Into the breach..... With the grace of a blind Bantha. (Coruscant RP, Senate)

Dris Negan currently felt like the dumbest Intelligence Operative in the history of galactic espionage. He was walking into the very heart of the enemy's capital with absolutely no back up and a set of obscure orders given to him by a Moff he'd pissed off for not murdering a woman unnecessarily. The only reason he wasn't executed on the spot was because of his absolutely stellar track record.

They'd have been better off to have shot him then.

Dris could still remember the smug face that bastard Moff had as he signed Dris's death warrant. His mission was to recon, infiltrate, and plant a bomb in the office of Vice Chancellor Halen on Coruscant. No backup, no support. It was completely ludicrous.

But Dris had sucked it up, thrown out a yes sir, and went to prepare for his suicide mission. Like he always did. Duty was truly a harsh mistress.

Of late he'd begun to question it. A nagging, gnawing doubt that attached itself to his long held beliefs and began working on them like a parasite. What did it say about his job if he got scolded for refusing to unnecessarily murder? It hadn't been the first time his attempts to retain a semblance of morality had gotten him into trouble.

What did that say about him?

Dris shook off the thought and focused on the extremely difficult task at hand. Fresh faced. Clean suit.

He looked a politician.

Dris whistled as he made his way toward the left wing of the Republic Senate's massive senate building. Dris's .45 suppressed slugthrower dug into his ribs.

Gods save him.

Diana stood within one of the halls of the Senate building, staring blankly out one of the many windows that decorated the ornate walls. She stood with her arms crossed and a look of consternation on her face. She was not quite sure why she had been called here, though she knew it had something to do with the brand new Jedi Fortress on Umbara. It seemed that the Senator of Umbara was not quite pleased with how things were running, and she had been called to explain the actions of the Jedi.

Of course she would explain that she didn't handle any of the running of the fortress, she had simply been in charge of the construction and nothing else. A frown settled on her face, she hated politics.

It was within these very halls that she had confronted the then Emperor, it was almost a homecoming for her at the time. That thought made a smile come to her face, her boldness had been rather ludicrous at the time, though then again Lussks had been even more so. Now any Sith that stepped foot in the senate would be immediately arrested, if not executed. Selena Halcyon and Harkness had brought about many changes in that regard, and Diana loved all of them.

The frown returned to her face as she felt a pressure in the force. The Jedi shook her head slightly and brought her palm to her face. Nausea came over her in waves and she had to lean on window sill to keep from falling over.

She steadied herself, and then looked around the hallway. She saw no one but her eyes grew narrow. Something was wrong.

Flint walked across the Senate building, making sure that everything was going smoothly. The Republic had realized how vulernable their capital was, especially after two individuals just showed up and decided to destroy the Senate and parts of their capital planet. Thus, it wasn't too abnormal now to see Jedi walking by in the Senate, making sure to take care of security concerns. It wasn't a very exciting job, but Flint understood the importance of it and had accepted when given the job to handle this portion of the Senate's security for the day. He didn't anticipate that anything would be going wrong, though.

The Jedi patted his belt to make sure that he had his lightsaber with him. Hopefully he wouldn't have to use it today. Flint then turned a corner to see whom he recognized as his fellow Jedi Knight, @[member="Diana Moridena"]. The female Jedi looked troubled for some reason. Flint gave a nod of greeting to his fellow Jedi as he started walking past. "Everything okay?" he inquired.

Up the staircase to the left, duck right, wave at that guy. The operation seemed to be running pretty smoothly. It seemed a bit odd that there were so many Jedi about though.

Could the Moff really be that corrupt?

Dris shook the thought as he approached two senatorial guards at the end of a secluded hallway. The offices of the Vice Chancellor await.

"Hello gents." Dris said with that oh so unique draw of a politician both secure in his station and power.

"Hello sir, the Vice Chancellor isn't seeing guests at the moment, you'll have to come back after you've set up an appointment." The guard said with a fairly happy tone. Unusual for a guard with such a boring job. Strike two.

"Are you sure?" Dris replied with a confused look

"One hundred perc---" The guard's voice became a choke as a Dris's hand connected with his throat at lightning speed. The other guard had nearly raised his rifle when a fist connected with his eye, violently throwing his head into the durasteel door behind it.

Dris made sure both of the guards were incapacitated before snatching one of their key cards and activating the door. He didn't see the need in killing the guards, especially with the growing likely hood that this was a set up and his tale would end in a Republic tale.

Bastards.

Diana turned to Flint, a Jedi clearly but one she didn't actually recognize. There was a frown on her face as she looked at the man, the unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach grew worse and worse, something was definitely wrong here. It was not the feeling of a powerful Sith, but it was just the force tipping her off that something was going on. Her eyebrow quirked slightly as her mind began to run with thoughts, unsure of what could be going wrong or what could be about to be going wrong.

“I don't know.” Diana finally answered the man as she turned around and began to walk away, she motioned for him to follow her. “But Something is wrong. Lets check on the Chancellor.”

That was her first instinct, to find out if the Chancellor was in the building or not. If Harkness was here than most likely he would be the target, if not then...well she had no idea. There were hundreds of Senators here, and each one of them was important in some way. There was plenty of Motive to kill any one of them.

Nausea filled her stomach.

Flint nodded, then paused for a few seconds as he walked after the female Jedi Knight. He now felt the presence too. It was chilling, the odd out-of-place feeling that let Flint know something or someone was inside the Senate who shouldn't be. Another thing about this possible intruder was that he or she could be potentially Force-sensitive. Flint's hands automatically went to his lightsaber as uneasiness overtook him.

"Actually, you can check on the Chancellor... I'll check on the Vice Chancellor." Flint suggested, turning around and starting to jog back the way he came, towards where the Vice Chancellor's office was located. It would not be a very smart thing to have both Jedi go to the exact same location, especially if the Chancellor turned out not to be the target. His lightsaber hilt in hand, Flint rushed towards the Vice Chancellor's office, leaving Diana to check on the Chancellor. They hadn't been able to pinpoint the exact location, but they both knew that until this possible intruder or assassin of some sort was captured, the Republic's politicians were in danger.

Flint doubted the Republic would be very happy if it's Senate got destroyed again.

Dris entered and locked the Vice Chancellor's office and looked around with a slight admiration. The Vice Chancellor may have most certainly been a corrupt politician, but they had impeccable taste. Dris moved toward the holo terminal that sat atop an extremely expensive looking desk and plugged in his hacking device. As he sat and waited for technology to work it's magic he drew his .45 and placed it on the desk.

Behind him was a large window that gave an overlook to a great view of Coruscant. Various speeders flew past. The city moved.

Dris could only think about how scary it would be leaping out of the damn thing if the Republic came bearing down on him. That's what portable grappling hooks were for though.

Wonderful.

Diana nodded to the other Jedi and then broke out into a run. The other man would cover the Vice Chancellor's office, Diana would check on the chancellor. Luckily both offices weren't far from one another another and the Jedi Knight found her way to the Chancellors office in no time. As soon as she arrived she stopped herself, looking at the two blue attired Senate Guards standing outside the office. Diana looked at them and then spoke.

“Has anyone come through here lately?” Diana asked quite forwardly. The Two guards looked at her for a brief few seconds until she pulled out a small badge that identified her as a Jedi. The men then shook their heads in answer to the question.

The Jedi Knight sighed and then turned on her heel, running back towards the other Jedi. There was still something wrong.

Akodya strode through the halls of the senate with her bonny lips pulled tightly into a harsh line, her cold eyes refusing to drift away from the unoccupied space in front of her. She didn't want her gaze to fall on anyone of the politicians or civilians that made there way in and out of the structure like bees buzzing around the hive. When the padawan was younger, she loathed the senate. Jedi were taught not to hate, but in Akodya's case she couldn't help herself. Corruption and a false sense of self righteousness oozed from every pore of the Senate's assistance, there was nothing but shifting eyes and superficial smiles were plastered on the faces of all senates that resided here. Well, most anyway. But lately the only thing the senate did to Akodya was make her sad. Memories of a certain Senator of Shili surfaced every time her thoughts wondered to the dreaded building. It had been a odd friendship that was destroyed to early by tragedy. The girl briefly touched the slightly faded burn marks that were located on her right arm. The loss had left her more emotionally scarred rather than physically. The minimal evidence of damage now acted as a reminder to the girl. People can hurt you through more than just words and weapons, the absence of them can be just as painful as a slice from a light saber.

A violent chill rushed down the brunette's spine and pulled her back into reality. The pulse had made her back straighten and one eyebrow quirk up in suspicion. She sensed something...a discreet danger was lurking around here. Someone skillful in the art of blending in, as the feeling was very faint, but still out of place. With her fingers instinctively curling around the hilt of her light saber that hung from her belt, she turned the corner and almost ran into someone moving very briskly in her direction. A fellow Jedi followed by another member of the order were also walking the halls, she picked up on their uneasiness...maybe they sensed the same thing she had.

Dipping her head quickly to briefly show her respect her peered at them with hesitant eyes. "You haven't happened to feel anything weird around here have you?" She asked bluntly. Akodya had a bad habit of getting straight to the point instead of easing her way into conversation.

Incapacitated guards were not at all a good sign. Flint hurried past the defeated guards, and slammed his weight against the door ...which was expectedly locked. An infiltrator. This was not at all good. Without a warning, Flint activated his cyan lightsaber, and plunged his blade into the locked door. He created an x-mark on the door within a few seconds, then blew the door apart by sending a Force Push at it.

Inside was an agent of some sort. Possibly affiliated with the Empire. It didn't matter who this man was though, he was under arrest for breaking into the Vice Chancellor's office. "You are under arrest." he said simply as he entered, pointing his lightsaber at the intruder.

The moment the white hot plasma plunged through the heavy door Dris had deftly grabbed the handgun and fired three shots into the window behind him and leapt through the glass in a motion that was way more painful than he'd thought it would be. For the third time he felt a rush of air and the pain of tiny shards of glass brushed across the back of his shoulders and head as he fell. The pain was quickly replaced by adrenaline as the Agent fell quickly toward an unforgiving ground.

As he fell the price of failure stuck in his head. He couldn't return to the Empire. They'd have expected him to die trying to complete the mission when CQB with a Jedi armed only with a handgun would only result in his demise.

What the hell was he going to do?

Akodya was quickly brushed off by the other Jedi as he seemed to know exactly where the source of the disturbance was. The human male threw himself at the door in attempt to open it. It was obviously locked, but he could have tested it by trying the code pad build into the wall. Turning the jedi padawan walked toward the door with a dull look on her face. She was so over people. Activating a brilliant blue saber the other Jedi plunged his weapon into the door. With the quiet sizzling of hot metal the jedi blow the door of it's hinges with a thrust of hand. Peering over the Jedi's shoulder, Akodya's tawny eyes widened. For a split second, she saw a figure throw himself out the window, leaving a trail of glass and

Oh, STANG.

Before Akodya could doubt herself she turned around and bolted away at surprising speed. What kind of desperate nerf herder throws himself out a window in order to escape?! With her robes trailing behind her Akodya skidded around the corner, sharply breathing in and out. She needed to get outside before the bastard made a break for it. Soon enough she made it outside and under the window where she estimated the mystery infiltrator would hit. With a look that could kill her blazing eyes landed on the young man she presumed was the person she was looking for.

Dianan moved through the halls as fast as she possibly could. An alarm went off as the window was broken by blaster fire and Panic shot through Diana. She saw a form fall from the Senate building and immediately she skidded to a stop. The Jedi Knight had no idea who just fell, but if she had to guess it was likely the bad guy. She frowned, and then looked at the window.

With a shrug she surged her palm forward. Immediately a massive force push erupted from her. It struck the glass and shattered it.

The Jedi grinned, and then jumped up onto the windowsill and proceeded to go out the window. She jumped into free fall for a second, using the force to guide herself and eventually land on the top of a transport truck. She tucked her legs beneath her and moved quickly into a roll, landing with a thud. Quickly she stood back and bounded from speeder to speeder until she landed on the ground before the Senate Hall.

She grinned, still had it.

Flint threw a glance at the Jedi Padawan that had been with him, it seemed @[member="Akodya Mune"] didn't feel like jumping out windows today. He was somewhat tempted to follow her, but he decided to go right after the intruder (@[member="Dris Negan"]). "Why do people like you have to make life so hard for me?" Flint muttered as he deactivated his lightsaber, sprinted across the room and jumped through the shattered window and right after the intruder.

Allowing the Force to assist him, Flint was able to somewhat speed up his fall, so that he could catch up to the falling agent. The intruder possibly had an idea on how he would land safely, but Flint was also slightly concerned that the intruder could disappear into a crowd if he let the man get out of his sight. Using the Force, Flint attempted to grab his free-falling target in mid-air. They were about just fifteen to twenty seconds away from hitting the ground.

@[member="Akodya Mune"] @[member="Diana Moridena"] @[member="Flint Dexen"]

Dris grinned as he sped toward the ground with what most would consider an alarming quickness. It was extremely similar to the Free Fall training Dris had went through as an aspiring Agent on Dromund Kaas. That instructor.... Dris felt a tug as if the Jedi was attempting to slow him down with the force, something he'd only experienced once before. He sighed as he shifted his weight about and turned, now facing the over enthusiastic Jedi. Perhaps if Dris had been a lesser trained combatant.

But he wasn't.

The Jedi was almost a dozen meters behind Dris without a weapon out. Horrible move. Dris fired three more well aimed rounds at the Jedi's torso before using his grappling gun to sink it's hooks into a slow moving freighter.

Maybe he'd get away?

Diana stood to her full height, just in time to see a man rushing by holding a blaster while free-falling through the air. She raised an eyebrow suddenly and then shot a glance towards the other man that was chasing the first also flying through the air, she immediately recognized him as the Jedi From earlier and caught onto the current events. She looked at the falling man, now only a few meters past her. She shrugged and then shot up her left arm.

With a grip of the force Diana hooked into the man, and then pulled backwards.

She utilized the effect of Force Pull, hopefully tearing the other man off his feet and sending him flying back to Diana and the pursuing Jedi. It was far simpler for her than chasing after the man, and this way she wouldn't have to make herself tired.

Flint frowned as the man that he was chasing suddenly flipped around in mid-air, before firing shots right at his torso. The Jedi barely had the time to put out his hands to create a small Force Shield just enough to cover his torso from being pierced by those bullets. The reason why Flint didn't choose to have his lightsaber out was simple. And that was because chances were, Flint could've easily ended up slicing passing-by vehicles or accidentally amputate his target.

He saw the red-haired female Jedi from earlier fairly close to him, and saw what she was trying to do. Clever move. First, though, Flint had to take care of the grappling gun that his target had utilized. Taking out his lightsaber for just a second, Flint sliced the line that had connected the man to a moving freighter. He deactivated his blade after the task was done and adjusted his position to catch the free-falling man with the help of his fellow Jedi.

@[member="Flint Dexen"] @[member="Diana Moridena"] @[member="Akodya Mune"]

Or not. Dris felt another tug toward what at a spinning glance appeared to be other Jedi. He cursed as the tension from his grappling gun slacked and he continued his downward spiral toward the Jedi at breakneck speed. Apparently the other Jedi had done something to the rounds. This was going to end badly for him.

Kark spending a lifetime in a Republic jail cell.

Dris fired at the two Jedi and curled into a ball as he braced for what was sure to be a bone shattering impact.

Diana pulled out her lightsaber almost instantly, it was as if it appeared out of absolutely no where. The bright blue sapphire blade ignited and immediately rebounded the blaster bolts, carefully reflecting them into two different trucks so as not to damage anything.

She then leaped from the truck she was on, jumping to the next and then the next, sliding onto truck after truck using the enhanced speed of her rocket boots until she was on the same one that the other man was destined to fall on. Once there Diana created a barrier within the force to soften the mans landing. He would not break any bones, but his fall would still hurt very much.

“Not so fast.” Diana said with a wink and a smirk.

@[member="Diana Moridena"] @[member="Flint Dexen"] @[member="Akodya Mune"]

Stang. Dris tumbled and rolled as he slammed into the ground at a slower speed than he'd originally thought he would've. It still hurt but Dris didn't feel like he'd broken anything. As he laid on the cold steel a thought occurred.

Jail.

Dris sprung up and ran in the other direction. Denying the inevitable an easy victory.
