Forging New Friendships (Mandalorian)

Slipping out of hyperspace above Mandalore she couldn't help but be a little surprised that she wasn't bombarded with communications asking their business on this planet. It was possible that they recognized Firefly from what she couldn't remember as she had this ship forever. She doubted that and figured they would be dealt with momentarily. One thing she was grateful for was that they hadn't come out shooting from the get go before she could explain herself to mission control. They were reasonable people from what she remember. This little meeting would go just fine, Kalia was confident in her negotiating skills plus she wasn't alone thankfully.

Picking up the ship's comm she took a deep breath before speaking into it. "This is Jedi Master Kalia Vondiranach, member of a Echani diplomatic party requesting permission to land."Now she just had to wait for someone to respond to her. She wasn't going to land until she was given permission. It would be rude for them to do anything different.

Waiting for a response she turned to the person sitting in her co-captain chair. "Ready for this?" She grinned twirling around in her chair a bit as she waited for a response. Kalia was told to not take her ship but when did she ever listen? She was most comfortable with her ship as beat up as it was which was why she stuck with it.

Co-pilot! It was, like, an upgrade! Not that she really wanted it. Zandra was lounging in the seat next to the... what was she? Jedi? One of those hocus-pocus religious fanatics. Claimed they could move things with their minds! It was so crazy, Zandra wanted to laugh and make fun of her. She would have too, but Jan-Jan said she should TRY to be 'professional', Whatever that meant.
Hokey religions aside, Zandra was rather excited! She liked mandalorians! They were fun to drink with, fun to fight with, and they were bad at cards! Best thing though, they never got mad when they lost to her. She'd made a few friends now and then with some of them.

"Ready? Oh yeah! Mando's just love me!"
She grinned suggestively with that comment but did not elaborate. The less comfortable she could make this Jedi, the more fun she'd have here.

A Mandalorian flagship known as the Kyr'siit was alerted when the Echani ship was detected. The ship moved to an intercept course, and on the bridge, besides the crew, two Rally Masters stood. One commanded the vessel, the other, was a friend of his, and an aquantance to one of the Echani onboard, though he did not yet know that @[member="Janira Fenni"] was onboard. Verz opened a comm channel.

"Greetings Echani. What is your business here?"

Rach's old Firespray fell into a loose escort position to the Kyr'siit, more for moral support than anything. An old professional, he stayed off the comms, at least in terms of projection. He paid attention to the channels as best he could.

This could get fun.

She was on the ship, but she wasn't on the bridge. The woman was still recovering from illness and chose to spend the majority of the flight confined to her quarters. Even though Zandra the Great Echani Bimbo was a crazy woman who should not be in a huge position of power, Janira still loved her. She was her sister after all. And she did trust the woman enough to not get them all killed. Of course, if she did, it wouldn't matter since Janira wouldn't be able to throttle her for it. If Verz landed, he would first get a load of Zandra, who looked exactly like Janira. Wouldn't be surprising if he confused the two of them. She didn't know Verz was out there, though, because she'd ask to not be disturbed until she was ready.

Curled up on a cot, she tugged her knees to her chest, eyes closed. It was a moment of expressed vulnerability, something that she would never want anyone else to see from her. When she was ill, she felt like the tiniest creature could crush her in seconds, though illness alone would never stop her from defending herself. She needed the rest in order to be presentable to the Mandalorians. These people were always the rivals of the Echani, and forever would be. If she showed any weakness outside of her cane, it would be calling for someone to question her, to prey on her. She would not be weak. So, she rested, in preparation for meeting with the Mandos.

He looked into the access hatch on top of his Pursuer-Class ship, sitting on the hull as he tried to figure out what was going wrong with the wiring. His helmet rested next to him, giving him the ability to scratch his head with the hydrospanner he was using to enact, or attempt to enact, repairs. Short blonde hair and a jaw edged with a sharp beard that saw little daylight thanks to said helmet were matted with lubricants used on the ship. All in all, this was not going well.

He found himself distracted by some kind of commotion nearby. They were prepping the empty hangar near him for something. Proving to be more interesting than his attempts to get his ship fixed, he turned to watch what was going on as hangar workers went back and forth.

"Please, please behave yourself when we do get to planet."She didn't need anymore headaches than she already had. The Mando's liked to drink right? She hoped so because it seemed as if she was going to need a good strong one based off of everything that was going on right now. Kalia liked company but sometimes the sisters liked to fight or cause trouble or both. There was no need to try to get into anyone's pants either they were hear for a job playtime could be later.

Kalia liked having fun too but also knew when it was business time and when it was playtime. This was business time for now and she for one was going to act like a grown adult. She just hoped everyone else planned to as well. "We are here on a peaceful diplomatic mission. We just want to talk. Do I have permission to land," she spoke back into the commlink rolling her eyes at Z. This was going to be very interesting.

Like sharks coming to blood churned waters, Mandalorians ships all around turned and began scanning the oncoming ship. The planet was still anticipating a Sith attack, and while she'd been pegged immediately as a low level threat, the Mandalorians couldn't risk being unprepared.

Kalia was given permission to land, not by Verz, but by Mandalore himself. However, the coordinates he provided were for the docking bay of an orbital station rather than anywhere on planet. Her nav computer would recieve a very precise flight path through the maze of ships surrounding the planet.

The fighters pulling up onto her wings would provide a strong suggestion that she not deviate from said course.

No chances were being taken.

Once onto the station, she'd be greeted by an armed escort with a nutrient cage equipped soldier in their midst to negate the Force around him. Again, a precaution. They were, after all, pragmatic people. Pragmatic and reasonable were entirely different animals at times.

Either way, Emberli himself was currently boarding a shuttle to head into orbit and meet her. He wanted to know why the Echani were here. No one came to the most heavily fortified planet in the galaxy just to 'talk'.

Just to talk? Zandra wasn't here just to talk'. Nobody ever came to a planet 'just to talk'. Especially Zandra. She wanted to party!
She gave Kalia a look and stuck out her tongue when she wasn't looking. This was going to be FUN!

The ship was drawn into a specified path towards a landing point. When it did land, the gentle bump of doing so alerted her to the fact that they were there. Rolling over on the bed, she sat up slowly, and ran a hand down her face. Her naked body was glistening with sweat so she stood and walked to the fresher and took a very quick, cold shower. Drying herself off, she got dressed and reached for her cane before leaving her room behind. Walking slowly through the vessel, she went in search of her sister and the Jedi Master who was the older sister of their Ambassador to the Republic. She knew very little about the Vondiranach's, but she did know of their family on Eshan, and it afforded them the respect they deserved. They were both Echani in her eyes.

"Let's go," she said to Zandra and Kalia when she found them. She turned towards the exit of the craft and allowed the two of them to precede her down the ramp into the orbital station. She didn't know what the creature was in the portable tank that the man was wearing, but it did nothing to her at the moment and so she merely remained wary, and curious, of its presence. In the meantime, she focused on the other two women. Three women coming to Mandalore. The Mando men were bound to make trouble for Zandra, at least. Or rather, she was bound to make trouble with them. No doubt she aimed to sleep with half of them. Janira wouldn't stoop so low. None had won her hand yet.

One member of the greeting party, his powers nullified by Ysalamiri, was Rach. He took in the Echani delegates with more than a little curiosity. One of the white-haired women looked familiar. He certainly remembered sleeping with an Echani or two while Alliera was out of town -- but then again, to some extent they all looked the same.

The greeting wasn't his to make. In this society, he was nothing but an Initiate, and that was fine.

Verz had gotten onto a shuttle, and headed to the orbital station. The shuttle was ignored by the cruisers, only because it was a Mando ship. The pilot docked the shuttle, then saluted Verz, who returned the salute. Verz headed to the hanger that the Echani ship had landed in, listening to the chatter on the BattleNet. He entered the hanger, spotting @[member="Rach Kol-Rekali"] and the Echani delegates. Among them, he noticed one, or rather it seemed two Echani that he seen before. If he remembered correctly, she was @[member="Janira Fenni"]. The other one looked exactly like her, but the third he did not recognize.

Kalia had just learned of her Echani heritage and family but that didn't mean she didn't embrace whom she was. The Jedi Master did and now that she knew it explained a lot about why she did certain things. She had never met the sisters until today but she was glad they were here with her today as long as they behaved of course. She was here to negotiate not to babysit the girls. It was going to be hard enough to get the Mandalorian to listen to them as it was so the last thing she needed was more distractions. Mostly she was worried about Zandra had stuck her tongue out at her when Kalia asked if she would behave.

Following the sisters down the ramp she immediately noticed the thing in the box and realized what it was. She figured as much that they would do that. Didn't matter much to her really as she did not plan on fighting at all. Kalia was really here for peaceful negotiating but if she If she needed to though she could hold her own without the Force. These Mando men didn't intimidate her one bit and nor did the fact that they were waiting for Mandalore. She knew how to handle herself around these types of guys. Even though she didn't look it she did practically grow up around smugglers and pirates. She knew Mando's were different but really how different could they really be. She didn't recognize anybody but that was more than likely a good thing.

An unfamiliar ship landed and was greeted by an armed group, including Mandalore. He shifted in his seat on his ship, pulling on his helmet and making sure his blasters were still with him. This had to be good, if the Mandalore was here. Then again, he seemed to be a lot of places lately. As his helmet sealed to his suit, he could no longer smell anything other than processed air anymore, which he was more accustomed to given the life inside the shell.

He upped the magnification in the visor, using it to scope out what was going on across the hangar.

@[member="Kalia Vondiranach"]

Emberli's shuttle landed in an adjacant hangar and the two meter tall leader of the Mandalorians came walking into the hangar before the engines of Kalia's shuttle had begun to cool. Moving through the escort the broad frame of the Manda'lor stops just shy of Kalia.

"So, Master Vondiranach... you obviously aren't an Echani. Why are you in charge of this?"

Well, that was one way to start up a conversation.

"Contrary to what you think, Mandalore," Janira began, completely familiar with who this man was, "she is an Echani. Half-blood, but still Echani." Janira limped along and approached from behind the group, though she didn't move to the front. She wanted Kalia to be in charge of this negotiation as a test of her abilities. Her brother served in a similar capacity, so perhaps Kalia would fill that role elsewhere. Either way, she left it at that and stood behind both her sister and the half-Echani Jedi Master, watching the Mandalore closely. What would his reactions be? What would he say and do in this situation? She was curious.

@[member="Emberli Garett"]

Kaila could speak for herself, she didn't need Janira or anybody else speaking on her behalf. She would roll with it for now as really what else was she supposed to do plus Janira outranked her and she was new to the Echani group. Oh and she wasn't about to make a scene in front of all these people. She did have everything under control. "I'm half-Echani actually and I think that may be why I'm in charge. A half-blood would calm the waters so to speak. As I said we arn't here to fight. I even left my weapons in my ship as a sign of good faith."Everyone was already on their toes about them being there in the first place. It would do Kalia no good to go into a peaceful meeting carrying a bunch of weapons.
