He takes his portion of water and ration. "Can't wait to get off this planet. Take a shower, have a good meal and sleep." He sat down in the dirt. Time to eat and rest. He could see his ship in the distance.

"Thanks for coming. I don't know if I could have done this without you."

She smirked and handed him a ration bar and some water, giving herself some of the same. "Sleep....I can't wait to remember what a good night's sleep is like." Kay took a bite of her ration bar, "I had to come. You couldn't be trusted alone with that amulet. I'm just glad that you're finally free of it." Hopefully he was finally free from it...

He takes a sip of water to wash down a piece of the ration bar. "I hope you are right. I can still hear it but is faint." He was able to ignore it awhile awake. He wasn't sure how it would effect his dreams. Only time will tell.

"What is your next adventure after this?"

She finished up her ration bar first before having some water. "I'm not sure. I'll probably free more slaves. Didn't do too badly the last time. I might not be able to free them all, but every little bit helps. At least you'll be able to live your life again, too."

"yeah and not worry about Maddie finding it. That was scary." He says with a shudder. "I don't know what I would have done if I lost her. I didn't know I could love someone that much." He finishes his ration bar. "We probably should get moving if we want to reach the ship before nightfall."

Kay nodded. "Yes, the sooner that we get to leave this place, the better." She finished up her ration bar and bit of water before getting to her feet. Fatherhood suited Hawk. It helped him to grow up. Now all that he needed to do was to get home to his daughter and to his mother.

She smiled a little as she walked. They were on their way back. Things were looking up. It won't be long now until he would be home and Kay would be off on some other adventure. She never could stay in the same place for long. Not anymore.

Dark clouds were gathering over the ship in the distance. A streak of lightning lite up the sky. Hawk glances at Kay. "We better find shelter and quick I don't like the look of that sky."

Oh that didn't look good. It wasn't as though there was buildings or caves to hide in. However there was a stone outcropping not too far away. Kay pointed to it and then quickened her pace. "It's not complete shelter, but it'll have to do until we get to your ship."

"Yeah it the best that we can do." Hawk quicken his pace along with Kay. He kept glances at the sky. The storm was moving closer. Lightning bolt struck above them. The sound was almost deafening. The wind picked up. A few drops of rain fell on them. A raindrop fell on his unprotected skin. It burned.

"Acid rain." He yells to be heard over the storm as they reach the stone outcropping.

Kay hurried along, keeping her focus on where they needed to go, for fear that looking up might cause her to lose her footing. She covered her head to protect herself from the acid rain, though she could feel it burning through her sleeves. But at least it was only spitting out and not downright pouring.

Once under the safety of cover, she slid down against the rock wall and sat down. "We're not catching much of a break, are we?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

"No.. We aren't." Hawk sat down next to Kay against the stone wall. He pulled his feet in just in time as it started to pour. "This explain why there is no sign of life here." The rain made a hissing sound as it hit the lava streams.

"This is bad,". He mutters. A vision play before his eyes. "We gotta go now. That lava is going to overflow." He says pointing at the stream that was slowing getting bigger.

The hissing rain made her want to shrink back under cover even more. But then she saw the lava flow. Oh great. Kay pulled out her extra shirt out of her satchel and wrapped it over her head. "I guess we'll be running the rest of the way to the ship then....Did you need some extra cover for your head? I can give you my extra slacks."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"No, I'm fine." He pulls out a blanket and drapes it over his head. Making it look like a Jedi cloak. "Please tell me that you know how to force dash." They were about an two hours away by walking. He hopes to cut the time down to an hour by force dash. "It going to be a long walk in the acid rain. These covering won't last long in this."

She shook her head. "No. I can run like a crazy person, however...." Kay offered him a little smile. Gotta keep both their spirits up. "...But how is it done? Similar to the jump, but....try to make my legs move quickly?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

Hawk smirks while thinking didn't Shaw teach Kay anything. "Yeah very similar. Let's go." He moves out from the rock covering. Immediately the acid rain covers him. He winces a little. The blanket over his head wasn't going to last long. "We have to move fast." He takes Kay hand. "We will run together."

Shaw taught her mostly about a bit of fighting. The two of them were too busy in their marriage with stopping wars and the Legion to even get spare time enough for training. Most of her strength lay in healing.

Kay took his hand and focused on the Force, concentrating on it's energies to help her leg muscles. She gave his hand a squeeze when she thought that she was ready and started to run, her other hand shielding her eyes from some of the bits of rain that could splash into them.

Together the force ran through the acid rain. The water splashing up on his pants. He was glad that he wore his hiking boots. They were protecting his feet for now. "Look....over there." He spotted another stone ledge. He ducked under the stone ledge. His boots were smoking. He removed what left of the blanket.

Kay however was not wearing hiking boots, but they were strong enough to last, at least on this part of the journey. Her extra shirt did well enough, but could go no further. She waited a few moments to catch her breath before she spoke. "Too bad you can't operate your ship remotely to pick us up..."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Yeah. I never wanted to enslaved the ship to a remote. Too many things can go wrong." They were still pretty far away. The ship look to be about a mile away from them. "Still to far away." He comments to her. "To use the force" He didn't want to risk accidentally damaging the ship.

"I think we are pretty safe here for the moment."

Kay nodded and sat down. At least she could take a break from concentrating. She brought out her water rations again and shared them. "Yup...and my black hole idea in Kessel seemed pretty good about now..." It was a wonder how anyone could stay on this planet.
