Private First day of the rest of our lives! (Yuroic/Jairdain/Marina/Asaraa)

The day was finally here. Yuroic was nervous as anything, they had decided to go small, focus on close ones being there since they were happy with just that. Asaraa was Yuroic's best man, or woman in this case and Jairdain chose Marina to be her maid of honour. Yuroic didn't know much about Marina but if Jairdain liked her then Yuroic knew she was someone to be trusted. As he looked at the different suits he got for the wedding, unable to pick just one and now feeling stupid since it seemed impossible to just pick one, he remembered the first day he met Jairdain.

She was sitting in a meditation room, ready to teach a class. It surprised Yuroic since he was older than her that someone so young could be so wise. She had been beautiful, graceful and smart, it had been hard to resist his desires to be with her and her desires to be with him. Yuroic's past had always held him back but they worked together and now here they were, getting married with a growing family.

Picking a suit Yuroic looked around and smiled to himself. Getting married, finally things were working out. Though he couldn't remember for the life of him where the bow tie was.

It were not everyday that a friend were to exchange wedding vows.
Vows that would unite and complete two individuals who's hearts had bonded. it were a special event and one of honor to be a part of. In this instance, marina were to be a Maid of Honor..the highest honor one could bestow on a friend. It were to be a journey her friend would want Marina to share with her to complete the ensuing bond of matrimony...

Kashyyyk system...

The Mariner IV came out of her jump 2,000 kilometers from the system. It were a safe emergence, and one clear of the mainstream planetary traffic.

be de beep be de.... Her droid TK-1213 announced they had received clearance to enter the system's atmosphere at the Mariner IV's requested approach.

"Good TK. lets start our descent." And away the ship angled for re-entry over Kashyyyk.

be de beep beep... her droid then asked, as the planet below loomed closer and closer.

"I don't know, TK. There may be one...maybe a few attending. I didn't ask." she replied looking over to her co-pilot, her astromech droid.

" But it would be interesting, as I too have never met a Wookie before."

The normally calm woman was quite nervous. Standing as bare as the day she was born, she gazed at the various dressed she had for formal occasions. This wasn't just another dance or some sort of diplomatic meeting, but her wedding. In the past, she had always favored the color blue and that was the case again today. Normally, Jairdain would have some sort of scarf or veil over her head, but she did away with that today. Instead, it would be around her shoulders and wrapped through her arms.

She did not choose to dress as a normal bride would with a one-piece dress and instead went with three. Her scarf, a long gold and blue skirt with a matching solid blue top. Short sleeves were trimmed with gold and the hem of her neck and bottom of the shirt. All in all, it was a very ornate outfit, but it really did fit her personality. It allowed her to show off some of what she remembered from her childhood and how the brides dressed on her homeworld.

Sage looked at the clock and mentally nudged her hurry up and finish getting ready. A small ceremony was planned with only a few people involved. Jairdain was quite thankful for this mutual decision, but she was still nervous. Letting out a small growl at Sage there was no anger in it and he could tell she wasn't mad. It was a day of celebration and union.

Somebody else would have to apply her makeup and after she got dressed, she took a seat as that was applied to her face. Not one to usually wear makeup, she felt this would be a surprise to everybody. What was applied only accented what features she already possessed and it was not overdone. At least, she hoped it wasn't.

Her maid of honor should have arrived already and the woman almost started pacing, but her arrival was announced and she left the room she had been in to greet her friend. Or at least meet her halfway. Not wanting to reveal to everybody what she was wearing, she hoped to keep it secret from Yuroic until she walked through the door to get married to him.

Another person she expected to show up was her brother. Just how he would come was sometimes a mystery, but he had been invited. Brother and sister had followed similar paths and had even met before they knew they were related. However, since they met, they had been there for each other and now it was his turn to support her in this.

A little wolf followed in the steps of Jairdain as she went to meet Marina and take her to where the wedding would be held. Giving her friend a hug, she held hands with her as they walked. Sweaty palms would tell her just how nervous Jairdain really was. Nervous and excited at the same time. Happy and truly looking forward to what was going to happen.

"I hope your journey here was uneventful. It's good to see you, Marina. Thank you for being here for me."

Squeezing her hand, it was almost as if she was clinging to her for support and not wanting to get swept away in everything that was going on.

Once upon a time, Vulpesen had been the only human child in a city of Amarans. Then, he was one of the few Zorrens left in the galaxy. Then, he was the only heir to house Torrevaso's legacy. Finally, he had found another of his blood. Jairdain was a new addition to his family, newer even than his own children. Still, she was an important development in his life and someone who meant a lot to him. Hearing of such a momentous day for her was something that he wouldn't dream of missing.

Arriving at the Venue, Vulpesen smiled brightly, his tail wagging slowly behind him as he glanced around. It was a small affair as far as he could tell, but that didn't stop him from bringing the first squad in as a security detail. Despite the escort and security, himself and his guards were dressed in their most formal of attires with the squad standing in their dress uniforms, and Vulpesen himself standing in his shimmering suit and coat.

"Ok, you take this one.." Marina propped her main luggage bag on her astromech droid.

"And we're all set to go." She then activated her ship's door, along with it's ramp. Her trusty droid followed her down and on to the landing bay's tarmac.
She had never been to Kashyyyk before and although she had been in awe looking out from her ship's cockpit, it were even more breathtaking outside the Mariner IV. The use of natural formations along with the forest trees fashioned into platforms kind of reminded her of landing on an exotic resort. But this was Kashyyyk and for the most part, everything was exotic. Well, it were Marina's first time on the system, so why wouldn't it be?

Marina's wrist crono with a kind of GPS directional finder, directed her over to where her friend had transmitted for her to go. Marina were checking out her surroundings, taking it all in when her droid beep in response to a familiar figure coming toward them. Marina looked over to where her droid had directed and instantly broke into a smile. It were her friend Jairdain...and her bonded companion, Sage.

"The jump was pretty clean...slept most of the way, yes..." Marina replied dropping her small bag to hug her friend. It were good to see her again and more so on her wedding day. Marina was almost as excited as her friend was, as were her droid who for some reason or other had taken to the miniature wolf the last time they met.

"Oh my, that is a wonderful dress you have on? " She commented on her friend's attire once she took a moment to step back and look her friend over.

"Is that part of the wedding dress? It's so beautiful and I can't wait to help you get ready for the ceremony.
TK (Marina's droid) has my dress and things in the case. " She then explained. as she did, her droid beeped and whistled to confirm that.
"I didn't come dressed because I thought I'd help you with your's first. I can just slip into mine in no time..." Marina went on talking away as usual, as Jairdain and Sage took to lead them way back to what looked like a version of a great house on Kashyyyk.

Feeling the arrival of her brother, she smiled, but her focus remained on her friend. Waiting for Marina to notice her, she nodded at the answer and returned the hug, Jairdain stepped back and twirled around to show off her dress.

"It is my dress. What do you think of it?"

The question had already been answered, but in her current frame of mind, it had gone in one ear and right out of the other. Walking together down the hallway, it didn't take them long to reach where the wedding would take place.

"You need a changing room! How silly of me to forget that. I am so sorry. This way."

Keeping her hand within Marina's, she brought her to the room where she had been dressing before she went to meet her. Waving the light on, she took a seat and motioned for her friend to go about her business.

"It's not like I'm going to be watching you or anything."

Once she was ready, Jairdain would reopen the door and Sage would poke his head out. Looking through his eyes, she turned back to her friend.

"Are you ready? I am so nervous."

Shyness were not within her scope.
Marina had been dressed by servants on many occasions growing up. Marina simply smiled over to Jairdain who she could see was indeed quite nervous. It meant and showed Marina that this day were as special to Jairdain as the day her friend would bring forth life, a child of her own into the world.

"I'm so happy for you, Jairdain. I will remember this day a lifetime also." Yes, marina would, as she were given the great honor of bearing witness to what was a holy matrimony. It were a great honor bestowed upon her by Jairdain. Their friendship would become bonded a lifetime also because of this day.

It took no time at all to pull out her grandmother's ivory and gold dress. A dress she had taken to wear on several occasions including banquets. it were one of several hundred classical apparel that her family kept through the generations. The DeVoes were not one to have apparel designed for just one occasion. Some designs like this particular dress was timeless and Marina had her favorites among the heirloom wardrobes. Well, especially the ones that were perfectly fitted. Seemed she shared her grandmother's figure at this age, and among her greater grandmothers. Naturally of course and without say Marina also shared that of her own mother too. In short, it seemed tradition ran deep with the DeVoe family.

Her droid whistled, followed with a double beep when Marina finally stepped over to see her reflection....a splitting image of her grandmother at this age. Her heart warmed to see her granny smiling back at her through the reflection. There was a connection that Marina had yet to understand within her own bloodline. Well, her droid TK1213 snapped Marina out of her thoughts.

"You know, If I didn't know any better, I'd swear you have a sarcastic streak in you, TK." Marina replied to her droid, as she finished to fix her braids. her droid backed up a tread and beep again before turning about and going over to where Sage was, next to Jairdain.

Again, she were quick, wasting no precious moments. Marina were a fast dresser and was ready and quite presentable, complimenting Jairadin's own chosen wedding dress. Both ladies unique by their own right.

"You radiate so wonderfully, Jairdain. " Marina were then able to focus all her attention back to her friend. Yes, it were not only what Marina were seeing of Jairdain's glowing features, but of what her friend had inside her, a good spirit awaiting to bond eternity with a soul mate.

"I'll be there close, with warm heart and spirit." She then said, as Jairdain and her were ready to leave the room.

Seemed that Asaraa was running late, Yuroic knew that was possible with his daughter now living in the Confederacy space it was harder for them to meet up and catch up. He missed the early days of their relationship where she was by his side, but she needed to grow into her own Jedi and he hoped that she was doing that safely. At least as safely as a Jedi could be. Yuroic adjusted his suit he wasn't sure about it but at the day he purchased the suit, he had been so sure this was the one he wanted to wear. Perhaps it was because it had been so long since he had to dress formal, perhaps it was a little bit of nerves for the big day. Though if he looked back, this was inevitable, he had never felt like he did with Jairdain.

Breathing deeply, he made a few more adjustments to his suit then thanked the Force that there was little he could do with his hair and his beard was smartly trimmed as he sighed. All that he needed was Asaraa to get here on time then he would be ready. He stepped out of the room he was in and looked around. It would be a small ceremony but Yuroic wanted to make sure that the location of the wedding was perfect, as he adjusted a few objects with the Force. While Jairdain might say she wouldn't have noticed them, Yuroic often thought that she could see better than he could at times. Especially when it came to other people.

Everything was going to be fine. There weren't going to be Sith or Mandalorian attacks, cause if they dare try he would rip them out of the sky. This was going to be smooth, calm wedding.

Life had gotten complicated for the young Jedi, well maybe not complicated so much as...interesting. The last time she'd faced the Dark Sun hadn't been fun, the monster had reached out through the force, tearing her mind apart as he threw image after image of death at her. Not just one death or two, the slaughter of cities, villages, entire populations. It had been a tsunami of darkness, of death that had threatened to swamp her, overwhelm her...overwhelm them. The Sith had torn aside the walls she'd erected to hold the memories of the sith who'd previously held her body at bay. Suddenly there were two of them again, both united in one cause...survival.

It had been an unsettling moment for the girl, but one in which she'd found common cause with the sith, something she'd never thought possible. It had been the moment that she'd accepted the memories, the past that it showed her, not her and her at the same time. Emerging from the encounter as something else, something between the two. Not quite the girl she'd been, but not the Sith who she'd once been either. Instead of staying to face the judgemental stares of the Jedi the girl had run, drifting into the arms of the Confederacy. A sanctuary she could claim while trying to figure out what had happened, who she really was.

She'd avoided Silver space for a while, as long as she could, but there was no way she was going to miss this event, a horde of wild sithspawn couldn't keep her away, although funny story...they'd tried very hard. Nervous hands smoothed down the pink dress she'd pulled on, slipping through the doors, one hand raised in apology.

"You know...aren't you the one who lectures me for using the force when I shouldn't?"

Yuroic spun around and spotted Asaraa, she had finally arrived and he could not be more pleased. He settled his nerves and gave her a big, firm hug. He was glad to have his daughter here with him, it had been too long and he missed her dearly as he did whenever he was away from his family to fight the war with the Sith. He shook his head, "so I can't make this perfect for Jairdain cause you used to try and wave your hands to get out of doing chores?" He stuck his tongue out at her, then took a moment to admire her dress, she looked beautiful and he was so proud of her.

"No Caedyn? Scared him off? I mean I thought he would have looked nice dressed in a pretty dress as a bridesmaid" he winked to her, "you look great, dress length that is actually sensible!" Yuroic teased, who still had nightmares of that cursed prom dress he saw Asaraa wear one year. Looking over to the wedding area, "what do you think? Think she will like it? I dunno if it is right, dunno if Jairdain should settle for a guy like me, I ain't close to amazing as she is..." Yuroic admitted shuffling on the spot a little. Hopefully Jairdain wouldn't see sense.

It didn't take Marina very long to change and Jairdain laughed slightly when TK let out a whistle of appreciation. What he had said, she still didn't understand droid speak, but the reaction from her friend indicated it was amusing at least. Letting out a sigh, she smiled when Marina said she seemed to radiate.

"Thank you, my friend!"

Walking out together felt natural. Having been on more than one adventure together, they just fit well. Today was going to be a good day and Marina provided an anchor of sorts for the bride.

Sensing the arrival of Asaraa, she knew it was time to head to where the wedding would be.

She and Yuroic had picked out their decorations, selection of food and everything else together. Jairdain just hoped everything would go as planned. With everything the two of them had been through it wouldn't surprise her if something foul ended up happening.

"Do you think...Ugh, I forgot what I was going to ask. I just hope this goes as planned and we don't stutter over our vows. That's not something I usually do."

After today, she and Yuroic would have the rest of their lives and she had no doubt this was exactly what she wanted.
