SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Reflection Field: A shock-wave force causes the comet to repulse from impact.

STRENGTHS
  • Super-positional Levitation: The Comet when activated uses a high powered electromagnet and laser super-cooled ultrachrome to engage the Meissner effect creating its own quantum vortex, effectively pinning the body of the comet in space at any height. In this state, natural forces on the outside interact with the object as though it has no mass. In conjunction with its shield generator this allows it to ignore or greatly reduce or slow the effects of gravity, friction and other external forces which would alter its course or slow its inertia. All while the Comet is able to act upon external forces as if it has mass, allowing it to make contact with objects as if it were a one kilogram metal sphere.
  • Bouncing Bullet: Thanks to its quantum state, when the Comet makes impact with a surface, it simply rebounds, loosing none of its inertia and simply deflecting at exactly the same speed it had before the impact. As it acts on other objects as if it has mass, this can cause catastrophic damage depending on its speed to wide areas, especially if indoors.
  • Impact Ripple: While the Comet may not often penetrate a target, the force of something deflecting off of its surface at that force will create a ripple effect in most solid substances Causing extreme knock back. The vibrations in this ripple can be strong enough to shatter or twist armour, sending even a heavy armoured person several meters back. At its highest speeds one of these orbs could flip speeders or dent tank plating.
  • Thermal Hardened: With an ultrachrome core kept at extremely low temperatures and moving and spinning at extreme speeds, these balls are able to penetrate through most thermal blasters or clash with light-saber blades freely and remain relatively undamaged.
  • Magnetic Recall: As the superconductors are repelled by magnetic fields, creating a zone in which there are no ambient fields creates a path of least resistance, effectively pushing the Comet into that zone at rapid speeds. This way, the user can always reset the bounce and call the orb back, at potentially colossal distances as long as they're within an ambient magnetic field, such as those given off by being on a planet.
WEAKNESSES
  • Surface Pressure: Despite the potentially colossal damage the ball is able to do to a surface, it has almost no penetrative ability, anything that is capable of forming a solid surface enough to carry surface tension, be it a block of wood or inch thick plate of iron, the comet will bounce off of it.
  • Magnetic Push: While outside forces may ignore its mass, magnetism is one that seems to still have some effect, A superconductor under the Meissner effect will always attempt to repel a magnetic field, if the field is strong enough to penetrate the slight shielding of the
  • EM-Prone: An EMP of almost any strength is capable of removing the shield which protects the sphere from several forces, such as friction and magnetism, causing it to become far less accurate.
  • Slim Shell: While not fragile, without the shock-wave generator protecting the comet, severe impacts at high speeds are going to damage and ultimately destroy the weapon after repeated hits, especially at higher speeds.
DESCRIPTION

Created in a warehouse with some basic tools then later refined with technology stolen from the ascendancy when they first landed on the planet of Verun, Juno found these weapons instrumental in many of her conquests especially with her ability to chart the path of these devastating orbs for up to 20 bounces in a small confined area. However, the path to create these rapid bouncing balls of death and destruction wasn't always easy.

For all intents and purposes the Bouncing Bullet would ordinarily be shot from a sling or some other weapon to give it more momentum, however, in the hands of Juno its a simple thrown weapon, much like throwing a rock at a persons head. However, unlike a rock, she wanted these spheres to be made of steel. Unfortunately for Juno and her weak noodle arms, steel is rather heavy, making it difficult to throw accurately over long distances, so, she was going to need something that flew faster.

Inspired by repulsor-lift technology, but annoyed when she learned that they don't operate in space, Juno decided to work with something she remembered from an old science project. Grabbing a handful of ultrachrome stolen from a wealthy lords speeder plating, a high powered electromagnetic material and a micro cooling laser she instrumented a means to create a portable Meissner effect, Quantum locking an item on an invisible magnetic shelf hanging in space eerily. A fun toy, but like moving an object in zero gravity it didn't deviate its course.

Simply fitting it with a light shield to dampen other forces such as friction and magnetism and linking sonic shockwave generator to the shield to make it volitile, she had a ball which on its first contact accelerated instantly to weaponized speeds of 160mp/s, would not change direction short of large interference or running out of power and she could throw at almost any speed and it would always retain that momentum. ​
