How to stop notifications for a specific status update?

I've got notifications set to alert me when someone replies to a status update that I've replies to. Usually this is fine, but sometimes it just means my notifications go boom. Is there a way to switch this off for individual statuses?

Not to my knowledge, no.

see if going into settings, then notification settings does the trick... then uncheck boxes in the status update sections and you can only do mass and not single status.

[member="Petra Cavataio"] I don't want to stop it for all the notifications, just for specific statuses that I've replied to already and no longer want to receive notifications for.

Yes, that's the issue. Even if you delete your posts you're still signed up.

I'm not sure how to get around that.
