Public Ghosts of the Past [ vs. SJE/OPA]

we shall all die willingly
Many things had happened after the fall of the First Order. Many fled to serve the doctrine of the Emperor of the Sith Empire, others turned to mercenary outfits and there were those like Therran Graush. Proud, full of ego and with an unbreakable will to reign. He turned to asymmetric warfare against the thugs of the Outer Rim who devoured the systems of the Order after its collapse. Finally out of his cousin Asharad Graush's shadow, Therran sought to accumulate power and rule himself.

And so a small sized fleet mixed of First Imperial vessels and those of mercenaries appeared over Svivren's orbit eclipsing the planet (hyperbole). The shadow it threw over the planet sought to consume and eradicate the shimmering candle flame of the Svivren Jedi Enclave before it became a bastion and beacon of light for the entire Outer Rim and eventually the galaxy. Funded by the rich coffers of the Graush dynasty, former Imperials in the form of the notorious First Order stormtroopers and officers donned their armors and uniforms for a righteous vengeance against the Outer Planets Alliance. Supplemented by bloodthirsty criminals such as pirate bands and mercenary outfits seeking the quick coin, Graush's small armada descended upon the planet.

Turbolaser fire was indiscriminate - military and civilian targets were all the same.

The thugs of Graush's forces - mercenaries and pirates - were sent to the capital of Svivren Wrils where they aimed to pay their own fees by plundering the capital and looting its population from the richest to the poorest.

Meanwhile, the loyal and indoctrinated former First Order stormtroopers were deployed in the perimeter of the Svivren Jedi Enclave along with their leader - Therran himself. Their shuttles descended amidst the fire from above that rained upon the Enclave and its Jedi habitats.

Through the smoke and ash of scorched earth, and the zealous blaster fire of stormtroopers, a red lightsaber materialized.

Graush was here.

A-PVP) Bulk of stormtroopers and Therran storm the Jedi Enclave itself. Want to party with a Jedi? Come right up, you dirty Jedi hater.
B-PVE) Mercs and pirates and similar opportunists plunder Wrils, the capital city of Svivren. Good folks, pacifist peeps - y'all help the poor civilians who are helpless to the vicious onslaught.

Caedyn Arenais stood within the Enclave courtyard looking skyward in disbelief while the first of the hostile craft came into sight and soon enough a flash of light accompanied by an immediate sense of danger cried out to him, the warning in the Force silent to others but those whom were also practiced and learned in communion with the light.

"Get everyone inside, now!" Caedyn's attention turned to the nearest of his fellow Jedi Knights, desperately calling their instruction in the hope of safeguarding as many students as possible; "Ready the Guard, we're under attack!". Turbo-laser fire slammed into the Enclave grounds, shaking the earth and throwing Caedyn off of his feet. His people scrambled, while he tried to force himself back up and head on inside, pulling his comm-link from his belt and triggering an Enclave-Wide Broadcast.

"This is Caedyn Arenais, the Enclave is under attack. All junior students are to report immediately to the Dorms for further instructions. Senior Students report to your Mentors. I want all non-essential staff to the Enclave Hall; report to me and come armed".

Already Caedyn was rushing for his personal quarters, moving first to gather his field equipment and then heading for the main hall that served as the first great room all guests would enter upon stepping into the Enclave. It was where his staff would meet him, and then together they would move to combat whoever was responsible for this act of hostility.

This wasn't the first time in the passed week that Caedyn had been targeted, though this was on a much grander scale. Only recently on Faldos had the First Order sought to send an assassin to take his life...-And now this. It was clear to him that the return of a unified Jedi presence in the Outer Rim was a threat to those whom sought to stand against peace and justice in the Galaxy. This was his home, and while it wasn't Caedyn's first battle, there were people around him that depended upon his leadership and his strength.

The first real trial that he was to face as Steward of the Enclave...

Reports were coming in over the Comm's that Wrils was also suffering from the invading Forces, forcing Caedyn to pause in shock. The Capital City was population heavy, the possible casualties could be fierce if they weren't met with resistance. "I want all Jedi not active in the Enclave to move on the Capital and help the locals protect the City. Repeat, all personnel in the field on-world, report immediately to Wrils!".

It was at this point. Aaran was beginning to believe that The Force seemed to enjoy throwing him into such situations. not even a day. Barely a few hours after he arrived at this planet did the alarm start blaring. And things were going so well. The other Jedi were friendly. Grateful to see that other members of the Silver Order arrive. Aaran himself happy to take any messages or requests back to Kashyyyk. The more jedi that stood against the darkness, the better they could defend against it.

He had arrived for such simple reasons. Naturally his explorations of the Outer Rim and the territories surrounding it brought rumour of this Enclave to his ears. Naturally, Aaran sought it out. It was good to see a more unified Jedi presence in the less civilised portions of the Galaxy. In all his explorations during the past few months. He could tell that a greater presence in some of the more isolated worlds was badly needed.

Criminals, pirates, resurgent orders of milatant lunatics. All of them were gathering in the dark corners of the Galaxy. There was a tension in the air. A gathering of an even greater coming storm was on the horizon. It was good to know that other Jedi were preparing themselves for it.

Striding into the Enclave hall, fastening his gauntlet onto his hand. Aaran gave a single nod towards Caedyn Arenais . "Keeper Arenais." He said, nodding once. The symbol of his order emblazoned on his shoulderpad showing that he was not one of his direct subondinates. But willing to help all the same. "Padawan Tafo." He said, giving a curt introduction, before turning his gaze towards the entrance.

"Your orders." He said, allowing the more senior member to take command. Letting a soft exhale come from his nose as he centered himself and his emotions. Focusing his mind as he mentally prepared himself for the coming battle. Oh how he despised killing. Each loss of life in such a violent way was a tragedy. Sadly, war did not allow for the luxary of such ways. In the heat of battle, in the middle of a war. He would have to make such decisions. To take some lives in order to spare many others.

And how Aaran hated taking the lesser evil. But, the Galaxy was not a fair place. And he would be forced to deal with that. "How many do you think will come here?" He asked aloud, pulling his saber from his belt, but not igniting it. Not yet. Hopefully, the united front of Jedi would be able to quickly break the attack so that the civillians could be properly protected.

This moment had been long awaited by the DIB. After learning that a raid had taken place in Svivren , Capital of the Jedi Enclave of Svivren James Cerensp was tasked by Natian Sanorge to head to Svivren and to assist the Ex-First Order Mercenaries in conducting the attack on the Jedi Enclave. The main reason for why Nation Sanorge wanted the DIB involved was to test the resolve of the Jedi in general in anticipation for a future raid on a distant planet in Wild Space on a Jedi-Aligned Planet. This Raid would test th DIB's performance against the Jedi and would ensure the success of their panned strike on the Jedi-Aligned planet within Wild Space

Soon James Cerensp's Subjugator-Class Star Destroyer the Enforcer jumped out of hyperspace in orbit of the planer. "Sir we have arrived at the Svivren System" said the Captain of the Enforcer. "Good prepare my shuttle and have the Enforcer jump out of the system into neutral space." ordered James. The mission was top secret and only a small Platoon of Directorate Supercommandos would be involved. Soon James left the bridge of the Enforcer and headed for the Hangar where 23 Supercommandos awaited him in front of a simple Star Commuter 2000 Shuttle. Soon James and his men would board the shuttle as it left for the surface below while the Enforcer quickly jumped into hyperspace to neutral space.

James Cerensp's Shuttle soon landed in proximity from the Jedi Enclave a few meters away from the Main force of ex-First Order Troopers. Soon James and his men decended from the shuttle , fully armed and ready as James and his troops carefully approached the Enclave using its forestial surroundings to mask their approach.

Griet just wasn't one's run-of-the-mill Jedi: she came back to Svivren on a special assurance engagement that was a review of AR, AP and inventory. The client engaged the firm because of bank negligence: whereas, in the past, the bank requested an audit, they were now willing to accept unaudited financial statements. However, the client obtained a compilation, believing it to be cheaper than a full-on review. Sure, there was the need to perform analytical procedures on AR/AP and inventory, but all other items required of a special review would have to wait until later since the city came under attack. With that said, Griet then made for the rooftop of the client's premises, wielding that massive rifle, set to sniping for now. But as soon as she could spot hostiles, she would stand ready to fire an armor-piercing round at incoming pirates. They would never expect Jedi to use armor-piercing rifles at such a long range, she thought, while aiming the rifle towards a pirate that started smashing windows.

All Hail Graush, All Hail Sieger, Long Live the First Order Mežsrožu arrived on the Wrils with little fanfare. Graush's forces served as a distraction from the smaller strike teams that began their descent. Over two years ago this would not have been part of her plans, or at the very least she would have taken up arms against the First Order and the Ren. That was in the past, and now she knew better she knew now her purpose in the Galaxy. Her purpose was see to her Father's will and legacy to ensure that they survived and that meant ensuring that those who served his cause could once again spread word of her Father's heroism.
Bringing the Unknown Regions into a civilized age, leading them to greatness even now he spoke to her. She could hear him through the Force as he spoke just like he spoke to her when she laid in the bacta tank. His voice served to guide her then as it does now, she had forsaken her Father's wisdom. Forsaken his teachings when she ran away from him and her brothers and sisters, a mistake she would not make again. Now she knew, she knew just how selfish the Jedi truly were and that they were the cause of the Galaxy's current state for without them Order could reign.
A small strike team of soldiers flanked either side of Mežsrožu as they headed toward the compound. Mežsrožu's healthy eye and the full-black Alien eye that occupied the other socket surveyed their approach and called for a halt. "There," she gestured toward an entrance that seemed to be the path of less resistance. "Let us hope Graush can hold their focus just long enough for us to get in."

A feeling of unease slowly crept up on Amilthi as she was meditating, a feeling that things were wrong. She inspected it objectively, carefully, ensuring that she did not give in to the anxiety it provoked. It refused to reveal a concrete object at first, pervaded the space of her awareness indistinctly, and was not accompanied by any urge for action.

Amilthi focussed on the spatial quality of her consciousness and sought to extend it not only beyond her own body, but beyond the room she was in as well, beyond the Enclave itself even. She did not focus on any particular region, quickly brushed over the objects whose presence suggested itself here and there in a purely felt, non-visual way. She didn't actually know where or what it was she was feeling, and it would have been disorienting if it had been the first time she had such an experiences. She merely strove further outward, no matter where - letting her attention extend and fall wherever it might.

Suddenly, she was hit by a pang of unlocalised, purely mental pain that was accompanied by a feeling of panic arising. Amilthi noted it, still not moving an inch. She noted it, investigated it, and recognised it. She had an awareness of a multitude of hostile, violent beings, sentient beings that were bent on destruction. It was a feeling she had not felt in a long time, the feeling of war. Here, on Svivren. Why?

Disbelief, despair, panic, indignation, anger - they all began to swirl in her mind, Amilthi noticed and noted them all as tendencies, and indulged none of them. Ultimately, all of this was just one of the many events that constituted the universe and that had to be dealt with, there was no point in raging against them just as there was no reason to simply surrender. One did what needed to be done, and that was all. Whether it was preparing a meal, washing one's clothes, or defending others from a violent attack. Her feelings about it didn't disappear - and yet she was at peace with anything that might happen.

She managed to get as far as the hallway before she heard Caedyn Arenais' voice through the Enclave's central communications system. Amilthi reflected on what her place was. Not with the younglings - she was simply not the right person to give them comfort and keep them calm. Nor did she have a student to whom she bore a particular personal responsibility. There was no way around the obvious conclusion that her duty was to be on the front lines - as it had not been in well over a decade. She was about to direct her steps to the main hall where the young Arenais was trying to gather the knights of the Enclave - and then, on a whim, turned around.

She ran to the dormitories, and through them, and just before stepping on the stairs, her eyes fell on the door at the end of the corridor. She stopped in her tracks and spent a moment observing her feelings about the situation. Something about that door worried her. It led to a field with a slight slope down the hill, probably fifty metres away from the tree line. Except for its slope, the field would make for a good landing area. It was a solid door, and it would withstand some fire, but perhaps not a few well-placed explosives. The fact that it was undefended bothered her.

She approached it with slow, deliberate steps.

The Jedi were Kyrel's enemies, too long had they been his enemies, and now to hear that the line of Graush was leading the attack against a Jedi Outpost. It was music to Kyrel's ears, the sounds of blaster fire, of screams, and explosions. It had excited him far more than he cared to admit. He had known this for many years, conquest was in his blood. Strife and violence was both the nature of the dark side and the Ren. Kyrel was good at it, and now some could take this as a holy sign of the second coming of the First Order, whispers had stirred for two years of the remnants that lingered in the Western Reaches of the fallen empire. Slowly that empire had begun to make moves towards its glorious resurrection.

Kyrel clad in his dark armor as he infiltrated the Jedi Outpost, several Stormtroopers clad in Red armor had accompanied him. His saberstaff removed from his belt, as he wandered into what would be a place of learning for most Jedi, that of their Archives. Records and artifacts they kept were stored here. For what Ren desired, he desired the forbidden knowledge they kept. Be it Ren or Sith artifacts to which they kept. As far as he knew he would remain unchallenged as the Master of Ren plundered

Kyrel moved in for the assault. Cutting down what guards they had one grounds with ease. As the Red armored Stormtroopers laid suppressing fire. Kyrel found himself charging a Jedi and tackling them down with brute force alone. As he imposed him with one active side of the staff. His target being that of the Archives for dark side knowledge. As he started to cut a hole open through one of the secure blast doors. Leading into the opening of the Outpost.

Other First Order assets moved towards the Enclave through other positions, utilizing Therran's high profile 'entry' as a distraction. He could maintain that. Similar to his cousin, the dark side of the Force stemmed from him naturally drawing the Light.

He pushed on forward to meet the Jedi's defenses and drag them towards him.

Blaster bolts ricocheted off his Force barrier and when Therran's gaze fell upon their sources his arm snapped at them unleashing a brutal telekinetic blast capable of tearing a tree from its roots.

As if to further draw the valiant defenders of the Light, Graush grabbed at the air before him and focused at the roof of the hangar in front. He threw himself into the ethereal and bid the dark side to his will. And it answered. With a terrible screech the roof began to give in. A section of it collapsed beneath but an accurate bolt burned into his shoulder interrupting further damage.

"Push."

His growl would be heard in the minds of both Mishel and Kyrel.

Mežsrožu focused on the door and turned to look to each of the Stormtroopers with her. Four of them who only introduced themselves by numbers they simply referred to her as Ren. At one point that name meant nothing to her she wanted to tear herself free of its chains. It was only after two years under the direct supervision of both Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex and Taeli Raaf Taeli Raaf in a holding cell being tortured that she knew now that all she had done was turn away from the only family that cared.
"FN-3149 lay the charges, FN-3152 cover for him, you two with me as we charge." She ordered rifling through her satchel bag she handed the man in onyx plastoid armor the thermals. He waited for the patrols to move before rushing out with his squadmate. Mežsrožu in her own armor, approached the door just as FN-3149 readied the charge. He needn't wait for the Ren's orders he and his squadmate blew the door once they were ready the explosion would've rocked the localized area smoke and debris billowed into the hall and as it began to clear Mežsrožu and her strike team were inside.
She smiled inwardly knowing that somewhere in the Force, her Father - Sieger Ren himself was smiling. His prodigal child had returned, Mežsrožu's thoughts formed as she marched with her Stormtroopers. I failed you once, Father. I shall not fail you again, your Empire will live once again and so will your name. All systems will learn to fear us once more, they will bow or they will die. She gritted her teeth as the rage she felt emanated from within and like a poison, it slowly crept along the wavelengths of the Force. It would not take long for her to find a Jedi her lips curled upward. "FN-3156, take point with the squad I'll link back up with you soon enough."

Once they had been dispatched she looked over toward the Jedi and smiled.

Within the grand hall of the Jedi Enclave Caedyn stood before a mix senior students, Jedi Knights and Masters as well as the Temple Guard that stood watch over the facility. Many of them had questions, and none of them had expected an attack so soon into the formation of the Svivren branch of the Order; Yet here they all were, ready to face whatever had come for them and to put their faith in the Force.

"Our motion sensors suggest this isn't a large scale invasion force" Caedyn answered Aaran Tafo Aaran Tafo 's question first, "but we need to be vigilant. They've come to take the Enclave, but they won't get far without a fight" the young Jedi Knight exclaimed. Adrenaline was already rushing through him, the anticipation of a hard battle and possible death didn't help his wish to stay calm, however he persevered and sought not to let it show to his peers. To let himself give into his anxiety and fears would otherwise lead to a mistake in the field, or misguided instruction that could result in the further loss of life there.

"We will meet them outside, all senior personal on me. All Padawan are to follow the instructions of their Masters" he informed the group, drawing his lightsaber from his belt and looking to the entrance, trying to mentally prepare himself. "We may not be a large Enclave, but show them we're not to be underestimated!" He called, rallying everyone as best he could before moving to push his way out into the open air.

Caedyn's lightsaber was the first to flare up into ignition, the cyan blue blade raising before him as blasterfire rushed their way. Deflecting several shots in quick succession of one another, he pushed forward to greet their invaders, his emotions pushed to the back of his mind while his instincts would be guided by the Force, and the heat of the moment gave little time for reverie.

Scum. The cruel. The deprave. Those that sought material wealth at the expense of all else. Creatures bereft of purpose or conviction. They churned the Justicar's stomach. Yet she understood their purpose here. The enemy was not powerless, and their number not as it had been long ago. Sheer numbers would not win the day, but they would prove cover, distraction, and perhaps if they were so lucky aid in decreasing the enemy force.

She understood, and so the sentencing for crimes committed was commuted...

The cry of an unarmed, woman rang out in the chaos that filled the once thriving streets of people that went about their business. While most were content with larceny and burglary, some thought to seek payment in less tangible forms or in pounds of flesh. Their gaits were slow, except to corral a victim. The leers accompanied by chuckles born of superior position and greater physical strength. A strong hand quickly seized an arm unmoved by alarm and terror that followed.

A gloved hand took hold of the pirate's wrist. The grasp pinched the muscles and nerves there with a sharp, shooting pain sent along the length of the limb. "Loot what you will, but do not touch the civilians," a vocalized voice grated in the man's ear. What appeared to be a Mandalorian stood just behind the pirate, only the visor of this warrior had a distinctly sinister glow.

"Don't touch--" Another sharp pain caused him to lose his grip and the woman drew a step back. Not that she'd go far with the rest of his number there to cut off the escape. "I don't care who you are, this is how we're getting paid for our services. So shove your honor, your code, whatever and get the kark out of here."

A blade of violet sprang into being when one of his cohorts drew a blaster. With a loud hum and a sharp sizzle, the lightsaber severed the weapon's barrel from its body. All it took was a single step. The Justicar pivoted on her heel to direct that blade back toward what passed for a leader of the rabble. Another blaster ruined. Finally, a violet shoto saber ignited with its tip held just shot of the underside of the man's jaw.

"Your insubordination has resulted in the loss of two blasters. Vanish, before you lose more."

The armored figure stood fast as the assembly fled into the city. Both sabers were then at peace and replaced at either hip. Gratitude caused the helm to turn in the direction of the woman saved. And a child that peered out from behind her. It was not for their sake the Justicar had intervened, however. Ascenda would not bother responding; rather, she would continue on her path toward the City's seat of governance. Sentencing had been commuted, but that was no excuse to let scum tarnish their name. Sheer necessity demanded their use, but one day such services would no longer be required.

With many other groups , James Cerensp ordered his men to begin moving towards the side of the Jedi Enclave knowing that the Main Battle would occur from the entrance in which would enable James Cerensp to blast throgh the walls of the side of the Enclave and move behind the foolish Jedi and defeat them.

Once the troops were in position , James Cerensp placed the detonators on the wall and found cover. As they detonated , James Cerensp and his men entered the building encountering a simple Temple Guard with James quickly killing him before he could act. Now inside the Enclave James and his men would only need to move behind the positions of the Jedi and ambush them to with James ordering his men to move into one of the rooms nearby in preparation for their attack.

Meanwhile in a nearby system on board of the Enforcer Captain Henry Austin watched the events unfold through a probe Droid located near the Jedi Enclave. In the senario that James Cerensp's forces would get defeated Austin was tasked in quckpy moving his ship into orbit of Svivren and to send reinforcements to aid Cerensp. But for now Austin could sit down and relax as a huge battle was in the point of starting.

His saber igniting a moment after the Steward's. Aaran stood in the center of the eye of the storm that was his conflicting emotions. Closing his eyes. He centered himself. Opening himself to the natural peace and tranquilty of the Nexus. He did not move as the other Jedi surged around him. Eager to fight in defense of their home. His blade began to rise as he held it horizontally. The hilt close to his chin. Remaining still as several Jedi surged around him, a few turning back to give him an odd look before continuing onwards.

This is where the greatest concentration of Jedi where. So why would everyone come through the front entrance? While he could admit that some Darksiders would simply seek conflict with those who walked in the Light. Ultimately, the First Order was a military organisation. That included military tactics. The most basic of these was flanking.

Almost on a whim. Aaran exteneded his senses around the Enclave itself. Drawing on the Nexus to help him deepen his connection to the Living Force around him and those within the Enclave's walls. And just barely, on the edge of his senses. He could feel it. The hidden hostile intent, buried under layers upon layers of discipline.

"Behind!" He announced, already moving backwards away from the main entrance. Saber trailing behind him as he moved. With a wave of his hand. The door the same room that James Cerensp and his men were hiding in opened. And entering in a blur. His saber spinning in an arc around him to deflect several shots. Aaran rolled into the room. Coming up into a crouch amongst the men.

"One offer. One chance." He announced, standing to his full height. Looming over several of the Stormtroopers. A solid wall of hulking muscle, the flickering light above casting shadows over his eyes. The bright silver blade in his hands glaming with dangerous intent. "Surrender and remain unharmed." He said, shifting his saber and readjusting his weight until he stood in the opening stance of Soresu.

The look of clarity and focus in his eyes was more than enough to indicate to the Stormtroopers what the Padawan would attempt if they did not accept his offer of mercy.

Of course, taking aim was necessary to avoid accidentally hitting civilians. Now that she had a better idea of what she was dealing with, there was a familiar feeling that she already encountered as far back as Terminus, even causing some to get hit by a Neural Storm. Why is it that I'm always stuck with the clients that operate in the areas with the highest security threats? she thought. However, that person was elsewhere, out of range: the thug of interest was headed towards the City Hall. Or what other name the locals gave to the center of government in the city. That thug was different from the others: maybe an electromagnetic plasma shot would force the thug to change plans. Firing EM plasma would cause the plasma inside the lightsaber to splash around should the thug attempt to use a lightsaber to deflect it, thanks to magnetic reconnection. Amid civilians panicking in the face of systematic vandalism, and fleeing every which way, or hiding, her window of opportunity to fire was highly volatile at best.

Yet, there was a factor to consider: the thugs seemed to be concentrated in a specific area of the city and the thug of interest was headed towards another location. Once she sensed a window of opportunity to fire at the armored thug ( Justicar Ascenda Justicar Ascenda ) from a rooftop, she did so without hesitation and then a white-hot, armor-piercing EM plasma bolt was fired its way at high velocity. And she was ready to move out of that vantage point as soon as needed of her.

The attack came on strong, with a series of orbital blasts to weaken any external defenses. Alarms raised in response, but Wyatt remained quiet - meditating in the room he had been given for his time here; he knew the had no authority to mount the defense, so he let those who needed to do what they had to do. He would fill the gap, wherever it was needed.
As the meditation passed, he could sense something through the noise and static of combat - a dark titan moving with intent to the archives. To pillage, to steal from it forbidden knowledge long since held in the Enclave for the safety of the Galaxy - and Wyatt understood quickly that this was more a threat than was acceptable. The Jedi Master lifted himself from the bed, grabbed his lightsaber, and moved through the facility -
There was someone he had to meet.
---
The door had long since stopped working, the orbital bombardment forcing the blast doors shut while its internal mechanisms were shaken and stirred to malfunction. Wyatt watched however, that any attempt at truly opening the door was abandoned for the sake of a lightsaber cutting it down. He waited, resting on his knees down the hallway - waiting for the titan to enter the Enclave.
When it was finally opened, Wyatt looked to the opponent he would face - and while it was a man he had never met, he could sense a familiarity in the Force. He’d killed many a Jedi, and many more innocents. A clenched jaw, a pierced lip, and he slowly stood to his full height - dropping his robes aside and rolling up his sleeves.
I assume you were the one who came for the Archives.”, he said quietly, sternly.
My name is Wyatt Morga. If you would be willing… I’d like your name.”
When he was done, he pulled his lightsaber to his hand with the Force and ignited, washing the rest of the room in a harsh blue light to dichotomize his own crimson.

The city was in the appropriate amount of disarray given the circumstances. Civilians fled, panicked by the orbital bombardment earlier and the presence of the rampaging horde of scum in the area. A pleasant enough distraction, perhaps, to lure some Jedi away from their enclave. In addition to making sure the hired help didn't demolish their reputation before they had a chance to rebuild it, the Justicar likewise sought to occupy the Jedi in the city. After all, those under the same banner did not need to be pinned between Jedi both in front and behind as they greedily forged their way inside.

Her steps brought her ever closer to the heart of the city. If there were Jedi they had likely been stationed there; perhaps as an advisor or bringing some cause to light before the ruling body. It did not matter how or why, only that she keep them occupied -- if the chaos in the city was insufficient to do so.

A long-range assault was not unexpected, though the Justicar had hoped any that opposed her would do so in person. That it was one of the Jedi would have been a surprise, but it hardly mattered how uncanny their aim might be bolstered by the Force. Fortunately, tutaminis was a skill the Dark Side-trained agent knew well. How many sad souls had sought to deny justice by attempting to kill her from afar when they lacked the skill to do so in honorable combat? The armored figure stopped in her tracks, and her right hand whipped up as though to deflect a physical blow. A bolt of white-hot plasma streaked through the air just beside the Justicar as the Force sought to rip it off course.

It occurred to Ascenda as the bolt sailed by that such a potent weapon might threaten the integrity of her armor. Confronted with this possibility, she refrained from resuming her advance for the moment. The bolt had been sensed nearly at the last moment; only its general direction of origin had been deduced. She sought to reach out with her senses to feel how many opponents she might be facing, and to remain prepared if further assaults followed.

"The Jedi are advised to leave this planet immediately," the Justicar sent openly to whoever was in the area unappreciative of Ascenda's presence. "Or to see to the needs of this city's populace." Either one would suffice. You could not let a city burn to the ground, after all. The Justicar would show no mercy to any Jedi that failed to uphold their belief in protecting the innocent, uplifting the downtrodden, or whatever other philosophy a particular enclave touted.

Amilthi flinched as the explosion sent a wave of dust and smoke towards her through the corridor, her eyes blinked, and yet, even as her body reacted on its own terms, her mind remained steadfast and tranquil, awaiting whatever might come. Her hand reached for her lightsaber, but she did not yet activate it.

Seconds passed. Amilthi tilted her head, looking at the opening that was slowly coming in sight. Oddly enough, what came was not a barrage of blaster shots, nor grenades fired into the hallways. The very faint noise of distant blaster fire entered from outside, mixed with steps much closer. A female voice was to be heard dimly, but Amilthi couldn't make out any words.

The woman's silhouette became visible through the settling dust as she strode forward into the hallway. Everything about her radiated excitement, energy, and anger. And beneath it all, there was anguish. Why, one could not tell. This was someone who longed for peace and was trapped in the idea that it required war.

Amilthi stood there, motionless, her features blank, and said nothing. There was nothing to say. Whoever this woman was, in her present state, she would not, could not, listen.

You will find no glory here, discordant tones bore their way into Therran Graush's mind forming a melody that somehow translated into intelligent thought, Only senseless death.

Oros was not a warrior but deep within the academy archives the Jedi Sage was hardly defenseless. Drawing upon the Enclave's nexus energies to boost his own considerable mental power, he led his fellow librarians in a ritual that would see the slow formation of a massive Force barrier around the entire complex grounds. With their air support denied to them the First Order would have to engage Caedyn and the others at close range where the Jedi would be in their element.

Evacuate the younglings through the emergency tunnels.

He witnessed the invaders' strategy begin to unfold and alerted Jedi patrols to stormtrooper ambushes where he could. Others he directed to rendezvous with Arenais in the grand hall. It was like a complex game of dejarik from his perspective only the stakes were far too high. They were a peaceful outpost but the Darkside was often brutal and wholly without mercy. Oros could feel mass terror from nearby Wrils like a physical burn yet he maintained his focus. One crisis at a time.

As James and his men prepared to move forth and ambush the Jedi in the Main Hall , a young Jedi perhaps in his Late teens or early adulthood entered the room and demanded their surrender. When the Jedi stooped talked did James and his men laugh , the DIB had trained it's Supercommandos and Top Operatives in combating Jedi and already they had proven themselves in earlier battles against other Jedi. For James this kid was nothing but a nuisance. "The Only one who should surrender is you kid. I have you outnumbered 1 to 25 and me and my men are trained in specifically fighting Jedi. But then we did not come here to negotiate." James replied.

Quickly James took out a blaster then shot at the door panel resulting in the door shutting behind the Jedi , then James opened fire on the Jedi shooting 3 times and then taking out his electrostaff followed by the rest of his men as James charged towards the Jedi intending to neutralize him quickly and move forth with the Assault with James being flanked by 2 Supercommandos on each side as he attacked the Jedi. As he attacked the Jedi , James knew this would be simple given that he was fighting a kid , a boy and that this Jedi would be no match for him and that e would be back to ambushing the rest of the Jedi very quickly.
