Morellian Mechanica holds that a steady hand and a steady gun can outshoot blasters that spray bolts like a malfunctioning hose, and the Homesteader is built to this mindset. The lever-action means that without an incredibly fast hand that fire rate will be low, but due to the round and the rifle's excellent manufacturing the recoil will also be low. The .30-30 round utilized by the Homesteader excels when used against unarmored targets, and as such tends to fare poorly against those wearing dedicated combat armor or creatures with very thick hides or plating.
