Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths:
- The phrik and obsidian casing makes the hilts extremely durable to the point where they can even absorb a limited number of lightsaber blows.
- The Qixoni crystals create powerful blades and enhances the Force abilities of the one who uses them.
- The Bifurcating Cyclical-Ignition Pulse allows the sabers to operate even when underwater.
- The redundant insulated loop lets the saber recovers more quickly from the effect of cortosis and gives it a limited resistance to ion and EMP effects.
Weaknesses:
- When struck where the two hilts are joined as a saberstaff, they will easily separate.
- The triple redundant insulated does reduce the impact of cortosis and EMP and ion weapons, but far from nullifies it. Striking cortosis will still short out the blade for some time and EMP/ion weapons still affect it with a powerful hit able to cause damage.
- This pair of lightsabers stand no chance against slugthrowers. The blades provide no protection against their fire.
Description
After tracking down a Sith tomb on the planet of Tash-Taral and delving through it, Kaalia was able to recover a number of valuable artifacts. Among them were a pair of Qixoni crystals, a rare but powerful kind, said to not only create a powerful lightsaber blade but also enhance the Force abilities of those who wield a weapon containing one. Deciding that they should not be wasted, she commissioned some of the finest materials and lightsaber components, and used her knowledge on the construction of lightsabers she had amassed many years ago to build these twin blades.
The hilts have a simple yet elegant design with a focus on subtlety, a natural evolution from her very first creation. With Qixoni crystal at the heart of the lightsabers the blades are a dark red color.
Within the hilts themselves, sophisticated technology can be found. The circuitry is made into a triple redundant insulated loop, making them more resistant against cortosis, EMP weaponry, and ion weaponry. The bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse allows them to function underwater. They also feature a dual-phase setting, allowing the user to change the length of the blades. Lastly the two hilts are able to be combined into one, creating a saberstaff.
