TRAITS:
Noblesse Oblige: Giselle is a lady, born and bred. She believes it is her duty to be generous and courteous to others, especially those who are less well off than her. This tendency has made her well-liked by the common folk, but it is also relatively easy to take advantage of her generosity.
The Soul of Wit: Being witty and charming comes naturally to Giselle, though her subtle remarks can be harsh and cutting.
Ukatian: Being Ukatian, Giselle shares their cultural perspective. While equal rights and other progressive views are not totally alien concepts, for the most part she finds them laughable and irrelevant to her world and its people.
Privileged: Giselle is used to getting her way and could be considered quite spoiled. But it should also be noted that Ukatis is poor and isolated enough that even its upper class would be considered impoverished and uncivilized by much of the rest of the galaxy. Giselle is a reflection of this curious dichotomy.
Pride & Prejudice: With all of her interactions with offworlders having been overwhelmingly negative and rumors swirling about the GA's involvement in the heir's death, Giselle's opinion of non-Ukatians has become very negative. Her pride and prejudice cause her to take any criticism of Ukatis personally.
Out of Shape: Giselle is not used to strenuous physical activity. Combat is out of the question; if she is required to run for any lengthy period of time, she will quickly run out of breath.
Allergic to Bacta: The galaxy's most commonly used healing substance causes intense pain and a nasty allergic reaction. If it is not removed quickly from her body, Giselle could go into shock and die.
PRE-RP HISTORY:
Giselle is the daughter of Vultan and Amanoa von Ascania, a branch of the noble House Ascania of Ukatis. She is an only child (her mother's other children all having died in infancy) and was raised in the lap of luxury on her family's estate in the region of Rungholt. Upon coming of age, she was sent to the court of the King of Ukatis in order to seek out a husband. She was briefly betrothed to Baron Hans von Dessau, but broke off the engagement after his poor behavior created a scandal.
Upon Ukatis' induction into the Alliance, her father Vultan briefly served as the planet's representative in the Senate. Sadly, Vultan was killed during the Mandalorian invasion. Ukatian laws of succession dictate that the heir of a political figure inherit their position, and since Giselle is Vultan's only child, she is now the Senator of Ukatis. An unexpected development, to be sure, but an intriguing one for the young woman...
