"Yeah. It looks like it." He finally finds a patch of area to land the ship. The ship lands on the lava rock with a thud. It shifts slightly than settles down. "We are only about 5.5 miles away from the volcano. We are going to have to climb it,".

Getting rid of the amulet was gong to be dangerous with heat and lava. Not to even mention possibly of running into a Sith. "Ok let's go and pack a few days worth of ration, water, and survival gear."

Kay unbuckled herself when they landed, not really looking forward to this, yet wanting to see it through at the same time. She immediately began packing her satchel, or rather just adding to it as she already had some food and water rations to begin with.

When finished she waited for Hawk to take the lead. "Please show me that you didn't forget the amulet at home..."

Hawk packed a small backpack with all sorts of gear. The last thing he was going to put in the backpack was the amulet, "Yes, I have it." He shows it to her it a wrapped piece of cloth. The amulet was blood red and it was pulsating. "I never seen it like this." He tells Kay before stuffing it into the backpack.

She did not like the look of the amulet. But at least it was there. And if they had to throw his whole backpack into the lava pit, she'd do it.

Kay grinned to lighten the mood a little. "Don't forget to bundle up. I hear it's a bit nippy outside."

Hawk smirks at Kay. "Be nice. Or I will throw a "snow" ball at you." He jokes back. He put the pack before heading off of the ship. The smell of sulfur was strong. It tickled at his nose making him wrinkle it, "Agh..the smell." He says to her as he goes down the ramp. The black hole idea was looking better and better.

The ground was black and rock. It made a crunchy sounds as he walked on it. It was good thing he had hiking boots on.

"Oh ha ha ha. Remember....this was your idea, not mine." Kay followed him down the ramp and onto the surface. Oh it was hot, hotter than she had wanted. And the fact that they were here was due solely on his stubborness. At least they could see the volcano clearly. She began the long trek. One foot in front of the other.

"I know." He says as they walk together on the lava rocks. The volcano appeared far away to him with every footstep. He rubs his eyes. They had only gone half a mile before Hawk had to stop. "I gotta stop." Between the heat and the walking, he had grow weary. "I feel drained." He tells Kay. He takes a long drink of his water.

The amulet humming and pulsating sound had increased. "This stupid thing won't shut up." He says place the pack on the ground. "Shut up. Be quiet." He yells at the amulet.

Kay grew concerned as he drank a lot of water. "Go easy on that..." Not to mention that he stopped so soon. As far as the sound was concerned, she couldn't hear it.

"Why don't we just fly over the volcano and drop it? Or we could still go to to the black holes...."

"NO! I have to see this thing destroyed with my own eyes." He snarls at her. He stands and picks the bag up. "Let's just keep going." He felt bad for yelling at her. "Sorry Kay. This is driving me nuts. I can hear it. It doesn't WANT to be destroyed."

Kay stepped back as he yelled at her. It was odd behaviour for him. But at least he was on the move again. She just trudged on behind him. "Of course it doesn't want to be destroyed. The thing is evil. But you have to do it for Maddie." Yup, just keep reminding him of his daughter. That could help.

"Yeah I know. Do it for Maddie." He moved along slowly, They had only gone a little over a mile when Hawk stopped again, "We should stop and make camp." He takes the pack off his shoulder. He was physically and mentally exhausted. His head was throbbing.

He pulls out his sleeping bag from his pack. His fingers brushes the amulet, it felt cool to the touch. "Ahhhh." He says as it relieved his pain. He hope Kay didn't notice. He was conflicted. He knew in his heart it should be destroyed but the amulet has done some good.

She didn't like the idea of sleeping out in the open. Especially on this planet. Well hopefully it was just for one night. Kay didn't have a bedroll, she just used her cloak to lay down on and her satchel for a pillow. That was all that she needed. "We should sleep in shifts. I'll take the first watch."

"Good idea. Just wake me up when it is my turn." He rolls the sleeping bag out on the rocky surface. He lays on top of it. Too warm to sleep in it. He closes his eyes and fall asleep.

The amulet was nearby casting a greenish glow. It was healing Hawk awhile he slept trying to tempt him into keeping it.

For a while, Kay just stared at the sky, then the volcano in the distance, then the sky again, until finally she looked to Hawk. Yup. He was sleeping. No doubt he would probably start to snore too. She clenched her jaw as she saw that stupid amulet glowing, narrowing her eyes at it. Evil little thing. But it didn't surprise her that Hawk would end up with something like that. A crutch for him to lean on after the horrors of dealing with Masq. Kay's crutch was her obsession with tea. At least that was harmless.

A couple of hours later, she reached out and started to nudge him awake. "Wake up. Time to get up sleepyhead."

When he slept that is when the dream visions came to him. In visions, Hawk saw two consequence. Keeping the amulet would lead him to the darkside. The other would lead him to regret and loss. One day he would be face with a loss that could have been stopped if he had the amulet.

He woke in cold sweat when Kay nudged him. "I'm up." He says sitting up. His eyes drawn to the amulet. The thing was glowing green again. "I'm not fooled." He wraps the thing back in his pack. He glances at the sky. He wanted to get moving again.

After resting there for a couple of hours and watching Hawk, she wanted to sleep too. But the sooner they got this done, the better. And she didn't quite trust the amulet and Hawk being alone.

So she packed up her cloak and satchel, dusting herself off before looking to the volcano. "Alright, let's go." Kay waited for Hawk to move ahead of her so that she was sure that she they wouldn't be separated.

"Ok." He felt a little bad that Kay didn't get a chance to sleep. "Sorry about this Kay. I know you didn't get a chance to rest. I..I...just need to keep going." He took the lead again as they walked toward the volcano.

He was going to tell her about his vision when they came upon a lava river blocking their path. He glances at Kay. "What do you think? We could try force leaping it."

She sighed as they approached the lava flow. "Force jump it? That's fine if someone knows how to do it. Unless you plan on carrying me?" Kay hadn't learned that skill. Her first and only attempt on it failed and with this amount of danger, she wasn't going to try to risk death just to work on a new skill.

Hawk rubs his jaw. "No. That is too far to carry you for a force jump. Hmmmm". He glances around for inspiration. He bends down and toss a small rock into the lava. It floats for one minute than sinks. "Alright here is my idea. I will put huge rocks in the lava stream for you to across than I will force leap over the stream."

She smirks as he almost suggested that she weighed too much. But his idea on the rocks was a good one. Yet also dangerous.

"Okay. But please be careful. I don't want to go swimming...." Hopefully he would be able to concentrate enough to make it easy for her.
