Hyperdrive Class: 1.0
Minimum Crew: 5,000
Optimum Crew: 36,755 (+330 Gunners)
Cargo Capacity: 36,000mt
Consumables: 6 years
Strengths:
  • Ship of the Line: After dozens of successful field tests and missions with the IDX, it has now gone through the process of becoming the mainline ship for the First Imperial Navy, with thousands across all of their sectors.
  • Heavy Shielding: The IDX carries massive generators that envelop the warship in near-impenetrable shielding, protecting it from any turbolaser or projectile the enemy may throw at it.
  • Invasion Force: Within the belly of this beast is a complex and storage bay, with a two squadrons of fighters, dozens of walkers, and even a prefabricated garrison for the invasion and occupation of planetary bodies.
Weaknesses:
  • Low Maneuverability: Even though the star destroyer has a good speed for its class, it's slower to turn than an army being forced into a bottleneck.
  • Lack of Aft Weaponry: With the terrifying amount of weaponry, the IDX only has an abysmal amount of weaponry on its aft, sporting only a few light laser cannons and point defense guns.
  • Vulnerable Bridge: While maintaining the design of the Imperial-class, the IDX still has the same flaw. A magnificient command tower that continues to be the target of rampant concentrated firepower and kamikaze attacks.
Description: For the First Order, Naval superiority has always been about having the largest, most terrifying ships with the largest, most destructive turbolasers as evident by their lack of frigates and other sub-capital vessels. The same could be said about their ancestor the Galactic Empire with their notorious Imperial-class line of ships and others such as the Tector-class and the Praetor-class.

So when they had the chance to salvage the ancient designs and technology of the former Empire, it was an offer too great to refuse. Afterwards, the ingenious technicians, engineers, contractors, and even naval commanders came together to create a technological wonder, a new Imperial Star Destroyer that would combine the orderly design of the Old Empire with the devastating technology of the New Order.

The Imperial X-class Star Destroyer has merged destruction, subjugation, and defense all into one entity. On the exterior are numerous individual guns that can reign havoc on enemy vessels, along with decent armor plating and fantastic shielding. On the interior is two full squadrons of starfighters ready to intercept and destroy enemy craft, but the most notable thing is the fully equipped invasion force ready to conquer a planet for the Order in record time.

All in all, the Imperial X is a ship to be feared by its enemies and respected by its allies. Though even the most greatest of battleships have their flaws; due to the amazing amount of technology and the sheer size of the destroyer, its ability to turn is sluggish at best, which unfortunately compliments its lack of aft weaponry, giving the enemy an advantage if they so happen to maneuver behind it. But its last and most fatal flaw is its towering command bridge which, as proven by the super star destroyer Executor, is vulnerable to suicidal fighter pilots and angry enemy fleets.

Intent: To create a mainline star destroyer, easy to produce in large numbers but powerful enough to not fool around with.
Who Can Use This: The First Order Navy

If this isn't for a pre-approved starship design that can be tossed into the Military Assets, I have a couple of suggestions:

* Admittedly, I haven't peaked around the Factory anytime recently to seen what things are powered like, but I think the armament consisting of 900 turbolasers might be considered excessive. The original Imperator-I Star Destroyer from the original trilogy only had something like 60 turbolaser batteries, and was only a hundred meters or so smaller.

* And this is only a nitpick on my part, but 2 squadrons is a little small for the starfighter compliment of what would be our main-stay Ship of the Line. The original Imperator-I had a Wing of 72 fighters, which is approximately 6 squadrons. So I think we should keep that in mind when we figure out hangar bay sizes.

Other than that, I think it looks awesome! [member="Tanomas Graf"]

Actually, the canon Imperial I-class was always 1600m as stated in the wiki page, the Imperial II-class was a hundred meters longer I believe. But you are right about there only being 60 turbolaser batteries, but I believe that turbolaser batteries and turbolasers are a different thing, I am literally following the template right here and it says that a Star Destroyer has 900 turbolasers.

As for the squadrons you have me there, again in the template it states that the standard destroyer only has 2 squadrons (of 16 ships each I assume, from your table). But canonically it says that it has a full wing of TIEs plus shuttles, transports, and walkers.

I might switch it to the Balanced Star Destroyer preset so they can be five squadrons but only 600 turbolasers.

When in doubt, do what the templates say, and not the guy who doesn't know what he's talking about regarding the in-game stats, lol.

I definitely agree switching to the Balanced Star Destroyer template might be better suited for us too. TIE Fighters are historically made for swarming tactics, so having a smaller compliment will traditionally mean decreased combat effectiveness.

Balanced it is, Better to have your starfighter support than get destroyed cause you underestimated the enemy ships.

Those 600 turbolasers are just the baseline the FJ's use. That translates to 1200 'armament points' you can distribute however you like, based off the capital ship weapons exchange chart in the same link.

For whatever reason, the current meta of the factory is to use unique faction specific barrel-consolidation weapons in lieu of masses of turbolasers. @Evangeline Omvar has a number of such models in her blog and I some of those were subbed as well. I would highly recommend those, anything gun related made by Popo is usually a good deal. For a general purpose line capital ship, I recommend at least having some weapons at all ranges, though you can probably limit how much 'long-range' stuff you've got (specialist ships can handle that).

For a ship of the line, I would focus on defense over offense. A large hanger is good, but it couldn't hut to emphasize the ships durability and the like. Obviously, try not to sacrifice firepower. Dev is required for a vessel this large in the first place, and extra gives you some leeway with ratings and squadron sizes. Additionally, a longer description always helps, most of the judges tend to reward effort, at least to some degree.

Otherwise don't forget that part of the power of a classic Star Destroyer was that they were really a fully contained military base. The troop complement and landing craft shouldn't be forgotten, these ships are power projection made reality.

I've edited a lot of things and set the production to minor.

Again, feedback and criticism is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Trying not to piss off the factory judges ;)

I'd check with @Evangeline Omvar but I believe the Pursuit is worth 4 PD weapons. I would say, drop to 20 and just roll with it. I would also keep it Mass Production, if it's meant to be our standard Star Destroyer. Really it's not too difficult to not piss off the FJ's as long as you keep things respectful and don't try and sneakily stack bonuses. There's nothing particularly special about this ship, it's just powerful in several aspects, as long as you've got to dev to account for it you should be good to go.

Don't quote me on that though, I've been wrong before. Overall a good looking ship, especially if it's your first sub.

Model: Resurgent-class
Modularity: N/A
Production: Unique (must be approved for use by First Order Faction Administration)
Material: Alusteel, Durasteel, transparisteel, glassteel, and other star destroyer construction materials
Classification: Command Ship

Length: 2,915.81m
Width: 1,500m
Height: 650m

Armament:
  • Over 3,000 turbolasers and ion cannons
  • Tractor Beam Projectors
Defenses:
  • Point Defense Turrets
  • Point Defense Missile Emplacements

Hangar:
  • One Starfighter Wing consisting of:
  • 100 AALs
  • Ground Vehicles
  • Prefabricated Ground Base

Special Features:

Maneuverability Rating: 20
Speed Rating: 20
Hyperdrive Class: 1.0

Strengths:
  • Heavy guns - The vessel features over 3,000 turbolasers and ion cannons as its main armament. These weapons have been boosted by Kyber Focusing Crystals, allowing the ship to field a devastatingly lethal barrage of weaponry.
  • Sith Meditation Sphere - Integrated into the ship's systems is a salvaged Sith Meditation Sphere. Although heavily damaged and weathered, the hull was salvagable enough to be integrated into the command ship, allowing Admiral Avicus DuSang to view the battlefield in real time and boost the fleet's morale with mass battle meditation.
  • Command ship - Capable of operating as a flagship, the vessel can also operate as a central hub for starfighter wings and planetary assaults. With two wings of starfighters and thousands of stormtroopers at hand, this ship can easily mark the beginning of the end of any adversary.
Weaknesses:
  • Ponderous - Though heavily armed and armored, the ship is heavy and slow. First Order Star Destroyers have heavy emphasis on armor and weaponry, and lack in maneuverability and speed.
  • Susceptible to Fighter Attacks - To make way for the Sith Meditation Sphere, a hangar was commissioned to hold the vessel. As such, the Concordia holds half as many TIE fighters. This gap in armament makes her more susceptible to fighter attack.
  • Command Ship - Though highly resilient and difficult to destroy, the destruction of this ship is almost guaranteed to send the rest of the fleet into disarray as the chain of command must adapt. Any fleeter worth their salt should do their best to destroy or neutralize this ship to gain a massive advantage in the engagement.

Description:
Concordia was designed to head the Grand Moff's fleet. She is the perfect blend of firepower and sophistication. Truly a joint venture between the Moff Council and First Order Navy. Some storage space was allotted to add in a magnificent suite for the Grand Moff, as well as a regal conference room for diplomatic missions, and stately quarters for guests of the Grand Moff and foreign delegates who wish to have an audience with the First Order.

Tactically, she has been modified with a salvaged Sith Meditation Sphere. A hangar was taken out to accompany the structure. Though unable to operate on it's own, the Sphere has been connected to the ship, shielding the sphere deep within the belly of Concordia.

Development Thread:
Intent: The flagship of the Grand Moff's fleet. A ship that can serve as a battle station, and host diplomatic meetings.

Material: Trimantium/Titanium Alloy Plates, Duraplast Layering (Beneath Plates), Thin Thermal Gel Layer, Transparisteel used in Helmet.
Classification: General Purpose
Weight: 16 kg
Quality: 7
Special Features:
Vibro-Shiv Gauntlets
Multi-Spectrum HUD in Helmet

Strengths:
Limited Thermal Resistance
Limited Lightsaber Resistance
Impact Resistant
Blaster Resistant
Weaknesses:
Not Fully Sealed
Two Vulnerabilities between layered plates in the back of the Torso. (Spaces to accommodate his wings)
No Life Support System
Somewhat Heavy
Difficult to Modify

Description: Un-named Armor was created by Phenex Ren to accommodate his unique anatomy. Phenex had acquired design plans for traditional armor used by S'kytrian warriors during his time as a guard for the Patriarch. Using those plans, he has designed and forged a single set of armor to reflect his allegiance to the Order of Ren. While the armor is based off of a S'kytri design, it is significantly more heavy than the traditional armor worn by Phenex's people. Due to this, mobility while in flight is degraded. In addition to mobility, the suit has been modified to allow his wings to protrude from the rear which creates two weak spots in the back of the torso. That also means that this suit of armor is effectively useless in the vacuum of space and also creates a weakness to flame based weapons if attacked from the rear.

The armor itself is created from an alloy of Trimantium and Titanium, the two metals formed together into a cohesive plate. Beneath the outer plate is a Duraplast layer which aids in increasing the armor's ballistic and blunt force resistance. Finally, formed in the duraplast are a series of compartments filled with thermal gel to aid in thermal resistance from either flame weapons or high heat yield blasters.

The armor is donned in sections, the plates layered and slide against each other. If sufficiently damaged either by repeated lightsaber blows or excessive blunt force, the armor can warp causing mobility issues. In addition, while the suit of armor is resistant to Lightsabers, blunt force, ballistics and blasters, repeated hits in the same area will cause the alloy to stress fracture or break and it is not impenetrable. Resistant yes, impenetrable, no. Additionally, the armor is designed to be thinner than most standard combat gear so it does not hold up as well as a suit of the same type might against Lightsaber strikes, Blasters, or blunt force. This is so that the wearer, Phenex Ren can still fly using his wings.

Special Features: Listed As;
  • Forward Lounge - A lounge for both enlisted and officers to come and relax, grab a drink or a meal. Provides an alternative to the mess hall or the officer’s galley.
  • Uprated Infirmary - Unlike some of the smaller vessels where the infirmary may only serve as a meatball shop of horrors, the Vindicator-class comes equipped with an uprated infirmary that has a small triage center and two operating rooms along with the standard sickbay compliments.
  • Electronic Warfare CM/CCM Systems - In the new age of war, one must always be prepared for the electronic side of the battle, the Vindicator-class comes equipped to handle such aggressions and to unleash its own barrage of electronic warfare as well. (Countermeasure / Counter-countermeasure)
  • Combat Information Center - The CIC is typically where the CSG (Carrier Starfighter Wing) Commander will be along with his staff to coordinate the battle around the Vindicator-class.
  • Bridge - Where the Commanding Officer of this fine starship shall command maintain command of his ship, this is where he and the other officers (senior officers while on alpha shift) shall coordinate their efforts to ensure victory.
  • Security Offices - Due to the size of the Vindicator-class it comes standard with a security office, meant for the chief of security and his/her officers to enforce the laws of both the First Order and the First Imperial Navy. They also maintain and track weapons that are used by the personnel on the ship, keep them clean and ensure that weapons are always stocked in their respective armories so that when needed any service member may grab them for use of defense. Additionally, security personnel keep take up contraband, guard the brig, and escort VIP to and from various locations. A member of Security may be present on the bridge to assist the Tactical Officer, by keeping track of shields, weapons power and hull integrity. They’re also trained to handle the Electronic Warfare CM/CCM Systems.
  • Tactical Offices - Neighboring the security officers, are the tactical officers whose job it is to maintain the weapons outside the ship. They study strategy and in the case of the Vindicator-class work closely with Strategic Operations to ensure that during battle both Starfighters and Tactical personnel are working together as one cohesive unit. Additionally, tactical personnel are always learning how to be more effective with their Warship’s weaponry. They’re trained to use the Sensors and Targeting Systems. Tactical Officers work closely with their Security Officer friends.
  • Main Engineering - The heart of the Vindicator-class starship are her engines and here you will find the Chief Engineer and his/her personnel working hard to keep the Vindicator running. They’re also trained to use the Hazard and Damage Control Systems, along with the Environmental Control Systems. Works closely with Security while aboard the bridge to keep hull integrity, and shield systems online.
  • Operations Management - Who keeps tracks of all the inventory, supplies, spreadsheets, power usage and overall personnel? Operations, from quartermasters to personnel officers the men and women who work Operations are also trained to handle communications systems and typically house the cryptologists and linguists under their branch as well. They work with just about everyone while on the bridge.

  • Standard Warship Sensors and Targeting Systems
  • Standard Warship Communications Systems
  • Standard Warship Environmental Control Systems
  • Standard Warship Tractor Beam

Maneuverability Rating: 12
Speed Rating: 12
Hyperdrive Class: 2

Strengths:
[+] Buying Time: With her armaments and defenses, the Vindicator is capable of holding her own in battle. She is also capable of providing a more than adequate distraction and buying time for capital ships or any other allied vessel to make a retreat, complete their objective or it can come in as reinforcement.

[+] Dual Role: While normally she might have her own escorts, the Vindicator is also capable of escorting larger vessels such as a capital ship, or flagship to and from it’s destination points and while in battle. With her compliment of squadrons the Vindicator stands ready to serve the First Order.

Weaknesses:
[-] Steady As She Goes: The Vindicator sits at around 600 meters in length and thus her engines require time to power up, approximately forty-five seconds in total to get her into hyperspace. Additionally her maneuverability suffers while she’s on par for most ships her size, she suffers an approximate .009 second delay per meter she’s attempting to turn - this obviously will add up considerably in the bigger picture, thus why she normally has a set of escorts with her to assist in cover fire as she turns.

[-] We’ve Got No Shields: As formidable as she might be, the Vindicator has not been equipped with any sort of specialized shielding and thus they can be brought down often leaving her open for kinetic and energy weapons to damage to her hull. She’ll require skilled commanders to keep her alive while in the thick of the most grueling battles she’ll face in the future.

[-] I’m No Fighter: As she was built to be a light carrier the Vindicator was not given enough teeth to hold her own against anything else except another light carrier and even then she’s taking a risk. She was meant to be fielded as part of a task group or task force, a team. Thus if caught off guard on her own, she’s quite vulnerable until help arrives. Smaller vessels can out maneuver out, and larger foes may have more firepower than she can withstand.

[-] She’s Exhausted: As aforementioned it does take quite some time for the engines to power up, the engines were based on older Galactic Empire engines, so their design and layout mimic those older vessels and are not built with efficiency in mind as thus her exhaust output is tremendous and she is easily tracked because of it.

Description: The Vindicator-class was sponsored by Commodore Haliswick and paid for by the Tarkin Naval Foundation. She was designed by the Primo Victorian Shipwrights, production on the Vindicator-class began soon after Dosuun had been won by the First Order. Due to her size and special features, the Vindicator is produced at the Dosuun Shipyards that orbit the capital world.

Her maiden vessel, the FIV Avalonia is due off the line shortly, she along with sister ships Prosperia, Victoria and Fortuna. Primo Victorian Shipyards created the Vindicator based off older Imperial warships, namely those that hark back to the Galactic Empire era. She was also built with the future in mind, as the Corps of Imperial Engineers work to create a new type of shield, and shield generator exclusively for the First Imperial Navy...

The Vindicator stands as a testament to the First Order’s future and a salute to the past.

Fantastic sub, I love the attention to naval detail in it. I will say that typically the folks doing logistics are known as 'Supply' department, with 'Operations' being more involved in actually fighting the ship and flight ops and such. Also curious as to what the FICL stands for. If it's class nomenclature, I'm all about it, but there's a risk if we don't set a standard that you end up with a million conflicting translations like in canon.

But it's a bit overpowered for the current templates. A basic Carrier Cruiser at 1000m nets 4 Arm, 10 Def, and 6 squadrons. You're sitting at 12/12 and 7 squadrons and 600m. I'd roll with it for now but be prepared to cut as necessary.

Armament is the easiest one to dispense with, and I think it's pretty safe to play with the actual weapon lineup to say that the ship is capable of holding its own in a firefight with smaller ships (and with strike craft making up the difference against similarly-sized vessels.

The other issue is that you've got speed and maneuverability listed as a weakness, but the standard if 15/14. Now 12/12 is slow for a 600m vessel, but yeah there's inconsistency there.

Dev can give you some leeway, but as you've already subbed it to he factory, well, consider this advance warning.

Standardized Warship Shielding

Hangar: 0 Squadrons

Special Features: Listed as;

  • Crew Club - Where officers and enlisted can come for a drink, play a few card games, listen to the scuttle butt and just relax after a hard day’s (or night’s) work.

  • Uprated Sickbay - A standard sickbay with the addition of a dental and counseling offices, allowing the crew time to maintain their oral and mental health.

  • Bridge - Where the commanding officer and his/her crew monitor control of the vessel, getting readings, summaries and up to date notifications on the ship’s positions. The bridge also serves as the combat center where ship’s weapons and shields are fired and monitored.

  • Stellar Cartography Labs - Unique to the Dagger-class, are the stellar cartography labs as the galaxy around us is ever changing, and the Dagger being as agile, as maneuverable and as mass produced as it is... Is able to maintain up to date records and charts of the stars around First Imperial Territory.

  • Electronic Warfare CM/CCM Systems - In the new age of war, one must always be prepared for the electronic side of battle, the Dagger-class comes equipped to handle such aggressions and to unleash its own barrage of electronic warfare as well. (Countermeasure / Counter-countermeasure)

  • Advanced Sensors and Targeting Systems - Unlike say the Vindicator which comes with standard sensors and targeting systems, the Dagger is able to track vessels a lot easier than her big sister. Advanced targeting is twice as effective as standard systems. Allowing the Dagger to find her foes faster than other vessels in the First Imperial Navy.

  • Security/Tactical Offices - Function much like offices aboard a Vindicator-class vessel, but due to the size of the Dagger the offices are often combined and are less frequent than on her sister.

  • Logistics Management - Their functionality is again much like that of the Vindicator only there is only one office aboard a Dagger-class and it is housed in Upper Engineering.

  • Upper/Lower Engineering - The bulk of the engines are housed in lower engineering, but the upper portion houses a lot of the software and electrical components of the engine systems. The Dagger was built from newer-aged designs as opposed to older models like that of the Vindicator. There are no offices for the Chief Engineer / Assistant Chief Engineer per say, but rather built in cubicles that function as offices for these senior/junior officers.

  • Standard Warship Hazard and Damage Control Systems

  • Standard Warship Sensors and Targeting Systems

  • Standard Warship Communications Systems

  • Standard Warship Environmental Control Systems

  • Standard Warship Tractor Beam

Maneuverability Rating: 7
Speed Rating: 7
Hyperdrive Class: 1

Strengths:
[+] I Will Find You: With its advanced targeting and sensor systems, the Dagger makes it a priority to find elusive targets - even those that might try to hide using stealth or cloaking technology. A Dagger-class blockade runner is 20% to 30% more likely to find a cloaked or stealthed ship than a vessel without its advanced targeting/sensor systems.
[+] More Pew-Pew: The dagger has a higher rate of damage output per second than her sister the Vindicator, enabling her to bring down enemy vessels shields and hull integrity at more rapid rate. Her rate of fire is approximately 33.34% more effective than the Vindicator’s as well.

Weaknesses:
[-] Don’t Hurt Me: While the Dagger boasts the ability to bite more often than the Vindicator she’s a smaller vessel and her shields are not able to withstand a tremendous amount of firepower.
[-] Fire in the Hole: Because she is made for quantity over quality her engine rooms are more susceptible to fire and electrical shortages than other vessels of her type.
[-] Not So Fast: She might be fast, but she’s certainly not the fastest in the fleet or in the Galaxy, and thus she has been outpaced - nevertheless, it will be up to her commanding officer on how her speed is utilized.
[-] Instant Death: As aforementioned because she is not able to withstand a tremendous amount of firepower there are plenty of vessels within the galaxy who are more than capable of delivering a wide area of effect blow that would more than likely seal the Dagger’s fate and send her to an early grave.

Description: Sponsored by Lady Levinson of Talbot County on Dosuun, paid for through the leftover donations from the Curovao Family of Brentaal IV the Dagger-class is produced at the Primo Victorian Shipyards in Victoria City (also known as the Third City). Primo Victorian Shipwrights also designed the vessel to be a small sister ship to the Vindicator-class light carrier.

Production for the Dagger has now been extended to the Curovao Shipyards above Ryoone and will also be produced at Cloud City Fleet surrounding Bespin, with Primo Victorian maintaining contracts for productions thereof; although they are not opposed to subcontracting out various parts to be produced elsewhere.

The Dagger was built with escorting the Vindicator in mind, and thus works to compliment the larger vessel. And much like the Vindicator, the Dagger was built as a look toward the future with the hallmark of the past Galactic Empire within its design.

4x Turbolaser attached to the side wing tips forward firing arc

2x Pursuit Class Missile System one topside and one ventral

STRENGTHS

  • To boldly go where it probably should not - relying on stealth systems to remain undetected a careful commander can use the Raider IV as both recon and hunter.
  • Turn on a dime - Being quick and manoeuvrable make this corvette one of the fastest ships of its size in the First Order fleet capable of keeping pace with its TIE units.
  • Torpedoes away - carrying a large compliment of torpedo's allows this vessel to do some burst damage to enemy vessels.

WEAKNESSES

  • Do not bend - the ship is far less durable than others of its size and class with less shielding it relies on hit and run or speed to get out from combat. Vulnerable to AOE attacks if cloaked as shields will be down.
  • Handle with care - the new Raider is an expensive upgrade from the older model and so takes longer to both produce and repair.
  • She’s losing power - With the stealth technology of the Raider eating up a great deal of power the ship cannot maintain full power to both cloak and engines. when stealthed the ship moves more sluggishly.
  • Intensify forward firepower - Most of the heavier weaponry is stuck in the forward facing position.

Intent
To create a fast stealth Corvette and give First Order Commanders some variety of ships and also to use my favourite Imperial design from Armada! And to add a boarding dynamic that would be interesting and fun for players.

Description:
With the burning away of the Imperial Remnant many of the Imperial Raider III’s were mothballed or used as training ships. A small number fell into the hands of the First Order who used them in anti piracy operations. A large scale project has begun to diversify the fleet and give the Navy the tools it needs other than the bludgeoning weight of the Star Destroyers. The decision was made to use the existing template of the Raider III and upgrade it. These vessels would be top of the line scouts able to outrun anything it couldn’t outfight and hide from anything it might not be able to do either against.

While the refit itself was not expensive the inclusion of cloaking system was. The First Order contacted Open Cirlce Conglomerate to be the prime manufacturer of the new vessel. There are also grumbles from within the Navy that for the price of a Raider IV they could have two more light carriers with tie fighter squadrons and so is not cheap to produce or replace.

They are long range scouts at heart, able to quickly get to where they need to be with advanced sensor technology making excellent spies for any fleet admiral. They’re also capable of deploying First Order stormtroopers and Commandos to enemy installations or starships using their stealth systems to get in close before un-cloaking and drop podding the soldiers onto the target.

The piloting controls are sensitive and it takes an experienced pilot and commander to take full advantage of the ships very fine manoeuvrability. In battle the ship typically stays hidden waiting to strike at vessels with their shields down with its proton torpedo compliment or to board fleeing enemy vessels and harass enemy ships. Against starfighters the Raider has a moderate compliment for defence between missile bays and some point defence cannons.

Special Features]
As a primary stealth ship the new Raider IV boasts increased power conversion to power the stealth field powered by Stygian crystals.

The limited space within the ship hull for so many power systems means the ship has to make a compromise between its ability to move quickly and expediently and to defend itself. This also means the shield generator the ship is not as powerful as would normally be expected for a ship of this size and instead relies on manoeuvrability to evade any open combat.

Reflec paint job helps hide the Raiders thermal signatures but also while engaged with the cloak means no other sensory system than rudimentary radar can be used for avoiding collision and detection.

Instead of fully functioning escape pods the ship carries specialised drop pods meant for quick insertion of stormtrooper or other units into the atmosphere or onto the hull of an enemy vessel. Each pod can carry twelve personal but has no life support and little in the way of course correction.

The inclusion of the oversized TIE wings allowed the ship manoeuvrability that would be considered impressive for a ship of its size and the large engine gives it the ability to speed ahead of any capital grade ships. Able to enter atmosphere and deploy troops directly it could also serve as close support to any teams able to deliver photon barrages or strafing runs with the turbo lasers.

The turreted weaponry of the ship is housed in retractable compartments much like the original Raider but with improved compartmentalisation technology allowing a greater number of the weapons to be installed. The Turbo lasers are installed in the wingtips on the port and starboard sides.

The Bridge of the Raider received an update needing a smaller crew to directly operate there is position for a navigator, pilot and weapons operator. The side stations control the sensor suits.

For the officers aboard a more spacious accommodation with personal storage unit and a desk with links to the encrypted channels of the ship allowing private communiques to be sent and received. However it is by no means luxury and would pale in comparison to the officers quarters aboard a less cramped vessel.

Screenshot_2016_09_13_15_29_26_763434.jpg
For the enlisted and Stormtroopers aboard hot bunking is the norm with cramped living conditions. Storage lockers are communal. Luxury was not in mind when this was designed.

The stealth system of the ship eats up a great deal of power and space on board and requires skilled technicians to keep in working condition and long periods of maintenance.

Screenshot_2016_09_13_15_29_44_215432.jpg

The cargo hold of the vessel is far smaller than the average escort due to the increased space of the hyperdrive. Nevertheless it can carry plenty of its needed supplies for both the cloak and crew for six months.

Screenshot_2016_09_13_15_30_13_848127.jpg
For staff meetings and high profile intelligence gathering a conference room sits to the side of the bridge. Allowing the crew to be able to send encrypted data or analyse the data from the Raider IV’s impressive sensor suite.

Unlike previous the new model Raider carries a full medical bay with a ship doctor while assisted by droid orderlies usually with some training in counselling as the long deployments that could negatively affect the crew's ability to function.

Special Features: Listed as;

  • Crew Club - Where officers and enlisted alike can come for a drink, play a game of cards, listen to scuttle or listen to a few holoradio programs.

  • Redundant Shield Generators - housed near engineering, these generators kick in to provide shields when primary shields fail, secondary will take over until they’re depleted or until primary shields have come back online.

  • Traditional Sickbay - A traditional sickbay equipped with five beds maximum.

  • Unified Galley - Officers and enlisted share a galley / mess hall.

  • Bridge - Where the commanding officer and his/her senior officer staff monitor the ship’s vitals and lead their crew during battle.

  • Officer Cabins - Officers share their cabins, two to a room.

  • Enlisted Cabins - Enlisted share either four or six to a room.

  • Engineering - Adjacent to the shield generators, engineering houses the Fortan’s core and ensures that her systems are functional.

  • Logistics Management - A limited few from logistics can be accommodated aboard the Fortan.

  • Sec/Tac Offices - Once more the departments are combined and are limited to one office aboard the Fortan-class Heavy Corvette.

  • Decryption Labs - Unique to the Fortan-class are the decryption labs, for while the Fortan is meant to fight and harass a larger vessel, she is also able to decode or encode high priority messages or intercepted messages from the enemies of the First Order, making her well suited to travel alongside the Dagger.

Maneuverability Rating: 8
Speed Rating: 8
Hyperdrive Class: 1

Strengths:
[+] Explain! Explain!: Equipped with decryption labs the Fortan-class vessel is able to decrypt or encrypt just about any message. Giving her the ability to grab and go, grab the necessary bits of information and leave the area before anyone comes the wiser.
[+] Bring Me the Doctor!: Built with redundant shield generators the Fortan is able to withstand a little more punishment than her bigger sister the Dagger. Add in her speed and maneuverability and the Fortan can be quite the little pest scratching into the capital ship’s she’s meant to harass.

Weaknesses:
[-] Exterminated: The Fortan is small, smaller than the Dagger so as you can imagine, should she misstep at any point she’ll join the Dagger in the early grave.
[-] It’s Smaller on the Inside: Baradium-missile storage is housed next to Sickbay, a singular well placed shot to Sickbay will run right through to the missile storage compartment, and that will spell the end of the Fortan.
[-] Run For Your Life: Run, run very, very fast Fortan, most especially if you’re out match and out gunned. The Fortan while meant to harass capital ships is not meant to do so for very long. Her shields will only hold up for so long and her armor is thinner than the Dagger. (Approximately 3.6% Thinner)
[-] There’s Always A North: Due to the cramped space AND thin armor the Fortan runs the risk of premature death from her crew’s own mishaps, accidents and errors. Most notably because her shield generators are next door to the engine room, one fatal error and she’ll not survive long enough for her crew to make it to their lifepods.

Description: Funded and sponsored through a joint partnership between the Bespin Imperial Shipworks and the Galactic Empire Historical Association, the Fortan-class named in honor of the Fortan family. Has recently begun production at both the Cloud City Imperial Shipworks and Curovao Shipyards which has taken half of the orders to assist with production deadlines.

The Fortan-class is also a Primo Victorian design, manufactured through the First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers. The third design is meant to compliment the Vindicator and the Dagger, respectively. The goal was to develop a vessel who would be able to harass capital vessels while buying the Dagger and Vindicator time. Primo Victorian worked closely with the FOCIE during initial development.

Once more Primo Victorian aimed to blend the old with the new. This particular design was the second design presented to Bespin Imperial and GEHA, and ultimately the design that is now being produced. The Fortan-class Heavy Corvette is due to make her appearance sometime next quarter.

Model - TIE/sf mark 2
Modularity - No
Production - Mass Produced
Material - Durasteel
Classification - Space Superiority Starfighter
Length - 6.7m
Height - 8m
Width - 6.4m

Armament (10)
  • Two fixed forward firing Laser Cannons
  • Gimbal-mounted rear firing dual blaster cannon (limited firing arc)
  • Dual Purpose missile launcher - 3 concussion missile warheads, 3 mag-pulse warheads

Defenses (8)
  • Deflector Shields
  • High maneuverability
Squadron Count - 16, per new First Order Starfighter Corps regulations

Special Features

  • Basic life support systems, including air circulation and recycling.
  • Advanced targeting computer, including independent operation of rear defensive blasters.
  • Subspace transceiver antenna for long range communication.
  • Navigational computer with optional small-sized astromech housing station.
  • Basic deflector shield system.
  • Pilot ejection seat.
Maneuverability Rating - 2
Speed Rating - 2.5
Hyperspace Class - 3

Strengths
  • Highly maneuverable - The TIE/sf mk2 has undergone a streamlining process, removing excess weight and making small sacrifices to enhance the over-all agility of the starfighter.

Weaknesses
  • Fragile - Without the assistance of deflector shields, the TIE/sf is as vulnerable as previous iterations of the TIE fighter. They are easily disabled with a well aimed blast to a wing strut.

Description - With the First Order rapidly expanding it has become apparent to the Starfighter Corps High Command that a modernization program was necessary. The TIE/sf was chosen as the backbone of the fighter squadrons, and work was set into motion immediately to streamline the design. Optimized engines were selected, which provided no additional power but instead operated at cooler temperatures, resulting in prolonged life-span of the primary engine components and a less rigorous maintenance requirement due to reduced wear and tear, and component fatigue.

The largest change however, has come from the removal of gunner position and replaced the under-slung turret with a gimbaled dual blaster cannon. The blaster cannon offered slightly less destructive firepower with a reduced firing arc than the previous dual laser turret, but weighed less and afforded a larger rate of fire -- more useful in forcing an enemy into maneuvering away from a firing position of their own, than in out-right destroying the opponent. The interior space opened up by the removal of the dedicated gunner seat and equipment was filled with a targeting computer capable of automating the usage of rear defensive weaponry, as well as performing the functions of friend or foe identification, and other traditional firing computer functions.

Dev Thread - If necessary, probably even if not.

Intent - To update the standard duty TIE Fighter for First Order use, while keeping the canon forces of the First Order in mind. Previously the TIE/sf had been linked to the relevant Wookiepedia listing, and my goal with this submission is to bring the TIE/sf up to the site's template standards for ease of use and reference in the future.

Who Can Use - All First Order Starfighter Corps pilots.
