Je'daii quest (Iridonia)

[Fyor Nayus]

It was illogical to fight a beast of this size inside the tunnels, his visor was picking up that the stone probably wouldn't be able to stand up to much of a pounding. "The tunnels can't take it, we should draw it out."

The Lorrdian was hardly one for heroics, but playing the odds, sometimes. Fyor edged closer to the beast, appraising the details of it. Thankfully it was distracted by several brave Jedi in front and behind of it now. The fur! Throwing a stun baton at its thigh, it connected giving the fifteen meter tall giant a jolt that was probably not unlike a toothpick getting stuck in its arm. Getting tangled up in the fur however! It rolled down the hairy beast's hulking great leg, stunning it several more times. Until with a throaty roar it turned to face Fyor, briefly showing him a large set of teeth.

"Now would be a good time!" He called out, moving backwards, and diving down. About to become squashed by club swinging his way, as it did a horizontal 180 sweep moving towards several of the Jedi around him, aimed squarely at the now rolling, and now sadly unarmed, Lorrdian.

However the beast now was showing its back to several of the Jedi, still it was a big back!

[Rasu Gan]

A second shuttle landed on the surface of Iridonia, hot, stale air rushed into the craft as its boarding ramp extended onto the cracked earth. Rasu stepped off the ramp, dressed in a light tunic and dark gray pants, she held up her hand to guard her brown eyes from the glaring ray's of the sun. She and the Jedi that were accompanying her, were the second group of Jedi to land on the arid world. Antoher group had come before them, searching for any clues of it's ancient past. It had been said that there were remnants of the old Je'daii order on this world, so the Jedi had come to search the planet, hoping to catch a trace of these remains. However the initial exploration team, hadn't returned or delivered any message indicating their whereabouts, so Rasu's team had been sent to determine their location and if possible complete their primary mission.

Stretching out her awareness in the Force she tried her best to pinpoint the exact position of the exploration team, however her efforts bore no success. I don't know how we're going to go about this, but we have try, she thought. Rasu wasn't the kind of being to just leave comrades to their fate so wouldn't just give up and leave her fellow Jedi to the harsh hand of Iridonia. Brushing her hand over each compartment in her belt, she made sure each component was there, before resting both hands on her twin lightsabers, waiting for her fellow team members to disembark their shuttle.

[Quenladose]

Quenladose was in the shuttle and she moved. The jedi were on the border of iridonia and she had to admit to a few things. They could help these people, they could work to make their lives a better place.... and then she had seen the large Gorax while sitting there and spoke. "Am I never going to meet something smaller then me?" Her face though showed determination at the though of stalling it or stopping it... At best they shoul work to convince it to go away and leave them be for now. "Alright stay calm and at the ready

 

[Cortana Jade]

Sochi was within the second wave of Jedi sent to participate on Iridonia. She had her usual robes on, and as their shuttle entered the atmosphere, and begun to land she could feel the heat rushing in as the doors opened. She was right behind the others when she stepped off the ramp, coming to a stop after taking a couplet of quick steps forward seeing only a massive sentient. She looked up at the sky only to be rejected by the suns bright rays. She quickly looked back down at the ground, her eyes in a squinted position. An massive creature wrecking havoc in this area. It would seem to be identified as an Gorax. Never had she seen one this close and personal. She knew they were few; at least from the tales and stories. She stood still holding her lightsaber in her hand at this point. She took off towards the fighting to help her comrades.

Lews followed the other more experienced Jedi off the shuttle. His long legs carred forward as they were met with a rather dire situation.

His dark red hair was tied back with a simple cord and his reddish brown tunic was tucked into his tan trousers. On his back he wore 3 of his peoples traditional short spears. As he saw the danger he drew his silver hilted lightsaber from his belt. He hated to fight the creature but he could not stand by and watch others be hurt. As Sochi ran forward Lews matched her step for step. He was the lesser in this company but he would give everything he had to help his friends.

He called on the force for strength and speed. As he drew close he ignited his forest green lightsaber and held it firmly.

"I'm with you." He said with determination as the group moved to engage the creature.

 

[Rasu Gan]

Following the first few Jedi who had left the shuttle, Sochi Ru, Quenladose and the Padawan, Lews Therin. Rasu soon could hear distant roars and shouting as they made their way closer to a large opening in the earth. Shouts and bellows echoed there way out of the tunnel entrance as they inched closer and closer to the opening. Suddenly a massive creature burst out of the opening, with numerous glowing lines of light, lightsabers, slowly making their way out behind it.The beast suddenly came to an abrupt halt, noticing the three newcomers, eyeing each of them up before releasing another roar in their faces. Wiping the spit off her face, Rasu extended her Force awareness towards the creature which she now recognised as a Gorax, a native of the forest moon, Endor.

Brushing her consciousness over the creatures mind, she attempted to plant seeds of calm in the hope of soothing it's mindless rage. However her efforts brought forward no success as the creature caught wind of her attempts and began to make it's way in her direction, every step causing the ground to shake. Rasu's heart fell as she realised that this Gorax would have to be killed if the Jedi were to survive, the Shi'ido ignited her twin lightsabers, yellow clashing with green. Leaping towards the monstrosity, she spun in mid-air to dodge the arm that was already swinging to catch her. Rasu planted her feet on the furry limb and bounced off it, digging her yellow blad into the shoulder of the Gorax as she descended, landing firmly on the ground behind it, howling as it reached for the wound.

"Now's our chance," she called out to her fellow Jedi, "Take it down!"

Lews Therin watched @[member="Rasu Gan"] leap high at the Gorax. Lews thought quickly and figured since the creature would have trouble splitting his focus, it would be wise to do the opposite.

As Rasu sprung of the beast' arm Lews sprung at it's exposed legs. He spun in a tight circle as he passed the creature's leg and swung his saber hiping to sever a tendon. He was not quite skilled enough however and struck to early.

The cauderized gash he had made left the smell of burned hair and flesh in the air but didn't hit anything overly vital.

Lews was now behind the Gorax and if the Force was willing they could keep it off balance.

[Saki]

Saki looked up at the gorax as it finally came out. her and Daella had been here but now she could sense some more jedi arriving. Her fists clenched while backing up and rolling her shoulders. There were plenty of ways to go about this and he just needed to get ready while speaking into the comlink. "Whoever is coming in you had best be prepared for a fight and have some of those soldiers hopefully we need to drive it off." Her face kept looking up as Saki rushed towards the leg and lept grabbing at the tuffs of fur to climb up. She wanted to get up there and kick it in the face.

"Make sure you are very careful." Noriko looked at the troopers with her and raised an eyebrow to take them all in while she stood over them, her height still greater then theirs in her clothing. The mention they would be fighting a Gorax was more then enough though as her blade came out like a weight in her hand and the ship opened up. The soldiers moved past her to the ground to try and help the other jedi while the snap hiss of the green blade brought it up in her hand. "Alright lets take down a giant."

 

[Cortana Jade]

Sochi came to a quick halt when she came in close proximity to the beast. From running at a quickened pace, she slide across the ground some when she suddenly stopped. Jumping out of the way of its massive hand that swung around in her direction she regained her footing, in a crouched position. Sochi noticed some dry shrubs beneath the area. She reached out with the force to make use of Consitor Sato. The dried shrubs began to grow, and extend over the left leg of the massive beast. She focused her energies into the plants allowing them to twist and bind themselves together. With surprise it did stop the advance of the beast for a second, but given anymore time, it would easily rip through the roots of these shrubs. She held out her hand to keep her concentration steady. Given the team minimal time to land anymore attacks.

[Rasu Gan]

Watching as her fellow Jedi began to initiate their own attacks on the massive beast, Rasu suddenly sensed a large group of new arrivals. Turning she glimpsed another shuttle descending towards a clearing not far from where their fight was taking place. The boarding ramp extended as around a dozen Republic troopers disembarked the ship, guns held warily in their hands not sure whether to fire at the massive monstrosity that face them. Leading these soldiers was a human Jedi, green lightsaber in hand, she began to slowly direct her troops towards the Gorax. This should be dealt with a lot easier now, Rasu thought to herself, preparing herself for another leap at the creatures shoulder.

Sochi had been able to immobilize the Gorax using the Force to manipulate the grass and vines around it's feet. The turf had suddenly grown, tangling itself around the creatures leg, leaving it to struggle while the Jedi were given an opportunity to attack. Taking advantage of the sudden opportunity, Rasu gripped her twin sabers tighter as she leaped off the ground, her blades humming as they soared through the air. The beast was too distracted by the grass that had entangled it's legs, that it didn't notice the nimble Shi'ido land on its shoulder. Bringing her blades up into the air, she quickly plunged them deep into the right shoulder, feeling her weapons slice through muscle and bone alike. Twisting her blade she brought it up towards her horizontally, leaving a large gash that emanated from the back of the arm, causing the creature to howl in pain. While she still had the opportunity to finally finish the fight, Rasu dug her weapon back through the fresh wound, bringing the blade back through the other side, severing the arm off from the body. Leaping backwards off the Gorax, Rasu watched as the right arm collapsed on the ground, leaving the creature to cradle the burning stump that remained.

Saki kept going, now that the others were attacking she had to admit to this being fun and then she saw one of the jedi slice the beasts hand off... Not an easy feat or something normally done but with a grin it inspired her to climb more until she was on his chest and clinging there. The yellow blade bit into the beast as her hand let go... The searing smell of flesh and fat reach her nose while gravity came to bring her down the stomach and down his leg. while the scream was deafening to her ears and then the ground was coming way to fast for her liking as Saki spoke. "Ah poodoo" The snap in her ears over powered the scream as pain shot up and her ankle went to an odd angle.

Lews Therin raced again into action there would be little time and they still needed to defeat the Gorax and Complete the mission they had originally came here for in the first place. The beast writhed in pain and soon would die from the wound given by Saki, but it was going to die too slowly for safety's sake. Lews gathered his strength and drew deeply on the light side of the force for a Force jump. He leaped into the air and landed near the beast shoulders. The huge ugly creature obviously didn't want another similar wound to that in his chest and began moving even more violently than before. Lews gripped tightly with both hands and climbed until he could reach the back of the beast' terrible head. he let go then with one hand, drew his lightsaber and ignited it. Lews had to draw deeply on the force now to hold on as the Gorax thrashed to get him off.

The force felt like a rushing torrent flooding into him as his forest green blade swung to toward the back of the beast neck. The blade bit deeply into the Gorax's neck severing it's spinal cord and piercing it's brain stem. The huge creature fell backwards on to the dry ground and on top of Lews Therin. It wasn't a graceful endeavor but at least it was over, for now.

 

[Noriko Ike]

Noriko saw it all, she saw the group attacking the creature and that it was hurt, one took off its hand the other had fallen down it as she cut into the creature and the padawan moved quickly letting the blade shift in her hand. The forest and caves could provide cover for them to move about and she made a face. It was a shame to kill the creature but Gorax's weren't known for giving many choices they weren't sentient beyond clubs and clothing and couldn't speak to people. They just took things and now her blade slashed outward and up towards the beasts foot.

 

[Rasu Gan]

Rasu watched as her fellow Jedi brought the massive Gorax to it's knees. After the Shi'ido had severed the beasts gigantic arm, three others had stepped into deliver the final blows, one; a deep gash down the chest, another slashing at it's feet and finally severing the spinal cord and brain stem. The combination of all three plus the wound from its arm, resulted in the Gorax collapsing to the ground, the life leaving its eyes. It had been a full on fight and although it had only taken a few minutes, Rasu could feel the beginnings of fatigue slowly gripping her as adrenaline began to subside within her body.

"Well done everyone..." she began to say, however stopped suddenly as she noticed the condition of Saki. Running up to her fellow Jedi Knight, she knelt down beside the woman, taking a closer look at her obviously broken ankles. Both bones were jutting out at odd angles, seeming to cause great pain to the woman as she moved slightly. "Stop moving Saki, we'll get you to the shuttle so someone can have a better look at the bone." She gestured to the others, bringing them all together so that they could see Saki's condition and could brainstorm ideas of how to get her back to the shuttle, without causing too much pain to the woman.

Lews limped over and looked at his fellow Jedi Saki. Her condition was not good but it could have been much worse.

"We need a gurney and some pain medication. However, if we interlock arms beneath her we could move her together." Lews had read about emergency procedures for helping wounded off a battlefield. If they all worked together she could be moved but with out pain killers or trying to heal her now she would be very 'displeased' with the process.

"Ahhh" Saki watched when the thing went down and she had a face. Not from it dying but from her ankle while she laid there and heard the one knight. A look of surprise and concern wasn't needed she had been through worse but. She tried to get up and fell back over. "Okay, I'm done. Ahhh just make sure there ins't anything in the cave and lets get to the medical facility. Better yet someone send a call over to Ithor and talk to @[member="Boolon Murr"] he has the good stuff and can knock me on out."

 

[Cortana Jade]

Sochi lightly over to the site of Saki. She had been injured it seemed. Sochi quickly holstered her lightsaber. They handled the Gorax, and she saw that Saki couldnt even stand up straight. Sochi had some skill with force healing. She could aid the healing process, but there was still more that would need to go into it. She was without bandages and bacta to clean around the wound. She would have to act, she kneeled down beside the wounded knight.

" I'm skilled with Force healing, I can try to provide aid at least until were able to get you to a medical facility"

Lews nodded to the Knight, she knew what she was doing, but even so he felt the nagging feeling they needed to continue the search of the caves. He turned and closed his eyes. He couldn't sense anything and yet the feeling remained.

"Maybe a few of us should check the caves and see if there is anything else or anyone else down there." Lews turned to look at the Injured Jedi and the assembled group. He was by far the lesser in this company, "I will help where you need me to."

This was not a world she had expected to come to, it was close enough to the Republics border that it hadn't seemed important but then the jedi had gotten their message through Republic channels and suddenly it was very important. suddenly it was something they needed to get to and that was why she sat in the lounge area of the cruiser and enjoyed the sights of it all. Reading some of the reports that were coming in. "And what are you searching for jedi?" Her eyes flicked up to wonder while some more troopers moved dow the hall and it drew her attention. "Well guess they found something."
