Dominion Jewel of the Empire | EE Dominion of Zakuul

Death before dishonour!

Zakuul; the center of the original Eternal Empire, created at that time by Valkorion, or Vitiate, the old Sith Emperor, to destroy the entire Galaxy from here. Zakuul, the beautiful city that has survived the past millennia and is still able to shine in its old light. Recent years, however, have left no rest for this place, which was far from everything in the Unknown Region.

Not so long ago, NPC Treasury NPC Treasury re-established the Eternal Empire here, but what the militaristic Emperor of the Eternal Empire, Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe , could not leave without a word. He joined forces with the First Order and subjugated the planet. The government and leaders were executed and Kay was stripped of the throne. It's been a few years. And since then, Zakuul has not really belonged to anyone, he has been independent.

Governments on the planet came and went, trying to hold together the economy, their wealth, their stability, which was nowhere near as easy, especially so far away from it all. Since that attack, the current Empress of the Eternal Empire, Ingrid L’lerim, has supported orphanages, war invalids, orphans, gaining more influence on the planet and many supporters. However, Kay and the Arenais house also have supporters here. Thus, when the point was reached whether the planet would join the Eternal Empire or remain independent, the two sides clashed.

It was a great opportunity for the underworld to crumble as well, so now was an opportunity to get rid of them for whoever wants to, not to mention that the planet was a great place for smugglers and companies had a great place because of the advanced industry and infrastructure. For the Loyalists, this place would be the jewel of the Empire, so it is no wonder that the rebels do their best to keep Zakuul from falling into the hands of the Eternal Empire.

Objectives

Objective 1: Diplomatic Efforts
HRzUz5u.png
The fight for control of the planet is taking place in two places at the moment. The leaders of the Eternal Empire, from all sides, have come to the planet to negotiate to try to convince the locals why Zakuul should join them. As well as other business opportunities, it was now possible to chat and do business. However, there was something the Loyalists and their friends didn’t know about, as did the Eclipse Rebellion.

The locals also invited Eclipse Rebellion, but neither party was told that the other had been invited, so both sides only found out about it in the courtroom. As a result, the whole thing seemed like a very interesting trial, as the parties couldn’t really attack each other because it would have worsened their own chances.

Objective 2: Chaos in the City
kEozePv.png
As long as the two sides faced each other in the political and diplomatic arena in the upper city, this could not be said of the lower city. Where an armed conflict developed between locals and outsiders. The locals on Kay’s side, who supported the rebels and the local underworld fought with them, wanted at all costs to prevent the Eternal Empire and their allies from acquiring the planet.

On the other hand, the Loyalists, along with the Black Sun and the people of the Zweihander Union, sought to quell the rebellion and strengthen their own position on the planet so that the subsequent takeover would be completely smooth. The streets and surroundings were ruled by chaos because of the warring parties.

Objective 3: BYOO

Bring your own objective, whatever you want. The point is to have fun.

Zakuul; the woman came here for a long time and supported orphanages, hospitals, the disabled. Because she was almost always frosty and cold, very few knew she wanted a family and children more than anything. But not the reasons; most wrote at the expense of the fact that this is common in her culture. But that wasn’t true, she wanted it more than anything because she had once lost her first child, almost fourteen years ago, by the time the doctor got there to help it was too late. Like Cal Osborn, she never recovered from that. It’s another matter that they knew this even less than what her biggest dream was.

But that wasn't important now. She was here with the Eternal Empire delegation and hopefully Aren D'Shade Aren D'Shade to discuss Zakuul joining the Eternal Empire. This planet was really prestigious, not to mention that the STRATCOM decided that as soon as they acquired the planet, they would keep Ingrid’s coronation afterwards. Which also meant one with her wedding with AMCO AMCO . In doing so, they effectively seal the TSE-EE peace treaty. After all, only the wedding was missing from it, all its other points had already taken effect.

Upon arrival, she and everyone else were escorted to a larger meeting room. Here she had to face a huge surprise, which was none other than that the Eclipse Rebellion was here as well. The local organizers didn’t steal themselves into the woman’s heart when the delegation was made aware that since Kay still has so many supporters, they had to do so. But now the two sides have the opportunity to discuss things and reach a decision under a normal dialogue.

Ingrid hadn't spoken yet, wondering what the rebels would say as they tried to defile the Empire again. She already knew exactly what she was going to say, but she did not have to speak yet, the red-haired woman had patience.

Objective: 1

Lori sat quietly, unable to hide the shock on her face at seeing Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim walk into this meeting. She glanced over at Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin , whom had come with her for this. It was supposed to be in regards to the death of her Mom, their former Empress, and what future there would be for Zakuul giving the rising political parties that were starting to edge on their borders. But Lori wasn't well schooled in politics. She didn't take after her Mom in that regard, although she was supposed to.

Before Tacitus had slaughtered the government and captured her Mom, Lori was chosen as the heir should anything happen to her. But with the government killed off, Lori didn't think that the monarchy had remained, much like with Commenor. However she still had some of her belongings here, as well as some of her Mom's up in their rooms. Lori had visited them, so she had seen with her own eyes that everything was in tact and still there.

But now with the Eternal Empire here, things had taken a very serious turn....

Curtis sat beside Lori, his body noticeably more tense than other members of the party. He was never good at diplomacy, although he had never truly been in a situation where he could be diplomatic. Often, he found himself fighting rather than questioning, and for a long time that had been enough for him. But now, he understood that death and destruction could only get you so far, and that he'd have to adapt to the new way of things quickly or be left behind.

When Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim walked in, his face turned sour. It was the first time he'd seen her in person, but he knew enough about the Empress already. She'd been the one to order his replacement, and since then he'd been hoping to meet her. He restrained himself from approaching, it would do no good for him to make a scene so early on. Instead, he leaned into Lori and whispered to her.

"Well, so much for this being easy"

Rebels. The woman wasn't surprised it was Loreena who showed up again, as she was still acting in the role of "Face of the Rebellion" at the time. She didn’t really expect any of the rebels to take up their face, they were too cowardly for that. Or they just feared their families, for a reason. Ingrid had no plans to kill the families yet, only to execute the rebels. Maybe she “told” she’ll do it, but she had other options. Didn’t want to go so far as to kill the innocent, though many said she should have done it. There were better methods such as brainwashing and conditioning. This is more effective and more deterrent to others. Of course, if it didn't work she could still issue the execution order. Ingrid watched the arrivals, here was Arenais and her dog.

”Welcome back Chameleon, I'm glad you're finally near the Empire again. His or her reports in recent months have proved very useful. And thank you, Miss Arenais, for bringing my agent home! It’s already time for you to get another assignment before you get too bored and comfortable with you. Engagement? Seriously?”

She said it, as always, completely emotionless. Probably if anyone else had spoken, the whole thing would have been full of mockery, but not from her. The Empire had quite a few other things to do, so it would have preferred to deal with anything else than the rebels. Before she became a regent or an empress, the question of the Rebels did not seem so important and annoying. But since all such cases run straight to her and solutions are expected of her, it would have been best if the rebels had not existed. But so far there was nothing to do, the most important thing was to get this planet, preferably without violence.

”Can you tell me why you are here, Miss Arenais? You have an arrest warrant on all the planets of the Empire, and also on those who wish to join us; you broke our agreement. * However, for the sake of our hosts and their kindness, I still refrain from arresting you.”

* In the private game, Ingrid wants to let Lori, Caedyn and Kyra go at the end of the thread so they can never come back again. If they do, they will be executed without trial and anything like that.

With the bond between the Sith and Eternal Empires it was easy for a young Sith to tag along the Eternal's bid to reclaim their home world. But she wasn't there to help them. Alina had no use being there to help with diplomacy, or even enough skill to be of use fighting the rebels. More importantly though, there was something in the swamps she wanted to claim. Or, reclaim, as it were.

A holocron was rumored to be buried somewhere in the Marshlands, where 'Darkness brings the brightest light.' That was the only clue she could find in her reading. Usually she wouldn't care to try and find such a thing. She couldn't use the Force like others, her connection was far too disruptive, but this holocron had more information on just what kind of connection she did have. And, perhaps, a way for her to be able to stand among her fellow Acolytes as more than a punching bag for their enemies.

Her shuttle landed on one of the few solid pieces of land. She'd have quite the trek ahead. With a sigh she shouldered the oxygen tank she'd brought with her. While she hoped she wouldn't need to dive into the marshy waters, she couldn't help but feel she probably would. "Right. Let's get this done."

Red walked close behind Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim as they were lead through the palace. He wore his combat armor, with his helmet held under his left arm. Red was visibly heavily armed, which would be a deterrent to anybody wishing to get aggressive during the negotiations. His red hair stood out in the palace, but next to Empress L'lerim his usually bizarre hair color seemed almost normal. As they made their way through the palace, Red kept note of their path, and was making a mental map of the place.

It seemed strange to have Red, a super soldier, at a diplomatic meeting. He was used to fighting on the front lines, and infiltrating some place in a high-risk mission, not diplomatic negotiating. However, since the Zweihander Union was now apart of the Eternal Empire, and Red was a fairly high-ranking member there, today he was here to represent the Union. He might have preferred to fight on the front, but he understood the importance of the meetings.

They were lead to a large meeting room, and when the door opened... They were in for a shock. Sitting there were members of the Eclipse Rebellion, including none other than Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun . Red's hand right hand rested on his holstered blaster pistol, ready for a fight if one broke out.

Red had known that their paths would cross again, and when they did, they wouldn't be under friendly circumstances, but as enemies. And now, here she was, sitting there. Last Red had heard of her, she had been captured by a droid that was an agent of the Empire, and that she had escaped. No doubt she was as shocked to see Red as he was to see her.

The Empress spoke first, addressing the Rebels, but mainly Loreena and her companion. Red let her speak, letting the most qualified of them all speak first, before anything got out of hand. He listened to the Empress as she spoke, her words were cold, calculating, emotionless. He expected it from the Empress, but still, her way with words was impressive, as she got right to the point without being blunt.

”However, for the sake of our hosts and their kindness, I still refrain from arresting you.”

Red didn't like this. Why was the Empress allowing the Rebels to make an argument? He knew how dangerous they could be to their operation with their idealism. As much as he respected the Empress, he didn't like this decision she made. Letting the Rebels even have a chance to swade the locals could jeopardize their entire operation. He didn't like the decision, but he decided to follow the Empress' decision. It wouldn't look good to the locals if L'lerim's subjects were insubordinate.

Red stepped into the room, standing next to the Empress, his right hand still on his holstered blaster pistol, and his helmet under his left arm. "Hello again, Loreena. Long time no see. I hope we can... settle this matter peacefully? For the benefit of everyone here." Red said to her. Despite the Rebels being vastly outmatched, Red knew how crafty they could be. The Empire should easily win in a fight against the Rebels, but somehow they somehow managed to survive for so long.

Red turned to the Empress, keeping the Rebels in the corner of his vision. "Shall we take our seats, Empress?" He asked her. He didn't need to ask her, but showing to the locals that even someone as heavily armed and strong as Red was loyal to her could drift the locals to their side, as they would see just how powerful she was. He expected that L'lerim could see what he was trying to do, but still, he had to hope that she did.

If they played this right, they could come out of this on top.

Lori nodded a little to the whispered remark by Curtis Learchin Curtis Learchin . This was not going to be easy at all. She slipped her hand into his as she watched Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim , doing a double-take at her words. "He is not your agent. Your agent disappeared!" She wasn't so sure if Kessia Miran Kessia Miran had died or what. But she did disappear. And as for how Ingrid knew of her engagement was beyond her. Lori had only told her brother. More than likely her ship was bugged...Or it could be as simple as the small, silver engagement band on her finger.

As for what she was doing here, Lori kept her chin up, glancing at the Zakuul deligation before looking to Ingrid. "I was invited here, under the premise of the future of Zakuul. Given the fact that my Mother was the last to rule here, I have every right to be here. And trust me, I am just as surprised at seeing you here. This is not any intentional means on my part to break any agreement."

And just as she was surprised to see Ingrid, she was also surprised to see Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red . The two were friends last that she knew. But now it appeared that he has sided with her enemy. "Hello Red. I didn't take you for being a turn coat..."

Eskk arrived in the space orbiting Zakuul. The supposed homeworld of the Eternal Empire. Eskk couldnt care less about its importance to the Eternal Empire, although he knew the empress would be here. That made for an interesting and unlikely possibility. Although he actively maintained the facade of loyalty where it benefited him to do so, running into the empress alone might be too good of an oppurtunity to pass up. Such an individual was sure to be strong in the force and feeding off her would no doubt empower Eskk.

Still, he wasnt expecting to be given that oppurtunity on this trip. Mostly Eskk was just here to take advantage of the opportunity to hunt new prey. He had never eaten a zakuulian before. Eskk wondered what their brains would taste like as he entered the atmosphere of the planet.

He watched as his ships viewport showed only fire and the automatic planetary re-entry systems took over. A few minutes later he was inside the planets atmosphere. He flew over the main city and observed it.

The dwellings were mostly simple and scattered. The most impressive building was a palace building. How uninspired, he thought to himself. For the supposed homeworld of the Eternal Empire, what should gleam like a crown jewel, this place seemed like a dump. Eskk was a little less enthused by the prospect of the hunt.

If the beings below couldnt even establish a proper city, would there even be worthy prey among them? Such was the game, sometimes a new planet would provide a bountiful harvest of delicious brains. Sometimes a new planet would provide slim pickings wherein the work to reward ratio was less than what Eskk liked. Still it was the nature of the Anzati to travel and feed. Eskk could still hope this planet would provide him with a worthy challenge.

"Remind me again," Alisteri spoke as he hefted the tank onto his back and exited the shuttle, rebreather in hand as he reluctantly stepped out into the marshland. "why are we in this awfully humid place?" Even through his mask and his clothes he could feel the wetness of this place seep into his skin.

The masked acolyte had decided to accompany his...friend? Acquaintance? Fellow Acolyte? There were several possible labels he supposed. Regardless he was now set to trudge the marshlands of Zakuul amidst the consolidation of said planet alongside Alina in search of a holocron. He had mixed feelings about being in such a wet, humid, and overall abysmally moist place.

"Don't get me wrong, I have no problems with securing an artifact of the Sith, but what is it that this one in particular contains?"

Sith yellow eyes turned to her companion with a curious glint. There was still much she didn't know about the acolyte, but thus far he hadn't given her reason to distrust him. That, and it was good to have an ally she could somewhat rely on from her own faction. She flashed a smile before nodding to his choice of clothing. Unlike him, she was in more appropriate shorts and a breathable shirt for the humidity. "You'd be better off without all those layers. It'll wear you down soon enough."

She chuckled a bit before looking out to the swamp. "Information on how to disrupt the Force. Thanks to the tomb I found on Korriban, I've learned that my ability is not to control the Force but instead to suppress and disrupt it. The holocron should have plenty for me to learn from." Alina paused for a moment, blinking. ".. I suppose that means there's not much for you, unless you're interested in that sort of power. There could be other artifacts though?" A shrug, then she started to trudge out through the swamp. If her notes were correct, they had a bit to go to find what it was they were searching for.

Eskk had just landed on the planet. It was a relatively breezy day and his grey robes flapped in the wind as he walked. He figured hed go to the palace first. It was probably the best place to start. Perhaps the Imperial military had already started compiling a list of force sensitives on the planet.

As he got near the palace his special sensory organs detected a familiar presence. Loreena Arenais-Valhoun Loreena Arenais-Valhoun was here. What a coincidence, Eskk thought to himself. He considered hunting her for a moment but his sensory organs detected another darker presence. Eskk reasoned it could only belong to the empress herself. The two presences were in relatively close proximity to eachother. Were they fighting? Was this some kind of negotiation?

There was no real fluctuation in the intensity of their presences, so whatever they were doing, they were not actively using the force.

Eskk decided to make his way towards the room where they were all gathered. He didnt plan to disturb the meeting. He just wanted to surprise Loreena as she came out. Maybe he would attack her, maybe not. Only time will tell.

As the Empress and her lacky approached, Curtis rose to his feet with a hand on Lori's shoulder. He was still her bodyguard, and these two were certainly a threat in his eyes. Especially the flaming redhead, who already had his hand on his weapon. It may have only been a defensive measure, but he was not taking any chances.

"I don't believe we've been properly introduced" Curtis said sternly, his voice directed at Ingrid, "Curtis Learchin, but you already know that" With a sarcastic smile he offered a hand to her, turning his head to Red. "And you... are you her guard dog? Or just a lost puppy?"

Whether or not he was behaving properly for such an event was beyond him, but he couldn't care less.

That is, the official. Given that, not many people knew they already had their wedding. A wedding they both wanted, all about them, with a small circle of family and friends. So they were actually married and Adrian was also considered a prince-consort. All they had to do was wait for Zakuul to be theirs and get the official “robe” for the whole event. Another wedding for the Galaxy while they were past such an event.

Now the others who were here with the woman finally spoke, so at least she didn't just have to talk. She glanced at Red as the man asked the question. Yes, it really was time to sit down, and she did. The Empress deliberately let the rebels speak. She mainly financially supported hospitals and orphanages on this planet, so she was definitely present in a positive light. Ingrid didn't want to destroy this so that they might be at a disadvantage because of it. And last but not least, they were in a better position.

”Are you really that sure?” she asked. ”She was an empress deprived of the throne by Darth Tacitus and the First Order. If all this had really been so important to the locals, they would call you here after the collapse of the First Order. I also assume this is here just to be able to call your people back in town before they start causing chaos. I guess you don’t want to do it and you want bloodshed for which you can blame the Empire afterwards. As always…”

Meanwhile, she also listened to Red and Loreena's words, they had a common past. But in the meantime, even the bodyguard, or now the fiancé, spoke. Knowing that quite unmannerly, Kessia sent great testimonials about it and got it from the agents as well. And of course Chameleon wasn't dead, she was still somewhere in town now and just doing her job. Ingrid finally looked at the man.

”It’s always great for an agent to stick to its job until the last minute.” she said in her cold voice.

Red first turned his attention to Loreena, who accused him of being a turncoat. Funny, seeing as how she's on the side of turncoats of Rebels. Red might be a Jedi, and he might have similar morals to Loreena, but they were on opposite sides of the battlefield now, for the sore reason that she was a Rebel, and that he was loyal to the opposite side.

"Turncoat? Ouch, that hurts, Loreena," He said, clearly being sarcastic.

"I'm sorry, but which one of us is trying to turn everyone against a legitimate government? Exactly." He told her.

Then, he turned to her body guard/fiancé, as the Empress has called him. Curtis Learchin... Red had seen his file. He intrigued Red. The man seemed like a good fighter. Red could see the calculating process happening in his eyes, the man was planning. Red could tell that the man was analyzing the two threats in the room, Red and Ingrid, and was mentally preparing in case a fight broke out. This man... he would be a skilled opponent to fight against.

"And you... are you her guard dog? Or just a lost puppy?"

"Guard dog? Please, I'm just here as a representative. Empress L'lerim can handle herself just fine." He replied.

"I don't believe we have been introduced, however. As Loreena has said, I'm Red. I'm an... old friend of the Arenais'. I've met a lot of them, me and Loreena have even interacted in the past. I believe I saw you" Red said to the man.

Red sat down, next to Ingrid, and set his helmet on the table. Then, Ingrid started talking to the Rebels.

As always…”

"Now, now, let's all just calm down," The representative for the local government said, sitting down. The representative was a small, sharply dressed man, with stress lines across face, showing the tension that his job had put on the man.

"Hold on, representative, what the Empress says is true." Red told him. "Loreena and her 'Rebels are nothing more than cowards, weaklings that shrivel and hide behind a liar and a coward. But... what can you expect from an Arenais..." He said. For a Jedi, his voice was surprisingly full of vile and disdain, but Red had never been like any of the other Jedi. "Her mother, Kay Arenais, was the same way: a failure. How many times had she been in power, and lost the trust of her people? Many times, I assure you. She failed to protect those she loved, and those that were under her protection. Do you know why? Because she was weak, cowardly, and was only interested in herself! She failed her husband, she wasn't strong enough to save him, and he died. She betrayed her people, and her subjects, and they got rid of her countless times. The Arenais' cause nothing but trouble, it's in their blood to be liars and cowards." Red said to everyone, his voice aggressive and attacking.

"And we have proof of Loreena's misdeeds." He finished on that mark, enticing the local representative.

The representative turned to Loreena. "These are... bold claims against you. Do you have anything to say before we see whatever proof will be shown?" He asked her, wanting to see what she would say.

There was the tipping point. Kahlil saw it in the corner of his eye as he walked through the streets. He wasn't sure who started it, and likely no one did, but the first stone had been cast into the water. And now it cause the water to overflow. The locals and the Eternal's soldiers were now actively fighting. Guns were being drawn. The streets would be alight within moments. The Jedi took a breath before reaching out with the Force and closed his eyes. Their guns were his target. Overwhelming pressure kept any of them from drawing or lifting, and he stepped into the clearing.

"We don't need to fight, please." He glanced to the two sides, his hands still extended. "Go home. You don't need to be here." He was speaking to the locals, who glared at him. But it was enough for them to think twice. Enough for the soldiers to go by unhindered and unaware of the fight that was about to start. Kahlil let out a sigh, his eyes open again. Close, but he couldn't stop all of this. There would be violence, and soon.

Worse, his actions would be like a beacon for anyone trying to find a force user, even with his talisman.

Eskk had been in the palace, waiting. He was still trying to decide what to do about Loreena. This meeting was taking too long and Eskk was getting bored just waiting around in the hallways.

He thought about bursting into the room lightsabers drawn, but that would look bad on the Eternal Empire and so himself. So he begrudgingly decided not to do it. Suddenly Eskk felt a surge of energy in the force. His sensory organs detected it immediately, but they could not pinpoint its location.

Interesting, Eskk thought to himself. He left the palace in search of the source of the energy. It didnt take him long, to notice what appeared to be a Jedi attempting to influence the Zakuulians not to ight the Imperial troops taking over the city. He was clearly the source of the energy, though even at such a close distance, Eskk's sensory organs could not detect them.

"Nonsense," Eskk countered the Jedi's statement in his shrill voice. "You should let them fight. Some of them will die, but it will be an honorable death. There is no death more honorable than fighting for the fate of your homeworld."

Eskk used the force to call both his lightsabers to his hands but didn't activate them. He allowed his mind to fill with hate for the Jedi and all they stood for. This way, the Jedi would surely detect his darkside energy. The hunt was on.

The acolyte glanced down at his own apparel, the same outfit that he wore literally everywhere, and shook his head. "I can withstand a little warmth for quite awhile. Besides, if we do have to get down and dirty out here it'll be you scraping dried mud off of your skin not me." He retorted, idly wincing as he almost slipped ankle-deep into said mud as he followed Alina through the swamp.

He hoped that this little venture was quick, he could already feel the sweat beginning to form on his forehead.

"You say that like rediscovering an ancient holy holocron of the Sith isn't its own reward." Alisteri wasn't really one for gaining power, he was fine with his lot in life as it was. He sought understanding far more than he would ever seek power, and helping to obtain a holocron would give him a bit of that understanding he craved. That, and when Alina had told him about her search for it he had nothing better to do other than training. "I merely lament the fact that the Sith have a habit of leaving their things in places like...this."

"They say mud is good for the skin. Swamp mud? Eh. We'll find out I imagine." Banter was nice. Real nice. She never had much of a chance to get into it with her family, and well. It'd been only her family for most of her life. Darth Strosius Darth Strosius had given her a slice of life she thought she'd never get, especially with it bein a Sith. She trudged along with no issue, wading through deep mud and swamp waters alike. The marshland was abuzz with life around them. Insects, mostly, but some fish and reptiles. Most kept their distance.

"To some it wouldn't be. You know how it is. Unless they benefit, it's not worth their time." A flaw of the Sith in her slowly opening eyes. Everything they did should be for the Empire, not for themselves. "Think of it like a nature walk. They want you to get out once and a while, y'know?"
