TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Sword
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Light
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Deflects blasterfire
  • Can ground lightning
STRENGTHS
  • Alchemized Metal: Given the alchemical process that the sword undergoes, it is bestowed a couple properties unique to Sith Swords. Blaster bolt deflection, the ability to ground lightning, and a general strengthening of the sword itself as well as the deadly cutting edge being chief among them.
  • Lightweight: The alchemized strengthening of the blade allows for the sword to be kept fairly thin and light, making it easy to wield and yet durable enough to hold up through hours of combat. While meant to be used with a single hand, the handle is shaped and long enough to allow for powerful two-handed strikes.
WEAKNESSES
  • Blinded by the Light: With the vast majority of the sword being alchemized in some way, powers such as Force Light or other large concentrations of Light Side power can easily shatter the swords.
  • Born in the Dark: While not absolutely drenched in the Dark Side like many other Sith Swords may be, given how relatively weak the Karza Asmenys is, it is still easily sensed by most capable Force Users.
  • Quantity over Quality: Despite being a Sith Sword, the ability to block lightsaber blades is not one that the Karza Asmenys possesses given its simple alloy composition. No rare metals or substances are included in the construction in order to make them easy to manufacture.
DESCRIPTION
With the need for arming and equipping a growing army, in a manner deemed properly Sith anyway, Alisteri Haxim and his artisans and craftworkers within the Dark Wonosa Cult set putting their new mined and refined resources from the Formos Industrial Coalition to good use. Amidst other various projects and fabrications, the need for standardization among the armaments of the Legion of Kerstas was seen as one of the most important projects.

While manufacturing blasters, in any large numbers anyway, was still out of the capabilities of the cult, establishing a proper melee sidearm was very much a necessary component of standardization. As such, after some experimentation with different sword types and styles, the first Karza Asmenys was forged and put into service. Given the availability of Durasteel to the cult's small yet growing production sector, the sword could be produced on a fairly quick and streamlined basis even with the limited capabilities and experience of the cult's workers. As such the weapons became available to the wider Sith Order as well.
