Name: Adi'vak Renlor Ioren ["Renly" to his family]
Loyalties: Mandalorian Clans, Clan Ioren, GLF Inc
Role: Adi'vak Ioren is an integral part to the establishment of the Ioren Clan Beskar Mines on Mandalore. Standing as the NPC Alor of Clan Ioren, Adi'vak maintains the mines and provides supplies to his clan and those who wish to work within the mines through the Marrow & Illskins shop found within them. He is the employer of [member="Melfa Exmoore"] and will likely produce small projects and items made of Beskar specifically to sell to his fellow Mandalorians via his shop.

Development Threads: Swiss Army Mando

Age: 64
Species: Human

Appearance: Standing at only 5'8'', Adi'vak was never a man of imposing stature. With a stocky build the man was a capable warrior in his youth and prime and has maintained his strength well into his silver years. A sixth generation Mandalorian, Adi'vak comes from a proud and long-lived legacy of Ioren clan miners and warriors. He has many scars to his name and a slight limp to his walk.

A full mane of bright white hair crowns the man's head, the color outlining his jaw in a thick beard and mustache. He has a stoic nature about him that wrongfully gives off the impression that he is disgruntled and sour, likely from the many wrinkles set into his expression. He has eyes of bright, glacier blue that have yet to lose their glint of youth. Often he can be found in light miner's clothing or leathers - preferring not to encumber himself while working in confined spaces. For public appearances he has a full set of Mandalorian armor as scar-riddled and pock-marked from war as he is. It's in decent shape and cleans up well enough after all these years but certainly fits a little looser in certain areas where the aging man has lost muscle mass.

A large scar runs diagonally across his face from his brow, across the bridge of his nose and down into the opposite cheekbone. It was the result of a duel against the beast that killed his wife - a badge of honor for gaining justice that he wears with a great deal of pride and pain.

Personality: Adi'vak is actually a rather bright and amiable fellow. He's given to smoking cigars and making light of his fellow Manda and has a penchant for cracking jokes at the expense of others. He'll also be the first to help another in need and is about as generous as they come when the situation calls for it. Adi'vak has taken in many Mandalorian orphans, given them a place to live, a clan to call family, a job to earn their keep within the mines, and taught them the things they needed to know in order to become an admirable citizen of Mandalore.

A venerable sort, Adi'vak is rather unflappable for most things excepting in the cases where his family is concerned or where his loyalty might be called into question. A staunch supporter of the old Mandalorian traditions and Codex, he follows them as best he can and insists that his clan members do the same.

Adi'vak has a quiet respect for Force Users. While not one himself he has seen far too many things to simply dismiss their power. He's not outlawed Force Users from Clan Ioren but he expects them not to cause trouble and can be less forgiving with them than with those who are not blessed with Force sensitivity.

Force Sensitivity: NFU

Weapon of Choice: He's handy with a sword, a blaster, and his fists but mostly Adi'vak finds a pick and mining machinery to be his best tools. There comes a time when every man must concede to age, he's simply pushed that concession off for work rather than war.

Skills: In his prime Adi'vak was a respectable warrior with meelee, ranged, and sword-wielding capabilities. At his present age and practice he might only boast half as much skill as he once had, which given the right sort of opponent could still be deadly. His present day skillset sits a bit more squarely in his leadership abilities and his nose for finding hotspots of beskar in the Deeps of the Ioren Mines. He's handy in the forge and has a lifetime of experience at working Beskar into armor, weapons, and the like.

Wealth: Adi'vak can speak of a notable wealth that allows him to maintain and care for his rather large clan and the home they keep. Though the Beskar mines do not produce like they used to in their hayday, newly opened mines in the Blood Trenches have produced a fresh and healthy flow of credits that will allow Clan Ioren to rejuvenate their home mine town of Junction. Adi'vak, however, is a bit of a penny pincher and prefers to spend only when and where necessary.

Combat Function: Though he has a strong mind for battle strategy, Adi'vak holds little use on the front lines anymore. He's apt to send his sons forward and command them into place rather than take the stand himself simply for knowing his own physical limitations with old age. Given no choice, Adi'vak will fight with the tenacity of a raltiir tiger though his strength and speed isn't what it used to be.

Notable Possessions: As the Alor of Clan Ioren, Adi'vak owns the historical and expansive system of Ioren Beskar Mines on Mandalore.

History:
Adi'vak Renlor Ioren, first son of Adi'lorek, first son of Adi'ren, ... etc.

The tradition of the namesake has lasted for seven generations, following the inheritance of the Ioren Clan Beskar Mines originally founded and opened by Adi'vak's great-great-great-grandfather Adi'mirak long before the Gulag Plague ravaged the galaxy. The Clan and their mines have seen their share of ups and downs over the last several hundred years, including a large surge of wealth followed almost immediately by a large surge of battle for the prime real estate that was the Ioren Mines. Due to this the Ioren's have a long standing tradition of creating large families to help support the clan both in the back-breaking work required to keep the mines operational and the skull-breaking work required to keep rival clans out of said mines. In times of strife the Ioren Clan has shown to be particularly resistant to turmoil and has produced a long line of strong Alor leaders raised on ironclad Mandalorian traditions.

By the time Adi'vak gained his family inheritance the mines had nearly been bled dry. Fifty years before he was set to take the stage as Alor his grandfather Adi'ren Ioren faced the grave decision of closing up shop and moving his family or remaining in what was thought to be barren mines. Adi'ren's son, Adi'lorek, refused to give up and insisted on staying. Lorek was determined to retake a tunnel in the Deeps call the Blood Trench where many a miner had lost their life combatting against the scourge of the deep tunnels and the bloodthirsty creatures that inhabited them. Certain that another vein of beskar could be found he stayed with a small team of his brothers and clan members while Adi'ren took the bulk of the clan out into the valleys to sort out a new path of livelihood.

Adi'vak stayed with his father - only 12 years of age but a fierce believer in the old wives tales of the mines of the Deeps rich with Beskar ore. They spent the better part of two decades carving out the Blood Trenches and retaking the underground tunnels. Adi'vak's father lived just long enough to hear the cry that a fresh vein had been discovered, he died shortly afterwards due to complications from severe injuries sustained during a tunnel collapse. Adi'vak sent out word to his grandfather to call the clanspeople home. Ren returned with a host of new faces for the clan, among them was a young Mandalorian woman named Firensa who was as brutal with a war axe as she was with a butcher's knife. They say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but Firensa managed to get there with a well-placed swing of her weapon. Adi'vak still has the scars on his chest and he remembers that day fondly.

They had three sons: Adi'marr (41), Var'omek (32), and De'vosin (27), as well a large host of grandchildren, brothers, a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. Adi'vak lost his wife during a siege against a nest of mine beasts about five years ago.

After his grandfather passed away at the ripe old age of 82, Adi'vak took up the mantle of Clan Alor and turned his efforts into securing the Blood Trenches to reopen three more tunnels down into the main new beskar vein. It's a slow process but his Clan is dedicated to restoring the glory of the name Ioren.

Intent: To provide a basis of story and history for others within the Mandalorian Clans to use for when I submit the mines as well as the shop. Also to expand upon the setting of the Ioren Mines where [member="Melfa Exmoore"] will be based out of.
