- Center-Mass: The armor's helmet and breastplate were taken from an antique suit of Mandalorian Iron. Damage to the head or torso will usually prove ineffective.
- Storage Wars: The armor contains numerous bags and pouches placed throughout its structure, offering an excellent carrying capacity for small objects.
- Lightweight: Consisting mostly of armored fabrics and trophy accoutrements, this suit weighs relatively little, does not restrict its wearer's movements, and is comfortable to wear for long periods.
- Unprotective: Aside from the chestpiece and helmet, most of this armor isn't actually very armored. It provides fairly poor defense across the board.
- Stripped Systems: Given its age, none of the HUD elements or other electronic systems in the helmet function, and its wearer shows no interest in replacing them anytime soon.
DESCRIPTION
Occasionally, it behooves Neryn Ka to make his way to a variety of out-of-the-way places in search of one artifact or another. Many of these places won't respond kindly to a winged monster strutting around in public.
This armor was gradually and haphazardly assembled for the purposes of travelling incognito, while still providing a modicum of protection where it counts. Quite apart from the high-tech personalized armors of many Sith, this suit is relatively low tech, though comfortable to wear.
The innermost layer of this ragged panoply is surprisingly functional, consisting of a military-grade Shadeweave jumpsuit that provides minor protection against wear, cuts, and light small-arms fire. Most of the real protection is centered around the chest and head, and consists of portions of a set of antique Mandalorian Crusader armor.
The original owner of this component remains unknown, but they must certainly have been a person of stature; while time-worn, the helm and armor are ornate and decorated, bearing aspects of design that were antiquated even for the time period. Most of the armored portions have been discarded to allow for greater mobility; only the chestpiece remains to protect the wearer's vitals. The helmet is also occasionally retained, though this is generally worn only when Neryn wishes not to make his identity known (or is particularly worried about snipers). More commonly, this suit is worn alongside Neryn's ceremonial mask.
The pauldrons are mismatched, pillaged from the corpse of a Gamorrean warrior (right) and an Imperial mercenary (Left) respectively.
The right shoulderplate is largely concealed by a torn Sephi funerary shroud, stolen from a museum and worn as a hooded cloak. This particular portion has seen plenty of battle damage already, and hangs ragged and torn. Only occasionally does its owner bother to patch it.
A lower portion of cloth, attached to the breastplate and worn as a sort of short skirt or kama around the wearer's abdomen/waist, was taken from the corpse of an unknown civilian during the Sith Order's assault on Lianna. It is speculated to have had religious purposes, but fire damage has largely obscured and blackened whatever symbols it once bore.
The pants are one of only two pieces that can claim modern military origin. These are made of plain brown-dyed Shadeweave, though regularly patched and tied with other fabrics. The boots are simple leather, taken without ceremony from a man Neryn killed in a barfight during his early explorations.
The entire package is fairly unprotective, but serves as a living collection of the wearer's various thieving exploits.
