Invasion of Nar Shaddaa (Reps vs. Suns)

@[member="Grundark"] @[member="Darth Arcis"] @[member="Selena Halcyon"]

In Orbit: Aboard the Defias
x3 Imperial Star Destroyer II (Flagship - The Defias, Black Blade, Aerdakka)
x2 Panther Class Carrier (Desperado, Aether)
x6 Oscuras Corvette (Fear, Netherstorm, Balkade, Yarrolow, Medina, Prism)

"Grundark you bastard listen to me"! Rayl smashed down his comm screen first to the corner of his command chair. Were their signals somehow jammed, or was that trunk appendage'd bugger simply ignoring him. He'd been yelling for attention the past five minutes and got nothing. "Screw him. I'll take this matter into my own hands. Comms, hail the fleet and get me in touch with the Sith commander". No one else was in orbit anyways to command their forces, no one of note that is. Rayl would lead them. And it would be a privilege to do so.

Rayl acquired another comm link to replace the one he smashed. "Black Sun. The honor has fallen to me, Rayl Wilded, Pirate Lord of Kira. To command us against The Republic. I'm sure many of you know my reputation. I've bested their fleet commanders for a decade, and longer then that have I still fought them. With the help of the Sith we will best them this day. Then we'll take our revenge against them. Rally around The Defias, and we'll weather their storm". Rayl's own bridge crew cheered at his little speech, a little added affect to sound over the comms. The Suns defense fleet one by one chimed in with an aye my lord aye. They were ready to fight. With Rayl's command and the Sith fleet; The Republic will regret the day they ever set ship into view of Nar Shaddaa.

"Rayl we've opened a hardened channel to the Sith. Its the Emperor himself leading them".

Well least that proved the signals weren't jammed. Grundark would still hear an ear full from him if they lived through this day. Maybe even loose and ear. That was for latter though. "Patch me through on the holo". A holo image of the masked Pirate would flicker in and glow blue. Whatever size he'd be he didn't know, that was up for the setting on their side. His masked and finely clothed self along with some of the background of his exquisitely decorated bridge would be visible to the Emperor of the Sith. "Greetings Emperor Lussk. Tis fine day indeed for two lords to bring about the destruction of a Republic fleet. I am Rayl Wilded, Lord of Kira, and commander of our forces here above world. I thank you for coming to our aid. Dommino has abandoned us far as I can tell, I can't even get a hold of the Security lout Grundark. I need to know of your intended strategy sir. Coordination will be key".

Blessed are the peacemakers
There was a tell-tale beeping before an activation of an explosive of that magnitude. Typically, thermal detonators unless extremely expensive and highly restricted military models only had a blast radius of five to six meters. So, when Roland heard the ticking of the Baradium being thrust into a fusion reaction, Roland had only a few precious moments to act on, five to six seconds exactly. Thermal detonators were reliable for their effectiveness, but sixteen feet was quite a short distance compared to the devastating effects of other grenades that could inflict damage beyond that range. Roland employed a sprinting dive and roll, coming out of the blast radius, unharmed. He stood up as he felt the wave of heat pass by him, singing some of his lighter, more blonde hairs. He stared at Mr. Ash, for a long while. He tucked his pistol away, finding him not that interesting.

Roland sometimes sympathized with less than good people, people like him and the man before him. Roland wiped away some sweat from his mouth, staring at Mr. Ash for a moment."Republic, and Jedi are moving into the city. You'd be wise to not even think for a moment to interfere with them or think about attacking them...you're going to bark up the wrong tree."Roland said, tucking away his pistol. He had light burns on his body, but nothing that was nothing more painful than a slight sunburn. Roland used a small box to levy himself back up to the vent, and departed the building, as quietly as he came. In reality, Roland had simply been gathering information, and he had another, more sinister objective to complete, one of his own designs, though it would secure a better standing for the republic. It was simple, and it was devious.

False terrorism made him giggle in excitement, if he ever smiled.

Hannibal didn't remain stationary as Fenn delivered his standing ovation. He signaled for his droids to move up and follow him as the Fondorian moved to apprehend the Vice Chancellor. With Hannibal able to see the Vice Chancellor more clearly now, his Hi-Sense eyes focused on the man and recorded audio and visual of his. Hannibal would later upload this to HoloTube in the hopes that it would go viral, but that was a topic for a different time. A chute opened up underneath Fenn and swallowed the Echani whole. A secret escape route? This guy had been operating here longer than Hannibal, or even the syndicate, had originally thought. Forever undaunted, Hannibal sprinted over, his jetpack firing briefly to afford him greater speed. The droids that had accompanied Hannibal followed dutifully.

Hearing ominous beeping, Hannibal didn't waste any time crouching down and starting to cut through the trap door. His gauntlets were specially made for these kinds of situations, having a built in fusion cutter for just the occasion. Nothing frustrated a bounty hunter more than a locked durasteel door. Enter the fusion cutter- destroyer of doors. Within moments, the chute was cut open, and the droids dutifully leaped down. Hannibal followed behind them, only to instantly come under fire as the warehouse above them simultaneously collapsed.

A dozen or so Confederate war droids were set up down the hall, opening fire with standard BlasTech rifles. The Hutt Legionnaires were not particularly durable droids, but they held up long enough to shield Hannibal from blaster bolts and return fire with a report of blaster bolts and thermal detonators. The Clanker was a more well-rounded droid by far but when all was said and done, the Legionnaire had greater access to its grenade launcher attachment. In the tight confines of the hallway, there was little room for the Clankers to avoid the half-dozen thermal detonator explosion that wiped them out. One remained standing, but was simultaneously gunned down by a Legionnaire before it could cause any other damage. Hannibal was now down five droids, but at least he had a clear shot to the door down the hall.

"What're you clowns waitin' for? Blow it open." Hannibal demanded. No way he was losing this paycheck.

A Legionnaire with a rocket-launcher arm attachment instead of a grenade launcher announced an affirmative in binary, taking aim, and launching a high-powered rocket for the doors to Yusan's panic room. With any luck, it would be blow open and cause enough of a dust cloud to obscure the view of those turrets.

As the doors were blown open a fan inside the panic room sucked up the smoke into a vent that would go on for several hundred meters, clearing the turret's view within five seconds and they certainly took no time picking targets, instead the turrets fired down the tight hall and easily began to gun down those not smart enough to find some place to hide.

Outside the tunnel the city's lower levels under the area where Yusan's warehouse had been were in chaos, fires now raging and the debris becoming an ever larger avalanche of durasteel and stone as it collapsed from level to level. Though this had not been Yusan's plan in the first place, it certainly worked out better. After all, a trio of Sun gunships fired on a warehouse out of the blue which then began to collapse as the supports failed and it fell towards the lower levels causing more death and destruction. This would only make the Suns look like the terrorists they were.

Activating a blast shield in case one of the mercs were alittle trigger happy with another launcher. Yusan watched from behind it while the turrets continued to fire down the hall at the troops. Meanwhile Yusan already had three different escape routes planned out, a dozen nasty surprises, and quite a few things he could do to taunt the dogs that were the Black Suns. @[member="Hannibal Oryen"]

@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Of course, recovered footage and a proper investigation would indicate that it was a controlled demolition which brought the avalanche down into lower levels. Controlled demolitions that had been in place by a certain Senator from Eshan. Especially considering the Echani was now documented by Hannibal's eyes to have been there. Things were not looking good for his political career when this went public. Then again, Fenn wouldn't be able to feel the repercussions on the Republic side of things when he wound up in a Syndicate jail cell. Pitty that- they probably would have been nicer about it.

Hannibal watched helplessly as the smoke was suddenly sucked up, but it did give him time to realize what was happening. "Fire again! Fire again!"

More grenades and another rocket soared through the air and into the panic room, but not before the turrets managed to open fire and mow down another droid. This was getting ridiculous. Hannibal was already down to four droids and he still wasn't any closer to capturing this lunatic. Whatever. It would make his triumph all the greater. As another massive explosion went off, annihilating the turrets and likely giving that He radioed in to intelligence to start getting information on construction projects in the area, particularly any tunnels and bunkers as he made his way briskly down the hall, Retaliator at the ready and droids at his flanks. He also made note to keep track of his position so reinforcements could be placed wherever these tunnels ended.

Two hundred droids, not counting the one-thousand-eight-hundred he had left behind, at his disposal. Plus the gunships. And the dropships.

This guy wasn't going anywhere.

Yusan sat behind the blast shield as the new smoke cleared, standing and clapping again. "You know, your quite persistent right? No matter." He pulled something out of his cloak with several buttons. Clicking one a door slid open to his right which he exited into, but not before pressing a second button which of course opened two vents and began to fill the room with a gas. Of course Yusan had been very careful to make sure the gas was highly flammable and when it filled the room to the point where it touched the blast shield... well it would be obvious what happened. He had built this place to be a death trap for anyone that did not know how to navigate it safely and now Hannibal would be his little pawn. Once he stepped through the door it slid shut behind him leaving Hannibal to find once more a way out of this. @[member="Hannibal Oryen"]

@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Damn it, too slow again. The Echani patronized Hannibal once more, and the cyborg took the opportunity to record that as well. Who wouldn't want to find out that Republic taxpayer Credits were going to the Vice-Chancellor's underground death fortress? No matter, Hannibal still had a job to do and a bounty to collect on. This guy was going to need more than a remote, some gas, and blast doors to stop Hannibal fethin' Oryen. Thankfully Hannibal's mask acted as a rebreather and he didn't need to worry about breathing the gas in. Hannibal made note of the door the Senator used and made his way over the computer console in the room. As he did so, he shouldered his Retaliator and swapped it in favor of his Woebringer.

The cybernetic-enhanced Fondorian interfaced with the computer through his PsiCom interface, lines of data and information scrolling across his field of vision, courtesy once again of his cybernetic eyes. When it came to slicing open doors and into computer systems in general, there was no substitute for a cyborg with a miniature computer embedded in his skull. Hannibal shut the gas off promptly and opened the door the Echani had vanished through. Once again, the path was clear, and Hannibal was back on the hunt.

"Motherfethin' punk-ass..." Hannibal muttered, following after Yusan with his remaining droids. He'd have to be more careful with them going forward.

Yusan's voice sounded over a speaker wedged in the wall, both hidden camera's and pressure sensitive plates showing where Hannibal was from Yusan's next bunker. This one hidden off to the side behind several doors which would be nearly invisible. But it mattered not, the doors were a long way down the hall and Hannibal had a few surprises to get through. The first being an Electro-Magnetic pulse which was generated from the plates around the Droids and Hannibal all to the sound of Yusan's voice. "Tick tock tick tock where am i hiding? First how about you deal with a bit of a network frying of your droids courtesy of Void #2 when he had this section built. It was a nice find really, a tunnel system built up over the years by a hundred year old legend and oh how there is much more for you to find out about it." @[member="Hannibal Oryen"]

@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Hannibal's implants and equipment were fortified against EMPs, but the droids weren't so lucky. They collapsed, now becoming little more than vaguely humanoid piles of scrap metal. So much for being careful. Fine. He didn't need those droids anyway. Hannibal had his own ingenuity and tactical know how. The cybernetics and the guns helped as well, of course, but that was besides the point. Hannibal was completely uninterested in playing this lunatic's little "maze game" or whatever he wanted to call it. He wanted this bounty and by the Jedi he was going to get it. Intelligence was still working its magic netting him the information he needed on this place. It couldn't be much longer, could it? These tunnels had apparently been here a while before this "Void" guy built this terror complex.

Hi-Sense Enhanced Eyes were good for a great majority of things, such as identifying traps and hidden doors before they were sprung. Hannibal was in no rush, as he had soon deduced that Yusan was too much of a psychopath to do anything but play this ridiculous game. He sat there for several minutes, examining each and every square inch of the corridor splayed out in front of him. With increased resolution and visual magnification available to him, there was very little Hannibal couldn't see. He even switched through several filters just to be sure. He could see it all- the pressure pads, the trap doors, and the near-hidden passage towards the end of the hall. When Hannibal focused, little could escape his mechanical eyes.

He started walking.

Yusan activated several blast doors which blocked the corridor, the second of the three lined with explosives set to detonate upon the slightest tampering. Once done he evacuated this Panic room and entered another maze of tunnels. Once he was a good fifty meters he collapse the panic room under another bomb and sprinted down the corridor to the next Panic room, a good hundred meter sprint before he was inside and he powered up the monitors. From here he should be safe with the only tunnel from Hannibal's direction of entry being blocked off by rubble now plus the chance that the man had blown himself to bits tampering with the blast doors in his way. @[member="Hannibal Oryen"]

@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Hannibal observed as three blast doors slammed shut in front of him. Alright, he hadn't been angry before, but he was now. He didn't have the time or the patience for this nonsense. Three blast doors? Really? Who the hell installed three blast doors in the middle of a corridor? This place must have cost a fortune to build if the countermeasures were this redundant and ridiculous. He wasn't getting around these doors, there was no way. He lacked the firepower and the fusion cutter couldn't handle durasteel that thick. It looked like this was the end of the line.

Unless of course he doubled-back to the panic room Yusan had left operational and accessed the rest of the complex from there.

Yes. He would do that.

Hannibal marched back the way he came, stepping over his fallen droid allies and re-entering the first panic room Yusan had stowed himself away in. The console was already compromised, as Hannibal had sliced it earlier, and the flammable gas that had been present had since dispersed to non-threatening levels thanks to that vacuum vent of Yusan's. This panic room was now Hannibal's. The cyborg interfaced with the console once again. This place had a lot of panic rooms, he soon found out, and a lot of traps. Hannibal's first action was to disable the bomb underneath this panic room, then he went to consult the list of panic rooms.

This was the first one. Hannibal was presently in it, so he was convinced Yusan was not in here with him. That would've been quite the plot twist.

The next one showed as active, but suddenly blinked off when Hannibal felt an explosion. Had Yusan just blown up his second panic room? What was he doing? There was little doubt in Hannibal's mind that he was on his way to the next one down the list, then. The Fondorian had no idea how long it would take him to get there, but he decided that whether or not he was already in there was irrelevant. Hannibal cut the power to the generator that enabled Yusan's current panic room to operate. The screens, just as they were booting up, went blank. Hannibal was not convinced that this was enough.

So he shut down all of the panic rooms. One by one, until only a single room was still active.

His.

Hannibal did not deign it necessary to stop there, either. Just in case there were other panic rooms unlisted, Hannibal systematically shut down power to several large chunks of the facility. Emergency generators and all. There would be no mercy in this dojo. Hannibal initiated a download of the facility's layout, determined to turn the tables in the complete opposite direction. He wasn't standing for this mastermind crap any longer. He was going to pen Yusan up in one corner of the facility and then Hannibal was going to bring the pain.

One small step at a time.

Yusan watched as he went back towards the other direction, completely confused. "What is he... no..." He saw the man access the computer and shot out of the seat, the systems had been designed to connect one after another, of course the consoles themselves couldnt be shut down but he would be able to gain full access to the layout as such was recorded in the newer the consoles got. After all, he wouldn't be able to exactly shut down the older stuff from the newer consoles as Yusan had deliberately left it that way. Still he couldnt trust someone like this now, it was time to evacuate and it was definitely time to seal his past for ever. He opened the master tunnel and headed down it, until he arrived at the very first panic room, this one only held only thing in it and one last chute, but this one chute shot off in five directions. Grabbing what was a master detonator he opened the final chute with a direct access console that was not linked to the system and headed down it, the turbolift bring him down as quickly as possible. If Hannibal was as good as he thought he was he would have had the layout now and ordered his troops to one of the five locations. Those being a cantina, a gambling house, a sewage disposal center, a convenience store, and of course Yusan's destination. A crowded refugee camp that held nearly a few thousand people.

Once he exited the turbolift he darted for the closest open apartment and took cover there, looking through a crack as Sun forces would be in the air any moment. @[member="Hannibal Oryen"]

Aronis contacted command. "This is, Padawan Vilgar, Cyan Seven, requesting permission to launch, over."

"Stand-by." Came the reply. He waited, prepared for launch. "Cyan Seven, You are cleared for takeoff." The voice said over the comm. He pulled on his helmet and pressing a few buttons, the ship surged forward out into space. He would need to link up with the rest of the squadron.

Opened the comm channel, he spoke. "Cyan One, Do you read me? Over." He waited for a response.

As @Daella Apparine pushed the speeder forward Diana readied herself. She sat in the passenger seat with Tyrfing out on her lap. She did not expect to use the blade in this fight, the sword was meant for killing Darksiders and she doubted that the Black Sun had many of those on hire. She frowned slightly however at the memory of Domino and her use of the darkside, that had been something entirely unexpected. She hoped that there would be no more of those surprises.

Because of the speeders nature the three Jedi reached their objective quickly, with their allies following closely behind. Their target was predictably a power station, one that fed energy directly to the Planetary Shields of Nar Shaddaa.

The Speeder flowed quickly through the unyielding traffic, until it finally edged its way to the power station. There Diana immediately perked up her head, she used her eagle like vision to see ahead. Dozens of droids and guards surrounded the power plant, and a slight smirk crossed her dirt smeared face. This would be easy, as Daella had said these were nothing but thugs. They were not trained soldiers, but mercenaries.

The Jedi Knight stood in her seat, placing Tyrfing on her back and drawing one of her dueling sabers. “Stick to the plan.”

Diana repeated to herself as Daella jerked the speeder to the side. At that moment Diana used the full power of the force to jump out of the moving vessel, landing in a quick roll directly in front of the PowerStations door. Quickly she got back on her own two feet, igniting the lightsaber and deflecting half a dozen blaster bolts.

Quickly the Jedi Knight worked her way through the droids, severing their arms and legs and knocking unconscious any living guards she encountered. She was quick, methodical, and merciful.

Sopher rode in the speeder with the two Jedi Knights; he turned over the blaster examining it learning everything there was to know about it. The boy was a quick study, something his original was capable of doing. Looking over towards his master he nodded understanding fully what their mission was, he had grown a little ever since what had happened with the Black Sun. Mostly the boy didn’t understand why the Black Sun didn’t just relax and allow the Republic to help them – what evil did the Black Sun see? Sighing softly, he shoved the toy he had gotten from McYoda’s into the backpack his Master had told him to keep an eye on it.

They continued towards the building, he knew the objectives it would only make sense to where they were going. Slipping his arms into the slots of the backpack, he waited. He had knowledge of defensive force techniques and with the blaster he was prepared. Taking a deep breath, he exhaled slightly and watched the images passing by as they sped towards the building of the shields. He watched as Diana leapt out of the speeder and started to cut down the defense of the Black Sun. Ducking down behind the sides of the Speeder, Sopher fired the blaster providing cover shots for Diana. The boy was a decent shot, he had practiced with blasters before and with the Force on his side he was deadly…

His master moved and with that he jumped over the side of the Speeder and chased in front of Daella and behind Diana shooting like a boss.

POWER PLANT - RANDOM UPPERCITY ALPHA

Once Daella landed the speeder at the power plant, she leaped out of the vehicle. Immediately, Daella drew her lightsaber in her right hand and ignited the yellow blade.

The first mercenary that attempted to stop Daella rushed at her with a vibrosword. Daella quickly parried his blade and stabbed him in the heart. The next mercenary that attacked Daella did so with a blaster rifle. In response, Daella deftly deflected the blaster bolt right back at the mercenary and hit him in the head.

Running next to @[member="Diana Moridena"] with @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] providing support behind them, Daella headed toward the entrance of the plant. More - and surely tougher - mercenaries would have awaited them from within.

Roland exited the building, and activated his commlink. Standard procedure, scramble the transmission, still use Republic channels. Use voice audio distortion software. Simple stuff, really. He broadcasted it directly to @[member="Daella Apparine"] and any other Republic forces in the area."Hostiles have moved civilians into bunkers. Advise that we disengage. Repeat, I advise we disengage."What Roland, wasn't aware of, however, was that he wasn't fully aware of Mr. Ash's capabilities and severely underestimated him in terms of what he could do. Roland was still lightly burnt, but ignored the pain for now. Roland could easily be attacked from behind, due to his current vulnerability, but it might also expose Mr. Ash's position and whereabouts. Roland had no radio'd in his position, or even mentioned anything about Mr. Ash. He didn't need to, he had other things to do. He pressed his commlink again, glancing around the rooftop, and then to the soldiers below.

"We aren't going to look like noble rescuers and preservers of freedoms of peace and free healthcare if we're wading in here and slaughtering people's protectors."He said, taking his hand off his commlink, letting his scrambled transmission fade. Even for the more specialized units, it would mark them as strange, due to the fact that he not only had access to the channels but the way that he seemed to be directly speaking to those in charge, with an underlying tone of an insult or disgust. Roland looked downward, as the bunker doors in the distance closed. He sighed, rubbing his eyes. He hated it when his conscience came into play.

The command control onboard the Remembrance quickly replied to Vexander as he was almost ready to launch.

"Cyan One, this is mission control, new designations have been assigned to several ships, you are in command of Cyan Squadron. Cyan seven just launched and the rest is cleared for take off... over"

The young Jedi smiled as he heard the communication. "Thank you Mission Control... lauching now" the young man punched the comm channel of his newly formed squadron and quickly ordered them "Cyan Squadron this is Cyan One, take off and form on me"

A total of eleven ships left one of the docking bays of the Remembrance and quickly formed up as one unit... due to the special arrangement, the ships were not the same, the Squadron had a diverse setup with X-Wings, ETA-6s, a couple of U-Wings and some R90s. It was a versatile squadron in an emergency situation... one specific ETA-6 quickly hailed Vex and the IFF systems in the ship identified it as a friendly unit with the same designation as the rest of the Squad... everything pointed that it was Cyan Seven who Command said launched earlier; and based on what Vex could feel, he was strong in the Force.

"This is Cyan One. Glad to have all of you drafted for the party..." the young man quickly glanced at the ship's computer and noticed the setup of the Black Sun fleet, but also noticed the Sith fleet who arrived providing support at the criminals... "...seems that we will be hunting darksiders as well. Our mission is to cover the Remembrance at all costs, we need to give time to the guys on the ground for the planetary shield to drop... until then we intercept anything that is thrown at us."

Vex took his ship to the port of the Remembrance and prepared himself "Cyan Seven, I sense you are strong in the Force... Jedi?"

Selena Halcyon paid little attention to the continued comments about the Hutts, and who took the words of a pirate seriously? Clearly few of them understood the point of it. The message was relayed really to anyone who wanted to listen in the system, which of course meant any local Hutts. While Hutts were known for being untrustworthy they were also incredibly arrogant and prideful. They also liked power. Being pushed aside by an outside force like the Black Suns would certainly frustrate more than a few. The beauty of it all was that given their untrustworthiness and their desire for power, many would see this as an opportunity to once again be at the table. In fact, Selena very much predicted that more than a few powerful Hutts would actively betray the Black Suns very soon.

The bridge got crazy as the Black Suns opened up first upon them, using two planetary ion cannons. Ion cannons were useful for defending planets but they were hard to land hits with. A lot went into it really. Planetary rotation, planet orbit, ship movement, ship rotation in the system, and a wealth of other things. One shot went wide, through the fleet. Another almost hit the Calm Wind, but instead slammed into a Stalwart-class Heavy Cruiser. Distance would have mitigated the damage to the Calm Wind, but to the smaller ship it would knock it out for awhile. Thankfully it would take them time to recharge, which was probably the greatest downside of them.

The appearance of the Empire was not surprising either. What was surprising was how little they brought to the field. Yes, they had size but that was not as useful as one would think. This was the downfall of the Sith Empire's mentality when it came to ships. However, they did have a purpose when it came down to it. They were more than useful as symbols. Powerful symbols, which is what the Empire was trying to do by bringing two of its biggest ships in their fleet to the battle. The command was Grand Admiral Joshua DragonFlame's but she looked between the two fleet defending the planet and the Sith fleet.

"We should move to engage the Sith. Hit them while their fleets our split."

(OOC: Tag me next time. Y'all could've at least let me respond.)

Mr. Ash simply let the kid walk away. Hotshot could evade a grenade, he had some training. However, it was obvious who he worked for and why. It was also obvious why it wouldn't help him any. He wasn't paying attention to the camera droids following him. "All available ground forces, the following man is a terrorist conspiring to attack Black Sun interests. Please stop him at all costs," he said, letting his comm-link hit multiple channels.

He sighed focusing on keeping a hovering droid silently tailing the kid. He continued, grabbing the nearest taxi. "They are converging on the power plant. Please send back-up, immediately," he said, calmly. He wasn't going to let this planet be breached by a bunch of half-hearted terrorists. No chance. He sped towards the plant, moving quickly.
