Special Features:
Maneuverability Rating: 16
Speed Rating: 11
Hyperdrive Class: 2

Strengths:

  • Extensive Area of Effect: The Imperium is very proficient in providing fire to a large area with heavy effect. The Imperium is especially designed to provide as much ordnance as possible to a designated target(s).
  • Heavy Support Vessel: This cruiser class is an adept support vessel. Not only can it provide long range fire, but it can also serve as a planetary bombardment, and an anti-space station craft.
  • Cache Efficient: The internal structure has been built for max efficiency in storing ammunitions, and other logistics. At the cost of armor and hull width, more ordnance storage has been installed.
Weaknesses:

  • Non-Versatile Vessel: The Imperium is heavily based on projectile launch and barrage over close and mid range skirmishes. It is not intended to be alone as it is completely a support vessel and is intended only to be in support of other vessels, or requires an escort.
  • Feeble Aegis: In the ship's design certain sacrifices had to be made to allow the necessary space for the extensive amount of missile launchers. The defense system was skimmed to a an incremental amount to allow for such armaments. The quadanium armor plating is very limited only in certain areas such as the command bridge.
  • Weak Spot: With the limited armor and maximum storage at the topside stern one of the largest ammunition caches of the vessel is held unarmored, allowing for a simple turbolaser or starfighter strafe to completely disable the vessel, if not destroy it completely.

Name: FOSB Safe House (Formerly Nekor Shim's private residence "The 4100")

Image Source: (Please link the origin and artist of the image you have used, if possible.)

Classification: Secure Compound posing as a High-Rise Villa

Location: Located on Terminus, in the Iego Prairies district.

Affiliation: First Order Security Bureau

Population: (How large is this Military Base? How many armed units? If your military base is generic, please separate this population into Army Personnel, Navy Personnel, etc.)

Defenses: (What defenses does this Military Base have? If you are using non-canon technology submitted to the Factory, please link to all relevant Approved Submissions.)

Points of Interest: (What areas within the Military Base are significant? You can link structures you've made, or create them on the spot here and provide location entries for them later if necessary.)

Description: (Describe your structure in at least one paragraph. Please reference all characters, companies, and factions involved. Also list out significant areas within the structure, if necessary.)

History: The 4100 was originally envisioned as a block-wide complex featuring a shopping center, a small theme park, condos and a functioning hotel, a haven for both tourists and locals. During the prosperous age of economic building in the Iego Prairies district, construction began and contracts were dolled out like candy. A patchwork of companies were lined up to provide services for the rising tower. An lull in the Terminus economy brought construction to a halt, and contractors fled the project. It was only saved from being scrapped by a shell company owned by Nekor Shim, which funded the rest of construction, and in doing so revised many of the building plans. The shopping mall was downsized to a few retail spots, and the theme park was scrapped. Instead, a network of defenses were installed throughout the floors, to ward against attacks inside and out. The top seven floors were set aside for Shim's personal villa, including an outcropped landing pad at the lowest level of the penthouse allowing him to come and go in private. The rest of the building was sold as individual condos and office space to private renters, with a small hotel operating on a few of the lowest floors.

Intent: To provide a safe house and secure compound for First Order Security Bureau agents and their support staff on Terminus. This will also provide a front to cover some of FOSB operations on Terminus.

Development Thread: Mine is Mine - Cortosis Received
Manufacturer: Vitiate
Model: VFO-CG1
Affiliation: The First Order
Modularity: (Can components of this submission be swapped out for other components? Is it especially easy to modify? For most submissions, put 'No'.)
Production: Minor (Any Character, Only Select Groups Of NPCs),
Material: Cortosis Infused Duraplast, Servos, Electronics
Classification: Gauntlets
Weight: 8kg
Quality: 5kg
Special Features:
  • Crushing Skills Increased
Strengths:
  • Disables Lightsabres
Weaknesses:
  • Weaker Metal
Description: After approaching the at the time First Order Sergeant, [member="Rolf Amsel"], the Sith High Colonel A'sharad Graush had decided it was necessary to outfit the stormtroopers under his command with better equipment. Naturally, he couldn't go about changing the current set of armour of the entire Stormtrooper Corps, that would take too long.

Personally, in the days of being a Sith Acolyte, having faced dozens of his peers, the current High Colonel had come to the realization that those soldiers that face off against Sith and Jedi alike are at a disadvantage. The standard soldiers of the First Order tend to lack the ability to use the Force, thus leaving them open to devastating close and long-range attacks. The Crushgaunts are to take one aspect away from Force Users. That of lightsabres.

The Crushgaunts are capable of suffering numerous glancing and deflected strikes, and may even hold onto a lightsaber that lacks dimetris circuits for little over five seconds before the wearer will begin to feel the heat of the gauntlets melting.

Strengths:
  • Advanced Targeting: The advanced targeting and sensory suites installed in the brain of the darktrooper allow it to analyze, target, and destroy enemy soldiers as well as being able to discern friend from foe.
  • Advanced Intelligence: Unlike normal mass-produced battle droids, the Phase X Dark Trooper is highly intelligent, able to create battle tactics and calculate issue in mere nanoseconds.
  • Advanced Mobility: All joints have a high-quality servo motor installed that allow them to mimic human movements as best as they can, such as running and climging. The battledroid also has integrated jump jets for increased mobility on this backs.
  • Advanced Protection: Each Dark Trooper is covered from head to toe in stygian-triprismatic polymer body armor, as well as a rubberized quadranium bodysleeve that protects its vulnerable joints from blaster fire.
Weaknesses:
  • Droids: Even with all of the extensive technology and artificial technology, these droids simply lack the ability to react fast like humans. They also lack pain which causes them to be destroyed due to not taking cover.
  • Expensive: The Phase X dark trooper costs around a million credits to produce, let alone to produce an entire squad of these. This is the exact reason why they are not deployed often due to construction costs.
Description: (Include some strengths and weaknesses here. Describe some of the history behind the submission. Give us some idea of how it might perform its function, what it excels against and what some limitations of it are. This is where you talk about your idea, flesh it out over at least a good-sized paragraph, and address some of the ways it might be used or abused. For especially powerful or ambitious submissions, a very thorough description is recommended.) All droid characters must be approved through the Factory, if their droid models are not canon.

Grand Admiral, First Order Central Command
I'd be interested in doing a project alongside you, with this dedicated towards creating a sort of genetically and cybernetically enhanced super soldier. Maybe the two could be companion projects, with droids acting as backup of sorts for the actual flesh and blood (mostly) soldiers.

Perhaps, I was torn on either cyborgs or droids, but a combination of both could really thrive. The droids would be more expendable than the organic aspect of the Dark Troopers project. While the droids are regular, but still elite, battle droids, the cyborgs could easily be trained assassins. This will require a lot of thinking to do though...

  • Standard Warship Sensors and Targeting Systems

  • Standard Warship Communications Systems

  • Standard Warship Environmental Control Systems

Maneuverability Rating: 6
Speed Rating: 6
Hyperdrive Class: 1

Strengths:
[+] The Big Bang: Armed with four baradium missile launchers the Charger was built to make things bleed and in particular, large capital ships.

[+] Es-Cap-E: Once she’s delivered her payload the Charger’s job is to get the feth out of dodge and back to base, or back under the protection of her larger sisters. Her speed allows her to weave in and out of the chaos fleet back into safety.

Weaknesses:
[-] Lightweight: Built to do one job and one job only, the Charger has been equipped with minimal shielding, as her speed is her defense. The ability to outrun and outmaneuver a lot of the other vessels in the galaxy.

[-] Snap, Crackle, Pop: Given her size and limited defensive capabilities the Charger is quite vulnerable to being shot down, or hit in one shot. One wrong move, or an error in her maneuvering causes the already fragile Charger to meet her end rather quickly.

[-] The Big Boom: With four baradium missile launchers, one can imagine that the Charger has quite the amount of firepower stored within her. One shot to her storage units and the Charger is gone. Additionally, she can only fire so many missiles before she has to return to base or to an ammunition ship to be reloaded and rearmed.

[-] One Job: She’s got one job to do and that is to get as close as possible to capital ships, deliver her missiles and go. Outside of this the Charger can do little else in battle and is left only with her flak cannons to defend herself against harm.

Description: When Fiolette Yvarro purchased Primo Victorian from Ms. McBose, she set out to create an Imperial equivalent of the Fulminatus. Understandably this meant that the Charger would be in minor production given that her job was to simply go in and rip apart capital ships and then retreat very quickly. Fio also wanted to give the Charger something that the Fulminatus did not have. A purpose outside of battle, a job that would be simple and if need be the Charger could defend herself while calling for help.

This secondary purpose would be to collect data from various listening posts and drop sites, analyze this data and get it back to FOSB command as soon as possible. This meant that the Charger’s production would be held in secret and built with covert and intelligence operations in mind and not just the charging blow that her predecessor was designed to be.

Development Thread: If Necessary

Intent: To provide the First Imperial Navy with an escort corvette that acts as a fast, hard hitting unit - in lieu of capital guns and a proper defense. Writer’s intent was to design something that could act more or less like World War II destroyer-escorts, in giving capital ships a devastating blow while still being able to provide some form of Anti-Air protection. Like the Fulminatus, she’s designed to run in and deliver a massive blow and then run out again.

Intent: To usher in the next step in the re-awakened Darktrooper project, an advanced, heavily armored battle-suit.
Development Thread: If Required
Manufacturer: First Order
Model: Phase 'IX'
Affiliation: First Order
Modularity: Grenades and Missiles mounted on the armor can be changed to suit the mission.
Production: Limited
Material:
  • Phrik
  • Titanium-Reinforced Stygian-Triprismatic Polymer
  • Duraplast secured circuitry
  • Soft padding
Classification: Bipedal Tank/Exosuit
Weight: 2387 kg
Quality: 10
Special Features:
  • Can Interface with the HUD of the Stormtrooper piloting it, allowing the use of additional sensory tools provided by the helmet.
  • Reactive Combat De-Ionizer
  • Quintessence powered skin-like shielding to prevent potentially costly damage to the Armor
  • Self-preserving Oxygen Filters and Reserve Tank (10 hours recycled)
  • Smoke, Toxin and Air Born pathogen filters
  • Adjustable 360 degrees vision due to sensors on the back of the head.
  • Genetic Lock and helmet lock - Darktroopers can control other IX models than their own, but normal Stormtroopers cannot do anything more than open one to signal for distress.
  • Magnetic Locking System
  • Cooling and Atmospheric Temperature Control System
Strengths:
  • Incredible level of protection
-Coated in thick layers of Phrik and shielding, darktroopers are the epiphany of quality protection for the best of the First Order ground forces. They are capable of taking a very severe beating.
  • Mobile Cover
-Large and wide, the Phase IX can be used as cover for less well defended allies when assaulting heavily fortified positions.
  • Powered by Quintessence
This rare, yet in this form mundane power source has thus far only officially been made usable by the First Order. Attempting to charge a captured Dark Trooper's battery with any other form of power source will result in the small scale explosion of the battery (likely harmless unless they decide to hold on), followed by a pre-recorded distress signal from the armor while it begins locking to make itself useless to the enemy until it can be recovered, checked for bugs and reset.
  • Massively Enhanced Strength
-Capable of striking down walls, carrying large weapons with ease, minimizing recoil, and if need be; engaging in more even hand to hand combat against hostile Sith or Jedi.
  • Enhanced Durability
-With proper maintenance and a respectful wearer. Phase IX armor is built to last.
  • Sealed Environment
-Like all variants of First Order armor, Phase IX armor is built to enable the trooper inside to temporarily survive the vacuum of space.
  • Autobalancers
-Prevent accidental stumbling through automatic adjustments to foot positioning and stature.
Weaknesses:
  • Noise
Clunk, clunk, clunk. Dark Troopers are inherently loud when they're moving, a competent foe might decide to plan an ambush in advance. A clever one would run.
  • Loss of ability to manipulate small devices
-Blaster pistols, datapads and an assortment of small items become impossible to use due to the large gauntlets of the Darktrooper.
  • Weight
-The IX is very heavy, around the same weight as a large land rover but with only two metal feet to displace the weight instead of four tires. Sudden impacts and weak floors may lead to the 'IX' and its operator unintentionally plummeting through buildings.
  • Powered by Quintessence
-A rare but mundane powersource when not used in weaponry, when deployed in the field it is nearly impossible for a Darktrooper to charge his armor without fully replacing it with a new battery. A lengthy process that can easily put him at risk.
  • Decreased Agility
-Climbing, jumping, crawling. Any movements requiring finesse become bulky, risky or impossible endeavors. One shall not be performing back-flips in an IX.
  • Unable to enter small locations
-The sheer size of the IX can prevent it from entering through small locations short of smashing them open with raw strength. The IX can become stuck in areas such as these. Making it vulnerable to attack or ambush.
  • Cannot quickly change direction when moving quickly
-Though IX's can move surprisingly fast, they are not able to adjust their direction very quickly, and stopping requires a fair amount of preparation to prevent toppling over. The sudden deployment of a repulsor shield, or a hard wall could easily result in trauma.
  • Slow to open
-IX's are designed to keep the operator safe inside, to prevent unwanted access by enemy troops from behind there are a series of locking mechanisms in place. In the event of catastrophic malfunction, submersion in water with no hope of escape, or other events the person inside would want to escape quickly. It is impossible, and the slow inflow of water as the locks come undone might risk drowning by the time they're finally able can get out.
  • Expensive
Dark Trooper battlesuits are very costly to produce, even for the First Order who owns their own supply of Phrik from Valhalla. This is one of the few reasons for their relative rarity.
  • Back of the Knees
-Troopers always face forwards, this rule of combat, and the requirement of extra maneuverability for the autobalancers to operate effectively has led to significantly less armor in this position.
  • "Grab his legs!"
It is possible, yet ill advised. To tie the legs of a darktrooper together with sufficiently strong material in order to make them fall over when they attempt to move. Making them vulnerable.
Description: The next evolution of the newly awakened Darktrooper project that began in the now ancient Galactic Empire, the Phase 'IX' Darktrooper battlesuit is the product of several trial and error designs, constantly improving upon the faults of those that came before it in order to produce the most effective killing machine possible.

One of two production line Darktroopers in the present day, the Phase '' was designed by a team rival to that of those designing Graf's
faux-human Phase X Darktroopers. While Graf's team focused on making human looking battledroids, the Phase 'IX' features an actual human pilot, in a suit that appears completely inhuman.

Once meant to completely replace the Stormtrooper armor currently used by the First Order, the costs involved in producing a single suit of Phase 'IX' armor makes widespread deployment an unfeasible task, and the suits sheer bulk prevents it from complicated maneuvers a Stormtrooper is capable of performing, such as climbing, or jumping, chasing through a small hallway, or taking cover behind low down items.

An immensely powerful jetpack offers the Darktrooper limited flight capabilities. Allowing it to reach high up locations, or reduce falling velocity to increase the units survivability in the event of total disaster, but not move side to side or travel large distances due to the rapid overheating issues the jetpack experiences.

Worthy of its last field tested ancestor -the Phase III's- terrifying reputation. The Phase 'IX''s left and right shoulders are capable of being armed with cluster missiles and grenade launchers of multiple types, but provide a vulnerable point that risks damage being caused when the pauldrons lift if the shielding has also been pierced, or a weapon is capable of bypassing it.

The Phase 'IX' is also the third model of Darktrooper armor to utilize a Quintessence battery as an energy source. The same energy source used to power the Starkiller base of centuries past before it the harmless energy was converted into the unstable phantom energy that actually destroyed the Hasian system. The first model failed to meet expectations, its battery bleeding far too much energy and leaving it with a very short field life, while the second. That early tests suggested was operating fine, detonated in a violent inferno and converted both the armor, and the Stormtrooper testing it into electrons due to a slight miscalculation by the team. Quintessence provides the Dark Troopers with a clean, practically infinite energy source, as long as they are able to access the charging ports contained upon appropriate First Order ships. On the field however, this power source is unlikely to be present. Requiring the operator to exit their armor and begin the total and lengthy changing of the battery to a full one -or else the suit will become completely immobile.-

This also provides an advantage. The rarity of Quintessence technology prevents the powerful suit from being commandeered by enemy troops, as once the battery runs out they will have no way to charge it again short of stealing the rare supplies from the First Order.

Baller looking suit of armor, and though I had envisioned the Dark Trooper Project more focused on stealth and mobility there's always a use for a hard target.

Bear in mind, the last time a suit of phrik power armor got approved it was Limited only and STILL required something like 100 posts of dev. [member="Popo"] could go into more detail, it was his stuff.

[member="Cyrus Tregessar"]
Y'all do realize, and this is like the eighteenth time I've said it, that you guys are the only faction with a contract for the M1-01 powered armor I made. Also, the Phrik variant of it is semi-unique. The standard is limited.

  • Uprated Sickbay - A standard sickbay with the addition of a dental and counseling offices, allowing the crew time to maintain their oral and mental health.

  • Bridge - Where the commanding officer and his/her crew monitor control of the vessel, getting readings, summaries and up to date notifications on the ship’s positions. The bridge also serves as the combat center where ship’s weapons and shields are fired and monitored.

  • Astrometrics Laboratory - Serves as both stellar cartography and advanced astronomical measurement and calculations. Astrometrics is considered an advanced stellar cartography lab. Astrometrics boasts and integrated data processing design within its own systems allowing it to process data faster. Information from Astrometrics can be relayed to the bridge upon request.

  • Multi-Direction Sensor Array - A short range array that is actually comprised of twelve different arrays, the MDSA works with the navigational computer and long range sensors to compile information and data that is then analyzed by Astrometrics.

  • Operations Management - Their functionality is again much like that of the Vindicator only there is only one office aboard a Raptor-class and it is housed in Upper Engineering.

  • Upper/Lower Engineering - The bulk of the engines are housed in lower engineering, but the upper portion houses a lot of the software and electrical components of the engine systems. The Raptor was built from newer-aged designs as opposed to older models like that of the Vindicator. There are no offices for the Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer per say, but rather built in cubicles that function as offices for these senior/junior officers.

Strengths:
[+] Phone Home: The Raptor is equipped with four advanced homing cluster missiles enabling the Raptor to lock in on her targets and ensure their destruction. Alternatively she can adjust her target lock to multiple targets.

[+] Repeat, This: Dual repeating turbolasers make up the Raptor’s main armament enabling the Raptor to provide cover fire for both allied capital and escort ships. Repeating turbolasers allow the Raptor to constantly fire on her targets enabling her to do an increased amount of damage per second.

Weaknesses:
[-] Long Ranger: The Raptor does not have long range capabilities and must be in standard or short range to be considered effective. While she is equipped with advanced homing missiles it is best if she releases them within ten kilometers to be considered effective.

[-] A Missing Scale: For all her defensive abilities, the Raptor does have a missing scale or the chink in her armor. Two actually a weakened spot where the bridge is, and the exhaust port in the rear of the ship.

[-] Limited Payload: Because of how many missiles are launched in a cluster, the Raptor carries a limited payload for each of her launchers. Once she has exhausted all of her missiles she is left with her defensive cannons and turbolasers until she’s able to reload.

[-] Hot Pursuit: As powerful as the Raptor’s missiles can be, it is recommended that they be allowed to cool down at minimum forty-five seconds between firing. The launchers have a tendency to overheat if they are forced to rapidly deliver their payload.

Description: Primo Victorian's new owner, Admiral Fiolette Yvarro took the blue prints for the formerly named Magnus-class and reworked the design into her Raptor-class. The Raptor-class is meant to assist other capital ships, her long range turbolasers and advanced homing cluster missiles serve to give the Raptor teeth. This is in addition to her dual repeating turbolasers and regular quad turbolasers.

Thick plating and a reinforced frame, Admiral Yvarro now focused Primo Victorian's efforts from just design into both design and production. Her experience from the Battle of Castameer showed her exactly what the First Imperial Navy needed and where they could improve. The Raptor-class will begin production at the formerly named Cloud City Imperial Shipworks, now called Cloud City Victorian Shipworks.

The Raptor’s design is meant to give the First Order Navy another frigate that can complement the current fleet manifest with a ship that is both heavily defended and armed. Funded in part by the Kerkov Naval Foundation and the First Order Memorial Fund. Admiral Yvarro aims to have the FIV Raptor, FIV Rapscallion, FIV Rex and the FIV Regina out within the coming months.

Intent: To create an assault frigate that is capable of holding its own in battle, and to help diversify the FO's Navy. Giving Fleeters and Captains another option of vessel to bring with them.

Name: Imperial Praetorian Marines
Intent: To serve as all-purpose soldiers for naval security, boarding actions, and even Zero-G combat in the vacuum of space.
Affiliation: First Imperial Navy, [member="Tanomas Graf"]

Availability: Unique

Quality: B - Veteran

Type: Infantry

Strength: A standardized Imperial battalion - 640 to 800 men depending on current resources

Description: After various boarding actions, including the Blackwing Outbreak in the Red Nebula, common stormtroopers were shown to be inept against extraordinary threats such as spies, special forces assassins, and especially the paranormal such as shambling corpses. Therefore, a specialized unit was created to deal with a specialized threat.

The Imperial Praetorian Marines is a one-of-a-kind battalion filled with veterans of the First Order Army. These troopers have been trained in zero-G combat and repelling bordings as well as leading them, with specialized armor that distinguishes and protects them from hostile environments such as the vacuum of space.

Interestingly enough, The First Order has began to equipt them with new versions of the ancient DC-15A that was used during the Clone Wars, proven to be a superior rifle. The armor also appears to be inspired by the 21st Nova Corps or 'Galactic Marines' from the same era.

Currently the Praetorian Marines are stationed on the flagship of Admiral Tanomas Graf, as a type of field test before wide-scale deployment across the entire Navy.

Just a notice, if you want to sub to factory and aren't sure about who manufactures it and want to make sure that this is for the First Order only, you can use the FOCIE, the First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers who can make whatever it is the First Order needs they are recognized as a part of the FO aka a Major Faction and you won't have to worry about company tiers :)
