Heavy blaster fire took a blazing path through the air at the droids. They returned the favor. Cypher and his men were quickly advancing towards Rasho and his company. Casualties were happening though, they needed to stop these droids asap. And that meant finding the control computer. Cyper took cover and dropped the dead cells from his weapons; replacing with some fresh ammo. "Scrap em' men"! The Underlord broke cover and was back in the fray. Deadly bolts dropping droids left and right until the hallway was cleared. The way now open they continued at a faster pace, hoping for resistance to be much lighter.

"RASHO"! Cypher and his group came upon the Hutt under heavy fire. Quickly he joined the Hutt using him as a flabby shield while the rest helped the others fight. "Have you killed the boss Hutt yet"?

ASh grinned as he patched into the mainframe wirelessly. He could attack the data network of this planet soon enough, but first, the place. He smirked as he sent a quick comm to Danger.

In the interest of journalism--and my own amusement--I'm going to hack and record goings-on in the Palace. After all, I think showing this whole thing will let the galaxy learn a thing or two about proper manners. Want a live feed?

He leaned back in his speeder, tapping away, parked nowhere in particular on Sleyheyron. He grinned as he began patching in to the comm system, dropping worms in every security console he could, switching feeds around and smiling. It'd take him another four minutes to patch into the robots, another ten after that to finish disabling and locking down the palace. He sent another comm to his ally, Rasho.

[member="Rasho the Hutt"]

Override on the droids should be in four minutes, total security control in ten. All in all, you buy twenty minutes of this Hutt's time and we'll have him in here as our play-thing.

He grinned, the sort of rictus grin that he gave when he was about to shred someone alive. And on stage, even. Oh, this was to be a performance. He smiled, quickly forming a holographic avatar to disguise his actions. After all, couldn't be the leader of a pre-eminent law-firm and a psychotic slicer who hires convicted killers to perform executions publicly. Well, not outside the Sith Empire, anyhow.

The comm message would bring a rather cruel joyful smile to the fiery redhead's lips. A reply in turn would then communicate her distinct pleasure at making this as public as possible.

"You do know how to sweet-talk a girl, don't you?" would come her syrupy reply. Yes, she wanted a live feed of it. All of it.

Meanwhile, Black Sun forces along with those from Arceneau Trade and hired on by her were making progress in continuing their mission to secure the refineries. It would be a slow and bloody process, but with the Star Wolves and Danger's artillery aiding in the offensive, would soon bear fruit.

It was just a matter of time.

Refineries:

Things were getting all kinds of interesting. But that was just how Maarah liked it.

The Felacatian gave a hearty yell as the fight ensued, pumping her blaster rifle in the air as the rest of the pirates jumped out of their speeders. One of them pointed a speeder mounted massive launcher straight into a sentry watch-post. A blast of fiery flames went shooting up into the air as other speeders went crashing through the fence.

It was only the beginning.

TIBANNA REFINERIES

The Hammer Walker pounded along the ground as more defenses began to rush to protect the refinery. The man sat in the pilot's chair and turned the heavy bipedal machine to aim at an incoming speeder truck.

"Nope." He said as he squeezed the trigger for the guns. A stream of fire shot out from the machine's chin rather than the a gatling laser he planed.

"KARK!" the man yelled his green eyes quickly searching for the correct button.

He hit a small switch with his thumb by misyake and the speeder truck filled with Hutt troops erupted from the concussion missle he had inadvertently fired. He opened the comm channel to the group and pretended he meant to do that.

"Threat one neutralized." He said in a calm Trooperesque tone, "continuing engagement."

"Schutta went out the escape tunnel?" Rashi lowered his torso and slithered through the escape tunnel without incident, away from the stinging blasterfire. He emerged in time to see and feel Maya Whitelight using the Pale and Tepid Side of the Force to drop a ceiling. Well, even Sio Kerrigan had started somewhere.

"Decent," he rumbled, slithering down the hall, "but if you used your natural exhilaration, fear, irritation instead of wasting time trying to erase them -- and that never works in the long run -- you've have an easier time of it. Might mean the difference betweeen life and death for you or a friend."

He squinted. Far ahead, a Hutt's hovercart, loaded with treasure and escorted by mercs on foot, was getting away.

"Like so."

He stretched out one immense hand, and the hoverchair slewed to a stop as the fleeing Hutt's neck broke. The mercs turned and opened fire at them, at extreme range. Rasho ignited his immense lightsabre on defense. "Problem solved. [member="Cypher"], this is Rasho. He's down."

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Slowly but surely, another refinery fell to Tenloss and Popo. So far, so good. That made two already, and there were at least three to go. Popo checked his datapad to determine how far along the second facility was getting to being fully under Tenloss. While doing so, he used his shoulder mounted E-Web to hose a few enemy security personnel. Looked like the techies were almost done and the Tenloss troops were about halfway through securing the next refinery.

It was a good day, Tater.

"Ahh well fantastic work. Now we just need to deal with the tens of thousands of droids swarming the city bend on eradicating us leader or not". A bit of a pickle at that. It was unanticipated to be facing an army like this. And using the really big guns he had wasn't an option. Cypher broke from the cover of Rasho's body to shoot up more droids and mercs. "These droids are from the old Confederacy, aren't they slave controlled"? Might have a wonderful idea if his assumption was right. Killing the leader was one thing, but the droid leader so to say would end this mess quick. He just needed to know before formulating a plan and orders.

Xyra let out a bloodcurling whoop as she dove out of cover, firing away at the droids. Excitement sang in her ears, and the love of battle. She sprinted ahead, slamming a droid with the stock of her rifle, sending it crumpling to the ground. One down. Thousands to go. Excellent. Just the odds she liked. She ran ahead, yelling back for her squad to follow. Artillery rattled the street, and she dove to avoid a crumbling building.

Watching wide eye, at [member="Rasho the Hutt"] speechless for the time being. How could this one tell what used to aid her in the force? Shaking this off real quick for the fact that they wasn't out of this. Just to think thought this was gong to be light work, get a little credits in her hands for reason that where personal. Trying to speaking only to find herself deep with in the battle once more, finding that she had to up her own skills, letting what knew of the force as this moment was much then what been taught by her mother and learn on her own. Might mean the difference between life and death for you or a friend." could he be right on these was there a different way no that was not a path her mother had spoken of.

To bad there wasn't a way to heck into these droids programming, eh

Xyra dropped into cover again as blaster bolts slammed into the wall, some cutting down her comrades and they fell to the ground. So be it. If they could not dodge blaster bolts, they weren't worthy. Now. The mission. Seize the refinery. She checked the data again, and reoriented herself. Perfect. Through the building. She dropped to a crouch, and peered through the doorway. A few droids clanked her way. She squeezed the trigger and sent a small storm of blaster bolts their direction, and they crumpled down. Xyra sprinted into the building, ducking and weaving between furniture. Whether or not others were following, she had no idea. They were liabilities anyways.

TIBANNA REFINERIES
...the dropship carrying troops towards the refineries was moving at fantastic speeds, the refineries were in sight in moments, and onboard Ordan Vosk continued to scan the defenses that were ahead. Mercenaries and troopers on the payroll of Arceneau were packed into the dropship on its way to the refineries. Looking ahead Ordan would have shouted at the pilot..."Take us around the refineries once so that we can take a visual of the perimeter and its defenses."...according to the intel that he had received these refineries were well protected by Droid meant for combat. Intelligence was correct. The Dropship came into range of the refineries just after a Hammer Walker had fired into a group of Hutt troops and droids causing them to scatter in different directions in what the man considered a fantastic display of firepower that he could easily appreciate...

...as the dropship made its initial pass Ordan would have spotted a landing plattform, fairly well protected, and signal to the pilot again...
"There!"...he shouted..."Take us down there!"...the pilot responded by steering the dropship around while the Mercenary called out to the others..."Lets clear that pad boys! Give them hell!"...before the others started firing down out of the dropship towards the landing pad below. Droids down below returned fire and casualties were sustained on both sides whether it was the cries of men feeling the pain of blaster fire cutting into them or the destruction of a droid that sent mechanical parts in all directions and left scrap metal in its wake. The Grenade Launcher he'd been holding was lift then, its butt pressed into his shoulder, and squeezing the trigger Ordan would have grunted..."Lets clear a hole."...the fragmentation grenades fired out of the launcher would scatter across the landing pad. Explosions rocked the landing pad and ripped through various droid defensive positions...

...the dropship made its way down moments later, troops began spilling out of it until they numbered just under two dozen. Ordan's feet were on the ground the moment the dropship had touched down. He checked the Grenade Launcher counting four fragmentation rounds left and he'd snort...
"Lets get to work. We're not getting paid to sit on our asses."...there were walkways all around the refinery, some leading higher and others leading inside, which meant a choice needed to be made. "Intel?"...Ordan asked one of the men rushing past him, he was holding a datapd, and then leaned in to check the information that they had.

Freynk and his Hammer continued the perimeter patrol. He was going to have to be ordered out of the walker if they wanted him to go inside. He didn't want to be seen by a stray camera or droid for two reasons: One know one had a clue who he was out side of a select few, and two that select few didn't need to know he had anything to do with anything but looking goofy and booking sporting events. Finally, after frying a few enemy troops, he found the Gatling lasers and the proverbial poodoo hit the fan. He moved as quickly as he could in the lumbering walker without missing any hidden badies. Several times he opened fire on enemy personnel and watched them turn into pink mist from the weapons.

"This is walker two. Perimeter is secure. Continuing patrol to hold off reinforcements." he said into the secured comm.

Ash grinned. A hacker tryign to beat him? Fun, fun, fun. Well, at least now he knew which persona he'd wear. A quick holo-upload to reactivate the link.

Authorization: Black Bodhisattva.

Ash nodded as the new form began swatting at the smiley faces. "You're not bad," he said teasingly, hoping the kid would take his bait, "but I'm better."

The advantages of superior heuristic learning meant that adaptive multi-tasking and multi-schema models of cognition could occur. In layman's terms, ASH could adapt far faster than the average slicer. As if from nowhere, two custom-made virus occurred, and one by one robots started to drop their weapons a run into walls at full speed, while he patch Danger in a second time to the cameras.

"And now, for your entertainment," one of the holographic entities began, rattling off a script, "the demise of a Hutt, live on holofeed," he said as the recording spread like wildfire. After all, Danger wanted this execution to be a public affair. "Funny thing--the big guy here had to learn the hard way. Life's dangerous out here in the verse, doubly so if you try to take what ain't yours," the holographic entity said. "Now, let's have some fun shall we? Oh, I know--"

A million pings of noise, random request to random servers. Meaningless infodumps into irrelevant servers. A flood of information was pushing the local network to it's limit--how many systems could be protected, and how many would explode in a flood of overheat and chaos was hard to tell. Still, pushing machines to their limits was much easier than protecting them. Let's see how well the little hacker could fight that.

Ash grinned as he began driving, pushing a few more commands into his console as his AI "B.B." began digitally running amok. He wondered how much chaos he could sow before the mechanisms began fighting back...

Piping up to the Underlords question a random soldier had the answer. "I believe you're right sir. Find the control node and these clankers should be down for scrap".

"Alright then, mission priority has switched people. We need to find the brain". Cypher ducked back behind Rasho for the cover. He needed to reload and why do that in the open when you've a shield. The one big problem was finding the target, but he knew who could find it for him. Cypher fiddled with a wrist comm to send in the call."[member="Mr. Ash"], its Cypher. We're under heavy attack from droids. An armies worth. I need you to find the location of the control node and tell us where it is so we can destroy it".

Hacker held his arm a little lower so [member="Ordan Vosk"] could see his data pad. There was a birdseye view of the facility on screen he'd been studying. "Intel, intel, yes. The droids have three sniper positions here, here, and here. They're causing casualties to mount and air support can't attack without damaging the refinery". His big gauntlet did the best it could to point out the position on the comparable to him; small screen. "Reports from recon teams one and two also indicate the droids massing in sector A-1 through A-17 of Refining Tower 3. Mostly scattered resistance elsewhere. Which target do you want to attack first. The snipers or the massing droids"?

Looking over to the one that just took cover behind the big fella [member="Cypher"] Nice fun we having, I say there a change of more droid. Winking at him taking out her one of her many throwing knifes from her hip, one would look as those had lost again a droid army as this knowing this would prevent them from raining down upon them but at less to slow them down. Jumping up now with her lightsaber in the other hand letting out the cage warrior inside she wasn't missing around letting her force snake out to where she found a sweet spot throwing it at what it look like to miss any of the droid. Before throwing it had pushed down on the top, of the throwing knife.

If I would find some kind of protection, over your ears. 5 ....4...3....2...1... There it was a load boom, and the shaking of the floor, then dust flying every where with bits of rock. Not feeling a thing with herself safely inside her force bubble of protection if one was close enough they could use it also.

Ash noticed the orders. now Cypher was the needy one. Go figure. He sent a few lines of text to the underlord's ubiquitious commlink:

Working on it, big boss. Tracking, will provide coordinates.

He frown as he considered his options. A droid command center would need a lot of power-drain. He couldn't track the data trail, there were too many relays. He'd have to create a trackign algorhitihm, but that'd take a lot of time they didn't have. Actually, there was an easier way. He smirked. "Danger, switch your commsats to EMF receivers at 2.5 nanosecond intervals for twenty seconds. Send me all the raw data you pick up to terminal Aure-Lepton-One-Seven. I should be able to find what's making these droids dance from that, I hope," he said calmly, lighting his cigar as he continue switching through video relays. This was gonna get messy.

...now that his feet were on the ground, figuratively speaking, Ordan felt a lot better about his situation and he'd tote his Grenade Laucnher back over his shoulder while looking down at the datapad that Hacker had shown him. Nodding his head as Hacker spelled it out for him he'd have asked..."Are we the only ones with boots on the ground?"...snipers and resistance mounting in tower three; neither predicament sounded especially good to him however he needed to make a decision. All that in mind maybe Ordan could come up with a way to handle both situations at once...

...
"What about that Walker?"...he'd seen it as he and the troops came in on the dropship..."Perimeter is secured. Maybe it can lay down some fire and destroy one or two of those sniper positions."...he might catch hell for it later but he'd have added..."These refineries are going to take some heat no matter how hard we try to stop it. As long as they're operational, even at a loss, we can afford some damage."...the truth was that Ordan valued the lives of the troopers that he served with, he was a hired gun but he recognized a man was more willing to lay down his life for someone he knew appreciated it, he valued the manpower that he had at his disposal. Regardless he'd have went on..."We're heading to the refining tower. Transmit our progress to Ms. Arceneau. Maybe once we've eliminated the opposition there we can find something that'll let you hack into these droid."...after all Hacker was a Slicer as far as Ordan knew so his talents may as well have been put to use...

...finishing the conversation they were having he'd have moved ahead, the Grenade Launcher found a place across his chest, barking commands to the others...
"Stay tight and check your corners. Expect resistance and make your shots count. We move in teams of three and sweep the refining tower floor by floor."...then he'd motion for Hacker to join him as he went towards an entrance way that would lead inside the refinery...

Danger gave a nod to the Lethan Twi'lek at her right to do as instructed, the slender crimson hand of the Companion reaching over to set the comm-sat to EMF Receivers at 2.5 nanosecond intervals for the next twenty seconds.

As soon as the raw data was picked up, she sent it all back to the slicer. All the while, Danger kept taking slow steady drags off her cigarra. There was a darkness in her eyes. A coldness.

Meanwhile folk were doing what they needed to be doing in the refineries. A nod from her and then came another command "Find out how the Star Wolves are doing,"

"Yes Ma'am."

"No we have Tenloss Security forces on the far side of the facility. Along with Arceneau Trade mercs. Those two recon squads are also in the facility at Tower 3". Hacker voiced a few commanded and looked at a larger battlefield overview. Things look well from above, the droids were in cover. They must have know Black Sun wanted the infrastructure intact. Tactically a brilliant move, but dangerous. "Right I'll relay the info and get the walkers on the snipers".

"Hammer Walker, uhh, your Ferynk right"? Hacker tabbed a few buttons on his helmet. "We've got snipers up high. We need you to take them out. And try not to blow us into the 4th dimension".

[member="Danger Arceneau"]

Hacker began moving along with the groups of soldiers and mercs towards Tower 3. They came up on a crossing point and had to pass squad by squad, eating some time up that he could now spare to contact Danger. He opened a command link to her to send a progress report. "Danger, its Hacker. The really big guy in red armor. Ordan wanted me to give you a status update. Droids are swarming all over Tower 3 like an ant hill. We're moving in to back up our recon guys but could use more help from the other side. So if you can space some forces I'd love you for it".
