SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Songsteel Vembraces: The vembraces of the armor are made with Songsteel, to be able to block hits from lightsabers for a limited amount of time.
STRENGTHS
  • Protective Suit: The heavy armor suit is made to protect soldiers in the midst of battle against the most common forms of attacks like blasters and explosives.
  • Against the Nature: The layers of the armor as well as there near complete facial coverage make the armor very suited for most terrains.
    • Sealed helmet: The sealed helmet offers a limited amount of oxygen recycling to survive through chemical attacks or being able to breath in extremely brief vacuum.
WEAKNESSES
  • Heavy: The armor is heavy and usually issued to motorised or mechanized units as troops are swiftly exhausted when wearing this armor.
  • Force? No thank you. The armor does not protect against any Force attacks.
DESCRIPTION
The Vandemarian Auxillary Legions are the biggest military force on Vandemar, the individual Exarchies forming Corps and in war-time they unite to Legions to combat enemies.

The armor is designed as work-horse for the Vandemarian military, used for a variety of troops, the Segmentata is a definite upgrade to the Hamata and provides good protection against the common foes of the Principality. Despite its weight, it is very popular among the soldiers.

The heavy infantry focus of Vandemar very much suits this piece of protection, Vandemarian military is mobile on their steeds or vehciles, not on foot and in battle, well armored soldiers provide a strong, reliable force. The armor was issued to the Auxillary to increase their survivability alongside their Shield and Spear Legion comrades.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Songsteel Alloys: The usage of Songsteel makes this armor very resistant to Lightsabers.
STRENGTHS
  • Lightsaberproof: The addition of Songsteel to the entire plates of the armor gives it a solid protection against lightsabers.
  • Heavy Suit: Despite its shinyness and bling, the armor is still a solid protective suit against most common damage forms.
WEAKNESSES
  • Shiny: The Mark Vb is a lot less dedicated to pure protection than the Mark V, offering a lot of weak spots.
  • Ceremonial: The Songsteel and gold usage are not making it very easy to hide or camouflage yourself in this armor.
DESCRIPTION
The Mark V is a solid piece of craftsmanship and available in good numbers to supply the need of the Auxillary Legions. To promote the military and its noble purpose in the pragmatic but artistic society of Vandemar, the officers, especially members of High Command and command staffs, have the option to use the 'b' version of the Mark V.

The Centurionata is a pretty piece of armor, useable in battle and parade, but is of course not as well suited to hostile environments as the ordinary Mark V and therefore largely preferred by most officers, except by the highest ranking individuals and the general staff.

  • Spinal Cord Connectors (thought-impulse-unit): Through points along the body and the spine the wearer becomes directly attached to the armor, instead of wearing it, the armor becomes a part of the wearer, enhancing his speed and strength with its servos and own power generator. The movements are transmitted to the limbs as well as to the armor.
  • Tactical HUD: An interactive connection to the armor integrated sensors and scanners as well as The Phalanx's scanners, sensors and strategium gives a 3D HUD with the possibility to access a large variety of information. The Mark XI called Ferrata is the up-to-date model for the Vandemarian Legionnaires, a power armor which leaves nothing to be desired or wished for. In shining gold the Legions march now out to fulfill the dream of their High Imperator, to expand the influence of the Principality and serve valorously in battle.

The Ferrata is a remarkable piece of technology, combining bio-engineering with armorsmithing, linear production with art. There are various, minor details which show different ranks and specialisations, the option to fit a jetpack to it or the simple ceremonial need for a red tabard showing the golden emblem of Vandemar.

The Mark XII called Discidator is a specialised version of the Ferrata, designed for the heavy Scutarii units of the Spear Legions, to break offer a stronger, offensive gear. They sacrifice agility and speed for endurance and survivability. The thicker plates and more extended individual parts efficiently protect joints, but decrease the possibilities of movement.

As for all equipment of the Legions, these belong to the best as well. It is produced in smaller amounts than the Mark XI, available for single cadres, not entire companies. The model has no noteworthy modular parts or additions, except for rank insignia.

  • Sixth & Seventh Sense: The armor expands the perception of the wearer to a superhuman level through scanners and sensors, giving impressions and information ordinary senses would not give as well as improving the common senses like vision and hearing through the helmet functions.
  • Tactical: The suit is made to be deployed in battle and its connection to its own scanners and sensors is used as well as the connection to the battlefield surveillance of the strong ship based scanners, if a ship of the Order is in orbit which can allow for a maximum overview and information access.
  • Celestial Wings: Due to the Jetpack, the armor offers a fast alternative movement, fast re-deployment and agility.

But only the true masters among the Forgelords are working on the armor for the Aegis Agema, the praetorians of the High Imperator.

The suits for the Agema are designed individually, forged onto their skin to perfectly fit the wearer in long, exhausting processes. Only the High Imperator's suit received more attention and even here, the Princeps himself includes himself in the process of creation from time to time.

Due to their individual processes, the Mark III is supporting a maximum of flexibility and agility without sacrificing any protection. Individual plates connected, joints covered by moveable plates as well as another layer of chainmail below, allow for a protection without gaps.

To resemble the armor of their patron, the High Imperator, the Praetorian armor also strongly resembles the celestial theme, the wings of the jetpack unfolding equally and showing off imposing aesthetics as a part of their intimidating nature.
