Feast of Delcarde: SJO Dominion of Toydaria (AC-36)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
jGO3Jv1.png

A mud ball of a world, Toydaria was once a vassal of the Hutts, serving as a backwater world to stash cargo one wouldn’t want others to steal. The world is a hotbed of grab-worms, poison and infection. Toydarians have not been heard of within the galaxy for years, their business needs retreated when the Hutts Cartels began to grow. Small villages once dotted the muddy landscape, but there is little evidence that they survived.

Then, a distress signal came within range… Ancient, and on a channel that hadn't been seen for nearly twenty thousand years. Jedi investigators were dispatched, and reported a crash landing. Medical relief for the injured from debris has been requested. However, opposed to standard transports, more exotic means to get down to the planet as opposed to transports is required courtesy of jedi artisans, is necessary to get down to the planet.

Resources on the world, such as food and farms, are sparse. With an isolationist view, the Toydarians are doing what they can to feed their people while also protecting their dwindling resources. With a crash from an unknown ship, injuries have become widespread, damaging one of their cities and the surrounding farmlands. Putting aside their pride, the King called for aid, an act which makes quite clear just how bad their current situation truly is. There is not much in terms of space for treating patients, and movement is restricted to smaller land based transports, which may evacuate the overflow of injured and sick via the orbital tether elevator to medical ships in orbit.

Wrath of Delcarde: An ancient, twisted ship -- The Delcarde -- crashed and released things... Malformed and without actual shape compared to what they might have been. The cathedral ship, left over from the Crusades, emptied the creatures into a swamp and the local Toydarians found themselves unfortunately infected by them. Jedi investigators and guardians are recommended to investigate with environmental protection suits. Early reports indicate that the ship didn't enter the system from hyperspace, but had been traveling between systems at sub-light speed. Scans indicate a heavy Force presence within, and biological scans reveal mutated humans.

But… The Delcarde was not alone, there was another that had been mostly cannibalized to keep the one ship running. Fleet actions and engagements are welcomed in case some of the older point defense weapons might be working.

Goal: Jedi investigators and guardians investigate the Delcarde, determine threat level, and if needed, request sterilization of the wreckage to prevent Rozzum infection.

Goal 2: Debris and wreckage: Sections of a second cathedral ship - cannibalized to keep the Delcarde running - are in a decaying orbit. Fleeters have two options/tasks in mind: A chance to investigate and possibly find treasures from a time before the fall of the Jedi Order and the Republic. Also, to prevent larger pieces that might not burn up in atmosphere from reaching the planet. Be careful, though - its point-defense weapons might activate if a ship comes too close.

Triage X: Fungal infections, flesh eating sicknesses, bone rotting, and insects have spread some of the more dangerous and infectious illnesses on the world. However, the Toydarians and Hutts never tried to stop it, and made sure it continued in areas of importance to protect them and their storehouses of resources. Wars have been waged in the past between the Toydarians, which inevitably spells casualties even on a small scale such as this. The oxygen and moisture-rich swamps mean rust for droids. Biot medical officers and Triage Class Medical Super Carriers from Sakura, under direction from medical SSD Kiyomi have been dispatched into deep orbit with a docking tether and orbital elevator to descend to the planet. Transportation across the planet is limited to some land-based vehicles as opposed to flying medvac to move patients. We have the resources and supplies, but the capabilities to house and set up long term treatment is limited.

Goal: To move injured and sick from the medical camp to orbital elevator for extraction. Moving through the swamp areas is difficult, good communication and working together is the key to success.
Units: Ranger Combat Medics, The SIlent

A Throne of Glass: Building bridges and stronger ties with the Toydarian king would be beneficial. Indeed, they did ask for help, but they are also a crafty species and will certainly not fawn over the Jedi. Their natural resistance to Jedi mind tricks and persuasion can also make them more difficult to read in certain situations. Ambassador Robes are recommended to aid with the meeting. Information about King Calatu has been made available -- he is a popular figure, loved by many for being willing to put his pride aside in order to protect his people. Respect is highly valued, and political games would be viewed negatively, as preventing a war for resources between the cities is more important.

Goal: Meet with the King and offer food reserves, medical aid, and construction supplies in order to prevent a possible resource war. It may also be a good chance to negotiate terms of recovery for historical artifacts pulled from debris.

Bring Your Own Objective: The world is strange compared to some. Technology for farming is important, but speeders have been mostly outlawed, given the flying nature of the Toydarians. Upper atmosphere ships are rarely allowed, and most Silver Jedi ships are currently in deep orbit.

Goals:
  • There are other points of interest: On the surface in the mountains, there is an old relay for communications that can be investigated.
  • Investigations: There may be remnants of droids and debris from ships left behind on the moon of Toydaria, with its coral canyons and dried lake beds. Investigate a small signal that was detected, possibly from a defunct smugglers den.
  • Do your own thing: Have fun, but respect the local laws and culture! Toydarians fly around their world, and thus flying craft are quite rare, except in restricted places such as the capital city. The swamps are full of spores and parasites for the unwary, and resource farms are valuable at pretty much all times. Endangering them could lead to a war for resources.

Toydaria was not an easy world to land on... if anything it may have been proving one of the more challenging in terms of what the Silver Jedi had face. An orbital elevator could help but it was mostly being set up to receive from the surface patients and to get down tot he surface well something special had been called in. A more exotic means as the jedi master stood on the bridge of the Kiyomi. Sleek and massive a civilian super star defender class designated for medical services. With tens of thousands of medical staff, jedi healers, gamorrian nuns who valued helping, the silent who walked the halls and their strange effect was benefited to aid in healing. To the more advanced jedi healers that served with the likes of Sakura developing new medical tech.

She stood taller and ready given her small size and held out a hand mostly for show. In truth the chevron pad on her wrist didn't need much fanfare. Sleek, thinsuited so it was near impossible to get in the way and with a holographic hardlight display that showed the gate. On the planet they had given the Toydarians the dispersal pods that acted as a second gate and no planetary shields to get in the way or massive interference. So when the rumble came to the ship that was quickly stopped and the sound of displacement while the technology reversed engineered from the mystical loops and understanding of Kwa technology activated. It did with most of the engineered who had been working on it thanks to the recovery efforts of [member="Maple Harte"] and Matsu at an old clone wars CIS lab.

The connection was made and the first group heading down to the surface itself where the wreckage and initial attacks with a point of contact had happened. Jedi investigators had gone down and gathered as much information for guardians, brutes, force warriors and sentinels to have a lay of the land. Information from the scans about the wreckage was revealing of what it was from the ground and from space. Roughly fifteen thousand years old, cannibalized cathedral ships from the Pius Dea crusades. Somewhat of a mystery as they didn't have some records from that time but the few jedi who studied history beyond the cool stuff knew that meant the Order of the Terrible glare a corrupted branch of the jedi who tortured their padawans into serving.

They were also know for their archaic rituals that tampered with the force and brought forth creatures of dimensions that didn't operate within the bounds of their normal space and time. THings that the mind tried to give form to that was considered at times madness inducing and dark. Ancient powers that if they were still around... though from reports they had gotten several hundred survived thousands upon thousands of years eating the minds and bodies of those they had been called forth with until Skywalker and his jedi found them and ended the legacy of them on a world... it showed these things could have a realy long life and the reports of inhuman shaped things... that seemed mutated could meant that they had been on the ship and breeding the humancentric crusaders like cattle to survive being in the void with now navigational computer.

The jedi master continued to look upon it all, to see what they could do from here while she was bringing up the displays. Hardlight of the planet with vivid colors, the muck lakes, where the cities were located and the food stores. Their farmlands were small... much of it was unsettled with different areas disnated for different cities or clans and there were sections that had been getting hit with storms and grabworms that killed attempts to expand agricultural efforts on the planet. One of the reasons why they had retreated was to try and preserve what areas they could and not have war or sabotage between the cities ravage the planet. They had brought some supplies but the world itself was not set to be a vast farmland so the teams on the ground would get a chance to improvise as the jedi master was laying out a few more things.

She continued to bring up xome of the information not just about the planet but where exactly they were headed to. The medics, the healers, the Silent had been sent to one of the damaged cities. It was smaller then the main capitol and out of the way deeper in the swamps but they had chosen it for a reason. Less around them, fewer chances of the food being poisoned or destroyed normally. That also meant access into it had been harder to do with waypoint beacons in the swamps. It would make for something difficult to fight if they had to... thankfully there were some converted transports. Heavy respulsor lifters that could move through slowly when loaded with patients and some of the osmatic field projectors. The highly oxygenated swamps and spores would clog and damage the filters and projectors in time but it should be able to work if they kept a decent pace.

She had planned for several things to happen on the world... mostly using the force to see and her own estimation of the skills of most of the silver jedi... she didn't have the exact details but an idea of how things could proceed in the first two major areas... investigation of the ship had jedi shadows on stand by. It would require authorization for them to properly go down and fight, these were not silver shadows... they respected the chain of command and answered to a councilor or someone on the assembly if needed. It was smarter and safer to have a group with the wisdom and ability to see how they could best be used then leaving it to them..black and white morality with little subtle looks at the difference was a dangerous thing... whoever gave silver shadows capabilities like the ancient covenant was.... strange and foolish. THese shadows had become corrupted because they answered to no one but themselves and they always agreed with each others decisions.

So where did that leave the jedi master herself.. here on board the Kiyomi in one of the meditation chambers as information flowed into the ship. The medical staff on the planet was working to try and handle the overflow.... resources and supplies they could make here on the ship it was only a matter of getting them here.... so ranger combat medics were sent to become escorts along with the silent in the caravan among jedi healers and doctors who had come to work with Sakura. She sent a message down tot he planet as the shuttle to get them to the orbital elevator was prepared to leave. A few of the nurses stood there as ranger combat medics were geared up with projectile slig throwers tpo prevent igniting some of the methane and high oxygen sections. They were trying to keep it safe as the requisition agent they were meting from the planet.

"Welcome welcome." The petite by most standards hutt was one of the ones who had been exiled here for birth defects with their clan. A birthmark on his... her face marred them as defective in some cases but their progenitor didn't want to get rid of them... so exiled to a vassal world and they were young still. A few hundred compared to most hutts and without the massive bulk so they were still able to move around under their own power. They had the manifest for the shuttle with the different ones. From there heading to the orbital elevator and down with the first transports bringing medical transportation beds and some of their doctors. "Master Jedi, I am glad to see such an impressive ship. If you ever want to sell it... I am sure we can work something out."

She gave the hutt a look standing there and motioned them back towards the shuttle where they could all be standing around. She closed the door and let the part of the operation continue. There was still a good deal of things that needed to be done... specifically she had to... hopefully get some decent diplomats. Walking along the length of the shuttle bay as the hoop was set up for them to make it to the capitol and meet with the king and his court. The toydarian ruler wasn't exactly the most... well he wasn't fawning over them. If anything this seemed to be something he hadn't wanted to do preferring isolation. He asked for their help because it was in the best interest as opposed to actually wanting them there... A matter of putting aside his own pride to do what is right and she didn't want to give insult to it.

SHe had set up diplomatic dossiers for the jedi ambassadors who were being assigned. All information about local customs that could be given and history, art, points of interest to bring up conversation. A small ranger escort of guardians were being assigned, THeir armor gleaming with black, silver and the Antarian rangers emblem on their chest. THe armor was more compacted and sleek then Katarn armor which made it more ideal for moving around with a species that would be flying around. SMall respulsors and built in equipment for defenses measures in case of problems with dissidents that might not like them coming in and providing supplies. The mentality of warring over resources and a new king or queen taking over cause the previous perished from lack of food could be tempting.

The king himself though was going to be tricky but the jedi master had a small smirk on her face. THe information he gave so a few of the jedi could go off and investigate the moon. A site of fighting between the clones and CIS long ago in case anyone wanted to try and find something. She found herself going up to the secondary meditation chamber and she sat down. The team going towards the capitol itself had their pathway and could head off as they needed to. She would remain up here with the Kiyomi and monitor activity where it was needed. The work all of them were going for though on the surface would hopefully give some lessons to the padawans that went as well as the masters.

"All things are green across the board master Ike." The voice came as she found a seat. The meditation chamber gleaming and it was designed with the stones for meditation and mental capabilities. She reached out feeling the ship with the nnth metal and the agena.... warmth from force crystals that seeped into every piece of metal making it stronger. To the healing units that were preparing, nurses, staff, their biots. Since Sasori did well it made sense that their staff would do such. Jedi healers that glowed brightly with the force as their robes had been designed to make them walking healing crystals of fire. Great for scenarios like this were they could augment jedi healers and keep the doctors calm when they were up to their ankles in blood or bodies from the field.

She could feel the labs that were working on slightly modified strains of crops the toydarians grew but they would be more resistant to some of the parasites and fungus on the world able to grow without being fully destroyed. Wouldn't beat a massive agricultural station but this wasn't about hand waving and coming in to take over their world it was about helping the people because they asked and not demanding compensation in return. THe jedi master pushed herself, opened her mind to the world itself and wrapped around it. THe abundance of life on the smaller scale was important and she could feel a great deal more.. THe swamps, the forests teemed with it while the muck lakes with some of the cities were filled with struggle and wanting. She reached out to add a soothing sensation to the other jedi, to bolster them, to transfer the force and calmness to them. Her necklace glowed rightly with the lightside as the crystal channeled the force into her body and she outwards.

THe world was thick and oppressive. A swamp wasn't always great as the jedi master stood there looking out. The way down to the planet wasn't exactly... natural but the jedi artisans and tech division well... they had done it. A means to move around without ships so having went through it the jedi master was instantly assaulted with the heat even through his protective circlet on his wrist. Exposed chest, short hair and sash but his boots sunk slightly into the mud when the scents came.

Rotted vegetation, methane, corpses, burnts and twisted metal, the arid scent of flesh and ozone from where the fires had ignited with the high oxygen and heated the air. The humid swamp had become oppressively thick and soupy with heat like walking through a furnace in a jawa's sandcrawler. The jedi master though crouched and was waiting for the others while he focused on his protective shielding,

To keep the spores out of his lungs one of the osmatic field rebreathers were used. SMall and compact but it could fit over the face and was based off of technology adapted from the silent. Sadly large scale portable versions were harder to do then one for a single persons breathing. He remained where he was allowing for the others to come through and join him. He could expand his senses and the debris from the ship was spread across a massive area as the jedi master stood back up.

He was uncertain about some of the others who might have come down, they weren't exactly a battle tested unit... still he was certain of one thing. Sera would know and be able to handle herself. The others he could change the tactics as needed with how much skill they had and what he could see or feel. Walking through the swamp itself though he moved finding places were it was more sturdy and he wasn't sinking into the muck. "Be careful where you step.

Objective Two:

"Pressor." The words came out as Cathbodua moved. The lights of the osmatic field were illuminating the area they were in as spores showed in yellow, green, red, purple swirls around them. The anti-sepsis field as her hands were moving along the length of the toydarians body. The spores in the swamp were flesh eating and had infiltrated the air sacs an lungs making the necrotized tissue across most of his body. ""We have more bleeders." ONe of the nurses called out as the jedi healer looked up. Her eyes under the face mask of her uniform gleaming and expressionless.

The arkannes robes though and her bodysuit gleamed in the force as she was using it to revitalize herself and the staff working here. twenty seven hours since they had managed to get down to the planet, moved across on a forced march with converted repulsor lifts that were used by some of the hutts who were on the world. The higher then average oxygen and moisture caused as many issues as sad and the spores were thick in the air and in the engines loved getting them gunked up. The jedi master though was keeping as many on their toes as she could with the force and feeding it to them to augment them.

"Increase the pressor fields and bring in more clamps." Her nurse nodded and started relaying it as one of the droids brought out a trey and the synthetic muscle and flesh. Her laser scalpel sliced into the dead and rotting tissue shearing it off as the droid took it into a tray for disposal in one of the molecular furnaces. Medical waste was being disposed of as quickly as they could and she had gotten all of it as far as she could see. The medical AI in her facemask that scanned and gave feedback where the bioscanners came up. She started patching the toydarian up over the course of another two hours.

The final touch were biodegradable staples that would be absorbed by the body when the synthetic muscle and skin would hold. Connected and sealed with artificial bacta when the droids were finished cleaning up him and the bed. The transferred to another bed in the overflowing recovery area. Normally they might have to many injured, no resources or staff.... but that wasn't the case. Thanks to things like the Kiyomi, crucible medical stations that could develop the supplies and even staff that they needed. If anything the dangerous part was aftercare. THey didn't have the means to fully transport all of them off world to recover without the risk of the spores and sicknesses getting to them again in one of the cities.

She stepped back though removing her hands and front section of her robes from the field. A tingling sensation as it stopped glowing actively cleaning and keeping anything from transferring to the patient. She slid the secondary gloves off of her bodysuits gloves and disposed of them in one of the waste areas. More jedi were supposed to be coming and the ranger medics who were here in the swamps with engineers patching and trying to convert as many of the repulsor sleds together with osmatic fields. She could see the danger though and knew that the fields were heavy, meant to be stationary as opposed to mobile sleds which would strain how it was operating. It would also expose it to more spores, the humid heat outside one of the force domes that cooled the temperature.... so it only felt like is was in the one hundred tens with enough moisture int he air to be soupy.. outside there was exhaustion, heat stroke and people passing out cause they just couldn't stay hydrated.

She stood there though and for a rare moment of reprieve the jedi removed her facial mask. Short black hair, pale skin and dark eyes were looking at one of the nurses who had joined her for a breather. "Here boss some water." Well not completely water, the vital enhancers to it made sure their bodies got back electrolytes, vitamins and just about everything you needed to preform and be up for.. she looked at the chrono since they had started. twenty nine hours working on patients, sometimes elbow deep in rotted flesh that had become puss while you tried to clear it away and remove infections. Other injuries that had come in were from well debris and shrapnel.... ankles deep in blood for the operating theater they had set up.

"Uli had to amputate a wing from one of them and another in triage died. The initial scans didn't show a piece of metal had lodged behind his eye." She drank the water with a look. "Send two more to triage and get some of the portable scanners. What about some of the red tags?" The nearly dead ones they had piled up and waiting to be seen first. Wasn't easy but they needed to make space for some of the yellow tags who were waiting just as long and being added to as green tags got worse from being cramped in such a small area. "We had three die while waiting and two while getting them to the operating theater. Also four greens died and six yellows. The spores here are harder then normal to pick up on the portable scanners."

SHe looked at her. "It is some of the best we have, the larger scanners are in danger of the spores and there is a lot of damage still in areas of the city. The hospital they had isn't exactly standing... nor is their filtration system to purify the water and air." It also was for climate control allowing the toydarians to well not die from the heat. Outside it was worse and oppressive... inside the fields they had set up it was maybe half as bad but still not ideal while fires were raging in certain areas from the methane and oxygen. "but I do have some good news." An eyebrow was perked up looking at the woman. A Hapan who had joined from the medical school in the consortium.

"Alright, don't keep me in suspense now." She looked at her and the woman smirked. Then spoke. "Të ka t Kures C Ai Sniaate Sanil." The got a look but a small tight lipped smile. Few spoke the native tongue among the jedi... one or two hapan's but it was always something nice to see and hear as she rolled her eyes at the words but wasn't going to take something like it as a good thing in all of the bad that they were going through here. The jedi master rose up and the sounds of more patients came back to her. A few minutes break, ten at best sure but she had a moment to breathe and slid her mask back on as she headed back towards the operating theater. "TIme to get back into it."
translation: You are also here with us Snow Beauty"

THe jedi master started heading back in and one of the silent came. Sanding there and she couldn't tell if it was a man or woman... no one realy ever saw them outside of their robes, no one realy knew what they did but it was not entirely the force or a placebo effect as those who might be unconscious and healing but never see or come into contact could get better same as those who knew they were there. The one though held out a datapad with information on it and they had been working in triage with the white and green marks to try and reduce who was no critical to free up some space. Easiert o have someone put a bandaid while the others are cutting down patients.

"Don't suppose you are going to grace us with a surprise that you have a lovely singing voice are you." She looked up which for a Hapan was impressive, six foot and still this thing was taller. 'I thought not... but I like you bob.... you name is bob now for ease since I have no idea what to call you." The silent remained there as she signed the datapad looking at them and they walked off towards the patients. "Thanks for the enlightening conversation as always." She kept walking and knew that some others from the orbital tether and elevator with a few more repulsor sleds to link up and form the caravan so that should be helpful... the real question would be how they manage in the heat and spores.

Objective Three:
Participants: [member="Sko'saht"] [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] [member="Jessica Med-Beq"] [member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Wu had been given a chance to show some skills... well sort of if anything she was going there with the other jedi for them to talk and try to get some ties with the king but this wasn't normal... this wasn't like walking into a place where they were hapy to see them. From the reports that had been given the king had put aside his pride to call for help when they needed it but he was still proud... just not bullheaded... so that meant handling this with a delicate touch.

Also sugar. Wu had been spending most of the trip on the Kiyomi not with the others, she had stayed in the kitchen standing on her little stool to look at and be safer near the stoves and oven. She was wearing the diplomatic robes, deep purple ambassador jedi robes that gleamed and while accuenting her form also projected a calming aura around herself. To better talk with and make possible hostile situations calm. The jedi was also aware of one other thing... this place could get hot.

The world from all information was oppressively hot and then humid on top of it while most of the cities were designed with a form of temperature regulation and climate control. There was still the whole... this is not a good thing for hair or pores approach. Her hands were touching the piping bag as she got the frosting into the bag. THen she was working on the layered object in front of her. Multicolored frosting was already mixed with fruits and berries in the sections between the layers of alternating chocolate, vanilla and strawberry cake. She squeezed and spread it out around before getting a spatula and starting to shape it around like a protective shell.

She finished after awhile and there were small dollops of cherry on top. in a ring. The emblem of the kings house and the emblem of the silver jedi order on the other... together merged and working together as she set a glass dome on it. Transparasteel that could let it been seen before she changed it to conceal it and held it there started to walk towards the main hall of the ship where the other jedi were. Wu held the tray as things were getting explained and looked up and around to see some of the others who were coming with her on this task.

"Hello." The small Jin Jedi spoke and her voice was soft as she used her front to hold up the trey and it might have obscured her face but when dealing with flying creatures you usually did want to look up. She could rely on some of the others though as the sound of the gate came. Opening to them and the jedi master stepped through to a surprise. The domed city above them had gotten something special and she could feel it on her nose. Looking at the white flakes. that she noticed were cold and spoke. "Ahhh."

Something came near her, waddling but smaller then her as she looked. "One of the debris struck out climate control systems, it turned the cooling to full blast and with the moisture in the air." Wu looked back up before she was speaking to the others but also herself. "SNow." THen a crash as one of the roofs caved in from the weight of the snow on it and she noticed that the Toydarians were not flying around. "Oh snow.... ahhhh I made a thank you for having us in your house gift." She looked at the Toydarian who held a sword out for them. They exchanged the gifts and she held the sword while looking at it and... Akari maybe could have liked this at least to make snow angels.

Hmm the sudden thought of her padawan was pressing. She didn't think Akari would be able to well be well on this world and why endanger a five year old if you didn't have to. SHe owed her former padawan Sukai and Kurenai plenty so training the girl and keeping her safe was top priority in most terms. "Cake.... you brought us food." The jin looked at him and nodded her head with her mouth forming a tight lipped smile. "Oh yes, food is essential for diplomatic talks... and drinking.... at least to the Jin... my people. It also works with many other species I am finding but not so much we all regret it in the morning."

That got some snickers but Wu was standing there as two fo the guards took the trey with the cake on it and she straightened her robes out. skylar and synthweave were very nice and comfortable thankfuly. She could feel warm all over thanks to it except her head which was exposed and her nose was like an ice cube but.... she at least had on temperature regulating clothing compared to some that might have come. It retained her bodyheat and she was walking around. Her lightsaber on her hip but she doubted she would need the blade when she looked up at most of the others who might have come down to the capitol with her. "Shall we head in?"

Objective: A Throne of Glass
Allies: [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] [member="Sko'saht"]

Once again, Jessica was performing a diplomatic mission, much like Chandaar, or even Bimmisaari before that. Wearing ambassadoial robes, she would probably be handling the more economic portion of the mission since what she knew about Yuroic would lead her to believe Yuroic would have a better handle on the artifact portion. Because the Toydarians were apparently resource-starved, especially necessities such as foodstuffs, medical supplies, and to a lesser extent construction materials, the question was what does the King demand for access to these supplies. For this reason, She has to be prepared for a variety of demands. Hopefully the other party will actually put the issues before power plays, she thought. However, she knew the Silvers wouldn't simply hand out these supplies without at least a token free-trade agreement with the rest of SJ space. She mustn't squander the Silvers' goodwill, and she knew it. But the hard part was making sure there is a proper use of the skyhook or the xorn. As she prepares to get to the xorns (or to the skyhook)...

Objective Two: Triage X

Ever since joining the Jedi, Nida had gained much more experience than she had ever dreamed. The Jedi Healers were knowledgeable, and there had never been any shortage of patients for her to work with. From refugees suffering of malnutrition, to unruly Padawans with saber burns from training, to soldiers pocked with blaster bolts and bruises. Her skills had improved with exposure and encouragement, but there was still a long, long way for her to go. Learning how to keep her head in a critical situation had been the most valuable lesson thus far.

Toydaria was a swamp world, difficult to navigate and disgustingly humid. The weather had made Nida into an absolute sweaty mess, but she realized quickly that she would simply have to deal with her own discomfort. Triage units were never easy, but this one was particularly trying.

“It looks like fungal rot.” She’d been examining and older Toydarian, Unto, who didn’t seem to want to be here. Dragged to the medical unit by his daughter, apparently. He hadn’t been terribly rude, but he’d sure made his displeasure known. “Looks like? You sure about that?” Squinting over at Nida, he appeared to look her over. “How old are you? Where’s your mommy?”

Nida paused, taken aback by the question. She couldn’t blame him for discrediting her diagnosis due to her age and absolute baby face, but the atmosphere was far too sticky for her to apologize and fetch another healer. “I am confident that you have fungal rot. I’ve seen over a dozen cases today alone., and yours is very telltale.” Her tone was still polite, but with a measure of waning cheerfulness. “It doesn’t look to be too advanced, so a few doses of antibiotics should help to clear the infection up.” Not wasting any time, the young Zeltron went about preparing the necessities for a central line placement.

“Aw hell no! You ‘aint sticking me with no needle, you big baby!” Unto suddenly became defensive at the sight of the needle, doing his best to scramble up and away from the child who was going to stick him.

Location: Windswept Lakes
Objective: BYOO

With a name like Windswept Lakes, one would expect a refreshing breeze and clear, crystal water. But here, there was only thick pools of mud, bugs, and swamp air. Rather misleading indeed. The winged Toydarians hovered about, their webbed feet just skimming the surface of the muck lake.

From the far side of the mud's edge, Aida Aquila watched their silhouettes flit about.

The Jedi traveler certainly looked out of place here. Her lithe form clad in a long tunic, trousers, and boots that went up to the knee. Standing tall, she had already caught the eye of several members of Clan Callo. Though there was nothing about her appearance that screamed Jedi, she was accompanied by an aura of calm and radiant light. She knew that the Toydarians would be wary, they were strong-willed, and able to resist mental manipulation.

So, it was very good that Aida had simply come to talk to the leader of Clan Callo. A male Toydarian approached, wings working to carrying him over the muck.

“What d'ya want, lady?”

Aida merely smiled, fixing him in her blue gaze.

“I wish to speak with Callo himself,” She spoke, “My name is Aida Aquila.”

Sko settled the helmet on his head as the ship came in to land. Wearing full armor in it's usual black with the sigil of the SJO placed over the front in a light blue. His belt held the usual assortment of tools, grenades, pistol and dagger along with the pouch for the datapad in his hand which showed all system checks as green. There was something quite securing about wearing a full set of Bes'kar with the only thing missing being the void stone he'd recently borrowed from the Silver Jedi simply because this might interfere with their ability to sense what was happening during the negotiations. Still this wouldn't matter much if everything went to plan and if it didn't he had very little doubt he'd be the most heavily armed and best equipped person in the room short of a team of special forces.

As the ship landed he entered the common area and nodded at the jedi who were part of the negotiating team. Antenna twitching he followed Wu out into the cold where his boots crunched on the fresh snow as they greeted the guards who'd lead them in through the empty streets that had been abandoned by the population with the sudden onset of cold where the only interruption was the sound of a roof collapsing. "How long is the estimated time to do the repairs? It seems your buildings are not doing terribly well under these conditions and I prefer not being buried under debris while having a meal, tends to put a stop to negotiations rather quickly."

Objective: Investigate derelict cathedral ship in orbit above Toydaria

The cathedral ship did not look like a spaceship of typical design. It was not a long wedge, make to cut through space and skies. Instead, it looked more like a mountain than anything, with armor plating that resembled slate, and structures that appeared as rocky pillars jutting out and up, as if reaching for something. There were windows, gun emplacements, and even engines, but one wouldn’t be remiss in thinking that such a ship looked out of place in the void of space, and instead would be more suited on the surface of a planet.

The VCX-100 light freighter Spectre Melody approached the ship. Its pace was slow as its sensors swept over the area, making sure there weren’t any point-defense cannons that would suddenly ignite and blow them to pieces, as well as looking for an apt docking port. After some time, one was found, but due to the lack of power, wouldn’t open under normal circumstances. Regardless, with a hard thunk, the Spectre latched onto the ancient docking port with its own.

In the airlock area, Cassius Droma was fitting himself with an environmental suit, clasping the boots closed around his legs. The door to the rest of the ship slid open, and T-4D4, a K-X series droid reprogrammed for medical purposes, stepped into the airlock area.

“Are you sure you want to be doing this with just the two of us?” the droid asked. “I’m sure Master Galen or even Sabine would have liked to come along…”

“They’re busy,” Cassius said, grabbing the bulky helmet from the floor. “Besides, I can’t wait for anyone else to arrive. If anyone else knew this was here, we’d be swarmed with opportunistic archaeologists, pirates, and scavengers in no time.” Indeed, it was quite fortunate that the Silver Jedi had received the call to aid when it had. When the young archaeologist had heard of an ancient ship that had fallen into an orbit around Toydaria, he’d immediately fired up the engines of the Spectre Melody. From the looks of things, he was the first to arrive and study the ship up close.

If everything checked out, this ship was roughly twelve thousand years old, having been stranded in interstellar space without hyperdrive by a rogue navicomputer code. It was thought that the rest of these ships, from the Pius Dea Era, were scrapped, flew into stars, or crashed into uninhabited orbital bodies. Yet, here one was, still floating around. On approach, Cassius had noted that there seemed to be panels and even whole pieces of the ship missing – possibly to keep the other cathedral ship, the one that had crashed into Toydaria, running.

With a snap and a hiss, Cassius secured the helmet onto his head. After Cassius gave T-4D4 a thumbs-up, the droid nodded and began to depressurize the cabin. The room turned dark and dim red lights began to slowly strobe. Soon, the compartment was devoid of oxygen, and Cassius reached to his belt, where his lightsaber was securely fastened.

Opening the airlock of the Spectre Melody, Cassius was met with a flat, circular doorway. Igniting his lightsaber, he began to cut into the hull of the cathedral ship.

Yuroic was wearing thick Jedi robes, it had been warned that the city they were visiting was suffering with winter climate and the introduction of snow was unfortunate for the Toydarians. He had met many Toydarian merchants on Nar Shaddaa as he grew up. Being a big part of Hutt space for many years, Toydarians enjoyed visiting and selling their wares for high prices they could get on the moon. Yuroic never distrusted them for it, taking opportunities was far but he never liked the practices of swindling the poorer people for more money than an object is worth. Yuroic crossed his arms as he felt the snow underfoot, looking around the city.

"I'm guessing Sko, that they rather get the climate fixed before they start repairing. Likelihood is that any repairs are just going to fall apart once attempted. Better to fix the problem then repair or rebuild certain buildings." He spoke to Sko before moving forward and nodding his head to the Toydarian who approach them. Thanking them in their language as he continued a conversation with Toydarian in Toydarian. "I hope that things improve quickly for you, must be frustrating not being able to fly around. I am sure that our people can come to some agreement to move forward and improve your lives." Yuroic finished and crossed his arms against his chest. Toydarian was as fluent as his Huttese but he had to learn a fair amount to converse with Toydarian merchants on Nar Shaddaa, most of them only speaking Toydarian or Huttese.

He sat in the command chair eyes flickering between the streaks of stars on the view screen and the holographic display that was slowly scrolling the data packet that had been transmitted to the Citadel on Golbah City, Geonosis.

It was a mission of aid.

And so the Viceroy of Siskeen and President of the United Siskeen Coalition had chosen to answer the call. Even now, the 7th Fleet was cutting through space for the predetermined planet. The USC Kraken was at point, the three other USC Star Destroyers and smaller support craft following in their wake. The fleet was primed for battle, yet this was not to be a mission of war but of mercy. And despite the obvious purposes that the ships were created for, mercy and aid could also be applied for the vessels under his command.

Captain Smoke walked near, a single sentence escaping with his heavily accented voice, "Sixty seconds to realspace conversion sir." Derek Dib nodded and stood from the command chair. A hand absently smoothed the obsidian suit before buttoning the jacket once. Crimson hued eyes watched the countdown. Without preamble the fleet reverted, dropping from hyperspace. Stretched out before them was the planet with several SJO ships in orbit, including a Super Star Destroyer.

"Open comms Like to Saab. To the Silver Jedi Forces, this is Derek Dib of the United Siskeen Coalition answering a request for aid sent to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. We can assist with ensuring the wreckage of the ship in orbit does not degrade into the planet's atmosphere as well as having a team on standby for assistance. Please respond."

The communication output was cut. Glancing at Captain Smoke, Derek spoke.

"All forces are to hold until our offer is accepted. Pass the order to our fleet."

The 7th fleet held formation.

Sure, Jessica's Toydarian wasn't the best, but that was discounting Comprehend Speech! That ought, in her mind, to make up for her disadvantage in hands-on experience. And yet she knew she would need to be mindful of her use of computational power, even though Comprehend Speech didn't seem to consume much Force-energy, but she knew that, with the Toydarians there was no other possible way of using the Force that it would work. Yes, the city was in a sorry state of disrepair, but as Sko pointed out, the weather issue needed to be addressed before any reconstruction could take place, and how they went around addressing the weather issues would also affect its future ability to grow food. Which crops could then be grown for food would depend on both their nutritional requirements and the local soil geography. Which would lead her to offer the construction of weather-control stations and the requisite ancillary facilities. Just that it was harder to tell if the local authorities would be subjected to moral hazard in this context. And that's not even touching on the offers of medical supplies.

"<Maybe if we could supply a few weather-control stations, we could also implement a transitional plan that would enable you to grow crops. In fact, we need some way to ensure that the weather-control stations will actually be used to enhance the local agricultural industries>" Jessica tried talking to the Toydarian next to Yuroic in a broken Toydarian.

KLaxons sounded throughout the ship. THe jedi master hadn't expected unknown ships to come into the system but they were not pirates... they were not initially known. SHe looked at the display as the computer displayed the ships. "Master Ike we have cronau signatures coming out of hyperspace." Then visual scanners came with the display of ships, seeing them would be easier then just trusting the scanners. "Run scans for active weapons and com channels. I dislike surprises but we are not just going to open fire." She got nods and information was coming in from the ships around the planet. SMaller but some of the pickets for handling and deploying fighters against priates mostly moved to be a screen and protect the medical ships in orbit.

"We are receiving com traffic." She listened, United Siskeen Coalition was odd but they were offering aid.... in warships. She raised an eyebrow but personal opinion of how it was presented aside the jedi master motioned to the others. "Prepare a data packet with what information we have for the ship in orbit." There was minimal power readings for possible left over weapons to defend and a ship had flown in to try and gather any information it could so safety was important. "THis is Master Ike of the Medical Super Star Defender Kiyomi, we are receiving you." SHe waited for visual if they wanted it and stood there speaking. Her hands clasped behind her back.

"Welcome to Toydaria, we have been getting things prepared for the medical caravan from the surface on the orbital tether. If you could help keep debris from there or the larger chunks we would not be opposed." The triage and Kiyomi might be large but weapons wise they had maybe the bare minimum to keep space and power... but null projectors could be useful against most ships in a fight just didn't damage or kill... knocking people out on the other hand... helpful.

Wearing his starkly white business suit, Rick stood out amid the decaying buildings of Toydaria.

It was intentional - Rick wanted to present himself as someone who could uphold order within whatever chaos was brewing on the planet. He knew there were other agents on the planet as well, with the same goal as him. Restoring this planet and its resources. While Rick knew very little about the planet or its people, he knew enough about business to appeal to the local populace.

Rick was late - the others had already begun talking with the Toydorian leader. But as he came closer, he overheard part of the conversation, about the dangerous weather and installing stations. He then connected with the group, emphasizing his footsteps so his interruption wouldn't be as startling.

"I apologize for my lateness." said Rick, a small translator on his chin repeating it in the native tongue. "It seems as if the weather issue might be resolved soon - but as for repairing the local infrastructure, ORME can help. And all we need from you is manpower."

OOC: Sorry if I came in suddenly - I just didn't know about this dominion until recently

Wu looked at the people who had come, business people, an armored soldier and another jedi... different while she moved around the area. THe snow was in some places and they had worked with shovels for the muck to shovel it out of certain pathways to get around the buildings. The king was looking at the others who had showed up and remained there before turning around. "I am Calatu king and..." The ridges of his brows went up as Wu bowed her head and followed him after the guards who brought in the cake. "We ware glad to receive you." Going through the doorway, the interior hallway was lined with statues and pictures of the different rulers.

The king seemed to be making some space around a table as the chairs were set out and several advisors were seated. RIsing up from their seats while waiting for the king to be seated. The more lavish at the head of the table as Wu slid into one of the seats waiting for the others to join them. She was listening to what they brought in greeting. Immediately almost offering to improve and upgrade when they had been given the information. She listened more to what few reports had been given outside. "Lets table talks of selling things or trading. We were asked to help because of the ship crashing not because we have larger means."

She remained there sitting in the purple robes and being possibly the shortest jedi one of the toydarians brought her a small box as the jin moved and place it sitting back down and at least she was able to match the height of a few of the others while sitting down now. "The climate controls were damaged by debris, weather control stations within a city don't help a lot unless you plan to give it to all. I don't want my people fighting each other over this or that. THey already have a tendency to poison each others food supplies when resources are scarce and with a crash like this medical and food supplies for survivors can place more strain on all of them."

As Rick took a seat, the monarch of the planet began responding to the delegation.

He was concerned about the climate, and how his planet's resource crisis was causing widespread conflict. Luckily, Rick's company had just the solution.

"As I've said before, my company is willing to provide." replied Rick. "We have facilities not too far from here - We can ship in fertile soil, food, water, metals, or anything you need. And I know your planet is in a crisis situation, so I do not ask for your credits. Instead, all I ask for is private ownership over a small portion of the planet, under two hundred kilometers square. My planetary scans have identified a variety of gases there that we would love to make use of."

"Of course, there are likely more deposits, and we wouldn't be taking a monopoly." continued Rick. "It's a simple deal. All we need is the land, and free aid is yours.

"But most importantly, don't forget about the others in the room who can help you."

She moves like she don't care
Objective Two: Triage X

Why did she seem to be volunteering in medical services these days? Two reasons. The obvious reason was to learn more about saving lives, to improve a skill which she had been lacking all these years. Despite her years of military and mercenary work, healing and treatment always seemed to be the last thing to be concerned about. Nowadays, her work revolved around the other end of the spectrum, to save lives instead of taking them. It was only after her work with patients that finally made her understand the stress involved. In some ways, she was reminded of her best friend, a certain Dr Aes'aon Terrani who had escaped from the First Order and now going by the name of [member="Prennis Keeoli"] in Commenor.

How could her best friend endure the sight of constant injuries, sickness and pain was beyond her comprehension.

The second reason was to undergo the trials of the Je'daii Order. She had sworn to complete them, to walk a path of neutrality while staying with the Silver Order. It was a request that had been accepted by the Jedi Council, much to her surprise and gratefulness. Someday, she would complete her trials and try and reform the Order.

But for now, she needed focus on the never ending queue of patients. A thankless job to be certain, but luckily she had finally finished her shift duty and decided to head out for a cup of tea. That was when she overheard the conversation between a patient and a purple Zeltron.

"She's right about the fungal rot."

The blonde kept her cool as best as she could and looked at the stubborn Toydarian. If only she could use the Force to ask him to accept the treatment, but unfortunately he was resistant to such tricks.

"You can choose not to have the treatment, but we can't help you if the disease spreads. Might need to amputate your infected limb if we drag it."

The communications chirped and Lieutenant Saab connected the frequency with the holodisplay. The image of a woman leapt to static life as her words echoed from a slight delay which reminded Derek of a voice dubbed holo movie. He nodded along to her words before speaking in turn.

"Your terms of assistance are acknowledged Master Ike. My fighters will not deploy as this is not a combat zone. Weapon systems will remain offline as well although our shields will remain active in case of automated systems aboard the foreign vessel. Dib out."

Turning away as the holographic display flickered into non-existence, he nodded to Captain Smoke who awaited orders.

"Diamond formation with the destroyers. Any wreckage in a debating orbit is to be tractor beamed away. Keep a vigilant eye on the vessel and maintain distance. If those weapon systems are online we don't want to incur their unwanted attention. However close the distance to half that of the other ships. If the vessel wants to open fire, we can handle a little bit of a pounding. Shunt all power from weapon systems into shields."

Moving back he took a seat as the destroyers began to move into position, their tractor beams anchoring unwanted debris away from the planet. Opening his personal comms he spoke into it.

"William, collect a pair of YVH 1 droids and board the 'Eclipse'. Investigate the ship. Remember, this is a mission of peace. Out"

The continued work kept the jedi master on her toes as she was going through with some of them. THey had gotten several of the patients onto the first sled and had managed to work on it as she looked up. Seeing the spores swirl as one of the nurses came to her. "We are getting backed up in triage, some of the beds for lss critical are grinding to a halt." THe jedi master turned her head to look at the nurse and her face mask was on until she seeing where she needed to go and walked through the area. Stopping by the bed where two of the healers were going over one patient. "Does it require both of you to work on one patient when you have an entire area piled with people?"

She didn't leave much. "Understand we are here to stablize for transport, if the patient doesn't want treatment, make sure he is able to be moved. GIve him aftercare and have him sign out against your medical advice. THen move on." She looked at the two of them and motioned walking as one of the nurses came with two younger jedi healing and three from the medical branch of the service corp. "Ah fresh meat." There was no hint of a smile... no real worry either. She was practical and spoke motioning for them to follow. "Welcome students this is our medical center. On a normal day we treat between four to five thousand patients brought in from across the disaster so far."

She kept walking though and stopped in one of the rooms. "Any number of toydarians, hutts or jedi and rangers who have injured themselves in the swamps. We have been working on our teaching methods for this scenario. On top of this understand we are a teaching hospital, this means you are here to learn and participate with the patients." THey had the make shift hospital and were trying to get everything done. "THis is triage, the droids and nurses will tag the least to most critical, black tags means dead. As students you work up the patient, present it to a senior who will sign off and then we move the patients. We have more being brought in and you are not going to have time for talking to everyone."

He sat at the makeshift table made from a slab of durasteel resting atop several crates. On the table was a thin circular piece of plasteel with a blaster as a centerpiece ringed by power packs. The twi'lek mechanic sitting opposite leaned forward, sweat stains adorning his arraignment and sweat beading his forehead as he spun the plasteel like a top. Slowly he stopped and he stood, taking the blaster and loading the power pack into it. With a grimace revealing teeth filed to sharpened points he placed the muzzle against his temple and pulled the trigger with a shaky hand.

Nothing happened.

Collapsing back into his seat he pulled the pack free and set it once more upon the plasteel before returning the gun to it's place. Breath escaped laboriously as he laughed, the other crew standing by watching and cheering. The twi'lek rasped out, "Your turn." Catcalls came from several members of the crowd as the mechanic toweled off his face with a shop rag.

A cold smile creased the man's lips as he leaned forward nonchalantly and spun the plasteel disc. Eyes watched the mechanic with almost a bored expression as the turntable stopped. Without looking he collected the blaster and power pack, loaded it, then in a lazy motion placed the muzzle at his temple and fired.

Another empty power pack.

The crowd erupted once more though the man's expression of disinterest never left his face. He ejected the power cell and replaced both items before leaning back in a relaxing pose of comfort absently fingers picked invisible specs of lint from his impeccable suit jacket, eyes never leaving the mechanic's face.

Another spin and another sweating, shaky selection led to the blaster being placed against the twi'lek's temple. His eyes flickered to the pile of credits and jewelry, even a few weapons, that had grown with every round that passed of the Russian Roulette. The mechanic's resolve almost broke, but the man tossed him a wink that both infuriated and spurred the twi'lek into action. He pulled the trigger.

The circular blue stun bolt converged on hos head sending the man falling from his seat and twitching on the ground. The crowd cheered as bets between the fans were exchanged. Rising smoothly he nodded at Doggo who rose from her position upon the ground and used her muzzle to sweep the winnings into a pouch on her gurlanain body.

Walking away with Doggo following was when the man's comlink chirped from a breast pocket. He listened to it with feigned disinterest. At his orders from the Viceroy he sighed once then made his way over to the gunship, 'The Eclipse'. The pilot and YVH 1 droids were standing by, the ship already prepped. Climbing aboard he moved to the lockers and pulled free an envirosuit, dressing, as the droids stood on standby.

The ship exited the magcom field and headed for the massive ship, around them destroyers tractoring space debris. Over the envirosuit he strapped his weapons, just in case.

As the 'Eclipse' gently circled the Cathedral Warship, the young man had an intuitive feeling that something unfortuitous would occur. Finally the pilot found an open hangar, magcom field inactive, and soared through to settle on the barren deck. The airlock cycled allowing the man and two droids to leave the gunship, magclamps on boots and feet staggering their pace as only those in space could appreciate.

Reaching a set of doors they entered and physically pushed the doors back closed. Once the doors connected air cycled, and an interior set of doors opened. Once through the second doors he felt gravity and disengaged the magclamps. Sensor readings on hos forearm plate read pressure, oxygen levels optimum. A slight from crossed his face as he walked down the hall, the droids following.

Wrath of Delcarde:

Objective 2 – Blast the Debris out of the sky.

Location: Onboard the Unyielding Faith in Orbit around planet

The Unyielding Faith moved fast through the debris field. It dodged the debris with great skill and effort. It's turbolasers and missiles fired, smashing into large pieces, and exploding them into smaller ones. At the smaller size, the atmosphere would take care of most of the rest. A few stray bits of twisted metal hit the shields, but, the corvette's shields were more than strong enough to withstand it for a good amount of time. With each pass, it would maneuver around the debris cloud, let its shields charge back up, calculate the positions of the debris in space, and then with a full blast of its engines, it would be in the fray once more.

As it passed by, it's dual laser cannons opened up, trying to smash pieces of debris into each other to either rip it apart, or make it a bigger target for the turbolasers on the next pass. It avoided the main ship bodies, where others tried to stop it as well. Instead, it used its smaller, faster, more maneuverable size to weave through the debris, and clear a path for the boarding ships. However, they were careful to avoid hitting the larger ships, for fear of incurring the wrath of any intact defense systems.

On the bridge Allya sat in the captain's chair. Her crew members moved quickly, as they coordinated the attacks. Each piece of debris was scanned and plotted. When one was to big, it was targeted, to be destroyed, so that its smaller pieces would burn up on entry into the atmosphere. “This is going to be a long mission. But keep it up, some one has to do it, and the bigger fleet ships aren't good for this part. Let them focus on the largest pieces. Keep focused, and continue to share any data we find with the fleet, and keep in contact with the Silver forces. If they need help, we should know it in moments, not minutes. Got it?” The bridge crew shouted out an affirmative. Allya leaned forward. She hated jobs like this, she was impatient. However, it was good to protect people, even if it was boring, unglamorous work. Besides, her corvette was one of the only ships that could quickly move from debris cloud to debris cloud like this. It was a good feeling. Allya didn't worry about her weapon systems or such. She would do what it took to defend these people, same as she had done on Kashyyyk. However, her fighters remained docked. They would be of little help here. This was clean up work. She had done this before with an asteroid debris field before, too. No different here. However....she kept her scanners on the pieces before blowing them up, just in case there was something not normal here.

"<And the removal of all tariffs on goods from SJ space, if any. As for the artifacts we could possibly uncover while the weather control stations are being built, we shall keep them safe in SJ space until proper measures have been undertaken to ensure their safety on Toydaria, at which point they shall be returned. In the meantime, complete access by the local Toydarians shall be allowed for research and educational purposes>"

By now, it was becoming clear that a network of weather control stations that covered the main habitable regions of the planet was key to ensuring both peace among the civil society and the success of the agricultural recovery plan. Also, everyone else here had a point: delivery of construction materials for purposes other than for the weather control stations should wait until these weather control stations are fully operational. Yet she would be led to think that, while these weather control stations are being built, it would be possible that ancient artifacts could be uncovered, in which case she would need to plan for that sort of contingency. Ferrying in agricultural equipment was key to this entire operation once the weather control stations become operational, and she knew it. The main question being: where would the King scrounge up 200 square kilometers for ORME to establish a plant? I hope ORME is willing to use local Toydarian staff and to operate in a wasteland, Jessica thought, while realizing the implications for the King and his administration.

Taking off his helmet and placing it on his lap the Verpine sat at the table and bowed his head towards the king before reaching for whatever was in the glass in front of him. Sipping on it he relaxed, most of the negotiating would be done by the jedi while he helped to handle the logistics once the agreements were made. Doing his normal assessments of the room for exits and gauging the number of guards his compound eyes shone the light. This all stopped however once the jedi started speaking, they were almost holding the aid for ransom with their demands. Shooting an extremely annoyed look at Jessica and Kaloo he made a loud clack with his mandibles to get the rooms attention.

"Master jedi can I suggest that you stop talking and allow the Toydarians to actually say what they require? Clan Vereen demands tend to be more reasonable then what you are suggesting." Turning he nodded at the king "Now what is it you need, when do you need it, and I am sure the jedi can produce an agreement that isn't something the Hutts would create."
