In yet another attempt to diversify their weapons ever growing catalog of weapons, the design team began to pour over surveys and suggestions from both employees and customers to decide what they would design next. Many of those question made the comment that while the UGL-01 grenade launcher that they produced was a great weapon, they wanted something that could lay down more fire than the single-shot launcher and with that the design team began work on a repeating grenade launcher.
In order to make the launcher capable of firing multiple grenades in succession they made it virtually one big revolver but instead of being chambered in pistol rounds it was chambered in 40x53mm grenades. With the basic design chosen they began to move onto choosing the materials that they would utilize in its construction.
For the barrel and receiver frame of the launcher they chose their trademark Titanium-Alusteel alloy for both its low weight and sturdiness. The cylinder was made out of Plasteel for the same reasons as previously mentioned but also its relatively good expansion qualities. Finally the stock, pistol grip and handguard were built out of Plastoid to save on weight without sacrificing any durability.
When it came to features the design team added in a bevy of them to improve usability. An ambidextrous safety and cylinder release allows ease of use no matter which hand you shoot with. An automatic ejector makes reloading quicker and simpler as any spent cartridges are release on opening the cylinder. A grenade launcher sight assists the user in aiming the launcher at various set ranges. A telescoping and articulating stock gives the user more a higher degree of ergonomics when aiming the launcher. Lastly rails added to the sides and bottom of the handguard allow for the mounting of foregrips and various accessories to help users.
