The fighter's test pilot, as a bit of a joke, nicknamed the fighter the "Super TwinTail," sarcastically poking fun at the minor changes that he felt we're going to help it much. It's unknown exactly how this ended up also serving as the fighter name, though it's rumored that the engineers just wanted to turn the joke on its head. In the end, the jammers and new weapons did prove to have a great affect. The particle cannons helped give the Super TwinTail a better punch, if at the cost of the rate of fire and bolt speed. The jammers also made the fighter more difficult to lock.
