- Command Cruiser: The Harrower serves as a mid-sized command cruiser for Captains and other similarly ranked officers of the Imperial Armada, often being the largest ship of smaller naval formations. Because of the ship's origins with the Sith Purebloods of Athiss, these ships are typically manned and commanded by Purebloods.
- Low Maneuverability: Serving at the center of Imperial naval groups, the Harrower wasn't built with exceptional speed or maneuverability in mind. Though it can achieve commendable forward momentum, it lacks the agility to turn or pivot gracefully.
While the galaxy moved on and the once feared dreadnoughts of the Sith Empire were inevitably forgotten, the sight of such impressive vessels was still alive and well in the isolated pocket of space surrounding Athiss.
Isolated for centuries, Athiss' society was left virtually unchanged as they remained ignorant of events transpiring outside of their system. They would only ever venture beyond the borders of their hermit fiefdom by the ambitions of Vrak Nashar and other like-minded Sith who sought to reconnect with the wider galaxy and carve out their own Empire while everything else burned down around them.
Though larger versions of the Harrower were built by this Resurgent Sith Empire, the eight hundred meter Harrower still found service as a mid-ranged battleship and command vessel. When the New Sith Empire incorporated the Resurgent Empire, they too gained control of the vast number of Harrowers residing within the Loro Babis system.
The larger vessels were dismantled and reincorporated into the Sith Empire's mainline destroyers, but the smaller Harrowers were spared the same fate and allowed to serve in the Imperial Armada where they became the favored command ship of Pureblood Sith officers.
