Faction Issue # 1 - Arrival at the Praxeum [NJP/ Open to All Jedi]

after introducing him self to the women, novac, still unsure of where to go, what to do, began to wander around. a little aimlessly, seeing the area around him, they people. wondering how strong they are. the onlyforce user he knew up until now was his master Cinia. a old female chelidae. she was wise and strong with the force, but not as strong as he was, at least thats what she told him. she sent him here to learn more, meet more people, and have somewhere were he might feel lile he belongs for once. she kept trying to get him to go out and talk to others, instead of talking to her, his droids and pets for once

Kael looked at his Master with a smile still gliding alongside her.
"What easier ways?"
He was like a sponge when it came to the teachings and trainings of the Jedi code and the force. Admittedly it came pretty naturally to him. Kael always wondering how his brother was faring, he worried about him. He had heard stories of the chaos and destruction his brother was leaving in his wake of any place he would be at. Twin brothers at an impass. A cross roads. One Jedi, one sith. One light. One dark. He needed to get stronger, just in case that they met again one day, he needed to be prepared. He was so grateful to be taken as a Padawan for the grandmaster of all things of the silver Jedi order. It was an honor.

Her gaze remained on him. "Well talking to it sometimes works, like with my children a stern voice makes things happen. The other way is to understand some of the aspects of the physics of the galaxy. Once you understand the fundamental parts that make up the galaxy and reality you can start to understand this dimensional plane of the force. From there manipulating and altering it at the smallest level becomes something natural. For most Jedi this is the art of the small and they use it to shrink their presence in the force, some to alter small things like their tears to heal but there are possibilities few have begun to understand." She held her hands out while she moved. "One of them to begin with it gliding through and having no mass for gravity to pull on. You shift it to somewhere else, somewhere smaller and connected."

giving a small bow, "hello there, im novac lyrikal, though you can just call me novac. i couldn't help but watch you. being able to float like that is quite impressive. i dont think i ever could. but oh well, everyone has things they can and cant do. i mean i can almost talk to animals, but my master cant. though, still, flying like that seems kind of fun," he says that last part with a slight chuckle.

"It can be, communion with the force is personal for everyone and that perspective can determine how you view the reality you are in." She said it and looked at the others who were there. "Seems we have been getting more and more." She said it but was happy to see the others arriving while she moved over to float and hover. She looked at Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor as he was there and moved to land on his should like he was a statue and her a smaller bird... light as a feather but she could be perched. "Padawan Novac, the ability to float and glide is not restricted, anything is possible with the force. One just has to train and understand patience."

to master Ike "while im not to sure of flying or floating, i have learned one thing related to mobility" once he says this he slithers over to the nearest wall. he continues going foward, not stopping at the wall, but calmly going up it as if it was the ground. torso leaning up as to not be sideways "i have learned to sort of stick to walls. its sort of like a constant force push, but on myself. having the force push me against the wall lile a brace or harness of sorts. im already good at getting in places i shouldnt, well compared to a more human body like yours. this helps with that. i mainly just use it to easily travers scarp yards since i havent seen much combat, nor have i had to some kind of spy stuff" hes says jokingly "but i've practiced it a good bit in chase i ever do need to in a fight or something. besides, its just kind of fun to do" he says while turning so his torso and head are upside-down.

Kael stood still, watching her perch with effortless grace, his expression calm but intent.
“Anything is possible,” he echoed quietly, stepping forward, eyes shifting between her and Novac. “But not everything should be rushed toward.”
He folded his hands behind his back, posture disciplined.
“The Force isn’t just about what we can do—it’s about understanding why we do it. Patience isn’t only waiting… it’s restraint.”
His gaze settled on Novac.
“Once we learn control first. The rest will follow. Right Master?" His gaze shifted to Master Ike.

still upside-down. "indeed. my master had to take quite a lot of time to teach me to be more patient. i was always so eager, wanting to learn more, so excited. but of course, you cant rush your learning, even more so when it comes to the force. time is important." he turned his gaze to master Ike. she moved with a grace he rarely if ever saw. it was impressive. for a moment he wondered if he could be that graceful, but quickly thought that it wasnt his style.

Her nod came while she was looking at both of them. "Yes more understanding will come with time. It is called the mysteries of the force and there are always more to learn, always more to find even when you start to discern and answer. Even with all of my research, training and exploration of the mysteries, myths and legends. I am at times feeling like a child trying to understand as I look through the crack in the door." She said it and moved as she rotated herself to look at the padawan upside down. He was much like a bo-dun which helped in some of the surprise and understanding. Yag was an exceptional padawan in many regards as the master spoke. "It is essential to a jedi, nearly as much as an understanding of what will affect them most of all."

sliding back down to the ground "" yea. but to me, thats one of the great things about the force. theres always more to learn. its like with droids, always new ways to build them, or alien animals, always more wonderful species to find. theres a wonder in it really, of finding something new, or learning how to use the force in a way you couldn't. a way you might have never even thought possible. for example. when i was young i knew about the force, heard the storys of jedi's and their powers. but at the time i couldnt use it. then later in life when i've been trained a bit, i find out i can use the force to calm or even tae wild animals, and that i subconsciously did in the past. there really is always to news to use or learn about the force. it really is wonderful."

Kael tilted his head slightly, her words settling over him like a quiet current he couldn’t quite see—but could feel.

“Then maybe understanding isn’t the goal,” he said after a moment, his voice calm but edged with thought. “Not fully.”

His gaze shifted between Master and Padawan, lingering for a second longer on the latter’s unusual posture before returning forward.

“If the Force is always beyond us… always just past that door… then chasing certainty might be what blinds us.” He folded his arms loosely behind his back.
"Maybe it’s not about knowing what affects us most—but learning to face it without needing to understand it first.”
A faint pause.
“…or trusting that the Force already does.”

"Well, I mean... guys like us, we're not exactly the type of people they write about in history books, you know? But the people we saved, they're our legacy."

Katarine moved through the crowd slowly, nodding at those she knew, and shaking hands with those she did not. This was the entire point after all, trying to get to know the Jedi of this time period better, and trying to make herself less isolated. Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor had been the one to suggest it. She would have to thank him when she saw him again. She had heard he met someone nice, and she hoped it was true, not that she would ever ask since it wasn't really her business.

She moved until she heard the words of a young newly promoted Knight. "Welcome Faelyra Vynn Faelyra Vynn . A healer would be a welcome addition to this school. Congratulations on completing your trials."

She looked at the two of them and gave a shrug with a small look. "Perhaps but reflect on it, understand it but don't overthink it. Sometimes a situation is just a senior jedi talking in circles to sound cryptic and wise so you believe she is profound." SHe said ti with a smile on her face though while she moved there. "You both have plenty of time to learn and think about it and then after all of that you can meditate upon it and think some more. The jedi provide no end to the chance to sit and think about things you have learned but thinking about it and understanding it a key difference."

She gave a small grin to that and debated a little... but she was older compared to many of the others. Even renewing herself and Hanna with the force and using the force giving her a more youthful look. She didn't fully deny it. "Well I doubt I'm any wiser than I was fifty years back. I'm older. I've been up, and been down, and been up again. Have I learned ? I've learned from my mistakes, but I've had more time to commit more mistakes." She said it while looking at the padawan though but offered the widest grin. "I might have also learned how to walk force dimensional planes but we'll save that lesson for later."

"i see, i've also heard that the force can be unique from person to person. at least the way they use it, or can use it. i know some who are almost fully reliant on the force, others who barely use it. i've always thought a nice middle ground was the best approach. bit of both, cant be over reliant but should disregard it. for example of what i mean by unique from person to person. my master is a chelidae, a turtle like species. their know for being incredibly slow. but my master uses the force to move faster. thats kind of her.."thing" i guess you could say. where as i, well what im about to say is just what my master says. i almost subconsciously use the force on animals to calm them. of course it doesnt always work. i have a few storys from times it didnt, anyway. but that just comes naturally to me." novac realised something, he was rambling again. he tends to do this when he starts talking about stuff he really likes. at times its a little embarrassing, but here and now he felt fine with it. the people here seemed nice enough to not really be bothered luckily. perhaps he really will fit in here he thought.

Kael listened quietly, the edges of her words settling into him rather than passing by.
There was no rush to answer.
A faint smile touched his expression—not amused, but understanding in a way that came from recognizing truth when it wasn’t dressed up to impress.

“Then maybe wisdom isn’t about getting it right the first time,” he said gently, “but knowing how to stand back up when you don’t.”

His tone carried respect, not debate. He wasn’t weighing himself against her—just trying to meet her where she stood.

His gaze lingered for a moment, thoughtful.
“I think that’s what I’d want to learn,” Kael continued. “Not how to avoid mistakes entirely… but how to not be defined by them.”
At her mention of walking Force-dimensional planes, something in him shifted—curiosity, quiet but unmistakable.
That was beyond him. Far beyond.
And he knew it.
His smile grew just slightly.

“I’ll hold you to that lesson someday, Master,” he said, a hint of warmth in his voice. “When I’m ready not to get lost the moment I'll take that step.”
He dipped his head respectfully.
“For now… I think I still have a lot to learn just walking forward.”

She gave a nod listening to the both of them from her perch on Connels shoulder while she was looking down. The smile though when she spoke. "Worry not, I have a guide book and we have a compass." She said it and the force compasses were an impressive thing to have. She had given them to many of the others though as she remained there. Looking at both of the padawans for a nod of her head. "Unique abilities can appear in people and in families. Some have more simple and often considered mundane, some interesting and some visually impactful. The Halcyons and Horns family with their illusions or the Merrils and starchasers with their navigation."

"its kind of like a um..i was going to say finger print, unique to everyone. but like you mentioned ike, familys can have unique abilitys shared between them. so thats not really right. do either of you have anything special?" he says tilting his head a little as he asks.

his former master cinia specialized in using the force to enhance her speed, her species where otherwise extremely slow. it took quite a while for novac to be able to face her in sparring matches due to just her speed alone, not to mention her skill in other ways.

novac always wanted something unique, or just something he was particularly good at compared to others. yea he could tame animals fairly well. but he never really got the chance to use that unless he specifically went out looking for animals, so it wasnt very useful most of the time. he could clim walls and ceilings however..'guess thats something but still' he thought

"how would one go about finding out anyway? lile how would they find what makes them special with the force? just like..train a lot? " he asked.
