DESCRIPTION
With the entrance into the vehicle market with their Light Patrol Vehicle the team at Hekler'Kok began work on another product for their new growing line-up. They decided that a heavier variant of the LPV, rather originally called the Heavy Patrol Vehicle. They decided on using a widened and lengthened LPV chassis with an extra pair of tires, making it a 6x6 truck instead of the LPV's 4x4.

Since they were using a modified chassis from its smaller counterpart they decided to also reuse the materials they had used in the LPV, with the vehicles armor plating being made up of Prex-class Composite Armor and the windshield and windows being made out of Transparisteel. The Prex armor gives it a very good protection against many forms of weaponry while the Transparisteel windows protect the occupants while allowing them a good view outside.

Since they used a modified LPV chassis many of the features in the vehicle are the same. The first thing they did was equip the vehicle with multi-link independent suspension, giving the stability when going over rough terrain and better traction. Four wheel drive came next giving the truck great traction in adverse conditions. Heavy duty shock absorbers on each wheel give the occupants a smoother ride. Self-sealing tires allow the truck to keep going even when punctured. All terrain tires give it better traction in adverse conditions. A self-sealing fuel tank prevents the fuel from leaking if it is somehow punctured. A powered turret makes it easier for the gunner to rotate it. A v-hull gives the vehicle protection against mines. A vehicle snorkel allows the truck to ford bodies of water that would usually flood the vehicles engine. A powerful V8 engine was included to boost the vehicles speed as much as possible. Five weapon storage racks were added to allow the soldiers inside to safely store their weapons. A spare tire holder was included to a spare tire in case one of the tire somehow goes flat. Lastly powered windows were added so the soldiers inside could roll them down to either use their own weapons or just for comfort when not in a combat zone. Two features added to the Heavy Patrol Vehicle not present on the LPV is the ability to mount either rocket cages or reactive armor to protective from things like rockets and missiles.

When it came to the aspect of the vehicles armament it is significantly more well armed than the LPV. The Heavy Patrol Vehicle can mount a pair of HMG-01's or AGL-01's or RBC-01's or a single HMG-01 and AGL-01 or RBC-01 and AGL-01.

Noah Corek Noah Corek , this looks pretty solid for the most part, but it's one rating over-powered at the moment (assuming that the cargo space is 'average').
  • Cargo Capacity: Average (With Passengers) and Very Large (Without Passengers)

I think it makes logical sense that if your vehicle isn't carrying passengers, that it would have more cargo space. However, because cargo space is an actual rating, if we increase it to "very large" according to the rules, we would actually have to lower another rating somewhere else (since passengers aren't balanced by ratings). I'd probably simply omit the "very large" rating myself, but if there's another option you'd like to consider, let me know!
