Hyperworks and Driveyards (OS Dominion of Rendili)

The Right Hand broke from hyperspace, the Immortal casting it's own ominous shadow upon the planet. Upon the helm, upon his throne, Reverance sat as the Hand of the Dark Lord, the Hammer of the One Sith. He had been tasked with numerous things upon taking of his mantle, of being required by the Dark Lord to do his bidding. One of these things was expanding his empire, often with fiery and destructive resolve.

This universe was echoing in soft banter, words of divided lands and worlds lost. The silence screeched across the nothingness, deafening and blinding. So many were gone, up and disappeared, while so many were left behind. However, it's not the One Sith policy to let things go to waste. When the fruit is ripe and willing, the One Sith would hardly sit idly by and wait for it to fall. No, that's the actions for the indifferent and the reactive.

The communications clicked on as Reverance communicated to his correspondence upon the bridge. The space was vast and he was tired, yelling not his most apt position. To those One Sith forces in proximity, they would hear the raspy and anger ridden voice of the Hand of the Dark Lord, across heavily encrypted sound waves. These were not polite suggestions, but commands, as if spoken by the presence of the Dark Lord himself.

::Send scouts out. I want this planet and planets in the near vicinity...including Corellia, to be included in the scanner range. Get me GEOINTEL, get me information about the recent disappearances. While we do that, blockade the planet.:: He paused and sighed. ::As for the forces of Rendili...pacify them.::

With that, the communication cut off, and drones began their work. Sensors cut on and scanners began to emit beams of imperceptible energy upon the planet, soon to be held within the clutching grip of the One Sith.

Objectives:
1. Blockade the System of Rendili
2. Send stealth scouts into Rendili and towards Corellia to investigate disappearances of people -- as well as to get the layout of the area.
3. Pacify with Rendili Forces.

Send stealth scouts into Rendili and towards Corellia to investigate disappearances of people -- as well as to get the layout of the area.

Illusion was her forte.

More so when one could simply slip into a planet in the wake of the chaos of millions disappearing. Things were too chaotic. In this, Revy was able to serve the One Sith well.

She was hidden under the use of spirit ichor, a substance that would make her invisible from sight. Traveling as a single person already as a scout for the One Sith Empire on planet gave her a notable edge.

Things were shifting; changing.

What had happened? Who knew.

Her purpose, however, was to get as much information about what was going on right now.

Khan Ra

Monster Cat Redefined
Khan stood inside one of the ships following The Right Hand, watching out a large viewport much as he had before landing on Kashyyyk. The galaxy was confused, in turmoil, billions dissipearing. Why? Khan did not care. It was an oppurtunity for the Sith, and therefore another oppurtunity for himself. Kashyyk was a failure; his chances for glory and recognition were destroyed. Here would be different. He would find somehting to show his worth... But he would be useless in blockading the system- he had no ship. Likewise, stealth was not his forte. So instead the acolyte stood with a new vibroblade clutched in his left hand, waiting to assist in the third objective. This time he wouldn't fail.

Scout Rendili (Find evidence of Disappearances)

Her shuttle landed alittle more rocky than she expected on the planet of Rendili, a planet she had never tread the surface before. The backdoor opened and the ramp stretched out to the planet's surface, and the Dagobah Sith shot out like a cannon ready to disperse any of the opposing forces as quickly as she could muster, followed by her troops, Nightshade Squadron. "This planet will be ours...kill any that oppose us!" To her disappointment, there was nothing. Not a single soul waiting for them. Odd. "Spread out and begin searching every structure."

Linking her mind to her Apprentices, she whispered into the Miraluka's mind, "Change of plans....you will accompany me." Turning her attention to a building with an eerie green glow surrounding it, wondering what could be the cause of that phenomenon. Slowly she led her Apprentice toward the building never allowing her eyes to drift from the highlighted structure. There was something wrong here. Something unnatural occurring.

Pacify with Rendili Forces.

She would have fit in scouting, scrambling minds to let stealth operatives for the One Sith get farther in to Rendili territory undetected. But she had every faith they would be just fine on their own - there was something about the Firrerreo's company that brought out the urge to be a little more direct in her goals. And all the times they'd worked together they'd been separated, pulled in two different directions by the heat of battle - securing a common goal of course, but not working perfectly in tandem.

No, this time they'd see what they could accomplish teamed up.

It was as she turned her head to the much taller woman, seeing if she was ready to go, that she realized she still hadn't come up with a sufficient nickname to make up for the lack of a real name. "You heard the man - let's...pacify." Of course, they would try to keep things as quiet as possible. There was no sense in destroying anything they didn't absolutely have to - it just meant more work down the road for the One Sith.

The dropship holding the Sith and assorted forces descended from the Right Hand smoothly towards the surface of Rendili.

Objective: Pacify the Rendili Forces

She'd vented most of her trauma over the whole mass exodus while making bacon on Kuat, and it was with a much lighter heart that the Sith now looked upon the approaching world. They had just dropped out of hyperspace, and she was alight with excitement at the prospect of pacifying the planet below.

In her experience, the process was always an entertaining one, and inevitably there would be people that needed more pacifying than others. It was where a gentle woman's touch would be needed, and to make absolutely sure nothing precious got broken, the order had sent not one, but two ladies to deal with the hopefully rational resistance.

Her smile was wide, her eyes sparkling with mirth as she took her place beside the much smaller woman in the dropship, smirking down at the mass murderess. She waggled her eyebrows suggestively and swung around the flamethrower strapped across her back, showing off the sleek, brand-new weapon to the Sith Lord.

"Yes. Let's," said the Knight, her blue gaze speaking of anything but. The Sith were a resourceful bunch, that much she'd learned in her time with the order. With any luck, she'd find an excuse or twenty to test out that chromed beauty. It would be a crime, letting it go unused on a trip that just dripped with opportunities.

Their descent was uneventful and short, and soon enough, the pair found themselves on the surface with a contingent of soldiers behind them.

"Ladies first," offered the firrerreo and gestured forth with an open palm as her smile disappeared behind her retracting visor.

Alongside the Right Hand was the Imperial Warship, Goliath, it's weapon systems primed and ready as it groaned through the darkness of space to assume a holding pattern near the leading vessel, and shortly after the others vessels of the Imperial Battlegroup mimic'd their movements. At the helm of the hulking warship was one of the Dark Lord's trusted servants, a Voice of the Dark Lord, and a mighty warlord and Emperor in his own right within the galaxy. Darth Vornskr lazily eyed the expanse of space between his ship and the brown, green, and blue world of Rendili and the shipyards that surrounded it. With the sudden loss of billions across the galaxy, the One Sith have taken the advantage and began pressing a whole new campaign within the Core, acting on the confusion felt by their enemies. Rendili was one of the most valuable targets on the Sith's wishlist, and they had moved with all haste to secure it before the Republic or the natives could recover from the rapture.

So far, everything seemed to be going as planned. The fleet was in position over the planet and had begun to tighten the noose of their blockade, and as the Right Hand began to dispatch scout forces not only to investigate Rendili, but also the surrounding systems, so too did Vornskr give his own orders.

"Launch scouting vessels. Assemble the soldiers and prepare for deployment on the planet's surface, but do not move them from the ship until we have received the all clear. I do not want to do anything until our blockade is absolute."

Pacify with Rendili Forces

Velda, certainly curious as to the nature of what she believed must be some sort of Rapture, elected to be a part of the deployment for the newly sparked Rendili Dominion, even while being one of the One Sith's newest members Velda could appreciate the importance of the world and why the One Sith clamored to claim the planet as our own.

Velda's drop ship fell into Rendili's atmosphere, a new experience for the Corellian royal while atmospheric entry became bumpy. Irksome to be sure, but it was only just temporary, as her drop ship touched down on Rendili's surface.

The ramp lowered and she walked out her saber springing to life as she departed the ramp. And scanning the area...no one, very little in the way of people...just like all the others, or so it seemed.

Secure the area...don't fire until fired upon...” She told the soldiers…

____________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Sith had arrived.

Well since the Republic had cut much of its communication and the Naval and Army stations were stripped and abandoned as the Galactic Government lost control over some planets in the face of whatever had occurred. People had disappeared all over the place, even on Rendili there were people who had simply just. . . .vanished. However, the disappearances, while disconcerting, were not at the forefront of Camellia's mind right now. It was that the Sith had come. They were always sure to arrive eventually once the Republic's main forces pulled back from the Inner Rim and Core worlds in favor of defending the eastern Mid Rim. In all truth, the Rendili woman was baffled by the Republic's decision to forego their defenses of integral worlds such as Kuat and her own homeworld of Rendili. Both were prosperous and well kept worlds, sporting key defenses.

Not only that, but between the two worlds, their renown shipwrights supplied the Republic with over half of its naval might.

For the Republic to forsake them, it left the Rendili woman with a bad taste in her mouth. Now the Sith were here, the Republic's missing presence making them bold. Still, Camellia had been expecting it ever since whatever happened had occurred to put everything into the chaos it was in now. Even as the Republic pulled away, those from Rendili she called out to, and those she had favors with or who she had under her command she had managed to convince to stay and rally a defense at her homeworld. Sitting above the planet's orbit focusing a defense around the shipyards was a fleet that combined the planetary Home Defense Fleet with that of Rendili Stardrive's private security and a number of Republic dissenters who selected out of duty or loyalty to their homeworld to defend it.

The Fleet was arranged in a wedge in front of the massive station that constructed Rendili's proud ships. At the forefront was the vessel that Camellia Swift herself had arranged, a Noblesse class destroyer, one she captained within the Republic Navy. All other existing Noblesse Destroyers still resided within the Republic, but this one Camellia did not bring back to the Republic as it abandoned Rendili, she was making her stand here and she was giving it everything she had. The deadly destroyer was flanked on both sides by a pair of heavy cruisers, of the new Impregnable class to be precise, each of those surrounded by Dreadnought class cruisers. Around those all, ten smaller frigates, Hammerhead Cruiser class, sat by as defense as well. All aimed to engage the Sith fleet, and keep them from approaching the station.

The Sith were already landing their ground forces, in small clusters at least. Small and swift scout vessels quick enough to get through the gaps between the Firestar Defense Stations scattered around the planet's orbit meant to deter mass invasion deployments before the Defense Fleet's fighter patrols could get by to fill them. Kuat had already fallen, word had spread quickly through the Inner Rim and Camellia was not slow to have reacted to it. Still, the Sith were coming far quicker than she anticipated. The forces groundside were not as quickly mustered as those in space. For the Sith to claim a victory over Rendili they would need to do three things for sure. Crush the Defense Fleet, capture the Shipyards in orbit, and either kill or secure the Arch-Provost in the capital who ruled over the planet.

The city itself was in a flurry knowing it would be the target of the Sith's attack. Rendili's planetary security forces, equipped in their combat armor and toting their P-7 Carbines, began to deploy across the city. Several on speeders began their patrols to search for the Sith forces who already arrived, while main squads operated to evacuate civilians and take up positions at major intersections. Even tanks were being pulled out from the security forces bunkers, guided to take up key defense points near the government center, the Rendili Naval Academy, and the Planetary Defense Forces Headquarters. Even the Commandos were called out, resplendent in their own phrik armor, a material which was rare yet thrived on Rendili. Teams of which were loaded into RAET dropships ready to deploy in trouble spots when a Sith Lord would be detected. Several Squads of such commandos were also guarding the government building and defense headquarters, to protect local security communications and the Arch-Provost from a Sith attack.

There were even several such commandos aboard the shipyards as well. Protecting the command center that Camellia herself stood in the center of as she tried to coordinate her homeworld's resistance against the Sith menace. The station itself bore its own defenses, bulkhead doors to be sealed and automated defenses were tricks up her sleeves to support the security teams roaming the station and stationed in the docking bays and hangers where the Sith might emerge once they pushed past the Fleet. Outside the viewport of the station's command center, the Rendili woman watched as a Rendili Starfighter and one of the Honorable class sped by as they moved to join the defensive positions. Those alongside many an Interceptor, made up the large number of fighters creating defensive screens around the Defense Fleet and Firestar Stations defenses.

Rendili. . . .would not fall. Not if she had anything to say about it. And if it did she would give such a showing the Sith and all who heard or witnessed would remember for the rest of their lives! The Sith would pay for the world in blood if they wanted it, and she would destroy everything she held power over before they could drink it dry. The Phrik mines, the shipyards. . . .she would destroy them if the Defense Force could not repel this foe. Soon enough their fleet would come to clash with Rendili's defenses and their monsters and Vong and soldiers would be deployed in mass to fight against the forces on the planet below. Their scouting forces already there showed the Sith's intentions, but they would get one warning.

"This is Camellia Swift of Rendili. To the Sith, you have one chance. Leave the system, or face our wrath!"

"Continue searching doctor." Balaya walked and held more of a grin. Kaut had proven well enough for finding one who might have potential but she would need more. They needed to get it going and she had plans for the many things they could do with it all. Her eyes flicking back and forth over what they had. She had worked on many things but there was also the... serum they had developed from genetic samples of zeltrons and cathar. They could test it on these ones, go after the blademasters who had proven powerful and strong. She wasn't above being petty about the Rendili CEO who had put up more of a fight as she moved off into the distance. "We'll take what information we can, search for anything pertaining to the shipyards and their CEO." Elara gave a nod of her head while her and the horsewomen moved off to work.

For now she was alone; the entire planet was in a panic. Not just due to the disappearances, but due to a new announcement. The One Sith Infiltrator would narrow her gaze upon a holoscreen playing in one of the Firestar Defense Stations.]

She was still yet undetected, but in this she would stay quiet and still.

The overhead comms would reveal a voice.

"This is Camellia Swift of Rendili. To the Sith, you have one chance. Leave the system, or face our wrath!"

The One Sith fleet was here? How interesting...

Objective: Pacify the Rendili Forces

With one end of her mouth quirked up in a smirk she stepped off the dropship, their forces fanning out around them planet-side. With a weapon like the one her companion was toting she doubted they'd meet any real resistance, especially with the sight of well-trained OS forces providing a united front. However she wasn't more than a few steps on to Rendili's surface when a warning broadcasted over their comms, patched down from the ships receiving the message above.

"This is Camellia Swift of Rendili. To the Sith, you have one chance. Leave the system, or face our wrath!"

At the moment she saw no opposing force but she assumed they were shoring up deeper within the city, hedging their bets with numbers and scrambling in their last moments to organize against the Sith's forces. "One chance, hmm? Well then, better make it count - I'd hate to face Rendili's Wrath." Rolling her shoulders, she raised a hand and beckoned their troops to move forward, the synchronized sound of their armor music to her ears.

Scout Rendili (Learn about Disappearances)

Darth Venefica halted her advance toward the illuminated building when a picture, all fuzzy and glitchy, appeared on a holomessage board that was fastened atop of another building. Most of the message was unclear except the phrase "This is Camellia Swift of Rendili. To the Sith, you have one chance. Leave the system, or face our wrath!" She whistled to her troops following it up with a hand signal for them to seek cover for now. Things were not adding up. First a deserted city and now a threat had been thrown into the mix. She looked back at the building and wondered if it was wise for her to enter it. But the voices in her head over ruled her.

The moment she stepped foot into the building, her stomach twisted and her mind grew hazy. Just like the effects from Force Light she was hit with back on Kashyyyk by a Jedi Master, the Force was acting chaotic. She stumbled slightly, using the wall to keep herself from falling to the floor. She slowly dropped to her knees, closed her eyes, and turned all her attention to refocusing on the Force. Feeling slightly better, she stood up and moved forward through the building stopping abruptly, confused by what she was seeing.

The main room was not only empty, but it seemed that all the activity being carried on by people at the time continued, somewhat. A computer console was still active in searching for a file that had been requested, by whom? The chair was empty. A closer inspection revealed several personal belongings littering the floor, their owners absent. Even a programmed protocol droid stood answering a question put forth to it, but there was no one there to hear it's reply. There was no sign of a battle but everyone was gone. It was as if they simply vanished.

She let out a string of colorful expletives when her comlink went silent again, resisting the urge to pinch her nose. It was something that she still hadn't gotten used to, despite wearing her armor almost every day. Sneezing fits were the worst.

"I'd like to see them try," snorted the taller Sith, casting a long look over their landing forces. She'd come here thinking it would be a relatively easy job. Get in, intimidate, get out; simple. Her blue eyes flickered to the flamethrower hanging on her back.

"I guess this sweetheart will be deflowered after all," she added after a few moments of pregnant silence, stroking the barrel with her gauntlet. Suppressing the urge to pull it out right then and there, the woman easily caught the step of her smaller companion, each of her strides worth a pair of hers.

"I'll be frank with you, Iron Maiden," continued the firrerreo as they moved forward into the city. "I'll sooner place a bullet between their eyes than lead a successful negotiation, which is why we have military personnel trained in that particular art," she gestured in the general direction of the platoons behind them.

"Let's leave the experts to their work, shall we?" With that, the Knight pulled the petite woman to the side, letting the invading armies pass them by. "And do what we do best. What say you?" Despite her blackened visor, the smirk could be heard in the timbre of her voice as she spoke.

The Hera had arrived, the Amarok class Cruiser was designed to appear as the ancient Interdictor class Cruisers that had once served in Revan's Sith Fleet and that were churned out in the thousands by the ancient Star Forge. It was not the first time this vessel had traveled into the territory of the One Sith, having done so previously on a state visit, bringing with it all the splendor that the Autarch of the Avidon Oligarchy, the Baroness Magrath had sought to lay at the feet of the One Sith. Now here she was once again, standing at the side of the Sith, though now with Billions in the galaxy gone in an instant, it wasn't just for her own health.
Standing silently upon the bridge of the vessel, her hand ran along the head of the large Nexu that stay at her side. Her golden-yellow hues peered upon the world below as she looked out the large window before her. A small smirk upon her lips, her mind already thinking on the hopes that the One Sith would aid her when the time came, and would remember how stalwart of an ally that the Avidon Oligarchy had been.
"Captain, contact the One Sith vessels, let them know that the Autarch Baroness Magrath has ordered your vessel to work with the One Sith blockade and are at their disposal, along with the 357 squadrons."
With a salute the Captain turned towards his communications officer, sending the message to those of the One Sith. The Baroness smirked as her old friend stepped forward. The Colonel hadn't been one of the ones to go missing, and the Baroness was rather happy for that simple fact. Her smirk remained upon her lips as she kept her sight turned forward.
"Prepare a small team of Fenrir Guardsmen. We're going planetside to aid in the pacification."
With a bow before he turned away, the Colonel was already on his comset, preparing a small squad of Fenrir Guardsmen for the Baroness. She looked down to her Nexu, hearing it purring with excitement before she to took a turn towards the doors, her hand running along the gown that she worn as her smirk grew.

Taeli had been keeping track of the news during her brief escape from Alderaan and the what people were now calling the Nether. The Republic had begun operations in the Alderaan system, but she suspected it would be a tough go with all the Vong-shaping they had done to it. The Sith would return there soon enough, but she had heard that at least part of the remaining Sith forces were launching an operation at Rendili, now that Kuat was in their hands.

Hoping to hear more, she had made the jump to the Rendili system to encounter a Sith fleet squaring off against the Rendili home fleet, and while she was tempted to help the fleet, she wanted to link up with her allies first before assisting in leading invasions. Sending a signal that she was a refugee fleeing the chaos on Alderaan, she made her way around the massive space battle and set a course for the planet's surface. The Force was wonky right now, but Taeli still knew how to fight from her time on the fencing team and her mother's lessons.

Her stolen shuttle was tailed by two Rendili fighters, but she was transmitting the proper transponder for the ship and had made it appear she wanted nothing to do with the Sith forces. Landing at an abandoned pad that ahd two ships on fire, she took otu her datapad and sent a message to her master's secure line . . . if she was here.

"Master, I've arrived on Rendili. Are you here?" she asked, moving from her stolen ship to search the chaotic city, and perhaps help the Sith secure it.

The Sith didn't appear to be leaving. However, Camellia was loathe to send her fleet out in the open against them yet either should the enemy hyperspace from a another point and surround them in a trap. Not to mention there was still plenty of activity going on within the command center aboard Rendili Stardrive's station. The shipyards control room a flurry of communication and orders as Camellia and the defense force staff coordinated the fleeing citizens trying to get off world. It wasn't just people evacuating the Capital in light of the coming battle, but worldwide there were civilians being loaded into transports and shuttles and being directed to the other side of the planet away from the Sith Fleet where they would be out of the way should the combat in space begin. These would eventually hopefully make their way to Republic space, or perhaps the Protectorate, fearing the vong shaping of Alderaan would befall Rendili as well.

Even if it didn't not many would want to live under Sith rule. However, not everyone could of course be evacuated. Camellia hoped to ensure those who stayed wouldn't fall under the control of the Sith, and that those who had fled could return quickly once the Sith were repelled.

The Sith already groundside though, would have to be dealt with. By this time the scout ships that had slipped through the gaps in the defense grids were pinpointed and now security teams could begin to launch operations against the Sith forces who made landfall. [member="Matsu Xiangu"] and [member="Vrag"] , along with their forces, would soon see half a dozen security troopers on speeders bikes on approach who would begin circling patterns on the Sith, calling into several nearby squads to reinforce them. Both [member="Velda Nar-Donna"] and [member="Darth Venefica"] would also encounter similar speeder patrols, however, the size of their forces did not go unnoticed as they attracted thirty security troopers apiece, a squad of which would climb into buildings across from the enemy to lay up sniper posts while the rest of their comrades took cover behind abandoned vehicle, bus stops, and such ahead of the Sith forces moving into the city.

Summary
  • 6 Speeder Bikes & Thirty Security Troopers move into cover and buildings for sniper posts against Darth Venefica
  • 6 Speeder Bikes & Thirty Security Troopers move into cover and buildings for sniper posts against Velda Nar-Donna
  • 6 Speeder Bikes and Ten Security Troopers move to surround Vrag and Matsu

Klaxons would rear their sharp sound. Then came the message of evacuations. Already? Well, depending on how the situation would turn out with Rendili, the One Sith would do one of two things.

Either demand submission or ensure it.

If people were already missing, then... Just how crazy and chaotic were things for Rendili's defenses? That was a thought.

So the Nightsister would continue her investigation. This time, it would include the investigation of the Defense station's defenses.

The Event.

Subcommander Khallesh Val strode down one of the long, curving passageways of the organic ship. A few moments of peace to herself, no others in sight, no need to salutes or having to talk. Alone with her thoughts, and there was much to ponder. She was certain that the Master Shaper Jun Paarth was manipulating her for some purpose, speaking heresy in her ears, whilst also aiding her with reaching her command position and escalations. Yet she had no idea why, or what she hoped to achieve. Something niggled in the back of her mind, some fact she was missing perhaps, some part of the puzzle?

She heard a cry in the distance, but the words were muffled by the soft flesh of the ship's passages. They grew steadily in volume. Her arachnostaff lifted it's head from her shoulders, perceiving her angst. There were calls from all directions now. She didn't waste time in pulling her staff from around her torso and readying it.

Then she realised what the niggling feeling was. She could no longer sense the will of the Yammosk. She broke into a jog, turning a corner.

"Is this an attack?" she demanded of a worker, skidding to a halt.

"I do not know warrior! I would..." she replied, but Khallesh had already accelerated away. The passage opened into a wide corridor, the din growing in volume.

Yet there were no blasters being fired, no sign of an attack. Just Yuuzhan Vong shouting and calling to each other, gesticulating furiously.

Now

The harsh metal deck made a loose noise as she strode across it in Skerr Kyrric. It felt...alien. How could the infidels stand this, boxed up in these dark, metal coffins with all these corners and flashing lights and the air...what did they do to make the air like this. It dried the lips and the throat and tasted foul.

The Yuuzhan Vong fleet had been sent jet disarray even more than their allies. Yammosks had vanished too, leading to chaos. They would be ready to move soon, but for now Khallesh took her men into battle on one of the Sith vessels. Woe betide her first enemy who met her in this mood. After sleepless nights in the infidel machine she was more than ready for slaughter.

There was chaos, but perhaps opportunity as well. There were rumours that the Sith could not call on the Force as before. She would watch them carefully

Pacify with Rendili Forces

Well, this turn of events was certainly not expected, what was expected was brief pockets of resistance that was to be easily thwarted, Velda mused as the Republican voiced her pledge of defense for these shipyards. Still it was of no matter. This planet, one way or the other and its resources was going to be in the hands of the One Sith.

It was then when Velda was just about to walk into an ambush...except the noise of the speeders tipped her ears off to danger.

And a small spell of a firefight ensued….

The sound of blasters set the streets alight as Velda began to slice and dice her way through an enemy detachment. Followed in harmony with Velda's lightsaber.

Quickly a speeder bike headed straight for Velda, as she deflected blaster shots in random directions, and side stepping the bike, beheaded the trooper, the bike spinning out of control and crashing into a nearby speeder.

Velda's troops marched forward to link up with Matsu and Vrag
