OVERVIEW

The Republic's evolution following the conflicts that scarred the Southern Systems - the Cataclysm, the attack by the Unblessed, and the border conflicts of the greater galactic war - led to the crucial realization that disparate military and intelligence branches could no longer guarantee security. To forge a unified force capable of rapid, decisive action across the theater of engagement, the High Republic Strategic Command (HRSC) was established.

The HRSC is the singular, unified defense and intelligence arm of the Republic. It integrates all elements of space warfare, ground defense, logistics, and counter-intelligence into a single, seamless organizational structure dedicated to the total security of the Republic and its affiliated territories. Its core philosophy is Proactive Defense: acting strategically and decisively to neutralize threats before they can reach the civilian populace.

The foundation of the HRSC's effectiveness lies in its highly specialized enlisted personnel. A significant portion of the HRSC's enlisted ranks are filled by Clone Troopers. Developed through advanced bio-engineering programs, these clones represent the perfect solution to the Republic's need for an instantly deployable, highly loyal, and professionally trained standing army that avoids the logistical and political friction of mass conscription.

Clones are supplemented by vast numbers of sophisticated Military Service Droids. These droids handle specialized roles, logistical support, heavy material handling, electronic warfare, and often act as independent scout units, freeing up the organic troops for direct combat and high-value strategic objectives. This synergy between highly trained organic clones and capable, specialized droids allows the HRSC to maintain a state of peak readiness, ensuring the Republic remains safe against any future threat.

GRAND ARMY OF THE HIGH REPUBLIC

The Grand Army of the High Republic (GAHR), now operating under the unified High Republic Strategic Command (HRSC), represents the Republic's core ground fighting force. Together, they form a potent, rapidly deployable force dedicated to the HRSC's philosophy of Proactive Defense, ensuring the Republic's security through swift and decisive action.

The Grand Army's ranks, from Private leading the charge in combat, to Lieutenant commanding small units, Captain leading company-sized formations, Major overseeing battalions, and General directing vast operational theaters, are all integral to the HRSC's unified mission. Each level of command is meticulously trained to execute objectives with precision, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to protecting the Republic and its citizens.


REPUBLIC DEFENSE FLEET

The Republic Defense Fleet (RDF) operates as the primary strategic arm under the High Republic Strategic Command (HRSC). Organized around the core philosophy of Proactive Defense, the RDF is designed not merely for border patrol, but for rapid, decisive action to neutralize emerging threats across the theater of engagement before they can impact civilian territory. The Fleet maintains a state of peak operational readiness, ensuring the total security of the Republic and its affiliated territories.

Command within the RDF follows a clear hierarchy dedicated to maintaining strategic and operational excellence. At the junior officer level, the Ensign serves as a ship operations supervisor or junior department head. The Lieutenant commands smaller operational craft or acts as a senior tactical officer on major capital ships. A Captain is typically assigned as the commanding officer of a capital ship or a designated task force. Higher echelons are led by the Commodore, who manages an entire fleet squadron or oversees a major sector defense grid. The most senior rank, Admiral, exercises high-level strategic command, directing the deployment and operation of entire fleets across the Republic's theater of engagement.

REPUBLIC INTELLIGENCE SERVICE

The Republic Intelligence Service (RIS), functions as the Republic's clandestine intelligence and national security arm. Embodying the HRSC doctrine of Proactive Defense, the RIS acts as the organization's critical sensor network, ensuring threats are identified and neutralized before they necessitate large-scale military deployment. The RIS is charged with synthesizing intelligence across the theater of engagement, conducting high-value covert operations, and providing the strategic analysis required for decisive command action.

RIS operatives are drawn from the Republic's most exceptional candidates, undergoing a brutal selection process focused on loyalty, discretion, and technical mastery. Entry into the service begins at the rank of Cadet. These probationary recruits are immediately assigned to intense real-world apprenticeships under veteran field personnel, mastering skills ranging from psychological analysis and deep-cover operations to advanced counter-intelligence. Only upon receiving a field commendation and proving their unwavering competence are Cadets promoted to the active rank of Agent, serving as the essential blade in the dark that secures the Republic against catastrophic strategic breaches.

While the public sees the organized might of the HRSC's Clone and Droid forces, Rogue is the clandestine vector, operating far beyond official borders on missions ranging from deep-penetration reconnaissance and high-value target neutralization to preemptive strikes against emerging threats. Recruited via absolute discretion from the most exceptionally skilled pilots, commando specialists, and intelligence gatherers, Rogue Squadron offers the HRSC total deniability when galactic diplomacy prevents overt military action.

Functioning as independent operational cells, the pilots shed their identities upon joining; they answer only to the call signs of Rogue Two and upwards, reserving "Rogue One" eternally for the unit's mythical founders. This anonymity is the foundation of their service contract: every member understands that should they be captured or compromised, the High Republic Strategic Command will officially deny their existence, ensuring the HRSC remains insulated from the political fallout of necessary, but unseen, war.
