Faction Jedi of Hidden Waters

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Location: Celestial Jedi Temple of Secher Nbiw

"Sasori was made from my kindled ambition as a humble spark, a quiet vow to shore up the Jedi Order and heal its splintered legacy. Yet, like a star flaring into a supernova, it surged beyond my farthest dreams, weaving a cosmic tapestry with the hands of countless souls. Their breaths a chorus across the void. We labor without cease one hand reaching into the shadowed past to reclaim the Jedi's lost light, the other forging ahead, crafting visions and tools to lift existence to the edges of eternity. In this quest, I uncovered the Sea of Origin, a primal fount of the Force, its radiance untouched, its essence a pulsing hymn that thrummed through the cosmos. Sharp with the scent of ancient stone and molten starlight. Few of us touched its depths and when we did it was... cataclysmic, transcendent, a tide that scorched the senses and shattered mortal bounds. The Force's infinite energies flooded my frail form, weaving through my sinews, sparking in my veins, igniting every cell with the fire of creation. I stood at the abyss's edge, gazing into its boundless heart, and emerged perhaps too triumphant, a victor over the infinite.

My essence melted into liquid starlight with each particle trembling as the urge to dissolve, to be reborn endlessly in the cosmic forge of the Force. My skin sang with the electric pulse of nebulae, a tingling resonance that echoed distant stars. The air grew dense with the sharp bite of ozone and the ancient dust of crumbled worlds, while my vision swirled into a kaleidoscope of radiant threads and shimmering voids. This was Oneness, a fusion with the universe's beating heart. I heard the murmurs of trillions hopes, fears, dreams cascading across light-years curling like waves on a shore of eternity. My body thrummed with the slow, grinding whirl of galaxies, their motion a deep vibration in my bones, tasting of iron and time. Timelines unfurled before me choices I embraced, paths I forsook, futures flickering with the slightest breath. Some blazed with radiant hope, others loomed with shadowed menace, all boundless, all alive.

I have walked across the surface of suns their plasma seas roaring beneath my feet each step a blaze of searing heat that prickled my skin with solar fire. I have witnessed events so minute, so swift as countless micro-civilizations rising and falling on an atom's surface within a dying star's heart, a thousand thousand light-years distant that they scarcely seemed to occur, yet their fleeting pulse hummed in my soul. I tracked a single snowflake through Hoth's blinding blizzard, its crystalline form a whisper against the storm's howl. I peered into the spaces between worlds where the precepts lurk their secret tongues a sibilant melody I yearned to learn, each word tasting of enigma and eternity. These visions, vast and infinitesimal, wove into the tapestry of my being, binding me to the Force's endless song.

Yet, I tore myself from the ether's embrace, my awareness spilling into alien realms Otherspace, with its cold, metallic tang of warped reality; the Nightlands, thick with the musty scent of time forgotten. I swelled beyond measure first towering over those around me, my skin aglow with the warmth of suns, then stretching past ships, their hulls gleaming like silver in my mind's eye. Cities pulsed below, their lights beating like hearts; continents unfurled, their earthy scent rising like rain-soaked soil; planets spun, their atmospheres sharp with salt and iron. Galaxies became flecks of color, like pollen caught in my lashes, cosmic dust shimmering with each blink. Reality surged into me, a black hole of consciousness, until existence itself faltered. Stars flickered like candles in a tempest, their light fading in my gaze. Oceans stilled, their briny scent frozen. Spacetime folded like silk under my touch, moons drifted from their orbits, their stone rough against my senses, and cities collapsed into loops of time, their clamor hushed. Breath halted, rivers reversed with a gurgling rush, dreams bled into reality like fresh-spilled ink, and reality softened into dreams, velvet and fleeting.

Two voices one vibrant with life's pulse, the other a dusty echo of eons past whispered through the void, asking me to remember who you are. Peering through the singularity of my soul, I saw her: I saw the woman I was many times over. Flawed, ourr laughter a chime of starlight; fierce, resolve sharp as a vibroblade; radiant, joy warm as a hearth; afraid, pulse swift as a comet's tail. I've walked among stars, their heat prickling my skin; spoken with spirits, their voices cool as mist; bartered in celestial markets, the air rich with alien spices. I sneeze, a sound anchoring my mortality. I am a Jedi, standing against the oily, frigid tides of darkness, planting seeds on worlds forsaken by ancients, their soil gritty beneath my touch. My tears, aglow with the atomic fire of dying stars, fell across the cosmos, each drop hissing as it burned through the void. With a whisper that roared across galactic gulfs, I spoke: "I am."

Then, the impossible: I compressed. My presence, my energy, my essence folded into a singular point, a mortal shell. It felt like collapsing a supernova into a grain of sand my skin prickled, my breath caught, my heart thudded as if tethering the cosmos itself. What seemed eternities, saturated with the taste of infinity and the scent of creation's forge, was to my fellow Jedi but a heartbeat a fleeting pause after I touched the cosmic well.

There is great power in legends, in myths that pulse like stars in the galaxy's heart. Yet some truths transcend mere tales, demanding more than desire to wield them. Mastery requires skill, relics, or another's guidance, a journey stretching beyond the breaths of many lifetimes. Time is but a veil to those who fear its passing; beyond vanity, beyond patience, beyond age, there lies a thrumming current binding all existence. In this connection, I found acceptance. In this acceptance, the forbidden became fulfilled, and the impossible bloomed into reality. Seeking the ancient secrets older than stars, yet more advanced than our fleeting tools I tapped into their wisdom, a melody woven into the Force's eternal song, its notes sharp with the tang of forgotten eras and bright with the promise of what might be. I touched the primordial Force, untouched for tens of millions of years, its essence a vibrant pulse that smelled of ancient stone, tasted of molten starlight, and sang with the harmony of all that is. Sasori endures, a beacon of discovery, and I, Matsu Ike, remain"

She said it while standing there on the kyber platform. The temple was a thing of beauty. A solid mountain of kyber crystal... prismatic, pulsing with the force as a low thrum to the mind and infinitely soothing. She allowed herself to breathe in and out relaying the tale to the face in front of her. The chronicler of the academy... the one who moved it as the jedi temple on the wandering mountain itself sounded strange... mystical in some cases. Few others knew paths of it but the hidden Path was growing and learning. Valery Noble was doing good work and she had Connel there to help her. The movement of the jedi master when his voice came out... from deep within the mountain of his chest and his face moved. The ones who were assembled below listened always surprised to hear the Wandering mountain when he spoke. "It is something old, something many do not know. I have watched, I have listened, through rock and metal and time." The voice resonated from a place in his chest.. she had been in there the tunnels of the wandering mountain were massive and entire teams could walk through.

"The force, sings... it is through all." His voice came and she could always count on one thing... the massive mountain of living kyber that carried the temple was... skilled in what he did. She moved from the platform as other jedi, other padawans and masters were able to go and give him the knowledge, their memories and it would shape a record of the jedi itself. Allowing them to have a recorded history within the thoughts and memories of a jedi who would and had always been there. She moved through the massive temple as her body vibrated with force energy allowing her to move without disturbing the air. The molecules vibrating as she had her focus almost subconsciously on the atoms around herself to move and manipulate them. It allow her to channel and focus on other things before she was going through the wall of the temple into one of the chambers to listen to lessons. The Children of the Jedi were here, visiting to teach as one of their teachers spoke about the myths and power on their world of Peridea.

"It is said that there once was an ancient emperor who ruled the greatest city in the galaxy. Youthful, strong and desired by all. Considered the emperor of emperor and he gathered the greatest minds not just on Peridea but in the galaxy to him. Sages and mystics; translators and archivists, scribes and soldiers, jedi and sith, paupers and kings.
From the dark world of Korriban the first of the galactic religions. Red skinned and powerful, dangerous sith. The greatest jedi of their age who venerated the remains of their masters and the will of the force and of course the wisest of the bendu who blessed Peridea. Revealing the greatest secrets to him. The witches of the Dathomiri with their nubile forms seducing all, the zeffo who argued with the gods themselves even as the father partook of their wine. Thus his kingdom was a kingdom of great wisdom.

There were men and women from across the galaxy brought to him. From all lands of Peridea faithful and heretic. With skins white as the snow in the north, colored like the sands of the great desert worlds, as brown as mountains in the evening or yellow as sulfur smoke. Purples and pinks, black as obsidian and even covered in fur and scales. Thus his great kingdom was a capital of exotic pleasures across the galaxy beloved by all.

There were force users whose blindness allowed them to interpret the future from the world for him, alchemists from the sith with their long robes full of mysteries and secrets, force wielders who knew the secrets of gods, men and the universe and then there were poets and those of the most refined taste. Marvelous mechanical wonders that couterfeited life. Animals that spoke like men, men with faces and heads of animals. This his Kingdom was a kingdom of wonders.

Those were the days of wonder when Rashiri was a wise emperor, when he sat in judgement and his sages marveled at the sagacity of his verdicts. Under him the Kingdom of Typho prospered and blossomed.... but Rashiri was troubled in his soul.... and at these times when the darkness would descend upon his browhe would venture at night into the streets of his kingdom. Taking only with him his friend and advisor, taking only his lover and executioner. Dressed as merchants from the furthest lands they would talk for the gods did not watch the common men and women only Reshiri. THey would travel around sampling delights and wares. Rewarding those of virtue and character and entertaining themselves with the casting down of the wicked and corrupt. In this way they encountered tales even stranger then their own.

It was in this manner that he elevated a beggar to emperor for a day. So overindulgent in his greed he failed to understand the weight of his position as a blade pierced the back of his neck that had been suspended above on a thread. So was it that when one man was killed in seeking justice eight proclaimed their guilt only for it to be discovered the man had choked on a piece of fruit. And it was in Typho, empire of empire, city of cities that they bore witness to the great Extinction that cast the skies in shades of colors no one had seen since the dawn of the universe and birth of Typho.... but still the emperor was troubled.

So it came that on the day the gods willed it. He Rashiri, defender of the greatest city and empire. Stood on his balcony able to see as far as the eye can see his city. Towers of gold spread out below him. Streets lined with stalls from the market selling meats, and sweetstuffs, rare spices, anointed oils. The birds sang more sweetly from his mere presence. He could see a caravan of white and silver metal bringing more trade from the furthest corners of the galaxy here. Exotics from mena dn women, to animals and bolts of cloth. Surrounding himself with kohl eyed dancers, adorned with veils and diamonds or rubies. There were ships leaving laden with grains and spices to take and trade, he could hear the distance sound of craftsmen as they went to work or porters calling out.

This was the jewel of all empires, the city of cities..... but still he was troubled and even his empress could not sooth him.
HIs closest advisor coming to offer walking the city, seeking a young noble under enchantment or dancing girls or even madmen speaking of ghosts and monsters.... but the food would not fill and the drink would not satisfy... and so his friend left and the emperor was left on the balcony overlooking his city. Until day turned to dusk and then to night and the fires of the towers cast the city into a a reflection of the sky. Blackness with a sea of a million stars. He was joined by the palaces greatest poet. ONe of the concubines who survived being put to death with her tales of the galaxy that never seemed to end. The emperor had no time for her pretty words and only asked if there had ever been a city like his city... an empire like his empire or a people. WIth a heavy head she spoke telling the emperor no.

She spoke of how ambassadors and rulers come there from all corners of the galaxy. To see this wonder, this miracle and they return to their worlds, their people saying that they have seen the perfect city. There can be none other like it and they are then dissatisfied with their own worlds and kingdoms for they now knew that nothing would be able to compare to the jewel that was Typho, city of cities nor to its emperor. He would send her away and continue to stare down at the city. It was then the emperor took from around his neck a silver key and began descending the staris of his palace. He passed the rooms of his concubines where no man or woman save himself was permitted. Further down to the places of justice where those awaited his mercy... and still further down where those whose his mercy had forgotten faces pale and covered in hair.

Still he went further down until he came to a door of black metal that absorbed all light. Monolithic in size and he opened it with the key... and went down further. Deeper and deeper until the steps became narrow, the air hot and swirling with voices, with faces of those he had loved, those he had killed. A woman from Eshan with hair spun of silver and pale features, a child who had brought from a world a crystal flower... the captain of his guards who aside from himself was the finest with swords and bow and spear... but he paid them no mind. Going down further and further. Until he came to a door of bronze inlaid with pearls and banded with gold. He used the silver key to open it and inside he went into the dark and further down still. He closed his eyes and counted steps, half steps and turns and right in his head.

The next door was wooden and this was able to be opened with the silver key. As he entered torches flared, his eyes stung and the glittering of diamonds, rubies, crystals and a thousand other gemstones from around his empire shined. Emeralds and sapphires, amethysts and pearls were piled in heaps so large within the cavern they were perhaps uncountable. There came rooms next, one filled with countless blades forged of the force, hilts of swords that contained the light of the force, another room filled with bottles of jade and gold. Filled with the sounds of spirits who would serve their master when he released them... and another room of nothing but eggs from a million million creatures around the galaxies themself. Eggs of all shapes and sizes from ones as big as a thumb pad to ones as big as a starship or even a planet.

Made by beings that nested on mountains so large no one could scale or in places of the galaxy no one could reach. There was also two eggs down there, one white and one black. Born from the light of the daughters pet bird... the white one containing owl.. the other containing something no one knew or had seen. Rashiri passed through these chambers and rooms, his gaze not faltering from one side or the other. FOr hours it seemed he walked, for days eventually until through the cave of riches he came to a door of blue fire and this too he opened with the silver key. The blackness of the room was the first thing... and the second was the only object within it. A glass ball filled with swirling mists and a seal. The emperor took it and carried it with great care.

He took the paths through the palace that no one knew about but he himself. The ones who had drawn up the palace and made it for him all buried with it. IT wasn't healthy to know the secrets of an emperor. He went up the tallest tower of the palace. Rising up and up as the moon rose with him and he carried the glass ball in his hands. Reaching out only when he came to the top of the steps to touch the stone wall... and it would swing aside for him alone. He stepped out onto the top of the tower... looking out across the stars in the sky and the light below... like a thousand thousand fireflies of all shapes and colors. The rivers and skies were still filled with even more showing their lights as the night sky of the world rose. The emperor spoke softly as he held the glass ball in his grip.

He spoke to he who is beyond the veil... the one who oversaw all of them and commanded the will of the universe. Demanding it come to him in a form that would be neither threatening nor displeasing to his eyes.... but there was no one around save the whisper of the wind and the call of the birds in the night. With a shiver he held the glass ball threatening to open it and release the nine hundred and ninety nine thousand evil spirits that had been captured by the previous emperor to bring their world into this golden age. He would unleash them.. she would condemn all if he did not show himself. That was nearly ten thousand years before and over that time each soul had become more twisted, more evil and vowed to wreck vengeance upon all of the galaxy destroying their lives.

As he tossed the glass bal and expected it to shatter... expected the spiritrs to be release it was there suspended. THe visage of a man holding it as he demanded to know why he was being summoned as one might summon a steward. They were no steward and an emperor was as important to them as an ant. The emperor tried to equate this to a story from their mystics of a bottle being fished out of a river. Filled with one of the force beings that could grant a boon... the being looked at him and advised that he was not such a being... and to not summon that which you have no way to dismiss. The emperor debated this... asking to make a bargain as it were.. he wanted to deal with the being who reminded him the palace of the ruler was not the marketplace where such things were done.

They moved it to the marketplace... the emperor and the being whom made the ball of glass disappear into the stars. As the sun rose the city started to come to life and the stood in the marketplace. The emperor holding his hands out to the being. Proclaiming the greatness of his city and could it not be like that always. The days of wonder and marvel were upon them and it would last a thousand generations. The being after traveling through the markets... seeing stalls of slaves, meats, fruits and riches all compared. He called it remarkable and a land as the emperor would add of miracles... then asked the being to buy it from him to bargain. Not wanting to be the ruler of a mortal land... of a place of flesh and faiths... the emperor explained. It was not to rule it was because.

THe gods had seen fit to bless them... to see wonders developed and the kingdom grow. THis was the perfect age but how long would it last, how long will people remember it. Citing the odler civilizations in the galaxy that had come and gone long before. How long before they were like others in the galaxy, rocks and old walls, statues in empty forests and wastes. Then the wind comes and sweeps even that away to make way for a new age, a new kingdom. He Rashiri of the Great Galaxy spanning kingdom of Peridea would bargain it here at the height of its greatness to be taken somewhere else. Into the dreams of its people so that it would always be perfect. THe being seemed to think about it and looked at him agreeing that he could do it in a fashion... but he emperor would have to tell his people.

It was no great quest, no great spell of sorcery or a price to be paid. He had all of the riches, he had all of the servants. NO blood sacrifice, no grand gesture. His was the vision of the city, his was the one to whom the others followed and served. he would have to tell them so that they would have a chance should they wish it to go. THe emperor addressed his people form the balcony.. the entire city... told them that as long as they lived, as long as they remembered this great kingdom would never die, never perish or be forgotten. Then it was gone.. the emperor in his market place... stalls filled with the smells of food and slaves. Thousands moving around but their outfits different, muted colors. As he walked he spied a man holding a large bottle in his hands and moving around.

Inside the bottle was the most beautiful city, carved and crafted with great care. SMall in size but the detail of so much of it could not be believed. He asked if it was for sale, such an oddity would bring envy around his small palace... but he was told that it wasn't. Solemn he returned to the building with his guard and the stranger left.."

She could hear them as it brought her attention to some of the other things in the past for herself. She had not said everything.. she had not revealed all that had been there and it was the most dangerous part. She had seen something twisted was coming from areas of the force... twisting and corruption that had poured forth with the malice and danger... the hatred into an almost visceral form. She needed to investigate it while she moved. Allowing others to see her when she was inputting the information about where she was heaading to. The world itself was backwater... which was saying something and after Atrisia well she had seen a few things with the likes of Ashin there and a handful of other beings in the force. She brought a hand up when she was finished and allowed the force to shift... adjust and moved through it.

Grasping the ribbon of the unbeing as she moved towards the feeling in the force. The sense of coldness and death... rot aand decay as she slipped back out of it. THe displacement being the first thing that brought surprise to the faces of the one who was there... the next was the sounds of fighting when the jedi master moved out of the way. People were running and her senses were picking them up as there was not a lot of them left in the large city. A swarm of buzzing things moved and picked one of the people fleeing up before their body was almost melting but she could see it was being devourred by millions of tiny mouths each taking a bite. The person got into a building while flamethrowerrs were being used to ekep the creatures away. THey were moving into the building as she moved a hand over the doors and windows sealing them to stop the charrging swarm.

"Well this is not what I was expecting." She said it as she remained there and took in the sight of them.. there wasn't a lot left and most looked more like they only survived because the others were dead. The corruption could be felt in the air like a thick scent... she was able to taste the tang of it like metal or that sharp scent you got from cutting into rotten fruit. Her eyes were scanning the room but she remained there as a hand came out. Allowing the force to vibrate until it was forming a beacon and then sparked. The lightside energies creaating a force call that would be able to aalert jedi who could feel the lightside of the force. Her eyes watching it as she haad told Connel she had a plan.. or an idea but this wasn't entirely it. She had thought to just go there from the world between worlds but this was somehing much morre dangerous.

She told him that she had a plan. Whatever this plan was for was interesting, to say the least. Either way, Connel was here to assist however he could. A lot of what the Shadow had seen to this point was, to put it in Omega Squad terms “beyond his pay grade” but that was Master Ike. She was working on a plane of reality that most could not fathom, let alone imagine.

What he felt was a little bit of a threat surrounding them, but really was that true? Was it his call to react? Typho. Rashiri. The Beacon. It was almost overwhelming, but reminded him of a lot of what Father had taught him in the past. It was more a reason for Connel to work more on the training he was almost forgetting.

THe presence of Connel coming in was helpful to her and here. THe beacon was lit and hopefully others would come. As she looked out the window and through the force the swarm was moving through the streets looking for people. She breathed in and then outwards focusing the force to push itself out as a barrier to keep them away. "Be careful, there is something odd about them. Whatever you can observe." She said it while watching the swarm as it wasn't a solid mass... it was thousands... likely tens of thousands of small fist sized things going at higher speeds. She could see the damage that they were inflicting on many things around them. They were vicious but weren't aable to eat metal or stone just chip and dent it with small plinks. The jedi masters senses were going to the edge fo the town as she could feel the darrkside corruption with a small moment. "THey are coming from the forests in the southern areas of the city and many are returning there after they eat. I doubt a trrackerr would fit on one of them."

He may not have looked like he was listening to her, but Connel very much was. Those things were not going to be an easy target, and maybe she was right that conventional trackers would not work, but he had something that was not conventional. That is because it was not conventionally a tracker. He had a device that could track the unique energy signature of those little buggers. It wasn't a traditional tracker, but it could pinpoint their location with precision. Connel knew this would give them an edge, even if the targets were as elusive as she claimed.

Why? It was the crystal that went into his goggles and connected to his “Bodycam” datapad.

Pulling the device out, and pulling the crystal and slinging it at one of them, Connel let the “clip” do the work. As it sailed through the air, he hoped his aim was true, and it was. The creature that it targeted felt the “prick” and reacted momentarily, but went on a moment later as if either nothing happened, or there was nothing it could do. There would be no pain felt. Connel just smiled underneath his helmet and offered her the datapad.

Just hit the “red” button.” You’ll be able to see where it goes. The crystal is meant to hook into my goggles.

She gave a nod of her head. He was good at thinking on his feet which helped as she brought the screen up to look at it and turn it on. The streaks were dark... grey and for a moment she was worried it wasn't working. Looking at Connel for a moment to ask if there was something off when she caught it a face there and then gone. The thing was moving fast... fast enough that normal motion looked like hyperspace starlines only earthy color tones instead of blues and white. "I am glad I don't get motion sickness." She said it while watching and could see the forest more... her perception slowing it down enough to be frame by frame and it was still hard to follow and see but she could make out more. The forests going from strange to corrupted as she spoke. "We're going to be hazard equipment the few things I can see look more caustic then anything." She was checking on it while reinforcing herself in the force to move. Floating towards the edge of the city she etched into the ground runes. Mirroring it with projections to do the same and was working on a barrier that would help a little but they would have to go into the woods. "Benefit to us they aren't strong, only fast." She said it while following a small trail of entrails with her eyes scanning around. "We'll just have to remain aware and careful."

There was more to the datapad that he wasn’t bringing up just yet. The device was also, connected to the crystal, able to at least ATTEMPT to devise what the camera was seeing. Sort of like a scanner, it scoured the holonet for any image that might match, or at least come close to what the image presented was showing.

It was not perfect, but it might help in this case.

It was also a testament to his style of work and investigation. Sure, he was more than capable in the Force, but technology was also important as well, hence his gear. That was why he brought what he did. Was it excessive? Maybe, but everything served a purpose. The green button should be able to at least attempt to surmise what you are seeing?.

Why wasn’t he doing this? Connel did have slight motion sickness for this sort of thing. That is why he never sat in a video room and watched any of his or Omega Squad’s footage from operations.

She gave a nod of her head while tapping the button. A look more at the screen while it was working to identify and locate. See if they could match anything but she was on the move. Adjusting herself in the air as she wasn't floating like a walk.. she was flying above the swarm to look down upon it. Her feelings in the force coming while she followed it. Slipping between the canopy of the forest as the sounds shifted. "Setting a beacon." She put a small one down as it radiated force energies and dug itself into the tree to be anchored. She was looking at the trees were normal at first but the deeper she went into the forest the more strange it became. Gnarled roots, the leafs were going away as the branches were holding cocoons of white threading before she didn't touch it. The smells were around for the moment until she was crouching to touch the ground. The roots and dirt were dried when she looked deeper. Giving Connel a chance to catch up with her but also holding a barrier above her head. "Be careful of your foot." She said it while floating while shifting some small particles of dust to cover gossemer threads so thin they could barely be seen.

Connel wasn’t pushing in, he was simply walking, his instincts and awareness was on point as the Shadow was not going to let himself be caught off guard. The deeper he went into the forest, following Matsu overhead, the more and more “unique” the overall environment was. It was almost like they were entering a Shadowlands, like on Voss, or Kashyyyk.

Master Ike had the advantage of being able to watch from above, Connel had to work with what the Force gave him, and he worked well. So he was in full “stealth Shadow/Commando” mode. All about the silent movement, and moving behind cover as much as possible. He was well aware that Ike would be able to see him, she was working on a higher plane of reality, but when she told him to watch his step, it almost had a catastrophic effect, almost, he just stopped before moving into a cover position. What are we dealing with? You know yet?

"Not quite yet, it is a corruption, a powerful one but it isn't centralized. Usually there would be a single point of corruption and it was radiate out from there." She said it and he would get it, he had seen temples and how the darkside spread around it not just everywhere. "This though looks more like it is coming from everywhere and it is in pockets around the planet almost like." She stopped talking and thought about it while coming down and looking. She motioned with her hand towards the roots. "If the corruption was in the water it could get around the planet, the trees would absorb it and there it comes up could evaporate in the sun putting it more and more into the water cycle of the planet." She said it while she was moving through the branches and checking it all. "A theory, we would have to go down and find the source of water if there is aany here at all below.. these could have easily absorbed rain."

Alright, so we go upstream and test the water? It was a question, but really more of an acknowledgment. He did not have anywhere near a fraction of the knowledge that she did in the Force, but he had his own skills. Science was his best subject of learning as a child and he knew an easy way to see if water was corrupted, whether it be polluted, poisoned, or whatever, it didn’t matter. He had something in his mind right away.

These flashbangs on my sling, they are designed to be Force Blinding, but they are primarily blinding to the eyes, they are flashbangs. The explosion, and combination of accelerant and fuel will tinge the water if there is something to be concerned about. If not, it will simply dissipate. He hadn’t come up with an idea on how to handle it, this was probably her department, but he had the easy way to diagnose the problem.

He explained his reasoning as he reached for one of the flashbangs, his fingers brushing against the cool metal of the sling. The device was compact, designed for precision, and he knew its effects well. If the water reacted to the explosion, they would have their answer. If not, they could move on to other methods. Shall we go?

"For lack of a better sign at the moment we should." She said it with a nod of her head as she was moving and allowing Connel to follow as his grenades would come in handy. She looked around and held out a hand as she touched a tree. "I have... this branch, it may not look it but when in a pinch you can go for the eyes." She said it while moving as she allowed the force to guide her movements as going in deeper the gnarled trees seemed to twist and corrupt more... the leafs falling away to dead branches... the limbs almost making a fence above that couldn't be seen through and she moved. closer to the ground but was also ducking lower and lower.

"Hmm." She looked it over but didn't want to disturb it in case there was something listening or there... it could be like a spiders web and alert something or worse it could be a den itself and if they shook it thousands of things come crawling out. Like pelko on korriban if you disturbed some of the rocks in canyons. "Be careful about touching the branches, there are a dozen things that could be hiding in them and corrupted bugs are harder to kill then sith lords." She was saying as going deeper into the the ground changed as well.. from leafs and dirt to more gnarled roots and thorns that the jedi master was floating over. Allowing herself to get through as she observed parts of it.

She was motioning with her hands while she moved but avoided the throns that gleamed with sap like substances.

She was talking about the trees as she was moving, making some kind of walls and canopy that was meant for protection? Apparently everything here was potentially corrupted at the worst level possible, it was worse than Shadowlands. The trees seemed to respond to her movements, shifting and intertwining to form barriers and overhead cover. She explained that the corruption here was so severe that even the environment itself could turn against them. Every step had to be calculated, as the slightest misstep could trigger an irreversible chain reaction of decay.

One good thing about Special Forces training… this is in my skills set… not touching things… Silly sounding, to be sure, but he was more than okay moving through the brush without disturbing anything. The environment’s instability made it crucial to avoid any unnecessary contact. Even the trees, usually a source of stability, were unpredictable, shifting and intertwining in response to her movements. Navigating this corrupted terrain required precision and restraint, as any misstep could unleash a catastrophic chain reaction of decay.

When they finally reached the mouth of the river, he pulled a flashbang. To say you’re strong in the Force is a ridiculous understatement… all the same… you should look away for a moment. Before he would toss it into the water, she would have to acknowledge, he wouldn’t do it without that.

THe movement to the mouth of the water was slower then one might expect but Connel knew how to move without disturbing things and she could float just enough to not make a disturbance in the air. Gliding through oceans of molecules and atoms more then just the air.. it let her not disturb anything. As the water came into view and it was surrounded by rocks and trees. His flashbang was a benefit while she moved to look away when it detonated. The flash illuminating twisting forms in the brackish waters. THeir roars making bubbles come to the surface while the jedi master looked for a moment and winced. "Ohhh that might have made them angry." She saaid it but the water slowly returned to a normal color before it was sloshing and there were more things moving.. the sounds attracting the swarm once again as she could hear them now and was moving for a moment. Hands coming up to make a barrier but she moved into a place of cover. "We kicked a nest up. look for some cover."

Of course he was slower than her. Connel wasn’t floating through the air with the greatest of ease… a daring young man on a flyi*

Anyway, when he made it up and dropped the device and looked away the “thump” that could be heard was a cue to look back. The effect was more effective than he thought, the swirling, the reaction, it was something he was not really surprised by, but it was still eye opening.

Cover? Just drop behind some roots and unsling his Lightcarbine. Good to go, so where his other weapons, and his senses. Everything was on point.

She gave a nod of her head to that. He was trained so she trusted n the equipment and turning away she had a moment to look at the rest there as the forest was changing in ways... the swarm was still there. You could hear the buzzing but there was more to it.. the skittering of darker things around them. The scent of blood and more as she could see the things crawling forming... congealing together to almost make a face and body but not quite. As pieces fell to rejoin the writhing mass of it. She could see more forrming while herr hand came out and sent a waveform through the force in a directed cone. To hit the ground but also the trees around. "Power means little Connel, I just have had time to learn how to do things.. when you get olderr you will know more then you did now." She was moving off the ground as it shifted more.. the braanches and brambles writhing to show almost faces in the ground in pain aand anguish but they were carved.

“Power means little…” easily said when you’re floating off the ground with little to no effort. However she was right, she’s had the time, just like father did and so on. Without the wisdom to wield it effectively, power did mean little to nothing. She had honed her abilities over countless years, mastering control and precision. It wasn’t just about strength; it was about understanding the limits and potential of her power, something that only time and experience could teach.

Once she was working her magic, so to speak, Connel stood, leveling his rifle out of instinct, but really more prepared through the Force. He was using sight to try and predict what might happen more than anything. This was a testament to his training and discipline. He knew that in situations like this, relying solely on instinct or technology wouldn't be enough. The Force guided his senses, sharpening his awareness and allowing him to anticipate movements with precision. It was a skill honed through years of practice, blending his physical abilities with the subtle power of the Force.

She gave a nod as they were moving in.. the actions here as they fought brought her attention around more. The mental map she used with the force to detect vibrations was going crazy while the brambles seemed to be going further and further stretching into the woods. The waters were settling down for the moment but she could still see a lot that was there. The faces within the branches shifting as going deeper in it looked like they were screaming... some crying.. others in rage but the thorns became larger, longer as egg sacks hung from them. The swarm buzzing around within them, parts of bodies strewn between the branches while it sloped downwards with the waters from the river twisting and turning but it wasn't deep it was just brackish but other things were moving. The jedi master stopped and looked at the pale form of... a face, large nosed and eyes with stubby legs as it looked before turning around and running back into the shadows. More things slithered, skittered and rolled almost as various bugs were moving with teeth and claws and eyes. The darkside presence becoming stronger now but the fleshy faces were still bleeding as the jedi master remained still. "This is not... this is not normal corruption. It is almost like the darkside is bleeding into the forest."

When she was concerned about the Dark Side bleeding into the forest, there was something about this that caught him off guard. This is like the Shadowlands, but increased. Was this something that they could stop, or just had to accept? If they did accept it, would it stop? There was a problem, but how do they nip it?

Then we either cauterize the wound… sterilize… or apply a tourniquet.

Simplistic? Maybe, but if this was throwing off Master Ike? Then it was a big issue to deal with, and sometimes to deal with “big” you should go “small”.

She looked at him and gave a nod of her head. "Yes but where, if it is an underground river there is a lot I can do but that is a huge amount even for me still... eventually." SHe said it but was less going against and more building off of his plan.. he was not wrong about what they needed to do. Really what they needed to figure out the source and she was looking at much more of it as continuing it got more and more twisted. The skittering things were getting bigger the deeper they moved in and they were more strange but not... attacking. THey looked more like something that was just in the ecosystem. The initial sounds of screams came as Matsu moved cresting a small ridge and looking at several of the swarm jumping around with skewers and attacking each other. "war war war" their chanting coming out as they were attacking and eating each other. The ground below changing the air hung heavy and still over a vast, swirling abyss of cloud-like vapor, its center pulled into a deep, concentric vortex. Around this impossible forest, structures of stark, geometric black rose and twisted, forming a dizzying labyrinth of arches, balconies, and endless staircases. These gravity-defying forms jutted out over the maelstrom, their sharp angles and sheer drops suggesting a reality where logic had crumbled. Tiny figures, silhouetted against the swirling light, stood precariously on the edges of this impossible architecture a handful of solitary survivors caught between the crushing weight of the solid structures above and the infinite, churning void below. The entire landscape felt like a manifestation of impossible geometry and existential dread, a prison built of endless paths and bottomless consequence. The jedi master was looking at it as the forest opened to it.. the sensation of the force twisted, corrupted, tainted but the stone was from the mountains and it was bleeding.

Everything that they were looking at and moving towards was only looking and getting worse. What affected him the most was that Master Ike seemed to want to do this alone. Was he just here as security or did she really want him to contribute?

If this is bleeding the Dark Side, almost from the ground itself, wouldn’t we want to inject a little Light into it? Holding up his hand, Connel focused on the Force itself and brought some Electrical energy into said hand, letting it crackle.

Right into the ground? A small area, if it works, we can expand, if it doesn’t… check it off the list?
