FINAL DAWN
DAMASCUS STATION, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

Since the Battle of Csilla, the Final Dawn has remained one of the two strong pillars that kept foundations of the Maw still intact, playing a key role in numerous battles throughout the Second Great Hyperspace War and spearheading numerous campaign against the Maw’s main rivals in the form of the Galactic Alliance and the New Imperial Order (Later known as the Empire). However despite the amount of power it held within the Maw and it’s growing influence across the Galaxy, it remained unable to reach it’s true potential due to the constant mismanagement of it’s Sith overlords whose overconfidence and lack of proper military strategy enabled their foes to gain the upper hand, costing them the entire Second Great Hyperspace War.

Since his
Jahr Null speech, Marlon Sularen, who had taken control over the Final Dawn as it’s High Regent in the aftermath of the Battle of Tython, had accelerated his plans in regards to Project Rejuvenation, an ongoing endeavor designed with the purpose of strengthening the Final Dawn in order to set up its eventual emergence as a major force within the Galaxy proper. Already it’s Military Strength was far greater then it had been prior to Tython and it had begun to establish connections with numerous independent corporations and criminal organizations which would enable them to further increase it’s reach across the galaxy. The Final Dawn was on the verge of greatness, and yet there was still much to do.

Thus with the intent of setting the stage for the next phase of Project Rejuvenation, the High Regent would move forth to use his numerous connections to gather numerous corporate leaders and other individuals to a major summit, inviting them to Damascus Station where they would join the High Regent in a meeting room within the large superstructure located right between the worlds of Anvil and Hammer within the Praeda System. Within the large space station they would all gather, and if everything went as Sularen had envisioned, they would all join forces to begin the Final Dawn’s ultimate transformation into a power to be truly reckoned with, for the sake of bringing reason, loyalty and progress to a galaxy consumed by chaos and destruction.

Deal making.

This was what Dorthea was trained to do. Her whole career, her upbringing, her very nature. Her skills laid within the art of making deals.

Not that she always succeeded in this. She was known for getting kicked out of three major summits to date. Her temper, and crassness were legendary, but she was capable of respect. Only if others showed class, though.

Donning her old Elysium Empire navy uniform, she waited in the conference room with a few local business owners — citizens of Damascus Station that were keen on finding new customers. The collapse of the Elysium Empire had left a horrible void in their economy, which threatened the quality of life for the 1.5 billion residents on board. Her cousin, Brodan Dobson Brodan Dobson , had seemingly out of no-where, acted to provide an avenue of communication between the Final Dawn and the Nomadic Peoples of Damascus Station.

The Final Dawn needed a supplier. Damascus Station needed a customer. Not bad, Brodan…

She had her reservations about Brodan, as she did with all of her family, but this could be the answer to all of their problems.

On top of that, news of the summit had circulated into demographics that had surprised both Dorthea and Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen . Other suppliers wanted to join in on the action, and everyone wanted to make money. In a normal circumstance, a person in Dorthea’s position would’ve worried about competition. But each company that attended the summit was a potential customer of Damascus Station as well. Damascus Station offered, not only Technology, but raw materials, commercial real estate, leasable production facilities, and skilled labor. Anyone who attended and competed for Final Dawn patronage would need all of these things.

By hosting the summit on Damascus Station, there was no way for Final Dawn and the Nomadic Peoples Coalition to loose.

Everyone would stand to make mountains of credits today.

All she had to do, was mingle and wait for the other attendees to arrive…

Including her head of security Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed … where was he?

The Age of the Fel Empire was over...

Those Imperial Officers still loyal to the Fel Throne and the Lord Regent Erskine Barran would be in for a rather rude awakening. After all it was logical to assume that it was the Lord Regent and the Tarkinist Administration that had led to the downfall of the empire in the first place. The True Empire had ended directly after the death of Emperor Rurik Fel over Tython. But they had the foolish belief that the empire could be preserved without its emperor in the form of a Triumvirate. And even that temporary system failed with the complete collapse of the empire.

General Sawasi had seen the subtle handwriting on the wall as the Tarkinist Political Camp made the empire even more oppressive and tried to emulate the glory of the Ancient Galactic Empire which failed as well after only 23 years of existence. They were repeating the same mistake over and over again without learning from it. But talking about the past was not on the agenda moving forward. The Final Dawn, a name that has resounded in recent history with their numerous clashes with the Galactic Alliance and their known affiliation with the Brotherhood of the Maw.

Now that the Brotherhood was gone, it would seem that the Final Dawn would rise through the ashes. Clicking his military issued boots down the halls of Damascus Station a station with former ties to the Elysium Empire which suffered a collapse as well. He was here merely to observe the procedures and see if the vision laid out by the High Regent Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen were worth backing in terms of his support.

His grey uniform with armored top would stand out amongst the other delegates attending. Entering the chamber with a firm but calculating posture. Sawasi was not interested in mere discussion with officials, there had to be something more and an opportunity to capitalize upon.

There was no greeting nor notice of the other person ( Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson ) within the room.

A twist of the chair and that was that.

Dalton wasn't yet convinced about this Final Dawn business, but that was politics and philosophy, and had to be weighted against credits. More credits than his crew could make in twenty lifetimes of mercenary work, even on fat government contracts. The opportunity was too good to reject out of hand. But no reward came without risk, and so he would not rush to accept until he'd verified more firsthand details about what was required. He was prepared to commit what resources he had, but not until he was convinced there was a good chance of success.

His ops team was a small but elite part of his organization, a group he'd built up since leaving military service. They were a select group, all experienced operators he trusted with his life on a daily basis. They were not your rank and file troopers, though they often operated cover identities as military personnel. Their job was to blend in and gather information, and if necessary, to kill the enemy, though usually in the protection of one or more principals. They rarely got assassination missions, though that sort of work did come up now and again, Dalton was careful and selective about what jobs his group took on.

He'd come as a group of ten to Damascus Station, leaving the rest of his crew at the docks and attending the meeting alone. The rest of the crew fanned out between the meeting location and their ship, aiming to blend in with the background and remain covert. They were tourists, traders, locals, anything but a covert surveillance team, keeping an eye on their boss, and the meeting he was attending.

Dalton entered the meeting alone and unarmed, wearing standard black trooper gear, his helmet remaining on for the time being. Without speaking to anyone, he took up a position away from the others, leaning against a wall. He intended to watch, and to listen.

Gabriel was running at least he thought a little late a few last minute things had came up that needed his attention, one of the things that came up was whom would guard the conference room and some fool had decided to put in some Holy Knights as guards. However as this was also a show at the end of the day and so Gabriel decided to override that stupid decision and deployed Paladins in their place, for at the end of the day the galaxy was watching and Gabriel would ensure that none would find them wanting.

As he approached the conference room both Paladins flanking the doors stood to attention as he came up to them and only relaxed slightly when he pasted through the doors. Walking into the room and sitting his armoured bulk down next to Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson , Gabriel's Angel Phobos turned his attention to the woman beside them.

"Our apologies if we are late lady Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson " Phobos spoke.

As the Final Dawn hired head of security Dalton Chamas Dalton Chamas entered, Dorthea waved and smiled warmly at him with her mouth, but the smile did not reach her eyes. Internally, she dreaded the thought of the other party’s security rep arriving before her own. Anxiety began to churn in her head as her imagination began to spin things out of proportion.

Then, immediately after, Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed walked right into the room as she struggled with her internal fuming.
"Our apologies if we are late lady Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson " Phobos spoke.
“What the Kriff!?” Dorthea snapped at her head of security. Her signature venom tone hissed through her teeth in a whisper, “the two of you were supposed to be here before everyone else?! What took you so long?!?”

Deep down, she knew that he probably had a good reason, being one of the most decorated heroes of the Navis Sacra. But calming down was not something she typically did quickly. And she was known for being a bit of a hard-case. Hopefully Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed would be understanding. While she struggled to calm down, the logical part of her brain was still struggling to convince her that this wasn’t a big deal.

Finally, she just scoffed and shook her head,
“whatever, you’re here. I’m assuming the rest of security is in place for our guests?”

“whatever, you’re here. I’m assuming the rest of security is in place for our guests?”

Dalton leaned forward so that his voice would carry across the room to the conference table, where the Director was inquiring of her Security Head about arrangements for today's security. Though they had operated independently of one another, Gabriel's job was Dalton's job here today, and he could speak to the details and reassure the Director. And maybe, take some heat off the other security chief. He didn't yet know whether they were rivals or comrades, and in case it were the latter, he'd cover his erstwhile ally.

You may assume that, Director. We are secure here.

Through his earpiece, he could hear the rest of his team, either patrolling the outside area, or on direct overwatch of the meeting place. They would notify him of any direct threats well before they reached the meeting. And he had several plans in place to ensure security was maintained. Above and beyond anything Gabriel had arranged himself. They would not be disturbed here. Dalton sent Gabriel a nod of his helmeted head after he spoke, hoping the other security head would not take offence at him butting in. They did after all share the responsibility here today.

A small breath left her mouth as Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed ’s counterpart chimed in. Curiously, she turned to appraise the armoured individual that had just spoken. Proactive initiative, and responsible deescalation were qualities that she could respect. Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen clearly had an eye for talent. She narrowed her eyes ever so slightly to subtly convey her approval before she returned her gaze to Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed . She merely smirked at him in an approximation to an apology, and turned her attention away from both men. She strongly suspected a degree of competition between the two of them, and if so, she would find that highly entertaining.

She finally took stock of the room and immediately felt embarrassed. She had been so consumed with matters regarding security, she had failed to greet her latest arrival. Sawasi Abiodun Sacerdotal was already here and sitting at the table. She blushed hard, swallowing before speaking to the imperial man, “I am so sorry General! I was preoccupied and failed to notice your arrival. How was your trip?”

There was nothing quite like blending into the background, studying every inch of emotion splattered across the face of the delegates within the meeting room. It was apparent that security was running behind not a particularly good start for the meeting so far. What good was having them meet within the station if they could not provide protective accommodations. If they were having this discussion within the Former Empire the room would have several experienced stormtroopers guarding both within and out, furthermore with additional measures to prevent spying. But the ones within here were only really private security dogs in his eyes.

A light tap of his black gloved index finger on the table soon followed as his presence was finally noted by Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson . She wanted to engage in small off hand conversation. Sawasi was not one to entertain these sorts of individuals but any good commander on the battlefield would get to know their opponent if they would face them in the future. Although he seriously doubted they would pose any serious threat.

"So I see.." A short reply followed with a subtle scowl across his features. "There was no delay in the schedule. Miss Dobson" a follow up to the inquiry, clearly spoken in a military tone.

A Dragonsnake-class Picket Cruiser would jump out of hyperspace and slowly approach the station, with Mig watching from the bridge. Next to him was Leddie Gred Leddie Gred , who was there as his security.... Ok really it was to learn about a bit of diplomacy vs. just punching your way out of a problem, but security worked too. Once the picket cruiser finally docked, the Mandalorians would walk towards the meeting room, and Mig would quietly looking, removing his helmet as he did. Leddie seemed more comfortable keeping her's on for the time being. Mig would give a simple nod to everyone as he thought.

He honestly wasn't sure what to think of this, but he did like information. He'd rather know what was going on at the very least than be blindsided. So for now, he looked around and would listen, with Leddie trying to keep attention.

Standing still against the wall, Dalton looked over the Mandalorians Mig Gred Mig Gred and his companion as they entered. Visibly armed, he wasn't alarmed by that as some might have been. If Mandalorians had meant trouble, they would have come in shooting. While he waited for the meeting to get started, Dalton looked over the files in his HUD which his tech coordinator had provided. He'd already checked out Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen upon taking the job. Holoscans of the attendees took care of finding their identies, so he could know with whom he was dealing.

"Mr. C, sending you files on the attendees." in his ear, the voice of Dalton's Bothan tech assistant, located back at the ship, was providing real-time intelligence to Dalton's helmet. From the files provided, he saw the Director Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson was a public figure, and finding records on the General Sawasi Abiodun Sacerdotal weren't too difficult. The Mandalorians were tougher, but his people could identify them as Clan Gred and that provided some intelligence on who they were. Finding intel on Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed , his opposite number, was not so easy. Much of what Dalton had to go on was publicly available intel, what he thought of as open source intel, something that anyone could access. Not much more than names and faces.

What he was doing today alongside with providing security for the meeting, was gathering direct information, because though he didn't know the subject of the meet, it had to be something important, given the attendees he'd seen thus far. The Final Dawn were definitely up to something, and being here meant he could find out what it was. Here inside the room, he had eyes and ears on everything. Outside the meeting, he trusted his people to take care of overwatch. They were prepared for any trouble, leaving their boss to be part of things inside. For now, Dalton waited to see what the High Regent of the Final Dawn would present.

Taking his helmet of and resting it on the table revealing his Echani features to the room at large, in a stern and serious tone turned slighty to Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson .

"My colleague sir Dalton Chamas Dalton Chamas speaks true, we are secure in this room and if things go well I hope to work with him again in the future" Gabriel spoke "And if anyone tries to listen in on this meeting things will go poorly from them regardless of whom they are".

By the prophets Gabriel hated politics both outside of Damascus Station and within. After this meeting he'd have to find the one who somehow overridden his orders for Paladins to be on guard, that didn't matter right now at least the Paladins where in place should the worse happen. A brief thought crossed Gabriel's mind about needling Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson with a faction of force fear in order to test the woman's character and resolve but as soon as the thought came to being Gabriel pushed it out of his mind as this wasn't the time nor the place.

FINAL DAWN
DAMASCUS STATION, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

Today was a day, Sularen had been waiting for a long time now. The Day in which the Final Dawn would begin it's metamorphosis, a great transformation from being a mere subgroup of the Brotherhood of the Maw to a major intergalactic power in it's own right, ready to finish what it had started during the Second Great Hyperspace War. Never before had Sularen been in such a powerful position since the unfortunate betrayal of Credius Nargath and the schism he had triggered within his former orginization known as the Imperial Directorate decades ago. This time however, there would be no betrayal or schism, and Sularen would see to it that the Final Dawn would be never be deceived by those who sought to undermine it and ensure it's ultimate ascension, through whatever means necessary.

Seated at the head of the conference table, Sularen watched as his guests entered the room one by one, getting familiar with one another. As usual, his personal aide,
Colonel Rackham was standing beside him taking notes as each guest arrived. Unlike most galactic governments who were quite uniform, Sularen instead sought out a wide variety of people from different backgrounds, Corporate officials, Ex-Imperial Officers and even a Silver Jedi-aligned Mandalorian, all of which could be forged into a singular cohesive force bounded by the principles of reason, loyalty and progress for the sake of bringing a Pure Order to the Galaxy.

After Mig Gred's arrival, Sularen leaned over towards Rackham and spoke with a calm voice. "Is that everyone?" Sularen asked. "Almost everyone, Doctor Andreus Veinstein has yet to arrive." the Colonel said in response. "Very well then." Sularen readjusted his position in his chair and then proceeded to address those present. "Thank you for all arriving, as this means alot to me. Your presence here shows that you are willing to sit down and listen to what i have to say, something that few people would be willing to do these days especially given my past affiliation with the Brotherhood of the Maw. As you may have realized by now, you all come from different backgrounds, an Entrepreneur from the Elysium Empire, a former General of the Empire and the chief of a Silver Jedi-aligned Mandalorian Clan. Despite this i still believe that together we can achieve great feats, feats that none of us would even consider doing individually. Together we can create something greater then the individual governments we once served, a new empire founded on the principles of reason, loyalty and progress, one that would not rule through fear or force but rather through compromise and understanding." Sularen began

Dorthea Dobson

Chief Director of Damascus Station
"So I see.." A short reply followed with a subtle scowl across his features. "There was no delay in the schedule. Miss Dobson"
In that moment, Dorthea immediately recognized the air of a hard-line imperial officer. His no-nonsense tone, rigid demeanour, and non-reciprocative response, all spoke of a man who intended to negotiate from a position of centralized strength.

Dorthea found it… refreshing.

She, herself had been forged by imperial organizations for most of her life. She spent many years as a low-level logistician for the First Order, then in a high level posting for the Elysium Empire. All along the way, she had met many many men like Sawasi Abiodun Sacerdotal and she knew how to work with them. Despite the fact that she was reputably more reactive than most imperials, she too was one to reserve her respect until true substance was revealed. Or as she always said talk is cheap.

She struggled to contain her grin as it pulled at the corners of her mouth. The feeling of dealing with a classic imperial hard-liner once again thrilled her. She then slightly narrowed her eyes at the imperial as if she was aiming a naval targeting lazer at him.

“That’s good to hear, General. I look forward to to seeing what you intend to bring to the table today.” Her tone lightly implying that she would observe his proposals with much scrutiny. Even though she was quite comfortable around imperials, she reminded herself that she also had valuable assets and only profitable deals would be worth her time. She too would negotiate from a position of strength.

"My colleague sir Dalton Chamas Dalton Chamas Dalton Chamas Dalton Chamas speaks true, we are secure in this room and if things go well I hope to work with him again in the future" Gabriel spoke "And if anyone tries to listen in on this meeting things will go poorly from them regardless of whom they are".

She returned her attention to the massive paladin and whispered discreetly, “very good, commander. Make sure that nothing interrupts the flow of these negotiations. I suspect that this meeting will be very nuanced until we make our positions more secure. Minor disruptions could damage the shape that these deals take place from here on.”

And with that, she left the matter of security entirely in the hands of Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed .

Then Mig Gred Mig Gred arrived. With what appeared to be an armoured woman in tow. Dorthea immediately greeted him, “It’s good to see you, Chief Gred. Thank you for accepting my invitation! I look forward to seeing your commerce in action today.”

Dorthea was pleased to see that he had made it. He had sold the Nomadic Peoples Coalition a series of heavy fighters that had become essential for escorting their freight operations and other long range operations. His business model was solid, quality was ideal, and their conduct was notable. She felt that he deserved to expand on his market share in the outer rim and this was a great chance for him to do that.

"Thank you for all arriving, as this means alot to me. Your presence here shows that you are willing to sit down and listen to what i have to say, something that few people would be willing to do these days especially given my past affiliation with the Brotherhood of the Maw. Dorthea smiled cordially at Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen at the end of his speech. She then replied, “Thank you. Damascus Station and the Nomadic Peoples Coalition are more than happy to hear what you have to say, Regent. I think we can all agree that there are many opportunities for us to make considerable profitable gains today.” She turned her eyes towards Sawasi Abiodun Sacerdotal, “we all have assets and needs, which can be exchanged to benefit eachother, I believe?”

The sound of footsteps approaching their location did peak his interest if only for just the briefest of moments. Fortunately it was not some assassin or wayward pirate looking to hold them for ransom. It was none other than Chief Mig Gred Mig Gred who offered not but a simple nod in their direction and promptly took his seat amongst them.

Sawasi took a moment to ponder within his mind on how the meeting would progress moving forward. Currently the individuals within the room offered very little reassurance that they would be able to hash out an agreement that would satisfy all parties involved. A glance over to Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson whose voice was now heard, responding to the short answer provided to her inquiry. She was clearly intending to watch him as the meeting progressed and was questioning what resources he could bring to the table. There were many contacts within the Former Fel Empire that had owed him favor from smugglers to former imperial officials that he had not ratted out to the Security Bureau.

The High Regent of the Final Dawn Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen would begin the meeting after some time. Recognizing up front that they all came from a different backgrounds and experiences. Sawasi watched with only the briefest of interest as the High Regent laid out his ideal that they could create a new empire founded underneath simple ideals of reason, loyalty and progress. It was nothing more than washing away the sins that he had acquired from his time within the Brotherhood of the Maw.

Miss Dobson was blazen in her response more looking for equal return on her investment than the actual ideals laid out.

"Opportunities that remain to be seen." Sawasi replied shrugging off the glance from her. "Building a new empire like you suggest, High Regent Sularen will take adequate logistical planning. Where do you see us 5 months from now." Sawasi further added wanting to know if the Final Dawn Leader had actually planned instead of relying on words alone to sway the members gathered.

FINAL DAWN
DAMASCUS STATION, OUTER RIM TERRITORIES

After Sularen had finished his introductory speech, Dorthea Dobson was the first one to respond, speaking of the potential opportunities to laid Infront of them and how both the Final Dawn and the Nomadic People's Coalition could benefit from working with one another. Sularen was glad that the Nomadic People's Coalition were willing to collaborate with the Final Dawn to achieve mutual goals which was somewhat of a surprise to him especially given a previous skirmish between the Final Dawn and the Nomadic People's Coalition a while back when Sularen quickly moved forth to seize the naval assets of his former Corporate partner Haon Hafey, shortly after he passed away.

When Dorthea finished Sularen proceeded to speak up once more. "Yes, that is indeed the case, Ms. Dobson. I've heard that Damascus Station is in need of new partners after your previous debacles with the Elysium Empire with you being labeled as a traitor and subsequently becoming a pariah throughout the Elysium Empire outside of Damascus Station itself. Given what i have planned for the Final Dawn moving forwards, the support of Damascus Station would be extremely beneficial for the Final Dawn especially given it's industrial capabilities." Sularen said.

Then Sawasi Sacerdotal proceeded to speak. As was expected from a former officer of the Empire, he spoke in a more serious tone talking about the logistical planning that are usually involved in building new states and inquiring on where Sularen envisioned the Final Dawn within 5 months in the future. Sularen had indeed considered the issue of logistics, especially as the main reason for why the Brotherhood of the Maw had lost was largely because of it's poor logistics during the Core Campaign. That along with the fact that the Maw was always going to lose a war of attrition made their defeat inevitable after they were pushed back at Tython. If the Final Dawn was to succeed where the Maw failed that it would have to establish a strong military-industrial complex that could rival the Alliances, while simultaneously creating a intricate supply network that would prevent the same logistical issues the Maw faced.

Once more, after the Ex-Imperial Officer finished speaking, Sularen took the time to respond. "You are correct in your assessment General Sacerdotal. As you already know the Final Dawn is based primarily in the Unknown Regions but our position has never been secure there as we lacked the sufficient means to reach our full potential throughout the Second Great Hyperspace War, due to the limited resources at our disposal. As such to remain in the Unknown Regions would be a death sentence especially as the Alliance will be most likely rushing into the area to eradicate any remnants of the Brotherhood of the Maw, given that most if not all of it's subgroups such as the Final Dawn itself are now free to pursue any agendas they might have had more freely." Sularen began

"Thus, my plans for the next few months include a gradual withdrawal from the Unknown Regions, starting with the evacuation of key assets and personnel from our core territories centered around the worlds of O'reen and lol, and their temporary relocation to our holdings at the edge of Chiss Space. That would only consist of the first phase of my overall plan for our relocation as i intend to eventually re-establish the Final Dawn's powerbase within former Imperial Space, where we could make use of any military and industrial infrastructure left behind by the Empire to rapidly expand the Final Dawn's Military and Economy post-relocation. From there we can begin the process of expansion and firmly establish ourselves as a new galactic power. I hope that answers your question General."

Dorthea Dobson

Chief Director of Damascus Station
Dorthea cringed inwardly a little as Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen outlined the location which he planned to move his empire towards. It wasn’t too bad, but there were some serious risks involved in this, and trade routes would be much, much longer than she had anticipated. On the plus side, the routes could make use of much of the previous trade infrastructure that was established between the Silver Jedi Concord and the Nomadic Peoples Coalition. On the other hand, their collapse, and the collapse of the Hutt Space Consortium brought much of the trade route security into question.

Dorthea rested her chin in between her thumb and forefinger for a moment in thought as she considered the High Regent’s words. Her eyes moved back and forth between Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen and Sawasi Sacerdotal while she thought. A couple times, her eyes rested on Gabriel Creed Gabriel Creed and Dalton Chamas Dalton Chamas and she wondered if they might have something to say regarding security maybe.

Finally she spoke, “Thank you, Regent Sularen. And an excellent question, General Sacerdotal. Regent, I wish to address certain concerns about your prospects in real estate. It is prudent that we structure this arrangement in such a way that won’t bankrupt our respective accounts. Now, thankfully, your projected territory puts you on the other side of ex-silver territory. As you must know, we had a strong trade agreement with the concord, and much of the old infrastructure is still there. Retasking those assets should not prove difficult. But your territory will be further still, and puts our extended routes past the old Hutt Space Consortium neighborhood. There are concerns that without the reigns of the Hutts to keep things under control, the stability of trade in the surrounding territory could prove a costly affair. Now, the Nomadic Peoples Coalition is currently working on acquiring dedicated escort ships to properly guard our convoys” she shot a look at Mig Gred Mig Gred as he had already provided excellent long range fighters for the Coalition and hopefully he would weigh in here, “but there are other things that need to be sorted out as well.

“Jurisdictional policies, port taxation, shipping contracts, and waystation checkpoints are all topics that we need to nail down in order to move forward. We also need to make these things cost effective.”
She then turned her gaze over to Sawasi Sacerdotal , ”Now, General, you have brought up the topic of logistical planning, yes? I’m assuming that this is a topic which you have an invested interest in. Do you have any assets that could be used to protect our financial considerations on this topic?”

His inquiry was answered quite quickly by the High Regent Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen who went on to explain the current situation facing the Final Dawn with the most pressing issue currently being a complete lack of resources within the Unknown Regions. Although the Unknown Regions had certain advantageous in terms of position the drawbacks of staying within the region far outweighed any presumed benefit. Sawasi understood that if the new empire was going to survive then it would need to move considerable resources and manpower to more favorable areas where they stood a chance to establish themselves.

The Galactic Alliance was also moving through the former territory once operated by the Brotherhood of the Maw until their collapse. It was no doubt that they would siege worlds belonging to the Final Dawn which would prove detrimental. This was confirmed by the High Regent who planned to withdraw much of his influence from the Unknown Regions and plan to establish a temporary redoubt within former Chiss Space. From there the plan would include moving to the former fel empire's territory.

Sawasi was certain that endeavour would be a nail in the coffin for any future plans that the dawn might undertake, glancing over to Dorthea Dobson Dorthea Dobson who had some valid concerns of her own. Explaining the difficult logistical problems that they would face such as shipping routes being attacked by criminals and vagabonds whom the Hutt Space Consortium had kept in check.

"My assets will prove useful in handling your financial complications." General Sawasi said towards her in an off putting gesture before turning his attention towards the High Regent. "I believe your plan is fundamentally flawed, High Regent. The Once Mighty Fel Empire is still active within the region even if they have lost a considerable amount of territory. There military strength has not vanished simply overnight. Thus any attempt to establish an empire within their former territory will leave ourselves vulnerable." He said interlocking his fingers together and putting his arms on the table. The Former Fel Empire still had numerous military assets available to them, and even then a weak New Imperial Order was able to defeat the Mighty Sith Empire over Bastion all those years ago.

"Therefore I am suggesting that we establish ourselves over Mon Cala. A world of importance through galactic history and having a substantial shipyard does increase our chances of empire building." Sawsai explained.

The proposals that had put forward were certainly intriguing. Building a new empire was a fascinating process, one Dalton had never seen firsthand. A keen interest in history allowed him some understanding of what was involved, but he'd never before been part of the process himself. He listened intently as the Regent made his presentation, and the Director and the General discussed their views on the proposal. The High Regent would be the likely leader in the Emperor role, Dalton thought. He wondered what roles the others might play, as an advisory or authoritative body.

The Director was interested in the important but less martial aspects of the proposal, but showing a keen understanding that any such empire building required a solid military foundation in her question to the General. Protecting any new empire would require military force, either as deterrence, or in the worst case scenario to deal with an immediate attack.

Dalton's own assets were not endless, but he had solid financial backing for his small but professional intelligence gathering unit. Beyond that he had the potential to grow, with solid contacts in the armies and navies across the galaxy thanks to two decades of experience. Few soldiers rose from the enlisted ranks to officer, and fewer still moved between Army and Navy command. He'd done both, giving him a somewhat unique perspective on military matters. He could talk shop with enlisted soldiers and crew, or discuss logistics with his fellow officers with equal competency. His forces could provide excellent support, but they were not an army or a navy. He spoke once the General had finished.

Shipyards and Industry are certainly a good priority. I would question whether Mon Cala's historical resistance to being part of non-democratic governments might make it a less attractive option. Establishing an Empire is an open challenge to the rest of the galaxy. It would be a shame to begin with a home grown rebel independence movement under our feet. There are many potential capital worlds which would provide a burgeoning Empire with shipyards and other resources, not all of which come with potential political problems.

He agreed with the General's reasons for choosing Mon Cala, but not the choice itself, as he had said, the Mon Cals weren't fond of being dictated to. The General was correct that shipyards should be a first choice, but there were a lot of shipyards. Mon Cala was also out towards the Rim, further from the Core, and therefore to most of the galaxy, less relevant. At least that was how Dalton, a Coruscant native, saw things. He wondered if they'd question why the hired help was talking. There was no correct answer as to where to start an Empire. Dalton felt that all sides should be considered. Though he brought less resources to the proverbial table, he did bring a wealth of information that might prove useful. If the gathered delegates chose to make use of it.
