What is the Empire of the Lost?
The Empire of the Lost is an Imperial faction made up of a coalition of Imperial Remnant, Eternal Empire, and Elysium Empire members and refugees who have come together to restore order, law, and prosperity to their region of the galaxy. They have their capital on Lianna, a large ecumenopolis in the Outer Rim, and are ruled by a player elected Grand Moff and player run Moff Council, with various factions within the Council having different opinions on how to best run the Empire and move forward. These include reformists who seek a relatively peaceful expansion of Imperial power by crushing pirates, terrorists, insurrectionists, Mawites, and other ne'er do wells to improve the lives of its citizenry through security and trade, hardliners who take a revanchist and classic Imperial approach to ruling, and moderates who try to bridge the gap between the two. The future is up in the air for this fresh new Empire-will it forge a better and new kind of state free from the chains of the past? Or will it tread down the same path to despotism and authoritarianism like so many of its predecessors? Can the fractious factions be reconciled together enough to form a strong Imperial fist, or fall to pieces due to infighting? Will it seek rapid expansion through military conquest, or slower expansion through peaceful means? It is all up to the players!
What roles can I play in the Empire of the Lost?
Presently, a ton of roles are available right now at all ranks. You can serve in the Imperial Army, Navy, or New Imperial Security Bureau (including a resurgent Inquisitiorous!), or you can take on a more political role as a Moff, planetary governor, or even as a small scale mayor or bureaucrat. Faction leadership is willing to work with you on pretty much everything! The stars are the limit with what roles and stories you can come up with and more roles and lore are being added all the time.
What is the faction OOC philosophy?
We try to encourage a fun, open-minded, civil, and active community in the Empire. The faction owner(s) see themselves as more coordinators than dictators, just making sure everything fits into the lore in a cohesive manner and helping people to develop their own ideas and plots. In terms of activity, the owners promise to provide you with multiple threads a month to roleplay on based on your preferred RP activity and type, with some of the threads being more open ended, some of them with specific objectives, and some of them even DMed by the owners themselves. We also strive to coordinate with other factions to encourage plots and roleplaying with them as well! Overall, we take great pride in our ability to form an inclusive, active community!
Are Mercenaries Welcome?
Yes! The Empire has many opportunities for mercenaries in our threads, and you can even join as an affiliate Imperial Citizen if you wish and have your home be based in the Empire. Coordinate with us and you will have the ability to join in our threads as well!
Are Force Wielders Welcome?
Yes! There are opportunities for both Dark, Light, and Grey characters and you can apply for an authorized force wielder permit to live in the Empire if you would like as well!
