Poor Little Rich Girl.
Not exactly the most sympathetic story in the Galaxy, is it? "Oh being a rich brat was too hard, I just had to run away, oh woe is me." And... well, yeah, you'd be right. But behind every smart comment there's a story.
Juniper Jett used to be called something else. Something else that you ain't ever gonna know unless you're marrying her or she's on her deathbed. Juniper was the precious, sweet daughter of a very well-off family, somewhere near the Core of the Galaxy. And yeah, the credits flowed and she got the best of everything growing up. All the best tutoring and teachers. All the nicest, newest clothes. All the latest technology.
Except... Juniper was never what her parents wanted. She was quite put off by dancing and all that. She disliked shopping trips and being waited on. She showed a worrying interest in mathematics and mechanics. All completely inappropriate for a young woman in her position. Especially since her uncle let her mess around with an old starship of his. Coming back home, covering in grease and oil with a bag full of parts? Endless packages of wiring, ship repair tools and navigation circuitry being delivered to the family home? Missing a ball because she had a breakthrough with the hyperdrive coupling?!
It was not on.
Plans were made to marry her off. She wasn't involved in those plans, lest she ruin them by 'speaking her mind' or 'being disconcertingly independent.' Her family couldn't keep it a secret for long though. When she discovered, there was a very loud argument with an incredible amount of swearing. Most of it from her. When she found out who she was meant to marry, she asked for time to think it over.
That night, she took her gifted starship and left her homeworld, never to return.
Now? She wanders the Galaxy, plying her trade as an independent starship captain. No rules but the ones she makes herself (and... well, y'know, the law) and working small jobs to earn enough to stay alive. Much less comfortable? Yes. Far more fun and fulfilling? Also yes.
There's a whole Galaxy out there to explore and discover. And every part of it is far, far away from her family.

Juniper is a slight, slender young woman with pale skin and dark hair. She has pale, blue eyes that are usually flecked with irritation. She wears her hair loose usually, thinking it's better to hide her features from a passing glance. She tends to dress plainly to suit her new position in life, though she still has a couple of outfits stashed away from her old world. Namely if she has to make a good impression somewhere fancy. Her 'normal' clothes tend to be marked or stained with oil, coolant and fluid from constant repairs.

Strengths and Weaknesses
+ Mechanically Minded - Juniper has always been good with machines. Her passion is working with anything mechanical or robotic. The starship she flies was repaired with her own hands... as well as a bunch of expensive parts charged to her family account. But she knew what to do and how to do it. She's constantly thinking of how to fix things, improve things, retrofit new features onto it...
+ Adaptable - Quick-thinking and practical, Juniper is flexible and ready to change to meet the needs of the job. Transporting a passenger across the Galaxy? Sure thing, hope you like a cosy room though. Taking some cargo to another sector secretly? Sure thing, not gonna ask what's in there, just shove it in the compartment here. Attacked by wild beasts? Why not? Just blast them outta the skies.
+ Decent Shot - The one rich girl thing Juniper was very good at? Shooting. Her dad liked to shoot. Her brothers liked to shoot. Her uncle loved to shoot. Juniper? Well, she outshot them all, after a while. She's got a good aim and a quick trigger-finger, though she isn't quite as used to all these ramshackle, common-ground blasters, compared to the elegant, sporting devices she used in her youth.
- Easy to Read - Juniper was never good at hiding her emotions. Her face is easier to read than a baby's first Aurebesh book. Completely incapable of keeping annoyance, happiness or malaise out of her voice, if she's feeling it.
- Poor Up-Close Fighter - Juniper has a punch like a piece of paper. She's more likely to bruise her hand than bruise anyone else. Being so slender (i.e, scrawny, skinny, not up for much of a fight) she could be really tossed around in a proper, straight up fight. That's why she tries to avoid them.
- Hand to Mouth - Even after a few months of living as a independent starship pilot, she's still living a hardscrabble existence getting dead-end work that pays poorly. Trying to build up her reputation and credit supplies would help.
- Wanted by her Family - That rich family? Yeah, they weren't exactly impressed when their daughter disappeared. They tracked her across a few sectors, before Juniper got wise and switched out the transponder from her ship. Now? Well, they're still looking. She's heard that there might even be a bounty out there for her, under her old name. They've got a wedding to plan, after all. Whether she likes it or not.

All Alone in the Night - Juniper is contracted to help a creepy fellow get revenge on a convict whose shuttle crash-landed on Spider-people planet.
