Sem was now on their way back, having not mustered up the curiosity to continue.

The figure hadn't made any move, or even given much (seeable) acknowledgement to the Clawdite. Typically, they would have walked until they were close enough to the individual, and perhaps attempted to spark up some conversation. But this was unknown territory to them, and the last thing they wanted was a misunderstanding because the shape-shifter accidentally trespassed. So, with a wave to the figure on the porch, Sem turned around and walked back.

It took a much shorter time to walk back, and soon enough the ship and the homestead were in sight. But they didn't go back on the ship. By now, they had deduced that the house either belonged to Captain Strider or belonged to someone who (hopefully) liked Strider. And in their defence, the Captain had not specifically said anything other than a grammatically incorrect statement about touching down.

Thus, the house was the next target of Sem's ramblings.

Pausing at the door, they (painfully) shifted into their female Cathar form -- the acute senses and relative combat-ready physiology would be helpful in case trouble appeared.

Once her muscles were finished shifting about, Sem sighed a breath of relief. It had been a long time since she was in this form, but again, it would work to her advantage should she face any heckling.

"Hello?" she called out, sniffing the air slightly. "Anybody here?" Her voice still sounded like it always did, but as a Cathar Sem noticed that a growling quality often underlay her tone, which had sometimes led to unintended confrontations with other feline- and canine-based species.

As he walked, Ydrin reached into the inner pocket of his jacket withdrawing a cigarette and a battered, but still shiny, silver Zippo lighter. Placing the cigarette between his lips Ydrin brought the lighter up to the end of the cigarette, ignoring the worried tones of Y8 as he tried to persuade his Master against his addiction. As had always happened since Ydrin first started to smoke Y8 tried to appeal to him as a friend first, concerned colleague second before trying to appeal to Ydrin's doctor side. As had always happened since he started Y8 failed.

Entering Engineering, Ydrin quirked an eyebrow as he replaced the Zippo within his pocket at Kayleigh's question, rolling up the sleeves of his jacket as Y8 came to a stop behind him, the red droid currently scanning the immediate area. Speaking around the smouldering cigarette, Ydrin answered the question the engineer had asked him.

"Why do you think I'm down here, m'lady?" Despite the fact the fact that he was no longer a part of nobility, Ydrin's habit on how he addressed women when not playing a role hadn't changed, the habit so ingraining within his psyche. "To help, of course. I haven't had a real change to get my hands dirty since I upgraded that heap of scrap," he tipped his head towards his droid, ignoring the sputtering rebuke that sounded weird coming from a usually calm droid if one wasn't accustomed to it, "with combat protocols. What do you need me t' do?"

Coming to a stop behind the woman he had been addressing Ydrin rocked back onto his heals, hands stuffed into the pockets of his leather jacket and a small smirk on his face as a stream on smoke curled around his features, highlighting his purple and mismatched eyes.

Kayleigh turned her head and looked up at [member="Ydrin"], then to his droid, Y8, with a smile. "I see! Well alright then! Happy to have all the help I can get." Her eyes glanced around the room, looking at the pretty fantastic mess that was present at the moment. "Well, your droid could be helpful in organizing all of the cabling that is currently running across the floor. It would be fantastic if we could get it run along the hull and up through the ceiling so that it's out of the way and nobody trips and kills themselves down here." She laughed, knowing full well she was partly responsible for the growing clutter. "I haven't had the time to get to that, and with everything we're doing today, I don't think I will get to it any time soon either."

She pointed towards Strider with a wipe of her brow to clear the pooling sweat away. "The Cap'n could maybe use some help with replacing parts of the electrical grid, if that's something you are comfortable with. Otherwise, you can help me replace a few of these diagnostic clusters that monitor the ship's thermal and electrical levels throughout the ship before we go and reset the ventilation system."

Slipping the jacket from his shoulders and chucking it over Y8's chassis, Ydrin rolled up his sleeves as he approached Kayleigh. "Well, my dead, you'll have to show me what to do, but I would be willing to assist you with your job."

Crouching down besides the female, Ydrin leant his weight backwards to turn his attention to Strider. "Capt'n, just to let you know, I'm going to require the crew to participate in a full medical check up soon so that I can begin to collect a data on you all. And I would appreciate if this could be done soon. Also, feel free to order Y8 around if you need assistance."

Without waiting for a reply, Ydrin returned his attention to the female engineer. "So, what do you need me doing?"

OOC Note:
Sorry if this post isn't so good. I wan't too sure what else to write, though.

Being a military man he new the importance of the medical inquiry that [member="Ydrin"] was suggesting. If he and his droid were to be effective in their role as medics aboard this ship they would need to know their patients inside out. Just as important as [member="Kayleigh Tyven"] knowing every inch of this ship. The problem was, getting his crew to volunteer to be poked and prodded. "I will see if i can get them to comply, I don't have that fancy force magic to compel them" He chuckled as he worked away at the electric panels with his hydrospanner. "In the mean time, you can help me remove these panels so we can see what we are working with"

The old man pointed towards the tool box where there was another hydrospanner "You know how to use one of those, doc?"
