That wasn't something she was too worried about though, the defenses outside had been pretty heavy and she'd already taken care of what she'd termed the 'welcoming committee.' Much more defense on the interior would likely have been seen as overkill and worse, wasted budget.

So instead of worrying about it, she unlocked the doors she could and packed her stuff back up before turning to watch Matsu do her stuff.

Matsu cut through into the next office, the building was well perserved but the walls were filled with rubble and overgrowth to block them from being able to get through. Where she was looking though once she kicked at the wall and opened it up to slip through. The jedi master was looking at one fo the labs before she was pulling the section of wall to make it larger for Domino to get through. She couldn't see much but she brought her hand up making a glow ball sending it into the air to brighten up the room with a grin on her face. "There we go, looks like this was one of the rooms for repairing and working on equipment. I doubt anything works but vintage equipment like this could be worth a good amount."

"Right, well if you find an E-eleven b let me know, I've been missing my old one." Domino had always been more of a collector than a reseller, at least ever since she could afford to be and not starve or skip rent, and the 11-b had solved several of the larger problems its predecessor had had. Time and scarcity had inflated a few thousand percent over the old price though. As Matsu widened the hole so that she didn't have to crawl through, she followed the Jedi in and took a look around for herself. "You want a mouse droid?" She asked picking up the shell of one. "Or a stormtrooper helmet?"

Hmm she was liking that idea and getting some of these older model pieces. They could trade or sell them to collectors. She knew some people even for non functioning armor and weapons would pay a lot... too much time on their hands or cannibalize it and use the materials to make new things. EIther way as she saw the Mouse droids the jedi master crouched down and spoke with a look on her face. "Well those would be great to have around the ship. How I used to pass notes in the jedi temple to Chora." She said it but was moving with a grin on her face. "THough lets see what we will be able to find here for you to like or something super special this facility had on top of the known secret projects."

Domino just kinda boggled at that for a moment. The woman wanted mouse droids to pass notes? Something she could do with any comm or datapad or the force? "Who's Chora?" She asked instead of bringing any of that up. Tact was a thing, she used it occasionally. As for the droid casing, she just put it back where she'd found it. Matsu could easily come back for it once theyd finished with her mission.

Matsu looked at her and tilted her head... had she not... Hmm curious. "My first wife, she passed away." She had seen her within the netherworld but looking over at Domino she spoke. "We met in the temple on Coruscant and used the mse droids to pass notes to each other since jedi aren't supposed to be distracted." She was looking over at a few things though, holding up a blaster and it was a different look and design. "looks close to an old DC-17 but scaled down a little. THey might have tried to restock commando's here."

"You were married? Are married?" Domino asked as the implications of what Matsu said hit her. This was a side hey friend she'd never known about and it surprised her. It didn't matter that she liked girls, Domino had learned long ago that you found love where you found it, and in a galaxy of aliens she'd heard of stranger. Heck, the only person Domino had loved had been a girl.

Still, as wild as Domino's mind was going, the cool analytical part of her had grasped on the information about the blaster. DC-17, a clone weapon from before the Empire. That dated this facility to the early days of Matsu's theory held true. Otherwise it may have been collected for research into reconfigurable weaponry. Other well known early Imperial research, Death Star, TIE Defender, Dark Trooper. Possible connection to the last, compartmentalized t research could be spread out with minimal information sharing.

Matsu looked at Domino and had a look on her face of amusement when she watched her. "Yes, I was and we had children." She smiled checking her out though so they would be able to move around and check out some of the others. "I don't know what they were doing with the weapons but the older the facility the more likely given the remoteness of the location that they were maybe experimenting." She wanted to see it until her hands clasped behind her back. "THough I am surprised by it, perhaps they were working on other things then just hyperspace technologies. I know the empire liked turning just about anything they could into a weapon of some sort."

Huh, just went to show that there was always something new to people, not that she ever shared much herself. But Matsu was getting them back on track. "Then let's head up and see if the director left any personal messages or notes behind for us to glean any information from." Fact was they could stand around here speculating all the liked, but until they actually went upstairs and found the records it wouldn't actually mean anything.
