STRENGTHS

Astromech Slot - Located behind the pilot's chair within the enclosed cockpit is a slot in which an Astromech Droid can be employed. This often consists of assisting with in-flight operations, basic navigation, and minor repairs as needed.

Elegant - The GADF Miy'til Interceptor was designed with the Hapan love of beauty in mind. This has, in turn, resulted in a design that was focused on increased speed and maneuverability which has produced a craft that is swift and nimble at both Sublight and Lightspeeds.

WEAKNESSES

Light Armaments - The GADF Miy'til Interceptor was designed to serve as a Reconnaissance Starfighter as much as an Interceptor Craft. In order to make room for the additional sensor and scanner equipment, the armaments of the craft were lessened in place of the standard heavier load-outs.

Sensor Sails - Though carrying additional scanner and sensor equipment that is often utilized to fulfill its Reconnaissance role. Located in two large, sail-like structures that extend from the Interceptor like the S-foils on an X-wing Starfighter, are the additional systems. These sail-like structures need to be deployed to utilize these systems for their intended purpose which often comes at the cost of the otherwise increased speed and maneuverability of the Interceptor.

Light Defenses - Much of the heavier armor plating and defense capabilities of the craft were removed in favor of increased speed and maneuverability. Though capable of withstanding minimal engagements, it is inadvised to keep the Interceptor engaged for prolonged confrontations.

DESCRIPTION

Intelligence and Information can often win the day just as much as the vast Fleets and massive Armadas that a nation is capable of bringing to the field. With the conflict between the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorian Enclave seeming to only grow, it behooves the Alliance to ensure that its Fleets and their Commanders can see what is awaiting them rather than jumping blindly to their destination. It is the newfound friendship with the Hapan Consortium that has resulted in the development of newer vessels as well as the discovery of Starships that have been hidden for centuries by the Transitory Mists. Among these new developments is the GADF Miy'til Interceptor, a craft based on the Hapan Miy'til Starfighters with a dash of the A/GA-09 I-wing that was recently developed for the Galatic Alliance. The Miy'til Interceptor serves in a similar role to the I-wing and is equipped with additional scanner and sensor arrays to fulfill its role as a Reconnaissance Starfighter and provide needed information to the fleets and Capital Ships that it accompanies. The overall design of the craft retains the Hapan love of beauty and the general aesthetics of similar designs, resulting in a craft that is focused on speed and maneuverability. However, to achieve this increased status, the Miy'til Interceptor had many of its heavier armor-plating and defensive capabilities removed. Additionally, the GADF Miy'til Interceptor lacks the heavier armaments that are often standard for a ship of its classification, resulting in a craft with limited armaments. Though designed to provide the needed intelligence due to the addition of scanner and sensor equipment, this capability can only be utilized when its large sensor sails are deployed to provide an unobstructed field for the equipment to be utilized. This, in turn, has the unfortunate drawback of limiting the speed and maneuverability of the craft, often placing it in peril when utilizing its additional scanners and sensor equipment. Even with these drawbacks, the information that the Miy'til Interceptor is capable of providing is worth the reward brought along with the risk of deploying these craft.
