- Aerial: Jumpmaster Armor derives its name from the fact that the armor is supposed to be used in tandem with a Jetpack.
- Variety: Jumpmaster Armor can be used with nearly any model of Jetpack, regardless of make or manufacturer.
- Modified: Jumpmaster Armor is essentially modified Scout Trooper Armor, which helps to cut down on production time and costs.
- Storage: Jumpmaster Armor comes equipped with a number of storage pouches for holding various kinds of weapons and equipment.
- Relatively lightweight: As it is based on Scout Trooper Armor, Jumpmaster Armor is relatively lightweight to wear, especially when it is worn separately from its Jetpack.
- Emergency weapon: All Jumpmaster Armor comes equipped with a boot holster, ensuring that the user always has access to a weapon.
- Textile: Jumpmaster Armor is issued with a textile scarf and hood, which helps to combat cold temperatures during high altitude flight.
- Aerial: The use of a Jetpack with Jumpmaster Armor brings a host of disadvantages with it, such as increased weight and higher risk of an operational accident.
- Lightly armored: Jumpmaster Armor is rather fragile and cannot stand up to sustained damage for long.
- Coverage: The actual armored components of Jumpmaster Armor offer poor coverage on the body.
- Heavy: Jumpmaster Armor is far more heavy to wear when equipped with a Jetpack.
- Human only: Jumpmaster Armor is not compatible with most other species of alien.
- No parachute: Should the user's Jetpack fail during flight, there is no way to stop or slow their inevitable descent.
- High altitude: User's of Jumpmaster Armor must be aware of their altitude at all times, as the armor only offers moderate resistance to cold and no backup oxygen.
The use of Jetpacks is relatively scarce within the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, and for good reason, as Jetpacks can be rather dangerous pieces of equipment. In addition to the fact that carrying a Jetpack is akin to carrying a live fuel cell on your back, their is essentially no way to stop someone from hurtling downwards to their death should the Jetpack fail or malfunction.
That being said, the Imperial Remnant does understand the tactical advantages of using Jetpacks, and as such as developed a set of armor to go with the use of such equipment. Jumpmaster Armor is essentially modified Scout Trooper Armor that can be used in tandem with most models of Jetpacks. The armor is lightweight, comes equipped with a variety of different storage options, and offers moderate resistance toward cold temperatures encountered when operating at high altitude.
Of course, the armor is, much like Scout Trooper Armor, relatively fragile and unable to withstand sustained damage or heavy fire. The armor also does not come equipped with any sort of oxygen tanks, meaning that its user must take care not to fly to far up into the atmosphere, lest they risk passing out from lack of oxygen, and by extension, certain death.
