  • Religion/Beliefs: Thought a legend in ancient scrolls the creatures are sought on worlds steeped in history and far from the sight of the people on worlds. Their legend inspiring some for fruitless searching them out when their homeworld on the edge of the galaxy was lost near the rift controlled by the Aing-Tii. On Dathomir they were brought to the world tens of thousands of years ago as small creatures sought to see what other cultures did with them. The Witches regarded them as a myth and mentioned them as the large creatures seemed to stick to the high mountains their hibernation cycles preserving them and allowing them to live for a long time. Their shells are often found buried under the ground from the creature decomposing while rancors find their bones and take them into the woods. Then slowly time piles dirt on the shells as spiders for the older nightsisters clan can enter and grow larger.
  • General behavior: The species is shy and doesn't like to be found often finding the most remote part of the planet to create a borrow and sleep for long periods of time. They are not violent but they are not above fighting tyrant rancors to defend themselves or their mates. For food they will generally eat for several weeks grass and branches from trees to fill up before going to sleep for sometimes centuries at a time. With their mates the males generally are subservient finding food and bringing it back to the females that can grow to twice their size. The females birthing once every thousand years or so and mating for life. The children are vulnerable when naturally hibernation comes upon the adults depending on when they are born and can die from neglect leading to greater problems.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Born in the semi mystical world that seems to stay on the edge of the galactic disc on the far side of the Rift. The world they were born on filled with strange creatures like from a child's dream or nightmare. The Infinite empire finding benefit in such large creatures as beasts of burden and for their imposing size when dealing with slaves. Their seeded many throughout the galaxy in mating groups before they were pushed back to their planet.

Slowly over time their species was found and hunted to near extinction or taken off world by brave hunters working for the Hutts. The species was sold as babies at auctions to some of the larger hutts that were taking them offworld to other places. Some were traded for the larger rancors of Dathomir that were found or the Grn-Dl of Asobi. Their stature often becoming to large for the ones who bought them and the creatures either escaped or were killed.

Several dozen of the species were caught and taken by a hutt during the Pius Dea crusades. Using the dangers of their soldiers and the corrupted jedi order to steal anything that might be of value on the outer rime territories. The creatures were then sold off to others and a ship transporting them crashed much like the ancient chunithar a jedi praxium allowing the creature to spread across the planet if they survived and populate. Over time they became something of a legend in the remote sections of the planet.

With attacks by various groups across the galaxy on worlds like Shri-Tal and Dathomir... Sasori worked to try and preserve the species. Providing for them other locations they cou8ld be repopulated. The worlds of Ahch-To and Atrisia served well enough and granted for them a better understanding of the creatures as their bodies were able to adapt to other worlds. They worked to preserve them and even harder to not allow some other governments to try and exploit them or weaponize them.

I would like to see a section in History added to include the species move to Dathomir.
After that, I will have no issue putting this up to Pending.
