GENERAL INFORMATION
COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Availability: Rare
  • Deployment: Minor
  • Strengths & Weaknesses:
Occultists: The Helldivers specialize in dealing with the oddities of the Galaxy. From the undead to Sith spirits to Sithspawn and Space Cthulhu, they have either heard of it, fought it or exterminated it at least several times. This makes them highly knowledgeable and experienced at handling the weird things the Galaxy has to offer.
Gear: Formerly sponsored by Akure Executive Interstellar they have access to specialty gear that makes their job far easier than without.
Specialized: Oh, they can be nasty in a regular fight, but they aren't really equipped or trained to handle more contemporary fights. Put them on a battlefield and they will either be massacred or will probably desert, they have no interest in fighting the standard wars.
Voidwoken: They have looked into the void and the void looked back. The experiences that the Helldivers have gone through and will go through have left them unstable at best and borderline psychotic at worst. It isn't a rare event for one of them to simply break down in the middle of the mission or to turn violent- there is a grim responsibility there for each and every Helldiver as they are expected to put down their former friends and family without question.

DESCRIPTION
The Helldivers began its life within the Lords of the Fringe, a haphazard collection of exiled Sith, Dark Jedi and other more chaotic elements, around the Unknown Regions. The Fringe considered itself the bulwark of the Galaxy, protecting it and everyone within it from the terrors of the Unknown and putting down threats that few even know existed. Once the Fringe Confederacy fell, the Helldivers continued their mission without hesitation.

They traveled across the Galaxy and slowly transitioned into a mercenary outfit specializing in handling existential threats that isn't as easily taken care of as a stormtrooper or a Jedi.

For the most part they continued to operate around the regions the Fringe Remnants maintained within the Tingel Arm. Throughout it all they maintained a positive working relationship with Akure Executive Interstellar - after all, their business overlapped by quite a lot - and with the rise of the Sith Empire around their hunting grounds the Helldivers established a lengthy contract with this new Empire. Their alignment didn't matter to these occultist hunters, Sith, Jedi, Imperial or Rebel, once the undead rise or the Monsters of the Unknown descend?

They are all meat for the grinder anyway.

Within the context of their contract with the Sith Empire the Helldivers usually operate in cooperation with the Saaraishash, the Dark Magus and the more fringe-elements within the Empire.

They do not mix well with others, prefer to stick to themselves outside of mission time and this is answered in kind.

Many believe that they are cursed after all their fighting- but better to turn that curse against their enemies than to have to hold it closer to their own, no?
