OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: Pushing forty, he is considered quite old for his species.
  • Force Sensitivity: Master
  • Species: Chadra-Fan
  • Appearance: A little batlike creature covered in white fur, Khayyam is a Chadra-Fan. He looks ridiculously cute, even among his species, with his large eyes, tall pink ears, and seemingly innocent expression. His clothing is archaic in design.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Khayyam
  • Loyalties: Messala | The Primyn Group
  • Wealth: Quite rich; the Sith pay their alchemists well.
  • Notable Possessions: He owns a Dvirat Motina named Hera, has probably made at least one Weaver, and presumably owns or has access to a variety of other assorted tech associated with alchemy.
  • Skills: Khayyam is only good at one thing, but he is very, very, very good at that one thing. And what is that one thing, you may ask? Alchemy. Sweet, sweet alchemy. Prohibited by the Jedi, abused by the Sith, alchemy is an art form of which Khayyam is one of the few truly great masters. Sithspawn? Psh, easy. Imbuement? Piece of cake. Summoning a demon and binding it to your lightsaber crystal? Bit excessive, but it's not like he can't do it. It's more of a question of why.
  • Personality: Khayyam's skill in alchemy is unprecedented, and he knows it. Alas, the praise has gone to the little rodent's head. He's begun to resent the benevolent overlords who use him to mass-produce armies of Sithspawn and enchanted weaponry. If his skill is an art, shouldn't it be used for a more refined purpose than feeding the Sith war machine? This attitude is a dangerous one that threatens to cost him his position of semi-authority and respect within the Sith Empire's "scientific" community, so he keeps it mostly to himself. He has, however, confided in his old friend Messala his desire to branch out in directions yet undreamed of. Not merely unexplored - undreamed of. Do you have any inkling what that means? Of course you don't. How droll.
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Weapon of Choice: Wings
  • Combat Function: He uses them to fly away from the fighting. I mean, it's not as if he can't defend himself, he just prefers not to be bothered. It isn't because he's a coward. What could possibly give you that impression?
Strengths:
  • Seven Senses: As a Chadra-Fan, Khayyam has seven senses rather than five. The two extra are infrared sight and chemoreceptive smell.
  • Batman: Chadra-Fan have an incredibly fast metabolism and generally only sleep for two hour naps during the day. Khayyam is no different. When he isn't eating or napping, he is working, working, working.
  • Alchemist: Khayyam is a master of alchemy with many resources at his disposal, including connections to other alchemists who can assist him in his work. He's even used alchemy to create alchemists, specifically the Weavers (though he didn't invent the concept, of course).
  • Greased Lightning: Khayyam is known for being very punctual in fulfilling a request. He churns out content at an astonishing rate, sometimes even earlier than expected.
  • Tolerant: Khayyam typically doesn't discriminate in the company he keeps, being a very easygoing and forgiving individual.
Weaknesses:
  • Short Lifespan: Due to their unique metabolism, Chadra-Fan rarely live past the age of forty. Khayyam is getting up in age and likely doesn't have much longer to live.
  • Impatient: Khayyam has the tendency to rush things, and as a result the quality of his work is not always guaranteed. Urging him to be patient and diligent will only annoy him.
  • Scientist, Not a Warrior: Khayyam isn't completely defenseless, but he does have a pacifistic streak that stands out as unusual among the Sith. He will avoid fighting at any cost, including trying to talk an opponent down before engaging them.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Khayyam rose to prominence over a decade ago, becoming renowned as a distinguished pioneer in the field of Sith alchemy, although he's always been something of a snob about his own (highly overrated) capabilities. He joined the Primyn Group as a means to an end, and through them met and befriended Messala. That said, Messala scares the hell out of Khayyam; their friendship is a tenuous one motivated primarily by their shared interests, but their morals and goals are almost completely different. They are at least willing to do business with one another.

Most recently, Khayyam created a Sith Doppelganger at Messala's request. He is currently working at Test Site Verdant Pasture.
