That statement is stupid (not calling you stupid, but rather George Lucas for writing it)! Everyone deals in absolutes, whether they be Sith or Jedi or whatever. Normal people deal in absolutes sometimes.
Absolutely.

What are you people doing to Star Wars? Sith are the bad, Jedi are the good... No need to overdramatize things. Bring your civil rights to the real world where they're needed, don't bring them to Star Wars universe... Also, Jedi have always wanted to eliminate Sith, there's no need to break canon.
I fight for bats, and lend my support for other animal wild life charities. (not animal rights organizations, as some of them are terrorists. Even in my eyes)

"Nowhere in our Code is it stated that Jedi act discriminatingly, nor within pseudo-borders of Space; Jedi respect all life."

Via [member="Asha Seren"]'s Signature, I'm going to assume this is a 'team' value. With that in mind I have a question.

What is your policy towards Sithspawn, Sith Undead, and Korriban Zombies?

[member="Valik"]

Ooooo a good question. It depends on how we interpret 'life' does it not? ;)

We won't be allying with anyone in particular; Asha will be working alongside OP as she's going to be the Watchman of Bespin (hence using that location for the start up HQ) but that doesn't mean she's dedicating her time in a biased manner to OP

So are you essentially vigilantes then? Whose law do you recognise when you're hunting down wrong-doers? Would you go into, say, Black Sun space and arrest them for something illegal to you but legal within their sovereign borders?

We don't break rules - the idea is to respect the rules within each nation (minus some sithy ones... ¬___¬ ) but if a nation permits slavery it'd be wrong to enter and stop it without their government's support. You dig me?

hmm we oppose slavery as well, paid minions work better and less likely to revolt
side note if you come to our space expect a warm welcome.
Also anyone else who needs help from your terrorist group

*Tempted to make a Covenant Char just to push the boundary.*

Sooooooooo, if a male Jedi Covenant individual was on Dathomir and was claimed as a man slave mate thingamabobby he'd be honor-bound to stay there and live as a slave for the rest of his days due to respecting the Dathomiri's rules?

Do it!

Hard questions show thought and interest. I can see the issues being brought up in this thread being very interesting to rp out (e.g. possible conflict between the Covenant's desire to remain above galactic politics and practical necessities or the slippery slope of sliding into vigilantism).

How can people make an informed choice without the hard questions being asked? ^_^

So, to change tack slightly. You’re committed to justice for all…except where it conflicts with a non-Sith government? So does this mean that you don’t consider the Sith governments legitimate, and thus targets of revolutionary activity?

What is the Covenant’s policy on fallen and redeemed Jedi?

I think there is a misunderstanding here. As the saying goes: Don't fix what ain't broken. The reason the Jedi operate inside Republic Territory is not because their religion demands it. It is because that is area of space that welcomes their religion with open arms. Heck, one of the reasons the Republic expands so aggressively is to create more worlds upon which the Jedi can be Jedi and do their Jedi thing. Legally, easily, and with the full support from an entire Galactic Civilization.

Free space will always be free space. But the reason the Jedi have been discouraged from proselytizing or warmongering inside other Faction's Territory, is not because their religion is against it. Hardly. It's because that is a really good way to get your character killed by another large group of players. Lol.

I think there is a misunderstanding here. The Jedi Covenant was not created because of a simple break in religious precedence. It's because Independent Jedi don't like taking orders. They like giving them. :D :p

___

So my question would be: Why not just join the Jedi Order and organize their Foreign Policy and Missionary Program abroad?
