SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Sith Runes: The crystal contains vitrography of Sith runes imbued with the dark side of the force. A vitrography is an engraving or carving which is on the inside of a solid object, in this case the crystal, typically through the use of lasers - though in this case through alchemy. These runes impart a defensive mind shard and mental shielding on the wielder when faced by mental force abilities - providing the wearer with both an extreme degree of protection from mental powers as well as a deterrent to dissuade attackers from trying again.
STRENGTHS

  • The amulet, dubbed the Fangs of Dorniarn, are engraved, internally, within Sith runes which impart a powerful mental barrier on the person wearing the amulet. Crafted by a master of mental subjugation and enthrallment, the protective nature of this is designed specifically for those who pride themselves as masters of mental abilities.
  • A secondary effect of these Sith runes is the reactive mind shard, which is inflicted on those attempting to breach the mind of its wearer. Unlike the defensive strength of the amulet, this mind shard is intended only as a deterrent is thus not nearly as powerful a feature- it can cause a sharp pain at best, and those with sufficient mental fortitude may protect themselves from this altogether.
  • The chain and amulet itself are mildly strengthened on the molecular level through alchemical means to prevent someone from merely ripping it off of Cara's neck, or wherever she chooses to wear it, and may be able to hold together in the rather unlikely scenario that someone manages to strike at it with a physical weapon.
WEAKNESSES

  • The alchemical nature of the metal and the forging of the amulet itself did not impart any resistance to lightsabers or energy weapons beyond whatever basic defense a metal chain and an amulet might offer to either. A lightsaber would simply cleave through it - either the chain or the amulet proper - while blasters and other similar weaponry may be able to reach the same conclusion over a slightly longer period of time.
  • Force light is, as with all objects forged with the dark side of the force, the bane of this amulet. A directed, deliberate, strike of force light will banish the dark side of the force from the amulet, rendering it inert and stripping it of all its abilities barring its physical resilience - as the molecular makeup of the metal which makes up the amulet and chain were altered to give it the resistance it has to physical stress, rather than through an imbuement of force energy.
DESCRIPTION
As a reward for participation in the taking of the planet of Tammar, Cara Dorniarn was given the opportunity to receive a creation from Braith Achlys - known also as Darth Alekto. It was by her request that she be given a trinket which may protect her from the abilities of those who attack the mind, as she has been at the mercy of her fair share of mentalists. To this end Braith created and enchanted an amulet, technically designed as a necklace but also wearable as an anklet or bracelet by tying off the chain, which would both defend Cara from all but the greatest mental expressions of the force as well as provide a painful deterrent for those attempting to "break in" so to speak.

First of all, thanks for taking the time to use the factory. I will be reviewing your submission alongside Ravenfire Ravenfire

Everything looks good here, and even though it comes in as one point over on the ratings, I'd say your first weakness is significant enough to take into that.

Trainee Approved; pending secondary: Ravenfire Ravenfire
