DESCRIPTION

The Kanollic II Class Star Destroyer was developed as part of the new modernization efforts occuring within the empire. The Imperial High Command was concerned that the empire would begin to be left behind by the other galactic factions in terms of the starship race. The New Class of Vessel being put into service was named after the previous COMPNOR Commissioner Kanollic II Vethres who proudly served the empire until his assassination by the Galactic Alliance. Combining the aspects of the Venator-Class Star Destroyer utilized by the Ancient Galactic Republic and the Aging New Imperial I Star Destroyer put into service by the New Imperial Order before the eventual transition into the Present Empire. The Kanollic II has a heavier focus on starfighter support and direct firepower than defensive capacity which means it is unfortunately vulnerable to concentrated firepower by an enemy fleet.
