The Imperial Praetorian Cuirass is the trademark armour of the First Order's Praetorian Guard and Knights, its bright red colour distinguishing it from the otherwise neat designs of the regime. Often worn together with a tabard or cape made of shield-weave, it is both a symbol of First Order strength and unity as well as a well designed piece of armour.
The armour itself is a combination of Gammaplast and Cortosis-Shield, making it highly resistant to conventional weapons but also to lightsabers, here especially the pure cortosis gauntlets which allow its wearer to block a lightsaber with their arms. Additional utility is added through magnetic boots and injectors which can keep the wearer fighting beyond normal capability as well as an exosekeleton which supports the wearers strength. Integrated into the cuirass is a small power generator which powers both the exoskeleton as well as the in-built shield generator.
