LOA Just So Drained

I know I asked before if the board feels stale and everyone seemed divided on that, so it got me thinking that maybe it’s me who feels stale.

I’ve been getting really into other hobbies. I’ve been publishing short stories and learning how to draw. Recently I’ve started making comics. All of these creative outlets are just speaking to me right now in a way that roleplay isn’t.

I think I need to take a break and pursue my other hobbies until that fire to write comes back.

I know I’m in a few stories that are enjoyable and I hope you guys are willing to wait a little to let me breathe. Right now I’m just trying to force it and that makes it not fun. This is supposed to be fun so I just want to take a break until it is once again. I always end up coming back too quickly because I feel guilty about leaving others hanging. I just think I’m burnt out and I hope you understand.

Breaks are very important, and much needed! If you are feeling this way, then certainly listen to it. Don't let guilt or the thought that others are waiting on you, stop you from taking a breath and enjoying life outside of RP. People on here understand and can and will wait. I hope you are able to rejuvenate yourself and pursue your other hobbies that have your interest! Capitalize on that while you can!

It wasn't in your head. The board is stale at the moment. When this website becomes boring then the writing and keeping up with threads becomes a chore. A second job. You are also probably right in that you aren't enjoying writing anyway. I've seen you post a lot of LOAs and you end up coming back after a week or two. A long, extended break doing something else will probably help your battery recharge. A sense of FOMO keeps a lot of people here, when they should probably take a break, but Chaos will still be here in a few months, or a year. It isn't going to go away, and besides, we have Discord to keep up with everyone now. Enjoy your break x
