Son of Liberty
First of all, if you're not already a member and you're interested, you need to join here. Now that the really arduous part is out of the way, here's all the gritty info you'll need to take part in the most notorious and glorious bloodbath in our known galaxy.
Each name on this list will be placed into the bracket, until it is full. At the point we cap out, you will be placed in reserve and immediately switched into a duel in the event that one of the initial participants is unable to continue, misses the allotted time limit for posting their first post, or we need a substitute. First come first serve, so if you're really into this, you need to act fast.
If you're unsure, just wait for the ranks to fill up and put yourself in as an alternate. Worst comes to worst, we contact you and you tell us that you're not feeling it, and we skip to the next name on the list. No pressure either way!
Basic rules of GBA dueling (What we like to call "the GBA standard") is a mesh of common sense RP etiquette, high intensity back and forth, no powergaming or godmoding, and weapons/armor limited to the loadout you specify in your initial post. Our staff is acutely aware of the intricacies involved, and you can expect scrutiny, quality feedback, and fair judgments on every one of your duels. We have all done this before, and have varying levels of experience. Judges undergo testing to assure their quality. Do not assume we do not know what we are talking about. Be respectful to your opponent, and to your judge.
Additionally, all judgments are final. You will not be allotted a rejudgment on any grounds. Argument with the decision of the judge will be met with a warning first, then suspension and possibly even removal from GBA activities.
Everyone is in this to have fun, so please keep hostilities out of character to a minimum and keep an open line of communication with your opponents. PMs are encouraged. Also, feel free to CC a Judge ([member="Eralam"] predominantly, or myself is fine) if you feel like you'd like an arbitrator. If you have a problem with your opponents post, DO NOT PM a judge complaining, rather reach out to your opponent first, and if they are not amicable, approach a judge and relay the issue to them. We will do our best to handle all issues in the judgment. Above all, enjoy the experience and do not let out of character issues ruin it for you.
[member="Rusty"] will be providing an exciting surprise for the tournament winner, so bragging rights aren't the only thing on the line!
Whether you're a seasoned veteran, or you're a newcomer looking to break out on the dueling scene, come out and show your stuff, and fight for the top spot in this, the third GBA tournament!
