Hyperworks and Driveyards (OS Dominion of Rendili)

"Sir, incoming transmission from the Rendili Defense Fleet."

"Patch it through, I want to hear what they have to say." The Sith Lord mused, idly resting his chin on the knuckles of his gloved right hand as he hungrily eyed the viewport in front of him. Already signs of opposition were beginning to appear in the darkness beyond, and the bridge of the Goliath was now in a flurry of activity as fighter squadrons scrambled from their hangs and docks to create a literal swarm around the warship.

"This is Camellia Swift of Rendili. To the Sith, you have one chance. Leave the system, or face our wrath."

That brought forth a tumultuous burst of laughter from the Sith Lord, which was received by uneasy chuckles and coughs from his bridge crew, who were none too familiar with their commander laughing in such a manner, especially during a delicate military operation. The captain of the ship, whom had informed Vornskr of the transmission he just laughed at, cleared his throat and stood rigid before the Sith Lord.

"Shall we respond, milord?"

"Nay, let others respond if they wish. Continue with your orders, captain, and by the day's end we will be drunk on their blood."

The Imperial Captain saluted, and then went about commanding the ship as the blockade tightened against the opposing Rendili forces. Meanwhile, Vornskr thought back on his phrasing moments earlier, and found the word 'drunk' to be very pleasing about now, despite the fact that he was incapable of getting inebriated anymore. Still, it was all about the taste anyways. So, he had one of his lesser servants fetch him his favorite goblet, and fill it to the brim with wine.

Vornskr sipped dark purple wine from a goblet made from the bleached skull of Karin Dorn as the Sith blockade of Rendili thickened.

The control room wasn't far away.

They say that the magic used by the Nightsisters has nothing to do with the Force. It is a separate entity. Or is it? Perhaps in this very instance, with the disappearance of so many, one would come to find out if it is.

There was a disconnection there; but not the same. Familiar as it was unfamiliar. Perhaps once can describe it as more of an in-touch connection?

Was it the spirits? The ancestors? By what manner would what she did now affect the use of spells woven through words and movements. What about the Spirit Ichor?

Here that essence would fluctuate around her -- and as she would step into the control room she would take a moment to pause.

And wonder.

See, the soul of a man consists out of three parts. But it was the part that lend a man consciousness that Akron had been looking for and to a degree he had found just that and perhaps a little more, the names of those parts were unknown to him, but it mattered little in the grand scheme of things.

For the music had sung and the tune had been made clear, the Sith left the corpse of one Benjamin Button, one simple custodian of a relatively unknown warehouse within the folds of streets of Rendili’s capital.

Akron was many things, but foremost he had been the King of Korriban, before things had gone… slightly less good for the Sith Empire. This fact too was irrelevant to a large degree, but it would give insight in the Epicanthix’ steps as he retraced his way back to the warehouse.

There was a treasure to be found.

Hum hummm hmm.’

How exciting.

Monster Cat Redefined
Location: Edge of Rendili's capital
Objective: Pacify forces
Nearby PCs: Dunno
NPCs: Five average-joe Sith troopers

Khan walked slowly through the edge of Rednili's capital, keeping an eye out for any sign of enemy troops. Why had they landed the drop-ship so far out? If they'd landed it closer he could've been downtown destroying the opposition by now... Of course the pilot had had a reason- they were likely to be shot down if they tried to land to close to downtown. But that didn' matter to Khan. Every seocnd he spent making his way to the center of the city was a second wasted, another second of oppurtunity for the other Sith to take Khan Ra's chance... There was no enemy in sight, yet. This was all wasted time.

Location: the city, specfically the building pinning down Venefica's men

As Taeli felled another sniper, she heard the boom of a tank below. Typical, note to self, begin designing vehicles for the Sith when I find out what shape my company is in when I return to Coruscant. But until then . . . she picked up some grenades and a grapple/rappel gun from one of the sniper's bodies and used a small Force Push to get rid of the nearest window. Instead, it detonated the window and wall like a breachign charge.

"Holy kriff," she said, looking at the large hole. "Guess the Force is going to be unpredictable for awhile. Anywho to business."

Firing the rappel gun as she jumped through the hole, she rappelled down to on top of the tank. The crew inside fired another shot at the Sith troopers that were pinned down, but they wouldn't have another chance as her lightsaber ignited and took the turret off before she slid the grenades she had taken from above and slid them down the barrel.

Activating the return feature of the grapple gun, she flew back to the hole as the tank exploded. Not that her landing was pleasant as she scrapped against the wall and sliced a nice cut along her arm. That would need to be disinfected later.

Onwards and upwards, she thought, heading up to the next floor.

"Keep looking." Balaya was moving now, she needed to find a suitable subject for later but these blademasters from rendili were dangerous. Their phrik armor more problematic then she had thought it would be while firing a hand cannon into the chest of the one. She was moving and fighting where needed or sending their creatures. Slowly but carefully making some progress that could have been better as her whip came back drawing in one of the soldiers into the cannons range then blasting him across the room. "Now where is she?" The CEO was a dangerous one for ships and her skills could prove useful depending on what they did. Killing her would eliminate a threat and converting her would bolster their numbers.

A lonesome road would lead him towards one of the warehouses dedicated to Rendili’s leading corporation of the same name. It was a long road, filled with many distractions that one had to ignore if he wished to get that for which he came for. A ponder or two and Akron ignored the drunken man sleeping it off, or the boy gloating at his wonderful steal.

The humming tune kept on rolling as he finally reached the warehouse, it wasn’t a very stylish or noticeably important building, but it was the place he had been looking for nonetheless.

Darth Akron wanted to be sneaky.

The Other said feth that.

A humming vibration, black ball of void came into view between Akron’s fingers.

Oh well. Can’t have everything in life.’

Thanks to the diversion of the fighters he dispatched, Darth Adekos and the majority of his forces were able to land in several locations throughout the capital city of Rendili. A bombing run conducted by the fighters cleared out a main intersection that the enemy security forces had fortified, obliterating the soldiers and equipment hoping to stave off the invasion. It was almost as if they didn't realize this was a meaningless effort. The One Sith could not be stopped. Well, eventually they could be stopped, but not at the present time.

His droids mopped up the few opposing soldiers still determined to make a stand. The Talos Series knew no mercy, and quickly removed any straggling soldiers from the area. Come to think of it, this was the first major engagement the Talos Series would be present for. Hopefully it all went well. Flanked by heavy walkers from the Mehrunes Series, Adekos' forces cut a bloody swath through the outmatched Rendili militias, routing and destroying entire units with little pause. At the center was Darth Adekos, lazily swatting away any laser bolts that came near him. Curved hilts and Makashi rarely allowed a person to do that, but Adekos had since adjusted his grip to his new blade and still utilized Soresu effectively enough.

The government center would be in sight soon. Then he would deal with the Arch-Province.

Khallesh crouched on her haunches, watching the movement of the soldiers below. In an underpass they had set down several vehicles, including several with communications equipment. This simply had to be a forward headquarters for the defences. She stepped back from the edge of the road, and knelt down behind an abandoned airspeeder out of sight.

The roads were nearly devoid of civilians now. Where the Sith forces were marching on strategic targets, mainly defense force barracks and key sites, the civilians had clearly dispersed quickly. She made the call over her villip, calling for a targeted strike.

The response came back negative. There was no air support able to hit the location and nothing able to fire over the nearby buildings and hit the site. An intelligently chosen location on the part of the enemy, it seemed. Well, there was something to do about this. She pulled out a second villip, this one synchronised with the other Hunters scouting the area and called for backup. Such an obvious target could not be left alone to flee when the Sith Forces inevitably overran the front lines.

Objective: Pacify Rendili forces.

Dispatching the defensive force was even easier than she'd anticipated. Granted they had the full destructive power of the troops they'd brought with them close at hand but she hadn't even felt enough concern to consider them. Between the wide swath Vrag cut with the flamethrower and Matsu's work on the ground the sixteen sent to stop them fell quickly, leaving them open once more to continue on their path.

The Subcommander's information filtered through her link and she looked up to Vrag as the information got to her at presumably the same time, raising an eyebrow. It was possible Rendili forces had been able to move the arch-provost when word of the Sith forces reached them but also unlikely - it would be safer to hold a solid defensive position within a building they knew well, all entrance points and escape routes accounted for.

Their troops were off causing distraction, capturing those that would submit quietly and subduing those that would not, but they'd only gotten a minute or so's head-start. Patching through, she called to reroute them while she moved to meet up with Vrag, directing them to the position Subcommander Khallesh had indicated - she'd have her back-up to take out that mobile headquarters within minutes.

"Where were we?" she asked, looking around the at streets nearly completely devoid of civilians at this point - less unlikely considering half the population had disappeared, but still telling. She used the Force sparingly, shielding herself and Vrag as they moved towards Government Center.

As one would reasonably expect, the closer Darth Adekos and his mechanical horde got to the government center, the more profound resistance became. Not in terms of quality, obviously. The more ground the One Sith claimed, the more desperate looking the soldiers arrayed before Adekos became. Their armor and weapons became more irregular, eventually devolving into little more than masses of armed civilians taking a few potshots at him and his droids before being overcome with terror and fleeing. They would have been better off not fighting at all, as those who didn't drop their scavenged weapons during their flight were still identified as combatants by the Talos droids and Mehrunes Walkers that journeyed with him. They were gunned down with little effort.

A tank rumbled forward, preparing to take aim, only to explode upon being impacted by several missiles launched from an M2 Heavy Walker. It was a shame Rendili didn't have any Hegemonic Automaton droids to defend them. Then maybe they would have stood a chance. One TA2, a lumbering beast of a machine, easily absorbed concentrated fire from an entire squad of Rendili Security Forces as they tried to hold back the automated tide. It was no use. Their fire reflected uselessly off of the droid's energy shield before the TA2 grew bored of playing with its food and dispatched them all with a single, well placed grenade.

Meanwhile, the much more numerous TA1 Droids were making equally quick work of the Rendili forces arrayed against them. Casualties were sustained, as to be expected, but these were no ordinary droids. The TA1s moved with a ruthless, synchronized efficiency. The Rendilians still fighting had long had their spirits broken by their sorry situation. Droids, however, had no spirits to break. It took several shots from the Rendili's lackluster P-7 carbine to overcome the TA1's armor and knock the droid out of commission. Unless they aimed for the head, but these poor, unfortunate souls didn't have the time or the mettle to make such shots.

Once again she'd been allowed through, perhaps because of her civilian ship - or maybe because her identity as a Sith Lord was kept a well-guarded secret from her public life as the CEO of Laravan Corporation, a company known to provide vehicles and such to anyone interested, generally more than just the Sith. Quietly her shuttle had landed at the escorted landing zone, likely by some sort of headquarters for the company that practically owned every square centimeter of the planet, and was escorted in on her small hoverchair, bandages and all. There wasn't much of a need for such security precautions against her, there will little information on her publicly as it were and with her very visible, very real, injuries one could assume she would be unable of performing even the slightest of physical feats - and the chaotic resonance, or lack thereof, ensured that the force would remain practically unusable for both herself and any force users in the galaxy at large.

To be quite brutally honest, the building she was brought into to meet the woman in charge was less than glamorous - [member="Alric Kuhn"]'s office was in much better shape than the entire building appeared to be, though she chalked that up to something more than factual. She was not one to complain, however, especially not when the woman could have the two men who followed her in execute her at a moment's notice, as helpless and disabled as she was, only capable of moving by directing the small craft with a little joystick beneath her right hand, her only hand. "Good evening, Miss Swift." Silara said with as much of a smile as she could muster, though the bandages that covered the left side of her lips, cheeks, and eye made that more difficult than normal. "I was hoping I could speak with you about guaranteed safety for your company and all civilian life that remains on Rendili." She continued, not pausing as she was directed into the room that was presumably a safe room. "Direct your troops and fleet to back down and the One Sith will provide aid in these troubled times, times in which the Republic has turned its back on its most loyal worlds. Kuat has already joined the One Sith in this endeavor, I would like to see that Rendili would do the same and avoid increased casualties of assaulting an otherwise friendly force." The auburn-haired woman explained, mustering as much of a painful smile as she could.

The speeders and troops were but a bump in the road for the two Sith, and Vrag quickly made her way back to the ground once the enemy was toast. Mid-descent, her comlink crackled in her ear, the slightly choppy voice informing her of the enemy movements deeper in the city.

She hopped down from the ladder and relayed the vital information to the advancing troops. Together with the intel they had collected upon their arrival and the constant updates from scouts like [member="Khallesh"], the forces were making their progress quite unhindered, either bypassing or flanking the enemy barricades and sniper nests. Keeping off the main roads meant that larger defense measures — tanks and the like — would be unable to follow them, further complicating the issue for the Rendili protectors.

The perfect distraction.

She fell in step with the smaller woman as they moved towards their target, her eyes scrutinizing their surroundings despite the constant updates from their soldiers. It wouldn't do to be caught in an ambush simply because she relaxed her guard in the middle of enemy territory. She cradled the flamethrower gently to her chest, more than ready to direct that searing fire at whoever would attempt to intercept them.

"Making them beg for our mercy, I believe," she quipped back and started moving faster as the unreliable cloak spread forth from Iron Maiden. It was doubtful how long it would last, and Vrag was determined to make the most of it; in order to do so, however, she had to move at the greatest possible speed. Throwing caution to the wind, the woman stopped for a moment and hoisted up her smaller companion, lifting her onto her back without much effort.

Before the petite woman could complain, Vrag broke into a sprint, making a beeline for the Government Center. They would break the resistance from the top down, forcing the enemy on their knees. Such was the way of the Sith.

The Baroness had rather hoped that much of what was to happen could have been done a bit more diplomatically, or that the command of the Republic forces could have been smart enough to realize that she was better off evacuating as many as she could and saving her forces by returning to Republic space, than remain behind. With a heavy sigh the Baroness lamented the fact that such a gifted person would be so foolish to throw their life away for a corrupt government that had more or less crumbled under its own weight, even going so far as having lost their guardians in the Jedi whom themselves had broken into several sects spread across the galaxy. Their fate was one to be dealt with in another day.
With a small smirk, the Baroness boarded her personal shuttle, the squad of Fenrir Guardsmen stood and saluted before resuming their seats as the Baroness took her own. The Nexu taking its place at her side as she began to run her hand along its head. That small smirk grew into a slight grin as the shuttle lifted from the hanger bay, two 357 series Intersystem Interceptors set off with the shuttle providing it an escort, with the remainder of the squadron on standby should the shuttle be engaged.
The Baroness though knew that her pilots were smart enough to keep the shuttle away from the primary fleet engagement and well away from any enemy starfighters. Setting down on planetside though would be a different endeavor in itself, considering all the chaos that was currently reigning on the planet below.

Everything was a mess.

Camellia found herself frowning heavily at the reports coming in planetside. Not to mentione the communication from the new Sith fleet apearing on the other side of the planet. Already there were calls for reinforcement as several Firestar class defense stations came under fire, the defense platforms meant to deter starfighters and dropships not properly equipped to deal with the range and firepower of the Sith destroyers brought to bear on them. The Rendili fleet had concentrated on the One Sith's forces arrayed ahead of them, and to be fair the Rendili woman had expected the enemy to acquire reinforcements. However, the Home Defense Fleet had prepared for a head on battle, she should have known the cowardly Sith wouldn't try to engage the fleet near the station directly. The new fleet was late to arrive, but they were in a good position for attack.

Still, considering the shape of the enemy fleet in front of her, Camellia hurried to check the calculations before she made a decision. The Noblesse and the Hammerheads would be more than enough to challenge the Sith's main fleet with the Immortal with the shipyard station's own defense guns lent to their aid. Thus as the frigates of the Home Defense Fleet took a new position with the lead destroyer, the Impregnable and Dreadnought class heavy cruisers would begin to make their way around the planet to engage the new Sith fleet that appeared in orbit as well. Camellia knew they wouldn't arrive to prevent some level of destruction, the lumbering cruisers were as slow as destroyers, but they were just as well, if not better, armored and shielded. Not to mention they were definitely well armed. With the aid of the few bomber squadrons available and three squadrons of fighter support hopefully that would be enough to clear out the enemy positioned there.

Groundside though things seemed much more dire. . . . .the Sith, by the time the Heavy Cruisers made their way around the curve of the planet's orbit, had already made a big enough whole in the station defense grid to begin a mass invasion deployment. Of course there was typical AA defenses around something such as the capital, but five destroyers worth of landing craft were certainly more than ample to saturate the area thoroughly. As soon as the reports of them came through and word of the fighters and bombers supporting the Sith dropships also were made known, the Defense Force didn't hesitate to deploy a full five squadrons of interceptors to achieve air superiority over the capital once more. The faster and swifter craft more than capable of taking out the bombers and better suited to atmosphere than slower fighters the Sith might have defending them.

Of course that didn't change the fact damage would already be done in the Sith's first pass on the planet. By this point though, Camellia would leave the command center as she had Silara Vantai escorted by a pair of Rendili Commandos who met her in the hanger and brought to a conference room so that they could speak, entrusting the officers still in the control room to continue their efforts of resistance. The crippled woman in the wheelchair wasn't what the Rendili woman was expecting though, nonetheless negotiations here were necessary and she wasn't about to let sympathy for someone injured get in the way of ensuring her homeworld stayed free and safe. "I'm afraid you have me at a bit of a disadvantage considering the Sith have already attacked several stations on the otherside of the planet and have forces pushing on the Arch-Provost's government office as we speak. However, I feel as though the Sith don't understand our desire to remain neutral now. Its like you say, the Republic turned its back on us in the face of the turmoil consuming the galaxy. We'd rather take care of ourselves though and not be the Sith's enemy nor ally. If that's an option I'm more than happy to steer towards it, but as it stand the Sith fleet will be repelled as I doubt they can take this station and defeat the fleet, not if they want these shipyards intact. And I'm already willing to collapse the Phrik mines as well and bury them. I know the Sith want these resources so I know my people have hands to play still."

Some of which were already being put into motion as the groundside operations continued to play out. The Sith were driving into the city, the capital slowly falling as the massive hordes of droids and walkers began surging towards the Government Center. The Security Forces deployed in a scattered formation throughout the city could not stem the tide, but they weren't done. The armed civilians and rabble that the Sith droid army encountered as they pushed deeper and deeper in were the rioters that plagued the city, while of course the Rendili forces wouldn't be pleased at the slaughter of their citizens, it was an issue that they no longer had to be concerned with, and it bought them precious time.

Time for them to reform their positions. Security personnel with their P-7 Carbines and some even carrying Plex Launchers would climb into buildings along the streets lining the way between the Sith advance and the government center. These would act as snipers and target the enemy vehicles with the plex launchers and the weakpoints of the droids as reported by the troopers on the ground. Soldiers and armor units around the city were mobilizing to fight back, forming barricades and fortifications in the last few intersections before the government center. Tanks grouped in pairs or units of four in clusters waiting to target the enemy walkers. Teams within the government center itself consisted of the commando units in their phrik armor, guarding the entrance lobby, roof, and floors around the Arch-Provost office. Those that had been riding in the RAETs looking for trouble spots were gathered there now, which left the gunships free to begin sweeps against the Sith walkers advance along with the battle tanks, their composite beam turrets and missile launchers undoubtedly to be a threat.

The units that were deployed against [member="Darth Venefica"] [member="Matsu Xiangu"] [member="Vrag"] [member="Darth Arcanix"] and [member="Khallesh"] would no longer be reinforced. Which considering the destruction of the tank in a rather flashy fashion by the Sith woman on the rappel line and the systematic elimination of the sniper teams by the roaming Vong woman and Sith Knight, was not a good sign. Nevertheless, the security forces would fight on, trying to keep the enemy forces pinned while diverting a few of their squads up into the buildings the Snipers occupied to give them a brief defense against the murderers hunting them down. Other Sith entering the city by this point would go unnoticed for a while. The skies filled with the dog fights of interceptors and bombers while the Rendili Defense Force gathered a main opposition against the Sith advance ahead of the government building and those deployed against the first scout teams struggled to maintain their position.

"What sort of honesty can I get from the Sith when their first response was to launch sneak attacks when warned against aggression. Tell me this Lady Vantai because all I wish to see is my homeworld safe from destruction and oppression and the Sith don't have a track record for either. Once the skies are cleared of the Sith bombers the Arch-Provost will be evacuated up here until their ground forces are driven back. Maybe after they're beaten back they can act more civilized and they know they can't breach this station so easily to get at him again so they'll give agreeable terms then, but for now I don't see the outcome being favorable as opposed to the resistance being offered up right now."

Scout Rendili (Info About Disappearances)

- Defeat Defenders

A clean sweep through the first two buildings along the way toward the intersection had seen the deaths of both snipers, giving her troops on the ground the chance to advance forward and engage the enemy head on. The main concern now was how to stop the tank and those speeder bikes, now waiting for the chance to get involved. And locate and eliminate the remaining, if any, snipers in the two other buildings. "Loop around through that last building and try to get into those two and kill any snipers in there...then take up their positions and fire down into the enemy's position. Take three of your comrades with you. We'll deal with the tank and speeders...somehow." The troopers left and she was standing there contemplating a strategy that would not get her killed while her troops returned shots with the enemy.

Testing the Force slightly, she saw a pattern form. Now she would have to time her next moves carefully or she will be in some serious trouble. Knowing the tank was hampered by its mobility and unable to fire without doing damage to its own buildings, that left the speeders to be dealt with first. Resorting to her favourite tactic, mind dominance, she quickly plucked one of the soldier's minds who was straddling his bike and turned his will to hers. Acting fast, he forced him to open fire on his own troops in front of him, spurring his comrades to leap from their bikes and drag him off his.

Now she gave the order for them to advance quickly down the street, firing all the way to keep the enemy from mounting a counter strike. "You six...aim for those bikes and destroy them!" When they began firing at the bikes, she charged down the street weaving through blaster fire and never taking her eyes off the tank even after it fired a round that hit some of her men. Again using the Force, she gripped the tank's barrel and turned it to the left just as it fired again, this time hitting the building next to it and bringing durasteel and concrete on top of it and the enemy soldiers.

The Force began to wane once again just as she flew pass the enemy soldiers, now trying to recover from the fallen debris, the explosions from the bikes, and the Sith's troops blaster shots. She jumped on the tank and with a quick slash, severed the tank's barrel and rolled a thermal grenade down the ruined pipe. Wasting no time, she jumped from the tank taking cover behind the barricade she recently jumped over to get to the tank, and smiled as the tank exploded. The enemy had been routed!

Khan and the five troopers moved steadily towards the center of the city, searching for any opposition. Strangely enough; there was none. Even with the sudden attack from the Sith and the disappearances he expected to see some defenders... A sniper on a roof, or an assault squad. Nothing . Little did he know, of course, that this was due to the fact that other Sith had already cleared the stragglers- and that the remaining defenders were rallying at the govermental building already. Khan was hoping he'd be the first Sith there, prehaps take the building himself... Though chances were it would be aken long before he even got there.

(Still en route to the governmental building, unaware that the Sith are massacring the defenders already)

The woman's resolve was simple, natural even. Anyone in the head of Rendili's position would likely feel caged, cornered, like an animal - but that was exactly what the Sith Lord wished to happen. This was no mere assault on a shipyard, the mines held little value to her - the shipyards themselves did as well - but the woman who sat in front of her was more valuable than she would ever know. Rather than argue or go off on some tirade of angst and frustration, withholding the urge to attempt a complex use of the force in order to control the troops in the room and turn the tables - an act that would spell disaster with how chaotic the force had been behaving as of late, Silara instead clicked a small green button beneath her only hand, directly to the left of the small joystick she used to control her hovering wheelchair. "I am very aware of your stance on things, Madame Swift." She replied softly, not once breaking character from her cookie-cutter Realtor-like attitude and manner of speech, something she'd practiced in the mirror on the trip there with grand results. "While it would be in both of our best interests that you hear me out, I will instead transfer the negotiations over to someone who is a bit more suitable to long talks than I am, due to my current, uhm, situation." Silara explained, almost gesturing to herself as she brought up her heavily wounded state - one which she sustained during an explosion. As she spoke a small flick of blue light illuminated from the base of the hoverchair where her feet were segregated from each other to the table top's edge in front of her.

"I will be connecting our conversation with the Corporate Executive Officer of Kuhn Consolidated, a personal and professional friend of mine. I feel he may be able to communicate what I wish in a better manner." She continued, the blue light at the desk changing shape from a small faded army-blue typical of most holoprojectors to one that displayed a full-color, higher-end, visual display of what would be someone's face. Rather it displayed a patch of wall as she patiently awaited [member="Alric Kuhn"] to answer the call. After several seconds went by and the call connection was established, the expectation of meeting a secretary or something of the sort - though oddly not the same woman she'd been escorted by to Alric's office in the past - was met with a prompt set of words. "This is Silara Vantai, I have met with Mister Serin in the past during a business conference." She stated before the woman was able to let any words out, rather keen on avoiding much conversation at this point. "Mister Serin is known to meet a great many people, may I ask if you have an appointment to spe-" The woman began, her voice annoyed with a typical eye roll of the too-young, too-cute, red-head variety. The most hated kind in her world. "Connect me with him or you'll find yourself without a job. If you need further verification, check with him yourself." Silara interrupted with a grumble, not having expected such hurtles to cross. Perhaps she'd have a word with Alric after her surgery tomorrow.

A few seconds later the scruffy handsome face of Alric Kuhn appeared, wearing what could only be called child-like smirk. It was the kind of smirk that one expected from a man who had just been kissed by a beautiful girl, the kind of smirk that a man wore for days on after.

If a holo-image could be said to saunter seductively, to exude desire and charisma, it would have been this one at that very moment. Alric Kuhn looked not at all off put or even worried about the state of Silara, perhaps he had already known about it, or perhaps he simply didn't care, yet his face carried that confident smirk, his back was upright and straight, and if it hadn't been for the billions of miles between them one could have said it was his intention to sweep her out of her seat.

“Hello Beaaau-” He suddenly cut off as he realized they were not alone, but rather in what appeared to be an office of some sort.

The hologram turned around, spotting the other woman in the room. His eyebrows raised in surprise, and then turned back to Silara, narrowing his gaze. To say that Alric was slightly confused would be an understatement. He was of course aware of the One Sith were currently undertaking on Rendili, but it had not been his plan to partake in it, nor had it been his plan to aid in the negotiations.

It seemed however that Silara had other plans.

A loud noise escaped his throat, Alric clearing his Throat as he suddenly stood up straighter and seemed to lose the smirk painted across his face. He gave each of the women in the room a quick bow, then spoke in a far more official and less musical tone than earlier. “Good evening Lady Vitium. How can I assist you today?”

If there was a way for a lady to lose her composure in the shortest amount of time possible, it was the sudden realization of what she'd forgotten to with the simultaneous embarrassment by [member="Alric Kuhn"]. She was more than capable of allowing herself to be publicly slighted with affection - she did find the man irresistible, after all - but the slipping of her Sith title was a bit too close for comfort for her - especially when she was practically surrounded by armed guards that would not think twice about shooting her on the spot. She, of course, paled at his corrective statement, her visible eye widening a bit at the visual of the man. "Why hello, Mister Serin." She replied behind a clenched jaw. It was her habit with him when upset, setting her jaw slightly and giving a dagger-like glare - although it was normally a personal thing, one which was normally made up for later on in the evening. "It's miss Vantai, I was hoping I could have you speak with Miss Swift about Rendili and a peaceful assimilation with the One Sith and their partners in business." Silara explained, stressing her surname as if to allude to being given a mistaken name - certainly as the owner of a mere two-branch corporation that she was beneath the corporate giant, regardless of their private life. She smiled with a light, and unintentional, blush, however, as she realized how courteous he was being - she would have flipped her lid if she had answered in the shower or done something equally as humiliating in a conference call unexpectedly. Regardless, this was a matter of utmost importance to her position as a Voice and for securing a possible addition to the One Sith's fleet roster, now that Kuat was on-board.
