DESCRIPTION The Jairdain-II mortar features much of the same systems as its predecessor, while retaining the 120mm caliber. As with other weapons recently released, the Jairdain-II features a free-floating barrel, which allows it to maintain accuracy better than would otherwise be the case and, more importantly, the adjustable current inside the barrel's rails allows it to adjust the muzzle velocity according to the range, and thus allows it to reduce the weight of the ammunition due to the need for augmentation rings being eliminated. However, the power generator makes the mortar more cumbersome which was proven to only help a little bit for the recoil, which is, especially when fired at long ranges, can become troublesome, as is the noise generated by a Jairdain being fired.

A minimum time of 60 seconds is required to set up a Jairdain-II on the field or to remove it for moving the team in or out. As with all mortars, there is a range below which the Jairdain-II cannot hit; for this reason, it is required to be supported by other infantry elements to be fully effective. Also, given the slow muzzle velocity, it is easy for mortars to miss small or mobile targets and hence must be used only against massed targets, large targets or against immobile targets such as fortifications.

Note: The Jairdain-II's blast radius is about 75m and therefore can cause a lot of damage, especially closer to the center of the blast. As a consequence, it is also indiscriminate.
