Faction Issue # 1 - Arrival at the Praxeum [NJP/ Open to All Jedi]

Kael was exceedingly intrigued at the situation he found himself in. One minute he was on Naboo, the next he's here. Still in search of a mentor, he hoped he would be assigned one soon. "I see, well this place seems very promising. I hope to learn all I can of the Jedi code, teachings of this place, as well as the high Republic, I should be a knowledgeable Jedi in no time."

The wind kept blowing with that same moisture in the air, it felt amazing. The planet was in fact majestically glorious. This new academy for all Jedi to be welcomed was an amazing idea and concept, and Kael wished nothing more than to stay.

"I am staying, I am assuming you are too?

He glanced back at Master Ike.

"For the moment. I have no where pressing to be. I am interested in Katarine Ryiah Katarine Ryiah goals. A praxeum is beneficial but it needs ones to maintain it. If we are all coming here then the tour should prove the most interesting." She was looking at it and there was the food as she held a hand out and brought some to her to try. Slipping the candy into a small slip pocket that she had while the food came over towards her with one hand holding it up while she looked it over. Eyes flicking down to look upon the padawan. "A strong endeavor to gain knowledge padawan." She said it while looking at him and offered a look as her hair continued to float with herself. "Though one should never stop learning even the older more experienced should always be looking to grow and learn."

Lily had heard about a meeting on Chalacta, a gathering of Jedi once again, the assumption was this would be another enclave, similar to the one that was going to be fighting against the Sith Covenant. Similar to how she went to see them and wish them well in their endeavours as well as offer her own support, Lily came to Chalacta. She was curious what the goal would be, where the focus would lie and she was wondering how many would be attending the event.

Entering the meeting, she noted several people that she recognised, such as the Wookiee Padawan she sparred with once, Kuhbee. There was Aris Noble. Master Matsu Ike. Pari Sylune as well, who she had seen around the High Republic. Lily did note a couple unfamiliar faces around as well, but that was good. Meeting new people, Padawans eager to learn was always a good sign in her mind. Hearing the speech from Katarine was one that she was sympathetic towards as well. Lily never strove to embody the legends of the past, but she understood why so many sought to connect and live up to their reputations.

They made great impacts on the galaxy and it was hard to not desire to do the same.

For now, Lily focused on the gathering and giggled softly at the mention of food. She was sure that there would be plenty of people keen to see how the food was. Especially if they desired to stay at this enclave for any length of time. Lily felt sure that Katarine could provide a great deal of teaching to the students who attended and looking around, she knew that others who were willing to commit and help had the chance to make something great here. Lily smiled, it reminded her of the enclave on Jakku, something that felt like a lifetime ago. But that started a small enclave, a small knitted group and from there. Events happened that inspired the High Republic.

At least, that was how it had felt to Lily during the time.

It would be nice to see that happen again.

Kael smiled as he heads the words from the esteemed elegantly dressed Jedi Master. He had a lot to learn, and he knew that. Knowledge is a very powerful entity within the world.

"Understood, Master." He said as he began to eat the provided food of the event.
"I hope I find someone like you to teach me the ways of the force.
He was hopeful, but he also felt lost sometimes.

"You'll be taller than me before you know it." Aris chuckled softly before his ga,e drifted towards the center of the meeting. Kat. His smile widened just a bit to see her leading this all. Purpose was hard to come by, as he was learning first hand. It was good to see she'd found a start for her own finally.

His eyes drifted as another joined. A Nautolan. He bowed his head.

"Aris. I'm Jedi, yes. From Niv Hani."

"I cant help but notice you are alone, you are a padawan, correct? Who is your teacher?"

Pari nodded at the blue skinned woman. “Yes I am a padawan to my master Knight Anneliese Kaohal-Delaine Anneliese Kaohal-Delaine . She has been on a very complex extended assignment that the Council deemed should not include padawans yet. In her absence I’ve been studying at several enclaves. “

There were now servers coming around with drinks and small finger foods, while others were heading to omelet stations and a brunch buffet.

Pari thanked a server as she was handed a glass of juice. “Cheers.” She smiled, intently happy to be surrounded by such good energy.

Kuhbee grinned at the thought of being taller than Aris but before he could respond they were joined by another padawan. This caused the young Wookiee to wave with excitement and bounce slightly.

“Geeeaaawwwrrrr arrgguffrrr”

[I am a Jedi too! My name is Kuhbee.]

His droid buzzer chirped the translation in a bored way, as if it would rather be anywhere else. Kuhbee thumped the droid with his thumb and it beeped indignantly.

“Argggg grriiooo Grrsdrrrrr”

[Kuhbee says let’s get some food.]

Wookiees were always hungry, especially teenage ones!

In her absence I’ve been studying at several enclaves.

She nodded and smiled at the girl. She knew what that was like, her own teacher Zhea Nox Zhea Nox had been wonderful, but with the demands on them it sometimes felt like they were ships passing in the night.

"In her absense I would be honored if you would allow me to train with you. I would enjoy learning a little more about this world from one of its residents."

She tapped her glass against Pari's for the light toast.

Her gaze went to him for a moment and she continued to watch with a short blink for a moment before her voice came out. "Hmmm, should you wish one simply ask and I can come to find you." SHe said it while remaining there and didn't need to worry about a comlink frequency, her awareness through the arrt of the small letting her observe at a smallerr level. There were others around them and she remained suspended in the moment before she was speaking. "Tell me what it is that you know so far? About the orders? About the force?" Her head tilted to the side for a moment though with a small smile forming on her lips.

Kael looked down as the question was asked. He honestly didn't know that much, he showed up to the Jedi temple on Naboo and then was immediately put into a shuttle.

"To be honest Master.. I hardly know anything, I act mainly on survival instincts and the force just flows through me, I don't really know the basics. The moment I showed up to the temple on Naboo, I barely got to say any words before I was put on a shuttle enroute to here, and here we are. Would you teach me?"

He felt awkward asking that, he didn't like to ask those types of questions. He wanted to be chosen. Isn't that how Masters and Padawans are supposed to be?

She turned to watch him and listen. Looking at she hovered and making it clear he had her full attention in the moment. The jedi master adjusted herself to be aat eye level so neither had to strain when he was speaking about what he knew or in this case didn't know and how he came to be here. Her hair floating behind her more like a curtain as kyber beads and bells gleamed with light around her face. "I see." She said it while remaining there for the moment suspended but offered him a small grin and nod of her head. "I would be happy to teach you padawan, though I do warning there are some who might consider what I do unconventional."

Kael smiled at the woman as she leaned to match the level of his eyes, as he was significantly shorter than the Master. The wind blowing pulling both his and her hair to the side as it flowed throughout. Mother Nature was in agreement with that concept it seemed.

"I have no problem at all whatsoever with the methods you would use to teach, I mean, I haven't had a teacher to even compare." Kael smiled at the woman again and then bowed at her. "I would be honored to be your Padawan, if you would have me, Master Ike.

Hmmm she thought it while remaining there and she didn't touch the ground but the jedi master stood close to it. her bare feet hovering millimeters above the floor for a moment as she stood to her full five foot of height. Her hair receding into a more manageable ankle length with the train of her robes becoming leggings to allow movement. THe sleeveless design remained but she brought a hand up to adjust the hair behind her ear as the small force crystals in the lobs and ridged rings with a spine of an echo stone gleamed. "Very well padawan." She said it with a softer voice but no less her eyes were tracking him but also everyone else in the room. "Now to begin tell me about these instincts you have? Are they in your gut, flashes behind the eyes? A dream you are almost awake forr?"

Kael hesitated.
The answer wasn’t something he had ever been asked to explain.
He searched for the right words, fingers tightening slightly at his sides.

“It’s not like a dream,” he said at last, voice quieter than he expected. “I don’t think I’m asleep when it happens.”
He paused
He swallowed once, eyes flicking briefly toward the floor before returning forward.

“It’s… faster than thought.”
His brow furrowed slightly as he tried to describe something that had never needed language before.
“Sometimes it’s in my chest. Like a pull before something moves. Other times…” He exhaled slowly. “It’s behind my eyes. Like I already saw it happen a second ago, and I’m just… catching up to it.”
He paused again.
“And sometimes I don’t feel it at all until it’s already too late.”
Silence settled between them.
Kael straightened a fraction, as if bracing for correction.

“I don’t know if it’s the Force the way it’s supposed to be,” he admitted. “But it’s always there when things go wrong.”
His voice lowered slightly.
“Or when they’re about to.”

Faelyra Vynn did not arrive with the others. Not truly. She had stepped off her transport, followed the gentle current of movement through the Praxeum’s halls, and yet somehow remained… apart. As if the Force itself had not quite decided where to place her within it all.

The Great Hall opened before her, wide and alive with presence. Voices layered over one another in soft currents—uncertainty, relief, curiosity—each emotion brushing faintly against her senses. It was not overwhelming. It never was. But it was dense, like standing in warm water that reached just below her chin. She lingered near the outer curve of the chamber, exactly where she could see everything without being seen in return. A habit.

Her hands folded loosely at her waist, fingers lightly interlaced, the posture more for grounding than formality. The fabric of her robes shifted faintly as she breathed, slow and measured, anchoring herself in the rhythm she had learned long before knighthood had ever been a possibility. So many Jedi. So many paths.

Faelyra’s gaze moved—not lingering long on any one figure, but feeling them. Some burned bright with confidence, others flickered with doubt. A few carried something heavier—wounds not of the body, but of memory. Those she noticed most.

Her awareness brushed gently outward, instinctively, almost without permission. Not probing. Never invasive. Just… present. Like a hand hovering near a flame, close enough to feel its warmth without disturbing it. This place…It wasn’t like the enclaves she had trained in. There was no rigid structure pressing down, no singular philosophy dominating the space. Instead, the Force here moved like a braided current—different traditions, different understandings, somehow flowing alongside one another without breaking. It was… fragile. And hopeful.

Faelyra lowered her gaze briefly, lashes casting faint shadows across her cheeks. A Praxeum meant growth. Growth meant strain. Strain meant injury. The thought did not trouble her. It steadied her. Her role had never been to stand at the center of things. Not in battle, not in debate, not in gatherings like this. She did not shine the way others did. She mended what remained after.

A faint exhale left her, barely audible. For a moment, she considered stepping forward—closing the distance between herself and the forming groups, allowing herself to be seen, to be known.
The moment passed. Instead, she remained where she was, a quiet presence at the edge of something much larger than herself. Watching. Listening. Learning the subtle rhythms of this new beginning.

Waiting—not out of fear. But because she understood something many did not: Every living thing revealed where it needed healing… if you were patient enough to see it.

"Food sounds like a good idea." Aris nodded once to Kuhbee, though paused as he felt something. Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti had been the one to open the door for hin to be aware of others in the Force. He couldn't seek them out, but when they extended a hand, let their presence drift towars his, he could feel them.

His gaze fell over to Faelyra. He smiled, dipping his head some before motioning for her to step over. There was no wall flowering here.

She listened to him intently to understand what he was saying and gave a nod of her head. "I see." That was certainly a way to look at it and she could think about good ways to be able to function with it. "The force can alert us to many things." She said it but remained there as another came to join them but she kept her focus on the padawan with a smile. "There is a strength in the reaction that you might get, it can be for danger at times but it isn't always going to be able to alert you to danger. You will have to train it and it gives us a place to start and build a foundation for being able to feel the force itself." She remained there. "Now when you are able to feel it as a warning are you relaxed orr is your heart racing?"
